hi, first of all thank you so so much for dashboard unfucker, i'd be in hell without it. i was poking around trying to understand why tampermonkey doesn't update it automatically and it looks like the downloadURL and updateURL are pointing to the wrong, well, urls. changing them to https://github.com/enchanted-sword/dashboard-unfucker/raw/main/unfucker.user.js seems to have fixed that, though of course it'll get overwritten when updating if i only change it on my end. so i just figured i'd let you know + ask for that little change (idk how pull requests work) ^_^

That URL redirects to the same location as the URL used in the script (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/enchanted-sword/dashboard-unfucker/main/unfucker.user.js), so there shouldn't be any difference between one and the other.

Tampermonkey seems to be slightly worse at checking for updates than Violentmonkey, but as long as you can hit the "check for updates" button manually and have it update correctly, it will in theory update automatically, so the issue probably has to do with caching.

9. What are your file name conventions

DEPENDS... i used to do the classic keysmash file names but that got annoying so now i just do titles based on what's in the file and if it's a bunch of randm stuff (cause i tend to use .psds like sketchbooks and do a bunch of random shit on different layers) i just title it whatever word i feel like. note that some of the relevant titles i use like 'gus' or 'peebs' are readable to me and no one else

a uh. notable bad habit i have tho is not saving things at all (i mean i do save them, but like, not saving individual drawings as files, i just save the whole psd) and just taking screenshots. makes it a devil of a time to find anything

Houses without people, without human involvement whatsoever." is so spot-on — i spent all of last summer apartment hunting and overwhelmingly everything felt so soulless!!! 90% of nyc apartment listings now have the staged computer-generated furniture she talks about in that post and it makes everything look so uncanny. i use photoshop a lot and took a lot of classes in school about doing various photo manipulations so i always like to zoom way in on stuff like that and figure out which bits are fake and which are real, but everything in those photos ends up seeming fake, because that's how real estate photos are. they're fake! they're terrible!

the soulless archetypal mcmansion that post is about also reminds me a lot of malls, honestly? maybe just because i was talking with some friends a couple days ago about how uncannily haunted all american malls are, but it's that sort of bland nothing-space where time isn't meant to exist and everything feels too big and too empty. like, even if you find a mall that isn't dead or dying, it still feels empty, somehow? malls and mcmansions are just too vast to ever feel like there's enough life in them to fill them.

i just cannot understand having that much money and using it to make something empty and spotless and gray!!! if i were not confined by my apartment's lease my walls would already be bright pink and that's how a house/apartment/anywhere you live should be i think.

Well it’s less of a theory and more of a “I’m sure she is”

She’s a massive Genesis reference! She’s rude, has an inferiority complex, her hair and her colour palette, the fact that when she becomes disillusioned with the myth about Tifa she quits because she seems to think Tifa is being humble to rile her. and then there’s the fact that she changes her tune… I think Square literally just added Jenny to tease us!

The way I know EXACTLY who you're talking about 🤣 I saw her and immediately thought "Ok Genesis in disguise"

And then they revealed her name was Jenny and I started cackling. It honestly just looks like a really funny coincidence (IMO), but I wouldn't put it past the devs to add this in for shits and giggles.

However if you want something else that could be a Genesis easter egg (if you read too much into it), there's an NPC in the book store in Junon who says "I hear the owner is a former SOLDIER."

I laugh every time I think about it because imagine: deserting Shinra, committing several war crimes, somehow escaping captivity and opening a book store inside a Shinra base like nothing happened is the most Genesis thing ever.
