So I recently showed Newton In A Bottle (2001) to some of my college buddies because I remembered watching it in like 2nd grade science class and that it had a kinda cursed looking CGI cat and have since come up with an idea for a Sonic AU of it based nearly 100% on the fact that Max (the cat) can canonically turn into a marble and I was like “hey, you know who ELSE can turn into a ball??? sonic” so I have drawn up some character designs LMAO

Some notes about the designs:

- Max is a yellow cat with blue eyes in the original thing so i didn’t change his design that much other than adding shoes, gloves, and the lighter yellow on the belly and face for some variation (in addition to the fact that I sonic-ified him obviously)

- Argent is not technically a “character” per se, there’s just a can that has a picture of a husky on it in the original thing and since Max is the only real character in the thing (other than the human baby that shows up at the very beginning and as a photograph on a ball later) I wanted to add him to increase the amount of characters (because it’s not as interesting with just one lol). The armor and name are a nod to the fact that he was originally an image on a can, and I imagine him to be a sort of strong-and-silent type of guy

- Rosie is also not exactly an actual character in the source material, but there are these claw-machine-like things that have faces on them that my friend said look kinda like spiders so I decided to make her a character as well. I imagine that she would pilot a giant robot and do all the maintenance on it herself, and be very proficient with machines in general.

- I also imagine that if they were to have some kind of story it would involve a lot of machines (reference to the intermission scenes with all the gears and rube-goldberg-machine-type stuff) and, of course, physics-themed adventures that would teach physics principles to the audience of whatever media it would take place in
