• The Legend of Zelda quotes were painstakingly hand chosen with love! I had that and the Hercules script pinned in my tabs for 2 months lol and I had like 3 docs separate to keep everything in order! And fun fact: their mostly in order of how they appear in the game, meaning they follow the actual game chronologically! ^^

OF COURSE! @bunnwich was the one who motivated and inspired me to write this. I'd never written fanfic before this, just stuff for OCs. It was really something!

You can blame a certain Youtuber for the 'Pause" jokes. It's literally a part of my daily vocab and I woudln't be me if I didn't put my humor, memes, and inside jokes into the writing. (After all, I wrote it with the mindset that only Bun would read it ^^). I'm glad you share my silly humor!

The pairs for the PE part were actually chosen somewhat carefully by me! I tried to think based on character relationships, personal stories and clubs, which 1st years and second years would actually want to pair up with each other!

Yume's and Kalim's relationship is important to me. I'd love to explore it more because there are more layers to it!

The fact that he wasn't able to see through Jamil's lies isn't a fault on Kalim, Jamil is just that good of a liar/ that good at masking his true feelings. but I'm rambling.

Meme voice: I don't care for Azul. (Yet there are aspects of his character that foil Yume's so interestingly.)

Chat logs are the only way I have communicated with people close to me so I drew from my own chat experience, but still wanted them to be understandable.

Ahh yes the...climax of this part was something I had been waiting to get to and wanting to explore. I won't get to into it here.

Idia is notorious for saying shit bluntly and without thinking about it, I feel because he doesn't think about how someone could intemperate his words. He knows what he means so he thinks automatically that the other person should too. Bc its "logical" thinking. (lets just say he's not a reliable narrator)

I got to explore lots of interesting things with Yume here, and I'm glad it impacted you so much! Making people feel the intended emotions, or any really is high praise! It affected me as well when I wrote it because...well like you said it can hit close to home for some people.

Oh my gods ! This was my first read by this author and to say I’m hooked is a understatement! I loved this story so much it completely sucked me in the writing was just so darn good the world building the overall story the characters I loved Palmer and her guys even the side characters were so intriguing down to the ghost who’s following Palmer around to her little sidekick a squirrel that’s half dead and is named Snake I laughed so hard at all the banter especially between the guys and the steam the SMEXY TIMES!!!! OMG soooo freaking hot !!! This was a book I needed to read I forgot how much I love paranormal romances and everything about this story reminded me why ! There is so much going on and answers I need and a ending that left my jaw on the floor and cursing this author respectfully of course lol I will definitely be reading this authors back list to bide my time while I’m waiting for book 2 but I’m so excited and can’t wait!

No i completely agree with having some drama in the plot! I love the chaos,the hurt, and drama in general! It’s what makes everything in the end so satisfying to read bc who can see how the vision came together! And you absolutely aren’t being dramatic! It’s okay to feel some type of way when you have people voicing their opinions on your stories because you’ve said many times that the themes you wrote are deeply personal to you! So of course you’ll get some emotions going and that’s okay I mean it’s your blog so you’re allowed to express yourself freely ya know!

And bahah omg of course I’ll go to therapy for the both of us 🤪

There have been so many instances throughout your work where I have felt SEEN whether it be tiny quirks that you give your characters or there deepest struggles/desires so of course when topics like what the MC of Dolcezza struggles come up, I don’t “hate” it or find it “annoying” because it’s a genuine struggle that I personally deal with just like others! It’s a very raw thing to portray and it’s hard to understand from an outsiders perspective how it may look like an easy fix but unless you have/do struggle with it, it’s not that simple.

And you’re too sweet! I try my best not to have too much typos since I mainly answer on my phone and I just get too excited sometimes when responding lol

Angry/Violent

I like writing Race as the kind of person who was always the “optimist/jokester” growing up. The kind of person who always responded to bad situations with jokes and positivity because he didn’t know what else to do. Being “the happy one” was a huge part of his identity from a really young age and he never learned how to actually deal with negative emotions, since he thought people only liked him because he was so positive all the time. Like, when people described Race, they would say he’s “always smiling and joking” so he just internalized that way too much and didn’t let himself show negative emotions around people.

So when he's upset or angry or frustrated, he makes a joke to deflect it and just shoves those negative feelings deep down inside of him instead of dealing with it. And, of course, this doesn't work, so every couple of months he'll blow up about some minor inconvenience and just feel so incredibly guilty about it afterward. Whoever he got mad at is always concerned rather than hurt because yelling is just so unlike him and they (correctly) assume that there's something else going on. But Race just leaves and hides away for the rest of the day before carrying on like nothing happened.

It's a really bad thing for him to do and once his friends/family realize what's going on they try to help him work through all of that. It's like

"Buddy it's okay to be Not Happy sometimes, it's actually incredibly unhealthy to never feel upset are you okay?"

"And if someone unintentionally does something that makes us angry we..." "Say nothing and pretend everything is fine because otherwise, they might think we hate them" *spray bottle* "NO"

"Have you ever tried listening to Taylor Swift and crying for no reason? It's really therapeutic."

Quirks/Hobbies

Whenever someone asks him if he plays an instrument, he always jokingly says he plays the harmonica.

It is not a joke, he genuinely knows how to play the harmonica. Like, he learned the correct way to blow into it, he can pick out and play specific notes on the first try, and he can read harmonica sheet music and play it. He unironically practices a few times a week and can more or less figure out any song and learn to play a section within an hour, even faster if he can find sheet music for it.

Why can he do this? Because he wanted to play Never Gonna Give You Up on the harmonica for the school talent show. And he did. Six years in a row.

(I am just now realizing as I'm proofreading this that Race literally plays the harmonica in 92sies, I completely forgot about that. I just picked the most random instrument I could think of that he could feasibly get his hands on. Oh well, I guess this technically isn't a headcanon but we're just gonna go with it)

23. fics you wanted to write but didn’t

i actually wanted to finish lost & found last year (a taehyung resort bartender fic that is 1000% just me projecting ☠️☠️), but didn't get around to it. hopefully i can post it this year!

i also was in the middle of writing a jungkook best friends, never lovers oneshot that was pure angst when my computer crashed last year, and i lost it completely 😭😭 i had written about 4k and i was really invested in the idea, but was upset about losing it and couldn't bring myself to rewrite it. and then, of course, completely forgot most of my plot points as time went along, and now if i wrote it, it wouldn't be the same story i originally envisioned. maybe someday i'll pick it up and attempt to write something similar out of the concept!
