Prompt 138
Danny squints up at the blurry form cradling him, brain trying to catch up with his situation. He can feel the pulse of his siblings’ cores nearby, gently pulsing contentedly despite the chaos of his last memories. His limbs feel too small and pudgy, too-small fingers gripping onto something as his vision started to clear.
There was a man, holding him? Cradling his too-small form like he was an infant- was he an infant? He was pretty sure he wasn’t supposed to be, he had been older but now he wasn’t. He squinted up at the stranger, green eyes meeting green. Huh. They kind of looked like he could be their dad or something.

Love the fact that when George was incapacitated, the gang was just like well. We might as well commit several crimes now. We might as well go and punch some senior citizens in the face while we’re at it

the thing about post-rose ten is he IS casually cruel. he tells donna to her face that she's not clever, not special, not important - and gets slapped for it, which to my mind is kinda the reason the doctor-donna relationship works. he tells martha's coworker not to waste his time, to stay behind, she'll only hold them up. leaves her crying. and like, devoting his energy to the problem at hand (the hospital is on the moon, there's an alien situation going on, everyone here and possibly everyone on earth is at risk) is the practical move at the time. but there's an obvious casual cruelty to it that he wouldn't have stooped to before.
and I'm just reminded of the way donna forgot all her loudness and bluff and immediately snapped to empathy when there were people hurt. you're a doctor, you can help. I remember her watching in horror as the doctor presided over the execution of children and the destruction of a species - and telling him he can stop now. I remember her saying that yeah, her ex-fiance, the man who poisoned her and used her and secretly looked down on her all this time, he didn't deserve to die like he did, which is a pretty big admission given the freshness of that betrayal. she has a good heart. and I can see why she would be good for this new, cruel, forgotten-his-kindness-in-all-his-pain doctor.
and I'm just so, so sorry that martha had to know this version of him in the meantime.

I swear louis and harry’s teams live in an alternate reality because the way they try to sell these stunts is always so ridiculous and so fucking predictable.
oh, here’s an idea “what if we search for rockstar makeup girlfriend on her pinterest? and also let’s dress her like a pop punk queen (even though she never dressed like that before) because that would reaaaaaally appeal to your fan base?” or even “you know what would be a great idea? if you and the director of your upcoming movie show up (along with the paps *wink wink*) to your manager’s wedding and you guys hold hands while at it?? (nooo it’s not a problem that it’s in the middle of a pandemic)” or maybe “we know you haven’t really acted like a father in the last 6 years but what if we bring the kid to JUST ONE of your shows and for the rest of your interviews that’s ALL you talk about even though you have an album to promote?” oooooor “even though she is a boss woman who calls herself a feminist, what if she abandons her whole career (and also her kids) to keep following you and your world tour while you pretend she doesn’t exist and you never, ever, aknowledge her???”
do these people live under a ROCK? I SWEAR if they did the most basic research this shit would not be so laughable

I think Madoka Magica should've let us see more of the trauma that Homura experienced after watching the only person she cared about die over and over. I want to watch as Homura's memories of every timeline and every Madoka start to blend together. Which Madoka was the real one? The original? Was it the one that saved the cat from getting hit by car or the one who saved the cat from getting hit by a bike? I want to watch as Homura struggles to remember which Madoka was HER Madoka.
