So, we all know the one where Lute sacrifices herself for Adam. Imagine this.
He holds her as she dies, yelling at her not to leave him, gradually breaking down more and more. Nothing around seems to be getting through to him, neither from his soldiers nor anyone else. Until Charlie (cus her poor heart starts hurting ever so slightly at the sight) comes up and tries to touch his shoulder to snap him out of it. And the instant response is pure rage. Before anyone can react, he lunges at her with a gut wrenching scream. Lucifer and Vaggie just almost intervene when Adam pins Charlie to the ground but they are all surprised by what happens next.
His hands are loosely around Charlie's throat, not even squeezing. And she feels something dripping down on her face. She sees tears in his eyes as he screams profanities and threats in borderline mania. But it lasts barely a moment before he crumbles and his forehead lands on her chest as he begins to sob. He wants to kill her. He wants this to hurt. But losing Lute - being left so achingly alone by another peraon he dared to love - just drained all the remaining strength he had
good god this just broke me for the rest of the night and if Lute sacrificed herself this would definitely happen. poor guy would wanna take his anger out on anything because he lost anyone he loved to one person (or one blood that he hates with his guts). feel like after everything he would blame himself, because she had to sacrifice herself because of his stupid mistake and he would probably end up crying for days.
someone give this man a hug

how q!Cellbit has honestly NOT completely broken down at this point is beyond me. like if he can survive wednesday and still have some level of composure i’m going to be relatively surprised
mini ramble under the cut
they took his kid. they took all the kids. one of the last exchanges he even had with Richas was a fight
q!Mike is gone. has been gone for days now
q!Forever has been fucking drugged and he’s losing it. he’s calling a rock his son. if he’s not taking those pills he’s violent and aggressive and Cucurucho literally gave him a gun. god only knows what he’s capable of
don’t even get me started on the mystery man lMao. who is supposedly just a figment of q!Cellbit’s mind and a voice in his head. i digress
and now q!Pac, who feels so useless compared to everyone, so emotionally and physically exhausted, that he’s willing to subject himself to the “medication” as a means to find a cure. bc it’s the only way he feels useful
and so many people have their eyes on q!Cellbit. “the smart one,” the problem-solver. bc if anyone can solve whatever the fuck is going on and find a way to put an end to it, it’s him, right?
q!Cellbit’s utter fear of losing control not for himself, but for the others, is probably the only thing keeping him rational and - somewhat - stable. you can’t get shit done when you’re not stable
this man for real had some good therapy before the island bc with the amount of shit he’s dealt with, and he’s still being as strong as he can? incredible. but we all saw him start to breakdown yesterday, yelling at q!Forever i can’t lose you too. finally caving in and deciding to fuck up the island a bit for the Feds to see
bc we all have a breaking point. and what happens if, or even when, q!Cellbit hits his?

I posted a sketch of Abel being happy so now I guess the tax must be paid and he must have angst again
It didn't take long for the excitement to wear off.
The outburst started gently, at least. Link wandered anxiously, hands held out in front of him as if he were going to grab something or play with something, and then he wrung them nervously. He sniffled, eyes widening and watering.
"Link?" Abel prompted, putting the last of his armor on his bed.
And that was all it took. Abel stared in alarm as his little boy burst into tears, catching the attention of their roommate, Norri, who flinched.
“I want to go home,” Link cried.
Abel knelt down to be at eye level with the boy, trying to settle him quickly. “Link, we can’t go home.”
“But I want to go home!”
“I know,” Abel acknowledged, putting his hands on the little one’s shoulders. Link’s eyes were puffy now, his face red as he stood there and sobbed. “I know you do. But we can’t go home. We have to stay here.”
“I want Mama!”
Abel’s heart clenched. For a moment he couldn’t speak, emotions drowning his voice, but Link’s wails pierced through the fog, and he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up as Norri began to look agitated.
Quickly picking his boy up, he hastened outside, pressing Link’s face to his shoulder both to wipe his tears and try to muffle his cries as he whispered again, “Link, calm down. We can’t go home. I told you we would be here a while.”
It was ridiculous to assume a four-year-old would truly understand his words when he had explained the trip and he knew it. It was foolish to think this was going to be fine. But he had hoped… after running into the king himself had managed to not be disastrous, and after Link had spent two days wandering without incident, he’d hoped it would be all right.
Link cried louder, legs wiggling as he started to progress to a full-on meltdown. Abel held on to him helplessly. Tilieth always had more patience for these moments, always knew how to soothe their child when he himself didn’t know how to do so. Abel was of no use in this situation – he expressed his emotions so differently, so quietly in comparison to that of a child. He tried to remember what his sisters did, but Ama always focused outward on their younger sister, and he’d never really figured out how to calm Shola down so much as just argue with her. So he… had no experience in this.
“Link,” Abel said helplessly as he finally made it outside to avoid causing a ruckus in the palace. “Link, settle down. We can’t go home; you have to accept that.”
No matter what words Abel chose, Link wouldn’t accept that. He repeated his displeasure continuously, so much so that Abel was afraid he’d wake all of Zora’s Domain. He tried to hide in a corner somewhere, climbing one of the passageways that twirled around the Domain, ignoring the damp chill that began to settle through his light undertunic and trousers. Link didn’t seem to notice it, though he felt the little boy’s fingers steadily turn to icicles.
Frustration started to pull at him. He couldn’t calm his child, he couldn’t get him to be quiet, he was screaming in his ear—it wasn’t as if Abel himself didn’t want to see Tilieth, as if he weren’t worrying about his wife who was on death’s door with illness—
Abel, stop. He’s a child.
And? He’d stared at his dead father’s face, smelled the stench of rotting flesh despite the perfumes liberally poured around him, all when he was a child. He’d watched it kill his mother slowly for two years before she finally joined him.
You were eight at that point. He’s four. He doesn’t understand and you know that.
The frustration grew, though, despite his arguments, despite him knowing that his boy couldn’t help this. Perhaps it was just because he was angry at himself for even thinking about this, for ever suggesting and fighting for bringing a four-year-old child to a diplomatic mission, for having to shoulder the responsibility of the entire family while his wife was dying—
Abel bit his lip until it bled, trying to ignore the sobs coming from his son. Instead, he held him tightly, rocking back and forth, out of words, out of patience, out of emotions, out of everything. His repeated whispers devolved into hushes, offering what little comfort he could. It didn’t feel like nearly enough. It never felt like enough.
Link cried himself into exhaustion, his wailing finally settling into hiccups, and Abel released a full breath, having been rigid as a board for what felt like an hour. Slowly, hesitantly, he started making his way back to the central part of the Domain, thankful for the lack of people in the area, but hesitated before going to the palace. He himself was too full of emotions and energy now, and he knew he couldn’t sleep. Instead, he tucked Link more closely to the center of his chest, head right under his chin, and continued to sway back and forth with a light bounce to his knees. He wandered aimlessly, mind helplessly full of cotton and unable to process words anymore, before he found himself in front of the statue of Hylia.
It was a small statue, carved in the luminous stones of the area, giving it an ethereal glow. Some aquatic plant was adorning her head like a crown. It was lopsided, like a child had placed it there and wasn’t quite tall enough to get it right.
Abel slid to the ground, back against the railing behind him, Link held ever so closely. The boy was limp with exhaustion, asleep and warm in the embrace. Abel shivered.
He had no words to offer in a prayer. Instead, he just stared. Hylia smiled serenely back.
Abel stayed there, in a strange trance, overwhelmed and underwhelmed, energized and exhausted, until the sun started to reflect on the sparkling stones.

"A Warren. It's a family trait. So are the short tempers, the great cheekbones, the strong wills, and, of course, the powers. All blessings. All signs of where you came from."
Honestly, thinking thoughts about Warren witches and the short tempers. We see this one best through Piper obviously, but I was thinking about the way that this manifests in especially Wyatt out of all the next gen kids.
I feel like Wyatt really represses a lot of his negative emotions. Don't get me wrong, I do generally think that he's a pretty kind, optimistic person in general, but I also interpret him as someone who has this kind of fear at what he's capable of. I've mentioned this before, but the way I went about "depowering" Wyatt, for lack of a better word, to a manageable level is that he locks down most of his powers so that his control is somewhat resigned to not using them because while he's not necessarily afraid of his powers, he's afraid at their potential power. I mean, my Wyatt is currently hovering around 23ish in my next gen stuff, and that is an intense amount of power (and pressure) to put on someone who is still trying to figure out what the fuck they're trying to do right now. However, the issue is that a witch's powers are closely tied to their emotions, so with Wyatt basically locking down his powers, he basically locks down those emotions as well. The trigger for a lot of the particularly destructive powers, aka the ones Wyatt ruthlessly extinguishes in fear of unleashing tend to be rooted in stuff like anger or fear.
So when it comes to Wyatt's temper, I think it's really hard to actually unleash it. One, I think that he's just kind of hard to piss off in general. Chris and Mel have always been the two to start fighting, so he tends to take on a mediator role with them (especially bc the only other next gen kid to stand a chance is Peyton, Phoebe's eldest). So he's pretty good about letting shit roll off his back, because both of his siblings will turn their anger on him if his interference goes poorly. Two is that he's at least. kind of aware of other people's expectations of and for him, which don't really tend to be very human. He's pretty awkward with some of it, because so many people expect this saintlike, godlike figure of the Twice-Blessed and he's a 23 year old working as a library assistant at Magic School trying to figure shit out. (Especially when it comes to the magical politicking bullshit, Wyatt's so earnest and open that he struggles with it. It's an interesting time when the Marks family manages to drag any of the Halliwells to a witch event bc of the layering expectations and personalities for each Warren.) But he's pretty good at the compassion and gentleness that people expect, and he leans into that when he can sense those expectations. Thirdly, and I'll relink this post, Wyatt internalizes the fuck out of shit. He doesn't really blame someone else, even if they've wronged him. Instead, he fully takes on the blame and guilt himself and basically self-flagellates himself about it.
For the most part, he's very difficult to anger. However, when someone actually does manage to piss him off, there are two possibilities. Firstly, he basically unleashes it if he's able to, aka evil beings. Secondly, he hardcore represses it. Not even in a swallow the acid in your throat type of way, but like he ruthlessly shoves it so far down that he can't even taste the burn in his throat anymore type of way. In that case, he just blocks it out and pretends it doesn't exist until he basically believes it. The biggest thing is that when it comes to short tempers, no one really realizes that Wyatt even has one.
Needless to say, and actually the inspiration for this is that repression demons can wreak a whole lot of havoc through Wyatt if they can get to him. It'd be a source of pretty significant power to the demon and damage to those around Wyatt, and the guilt he'd have afterward? Could honestly power another repression demon. An important part of growing as a person and as a witch for him would need to be embracing and dealing with his emotions, all of his emotions, in a healthy manner instead of just repressing them entirely. I feel like that'd make some cool plotlines for growth, especially with the empaths in the family.

Guys I love Ashton so much and I have so many thoughts about them. He's easily my favorite character that Taliesin has played simply because he's a mess. They have no memory of their past or childhood, they only remember watching someone who felt like family be ripped apart. Then he was alone in the desert. Who knows how long he spent wandering before someone found him and brought them to an orphanage. At this point Ashton's just a kid who has literally no experiences other than loss and being alone.
Then they go to a shitty orphanage and meet a group of people who begin to feel like family. They grow up together and start a little adventuring crime party. He'll never admit it but Ashton loves this group and finally feels like they found where they belong. Then a job goes bad, the group's about to get caught and Ashton gets hurt. He falls off that balcony and the last thing they hear before waking up on Milo's table is someone yelling to leave him because he's dead. But they were still alive and conscious at that point. If the nobodies actually loved him then how could they leave him behind.
He wakes up on Milo's table, maybe alone maybe with Milo leaning over them. Either way, the nobodies, his family and the group he loved has left them behind. Ashton takes on their debt and agrees to work to Hexum so she doesn't hunt the rest of them down because you take care of family. They could have taken Milo with them and left town but instead he stayed behind to protect a group of people who left him behind. They insist that they don't blame the nobodies and that he would have done the same, but if he was really willing to completely cut ties then they wouldn't have taken on their debt. And the nobodies never come back. As far as we know they never make an attempt to contact Ashton or make sure he's okay. They just leave and move on with their lives. Family doesn't forget like that. Family fights for each other and makes sure nobody is left behind. So maybe the nobodies weren't family, or at least Ashton wasn't family.
Then they meet FCG. A little traumatized robot in the desert. Ashton could have so easily sold them or convinced them that their purpose was to serve him. Instead Ashton spends their time protecting letters and encouraging them to stand up for themself. Ashton tries to convince them that he can be his own person and that he does have a soul. They could have paid off their debt to Hexum by giving her Letters, but Ashton knows what it's like to be left by someone you care about, so he never mentions them to her.
Then he meets this ragtag group of people with just as much if not more damage than him. And he grows to care about them. They watch time and time again as the Bell's Hells refuse to leave each other behind and try to help each other get better. And the entire time Ashton reminds them that they don't leave people behind. He was abandoned and there's nothing he can do to change that, but they can make sure nobody else feels that way.
But then Otohan happens and shit hits the fan. The plan is to run and everyone scatters, but Ashton goes down in the opening round. And instead of leaving them behind bh gets him backs up and won't leave until he can get away too. Then everyone starts dropping but the group refuses to leave anyone behind. And all of a sudden Orym, Laudna, and Fearne are dead and they don't have the spells to save Laudna. But instead the group travels to a different continent and beg for help. They enter a dreamscape and fight Delilah Briarwood all for the chance to bring Laudna back. And the nobodies left them when they thought he might be dead.
But everything is moving too fast to fully process and talk about. Then he has some downtime on the airship before the solstice and they might die figuring out where they came from and finding out why the nobodies left him. And there has to be part of them that's wondering if bh would go to the same effort that they did for Laudna to bring him back if he died. His last family abandoned him how does he know this one won't too? And despite all of the trauma in this group none of them can really understand him. Sure Laudna knows what it's like to be lonely and to die, but she also knows how it feels to have your family around when you're brought back. Plus she knows where she came from. Because despite everything that's happened to them, Ashton still desperately wants to know where they came from. What if he had a family? What if that family left them behind too? What if Ashton's the problem? Would the nobodies have left anyone else in the group behind or was Ashton the only one they didn't care about?
