Not Special, Part Two
(Part One is here)
Oscar Tennyson grabbed his purchases and hurried after the rest of his crew. As usual, they were walking quickly on their longer legs and bellowing for him to keep up. The teeth-and-scales Mighty had no patience for human weaknesses. Of which there were many.
But, as Oscar had just learned, there were some strengths as well. And he couldn’t wait to show them.
He scampered onboard before the door shut, wondering if they would actually leave without him if he dawdled too long. Probably not — who would handle their finances and hunting permits? They’d have to hire someone else, because they certainly didn’t want to do it themselves. But he didn’t want to test that.
He had much better things to test. While the stark metal walls vibrated with the engine’s revs, Oscar wove between scaled biceps and tails to his own quarters. He pressed the panel by the door, which was oversized and cracked like all of them on this ship. The Mighty were not fans of fiddly little buttons or keys. Not when they could have panels big enough to punch, which only broke sometimes.
When Oscar stepped through and closed the door behind him, he felt immediately relieved. This was his private space to decorate as he chose, without worrying that someone would take things down or make fun of him. Ship rules were clear about personal quarters. Oscar’s fake orchids and real cactus made the room homey, along with more posters than the walls could hold. They spilled onto the ceiling, lining it with nature scenes from Earth, sports figures he admired, media announcements, and a good number of fluffy kittens. This was the one spot on the ship where he could feel comfortable, and he was making the most of it.
The bag of refueling station supplies crinkled as he set it on his small table to remove the contents. A high-end store might have had Waterwill bags that evaporated after a day, but this place used regular old plastic. Inside were food cubes, bottled water, and the purchase he was most excited about: six cans of very weak caffeine.
He scanned the label. It was just like the other human had said. Tall cans in dramatic colors, but not much of substance inside. At least, not as far as the average human was concerned.
Oscar couldn’t wait until dinner time.
Before then, he had a permit to submit and several other things to check. The ship should be on the way to Argosha, which was notorious for welcoming outsiders in to hunt the Dagger Birds that were giving everyone so much trouble, but he had better get their paperwork in order anyway.
He grabbed his tablet and left his safe haven, heading back into the public parts of the ship where he could face taunts from any direction. Really, these guys were just like his cousins. At least it was familiar.
Fending off tiresome conversation — “How’s the weather down there?” “Why don’t you ask your mother?” —he reached the bridge and found a corner to stand in. The captain and the pilot were arguing about where to land when they reached Argosha.
“The main site will have more people to admire our ship!”
“The new one is closer to the hunting grounds!”
“Dagger Birds are overrunning the place; everywhere is a hunting ground!”
“Do you want to pay the damages for shooting a building instead of a bird? We can take it all out of your pay, if you want!”
“Fine, but if we land on some overgrown hedge and the ship is scratched, you get to pay for that!”
“Fine!”
The pair of them stopped yelling and sat back in their seats as if nothing at all was the matter, because it wasn’t. Polite disagreements were always held at that volume.
In the brief lull while the pilot manipulated the controls with more force than a lesser console could withstand, Oscar spoke up. “I’d like to come too.”
Both dinosaurian heads turned to stare at him in surprise. “Why?” the captain demanded. “One kick from a bird, and you’re useless to us.”
“Thanks,” Oscar said flatly. “I’ll keep out of the way. I want to take photos of your fighting prowess; I should be able to sell them.”
Both of the Mighty preened at that, as he’d known they would. Ego was big here. The captain agreed, and Oscar didn’t let slip any hints of his secret plan. He just finished working on his tablet, then retreated to his quarters to practice Dagger Bird mating calls.
The air on Argosha was breathable but hot, at least this part of it. Oscar was ready with his Tool in his pocket. (He’d gotten out of the habit of calling it a phone, since the Mighty were right in that it did a near-infinite number of things.) (He still smirked quietly at the potential innuendo, but it was a conversation he didn’t really want to have with giant dinosaur aliens, so he kept that to himself.)
“This way,” announced the captain, pointing in what looked like an arbitrary direction into the wilderness. Whooping with the alien equivalent of testosterone, the crew raised their blasters and tromped off the landing pad with Oscar following close behind.
True to his word, he did take some pictures as he went. But he was waiting for his moment.
It didn’t take long to come. The shouting scared off all the wildlife, then the Mighty found a boulder to crouch behind and wait for the creatures to come back. They played a silent counting game to see who was best at guessing when they’d spot something worth killing.
Distant footsteps on leaves made them smack each other in excitement, but nothing appeared between the trees.
Now or never, Oscar thought. Knowing better than to startled his crewmates, he whispered, “Here, let me.” Then he took a deep breath and let loose with his best imitation of a Dagger Bird seeking a mate. “Woarrrrrrk!”
While the Mighty shushed him and wondered what he was doing and started to figure it out, an answering woarrk sounded from nearby.
Then another, then, three.
Oscar wondered if he’d overplayed his hand.
No less than five large and eager Dagger Birds crashed through the undergrowth at once, croaking and flapping, taking offense at each other’s presence. The Mighty all roared and leapt out, firing in every direction.
Oscar dashed for a tree he’d been eyeing, the one with lots of branches, and didn’t stop climbing until he was out of beak-stabbing range. He held tight to the trunk, catching his breath and watching the chaos. Belatedly, he remembered to take out his Tool and snap some photos.
This was actually a good angle. He got a great shot of the captain aiming down the throat of a wide-open beak, then another a split second later when the beak snapped shut inches from his head. Another of the engineer shooting one from beneath. Two of the pilot tackling the largest bird and sinking teeth into the back of its neck where it couldn’t reach to stab.
Other species did their trophy hunting from a distance. The Mighty liked the fight as much as the kill. Their blasters were set on a deliberately low setting, and their teeth were sharp.
Safe up in his tree, Oscar grimaced at how bloody things were getting down below. He yelled another bird call to distract the one about to spear the crewmate who’d been knocked to the ground, and he got a cheerful “Nice save by the little guy!” which was as close to a thank you as he was going to get. The crewmate scrambled up and bit off a chunk while the bird was distracted. A couple of the crew looked like they were bleeding their own blood, but most of it was coming from the Dagger Birds, which were just as stubborn as the stories had said. Not one of them ran off. The last to die fell on top of somebody, which just added laughter from the rest of the crew to the triumphant cheers.
Oscar took a picture of the bird being dragged off his disgraced crewmate. That photo he wouldn’t sell, but would keep as minor blackmail if he ever needed it. Sticking it up on the wall to remind everyone of this moment could be a valuable strategic move.
“We are the MIGHTY!” bellowed the captain, and the whole crew joined in with a deep-voiced cheer. Oscar climbed down to more approval than he’d gotten in the last month.
“Good work by our human here! Who knew you could do that?”
“That’s sure an efficient way to hunt!”
“We should bring you out every time. That was great.”
Oscar took the praise with pride, not bothering with modesty. That was just another word for weakness as far as these guys were concerned.
He managed to dodge when one of them made to slap him on the back with a large bloodstained hand, which just made them laugh more. Luckily the captain directed everybody to gather their kills for dragging back to the ship, rather than chasing the human and messing up his clothes.
Oscar took a position on the lowest branch of his tree, taking a couple more photos as the victorious hunters figured out how to get it all home. If anyone had asked Oscar, which they never would, he’d have suggested going back for a hovercart, or taking them one at a time. But of course they did neither.
Definitely the type to insist on carrying all the groceries in at once, Oscar thought as his crewmates strained to drag the giant carcasses through the undergrowth. He hopped down and kept pace out to the side where there was no blood on the leaves.
They finally made it back to the ship, doing nothing to clean up the smears of blood they left on the landing pad. Oscar darted off to his quarters as soon as the door opened. The rest of them could handle getting the birds into cryo storage, or chopped up right away, whichever they saw fit to do. The lowest-ranking one without significant injuries would be in charge of clearing the blood from the hallways, but only after they’d all taken a walk through the water-and-air blast chamber that passed for a shower here. It had always reminded Oscar of a car wash.
He kept to himself until dinner, sorting his photos while everyone else dealt with the catch and the mess and the injuries. The mechanical medsystem on this ship was just as efficient as the shower. They’d all be in decent shape by mealtime.
And mealtime after a successful hunt was also drinking time.
Oscar usually ate in his room, wanting nothing to do with the raucous meat-tearing and drunkenness. But today was different, because he’d learned something valuable about the liquid they were getting drunk off.
Oscar considered the cans he’d bought, then decided it would have more of an impact if he just took one of the communal supply. So instead he grabbed his new food cubes and a premade tin of spaghetti from his mini-cryo, and followed the sound of laughter.
They were already a little drunk when he got there. Sprawled across chairs with a table full of meat slabs spilling over the edges of the plates. And as expected, there were tall purple cans everywhere.
“Heyyyy, it’s the little guy! Let’s hear it for the human with the surprise talent! Maybe you’re not useless after all!”
“Thanks,” Oscar said as they pounded fists against anything in reach as a form of applause. He leaned against the open doorway and shuffled his belongings so he could get a fork in a meatball without setting down the food cubes. “That was pretty easy where I’m from. You guys really can’t do that?” He popped the meatball into his mouth, casual as you please.
The Mighty of course, thought this was funny, and took it in stride. More gulps from their drinks, more savage mouthfuls of food, and a few questions about the surely-excellent photos he’d gotten, which would make them all look amazing.
Oscar said he’d share the best ones. These would make fine decorations in their own quarters, and would probably be appreciated by the right paying audience.
Then came the moment he’d been waiting for. The captain raised his drink in another cheer, and somebody noticed that the human was the only one without a can in his hand.
“Get the human a warrior’s drink!”
“Bet you he passes out after one sip.”
“Nah, he can take at least two.”
Oscar smiled quietly. If they’d been paying attention, they might have changed their bets at that smile. He set his food down in the hallway to free his hands. When one muscular, taloned arm offered him a can of their most potent intoxicant, he took it. Oh so casually.
Then he whipped his head back and chugged the whole thing.
“Oh! Human’s gonna die!”
“I’m not cleaning up the puke!”
“What the supernova! There are better ways to go than that!”
“Somebody drag him to medical so we don’t have to find somebody else to do the boring stuff.”
“Yeah, he was just getting interesting.”
Oscar ignored all of them, giving the empty can a thoughtful look. It felt like the same thin aluminum he remembered from Earth. And if there was anything his cousins had taught him, it was the proper way to dispose of a beer can.
He dug his fingertips in and crushed it against his forehead. Then while the room reacted to that, he wiped off the drips and threw the can across the room. When it went into the trash on the first try, he was internally very glad, but he didn’t let it show. Instead he picked up his food and resumed eating. “What’s the big deal?” he said. “Is that what you guys have been getting drunk off? How quaint.”
“How in all the black holes—”
“No, he’s gonna fall over any second; just watch.”
“Quaint, that’s hilarious.”
“He’s totally bluffing. Just wait and see.”
Oscar was enjoying being the center of the crew’s attention today. He made a show of sweeping his eyes across the various cans in the room. “None of you has finished a can yet, I see. Was that supposed to be strong?”
There was widespread laughing and elbowing of each other, most of them still clearly convinced that the silly little human was going to throw up and die any second now.
So Oscar set down his food, walked over to the table, and chugged a second one. It was a bit more liquid than his stomach was really happy with, but that was a small price to pay for the uproar that followed.
They exclaimed; they renewed their bets; they drank from their own cans; they got visibly drunker and abandoned their bets.
Oscar leaned against the doorframe, eating spaghetti and food cubes.
After one particularly unsteady crewmate tripped onto the table full of meat, and someone pointed out that the human wasn’t wobbling at all, Oscar said, “You guys don’t know much about my species, do you? Half of what I eat would liquify your insides.” He held up a food cube, eyeing the different colored specks of all the ingredients that made it balanced for an omnivorous digestive system. He laughed. “You guys just eat meat. How boring!”
They only got drunker after that. Oscar was pretty sure that the nearest two wanted to pat him on the back, but the floor was moving too much for them to make it all the way to the doorway. Somebody offered him a raw slab of Dagger Bird. He turned it down with casual scorn.
“Nah, meat isn’t worth eating unless it’s passed through fire. That’s weakling meat you’ve got there. Get back to me when it’s cooked brown.”
They loved that. The party was an epic one, only winding down when most of the crew was too drunk to reach more drinks. Oscar demonstrated his steadiness by picking through the mess to drop his food containers in the trash, then move back to the door.
“Well, it’s been fun,” he said. “I’ll send in the med-drone to make sure nobody’s going to wake up dead. Let me know if you want to get your tails handed to you by any more Dagger Birds. I’ll call ‘em in close for you again.”
He got groggy approval to that.
Oscar left with a smile on his face, and a mild amount of caffeine in his blood. Maybe after stopping by the medcenter, he’d use that energy on some exercise. Thoughts of the run to the hunting grounds, and the way his crewmates had paced themselves, suggested that it wouldn’t take much practice for him to out-endurance the Mighty on the VR treadmill.
I wonder what else I can do?

the way the most recent pokemon games don't let you turn off the exp share or the affection mechanic bonuses is nothing short of maddening. i think they make great accessibility features If Only They Were Optional and the flavour text is cute, but i want to have a fun casual playthrough that's at least mildly challenging without having to make it a nuzlocke or something. i don't want to feed my starter bitter medicines to make her hate me :(
#JUST LET ME TURN IT OFF... PLEASE....#i can't do nuzlockes i do Not have the willpower to stick to the rules and they stress me out haha#anyway i am a fool who's left all of my DS games in norway and i got a hankering for replaying sinnoh games#so i decided to get shining pearl right. figured it might be fun even if ill miss the 4th gren spritework something fierce#what ensued was a needlessly complicated process just to get a copy that was slightly cheaper than full price nintendo blood money#there's a store that listed shining pearl at a lower price. not brilliant diamond - just pearl#i feel like maybe it's by mistake since that's the price of a nintendo DS cartridge. so maybe wires got crossed#the norwegian version of the store does NOT have the price disparity.#anyway i can't order online without a swedish phone number. and the local store is out of stock#so i have several long walks to the store to get them to order it in for me and then to order it delivered to me etc#and then of course another long walk to pick up the mail BUT I HAVE IT NOW. I HAVE VIDEO GAME#and it's very nice and nostalgic with a couple quality of life upgrades#my first pokemon game was pokemon diamond. when i got it i was still learning english and had no idea what was happening at any time#good times good times#obviously no pokemon run is ever gonna be as challenging as my first ever run#it does not need to be! u can immediately tell that a lot of difficulty in earlier games is that leveling up your team was a hassle#and almost always required grinding. i do not miss that at all ! but the remakes seem to be Extremely Faithful#so they're not rly structured around how fast you can level your whole team#or that your pokemon are gonna start doing extra crits or hold on to last HP before u even get to the third gym#OH WELL#you know what's very exciting for me though. i have a misdreavous!!! they're pearl exclusive and not in platinum#ive always wanted to do a sinnoh run with a misdreavous on my team for some reason

How to Use Your Meat Suit
Tumblr media
I can't believe how awesome this weekend was! Let's just say that the perfect way to avoid a hangover is to just possess randos to take the hit for you!
It all started on Friday, when I took Tyler just as he got out of practice. He never saw it coming, and once his body was an empty suit for me to wear, I was ready to hop in and have the best night of my life!
I could actually feel the lingering adrenaline from his workout, and it was exhilarating! I tossed his bags aside and ran to my house party down the street, which was easy with his limber legs. Everyone went wild when I showed up as the star basketball player. They didn't care about his BO; they were just happy to watch me flex those freshly pumped arms.
Friday night went by in a flash of loud music and crowded dancing, but a lot of people started wondering why Tyler got piss drunk and began grinding against all the guys.
I don't have much to say for myself other than I may have put a little too much alcohol in his body and lost control. Drinking makes me horny, and I sure did not care about Tyler's former reputation. People might not think of him as the cool lady-killer he used to be, but that's not my problem.
Anyways, I dropped his body when a cop busted us around 4 am. I could barely stand, I was so drunk, so I'm not surprised Tyler collapsed to the floor the second I stopped puppeteering him.
I jumped into the policeman who'd shown up.
Tumblr media
It was weird to go from blackout drunk to stone-cold sober, but I quickly gathered my bearings. Now in control of the cop, I pried the drink from Tyler's sweaty limp fingers and sloppily swallowed it all! The crowd went wild, and the party raged on.
And just like that I went back to dancing and drinking, only I was now wearing the body of an on-duty police officer.
Being a little more sober, I spent the early hours of Saturday morning trying to hook up with someone. I think most of the guys there were a little too intimidated to be talking to a cop, but I eventually found someone.
This guy walked up to me and called me a pig. I think he was trying to offend me, but he only succeeded in turning me on. I pulled him close and oinked in his ear playfully. He got the message and dragged me to an upstairs bedroom. The rest of the night was a blur as I continued to down drinks, but I could definitely tell that my date was getting off on degrading the officer I had on.
The officer's body eventually collapsed to the floor in a drunken exhaustion, so I jumped out. It was almost midday by then, so I ventured outside and found someone else to possess.
Tumblr media
There was this construction site across the street. Several of the workers were idly chatting about the nearby house party that was still going strong.
Without warning, I hopped into the contractor; he was the only man there that wasn't fat, old, or ugly. He certainly smelled ripe, but I rather enjoyed how filthy he was. Wearing his masculine body instantly tented the pole in his jeans, but I didn't bother trying to hide it from his coworkers.
I quickly ordered them to take the day off, which left them mostly confused. I'm sure I was acting out of character, but I didn't care. I just waved the team away, and marched down the street to a bearby liquor store.
There, I fished out all the cash in the guys wallet to use on booze. It was a good thing his body was strong enough to haul it all back on his shoulders. Though the party was starting to wind down, it quickly revamped when I restocked the drinks. Before long, I was back to drinking and dancing on any guy who'd let me, only this time I was wearing the construction worker's body.
That party lasted all weekend. It quickly became a legend on campus for its good luck and neverending supply of liquor. No one knew that it was all the work of some friendly ghost. I just wanted everyone to have a good time!
The three guys I possessed didn't have the best time though.
Tyler woke up at some point with a splitting headache and no memory of all the twerking and flirting he'd done the night before. He did eventually hear stories, which left him feeling utterly humiliated. His teammates never let him live that one down.
I don't think the cop lost his job, but he was reprimanded for not reporting in after his shift. I think the officer was just glad none of his colleagues knew he'd woken up in the middle of a college party, his uniform soaked in alcohol and who knows what else!
That construction worker woke up just before his next shift. He was completely confused and hungover, but he stifled his worries and shuffled across the street. He was more than happy to just show up at work like nothing had happened.
I'm thinking about throwing another party next week. The Dean of the college has a pretty large house, and I'm sure his students would love to see me letting loose in his body...

You Bled For Them, You Decide Pt.2 (Daemon x Reader)
Tumblr media
So a lot of people requested a part two of this and had some requests on what should it be about, the stakes were high so I hope I did not disappoint you. Enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part one
(Y/n) was not a fool, she was sure that the second she steps foot in Targaryen ground all eyes would be on her, the mystery woman that managed to tame the rogue prince. She despised that nickname, (y/n)s opinion was that her dear husband had simply leaned towards violence to make up for the pain he had felt, Daemon was a passionate man which meant he loved as deeply as he hated, she knew Daemon would burn the seven kingdoms to ensure that their family is safe, he was a man of honour.
“Do you truly believe a character like prince Daemon has settled?”
“It certainly looks like it, he hasn’t stepped away from her and the children for longer than a minute”
“The children… well at least with this union no one can question their true parentage”
Otto whispered the last part only for his daughter queen Alicent to hear. Everyone was at awe how none of the kids had inherited their mothers features except small details,(y/n) adored the fact that they looked like the father, she was unaware what a big role on their safety that played.
“I believe we must introduce ourselves, would be interesting”
Alicent suggested while her father hummed in agreement, in almost complete unison they began to walk towards the couple that was pre occupied with the king.
“Alicent and Otto, to what do we owe the pleasure?”
Daemon questioned ironically, (y/n)s eyebrow was raised in confusion as she looked up at him for clues about the sudden change on his demeanour.
“Prince Daemon, it’s been so long since we last saw you, you were newly widowed at the time”
“Widowed?”
(Y/n) never pressured Daemon to speak of his past, he revealed what he wished while he laid on her chest and let her to brush his silver hair with her fingers. Daemons eyes squinted at the smart remark Lord Otto had thrown at him, he was looking for a way to cause a problems in his marriage.
“Your lady wife seems oblivious to the fact that you were wed prior”
Alicent noticed, (y/n) tried to keep her composure and patiently wait until they are alone to question her husband. Daemon was ready for war, they were pushing the boundaries in order to get what they want, to destroy what he worked so hard for and he wasn’t going to stand for it.
“I was forced into a marriage for alliance that is correct, (y/n) is my first true match, I thank the Gods for sending her to me every morrow”
Daemon was being genuine, his lady wife had been a miracle, the Gods took pity on him and showed him what it is like to have a reason to come back from battle alive. Daemon took his (y/n)s hand in his to place a kiss on her knuckles, (y/n) smiled even though her mind had stored the new information for another time, it wouldn’t be wise to pick a fight while attending a funeral.
“Such tender words, I am glad you have left your infatuation with princess Rhaenyra behind you”
The sentence that was spoken from the Queens lips made (y/n)s blood ran cold, the woman that she had just been introduced to had an affair with Daemon? It could not be, she was a married woman, the daughter of his own brother, “no that wouldn’t stop him, he is a Targaryen” she thought as her hands started to shake from anger. Thankfully her eldest daughter cut the conversation short before push came to shove and (y/n) showed her temper, the girl was panting while her cheeks were severely blushed from running around, she hadn’t been this blissful in weeks.
“Mother, can me and Aemond go play in the shore?”
“Aemond?!”
Daemon exclaimed, earning a side eye from everyone, if he had it his way his children would never play along side Alicents children, maybe little Heleana would be an exception but that would be it, especially when it came to his precious daughters he hated when they would be boys around them, even worst if they were hightowers.
(Y/n) did not spare a look at her lord husband, she simply tucked away a few strands of hair that seemed to stick on the young girls sweaty forehead and smiled lovingly, Alyssa was in much need of a companion, she loved her siblings but she would always have to take care of them.
“Of course my little deer, better yet I’ll come with you. I would love to meet your new friend Aemond”
-
(Y/n) had managed to discreetly slip away from everyone, she found joy at watching her daughter play carelessly with her new friend, the timid Aemond that barely raised his gaze to (y/n) when introduced, still he ran with Alyssa around the shore as they had both taken their shoes off and splashed in the water.
(y/n) could stay like this together, away from everyone with her family while they enjoyed the simple things life had to offer, it’s what her and Daemon had in common, although she could identify that Daemon had missed his brother, perhaps he missed princess Rhaenyra as well.
“Come along sweetlings, it’s getting dark”
“Mother please just a few more minutes”
“Fine, I will make sure your siblings are sleeping and then I will come back to escort you”
“Thank you lady (y/n)”
Aemond replied with the utmost respect. (Y/n) simply smiled as she turned her back on the children, with the assistance of a kind knight she was guided to the room (y/n), Daemon and little Johanna would occupy for the night, she had already peeked inside the other rooms for her children to find the sleeping peacefully.
To her misfortune she never had great memory when it came to directions, getting lost by turning left instead of right or was it right instead of left? She cursed under her breath for not looking around for clues when she had the chance.
“I need you uncle, I cannot fight them alone”
“You know I would support you if war occurred Rhaenyra”
The voices that reached her ears made her come to a halt, her back found the cold wall to rest so she can listen to her husbands conversation with the princess, she had put on such a brave fight to forget what was said about their affair before (y/n) came to his life, excusing it as a spur of a moment and feelings long forgotten, now there she was hiding in the dark to catch them whispering.
“I do not need you as a soldier Daemon, i want us to bind our blood”
“Rhaenyra”
“Do you love her?”
Tears welled up in (y/n)s eyes, this could not be. He brought to his homeland just to embarrass her? To parade his children and leave (y/n) in the dust? Did she marry such a cruel man? She felt like her heart was going to come out her throat at the sound of those words.
“More than life itself”
“So my love for you meant nothing?”
“You were a child Rhaenyra, we both made mistakes”
“You did not love me?”
“Of course I did”
“My love?”
(Y/n) came out of her hiding spot, she wasn’t going to let the princess sway her husbands words, Daemon had declared his love and the princess did not want to give up, she was toying with (y/n)s wedlock like the life of her and her children including the pain this will cause meant nothing.
Daemon focused on his wife, smiling at the sight of her, Rhaenyra turned to face her as well, Daemon could see that (y/n) heard everything, he identified the fire of fury in her eyes, she appeared with reason.
“Where are the children my dear?”
“Alyssa is playing with Aemond, I will go to collect them now but I have seem to get lost within the castle”
“I shall escort you then, excuse me princess Rhaenyra”
Daemon took (y/n)s hand in his as they left Rhaenyra in shambles, he left her for (y/n), his morals did not buckle at the slightest, not even for Rhaenyra.
As they turned the corner (y/n) took off her polite mask, her hand gripped on to his as she held him back from walking even further, Daemon felt his heart skip a beat at the fact that (y/n) was clearly upset. He did not prepare her correctly for this visit, he should have known that the greens would try to tear them apart.
“A wife? An affair? With your own niece at that”
“All before I met you my love”
“That’s not my point, I looked like a fool in front of everyone. Here I am, your wife that did knew nothing of these acts of yours, we are a union and we appeared weak against the hawks eye”
Daemon had guessed she would be frustrated about the acts, he couldn’t be more wrong. (Y/n) had heard of tales about her husband, his thirst over women, she only cared about how she appeared like their union was fickle, that they were secrets between them.
Daemon let out a breath before he took (y/n) for a hug, she did not respond immediately but gave in to wrapping her arms around him after a moment.
“I apologise my love, I will fix it”
“You better or you will have to start looking for a third wife”
Haste heavy steps pulled them apart from one another, curiosity taking over them as they waited for the person to appear. A knight stood before them, clearly stressed, (y/n)s heart clenched tight.
“The kids”
“Your children are alright however you must follow me”
The couple ran to wherever the knight guided them, (y/n) was the first to burst in the room, Alyssa stood next to her friend Aemond who was getting stitched up in the eye. (Y/n) skipped over to her and instantly started looking for wounds, Daemon took in the room as everyone gathered, Baela and Rhaena crying in their grandmothers arms and Lucerys had a nose bleed as he was also crying.
“I am unharmed mother”
“What happened? I told you to be careful with Aemond”
“It wasn’t my fault, Aemond claimed a dragon so we went for a flight when we got ambushed by the others that claimed Vhagar was meant for Rhaena and I… mother I swear I tried to defend Aemond, it was four against two”
“It’s alright my dear, you did your best”
Alyssa spoke honestly, Jacaerys had restrained her when the others attacked Aemond, everything happened so fast she did not have time to process what to do, she did everything she could to defend Aemond, now he had lost his eye.
(Y/n) hugged her daughter tightly, thanking the Gods for sparing her daughter from harm. Everyone was occupied with blaming one another to notice (y/n) wince from pain, her labour had started, she had been through this multiple times she had knowledge of the pains starting early, it was not the time to focus on that as of yet.
“It was my sons that were attacked and forced to defend themselves, vile accusations were spoke from prince Aemond”
“No he did not”
“Alyssa”
“No mother they attacked him”
“He held a rock”
“After you started beating him and then you took a knife out you meant to kill him”
Alyssa was furious, she had seen everything and was appalled by such hostile behaviour especially within family members. Alyssa had grown into an environment that love and respect was shown to everyone, to be met with such hatred was a new found grown for the young girl, Daemon smirked at her daughter fighting against princess Rhaenyra and cutting her off before she could finish, Alyssa had a backbone stronger than any child her age.
“My king this is the highest of treachery and since the girl wants to take prince Aemonds side I ask both of them to be questioned for their treason”
“my child nor any will be questioned like they are criminals, I would have hoped for a woman of such high rank to have some respect for a child that has been permanently scarred from your own kin”
“Are you accusing me of something lady (y/n)?”
“I am defending what’s right which is what my daughter did as well, you are protecting your own and so will I”
“Enough!”
The king intervened. Daemon tried to bring (y/n) back from her anger by placing a hand on her shoulder, truly he did not want to do it still he worried over how heavily pregnant wife, she should not feel any type of uneasiness at such delicate state.
He was certain (y/n) could stand her ground and defend their family better than anyone, a side of him relished it when (y/n) pushed back at others and protected their children, her fire and quick tongue was his favourite things about her.
“Lady (y/n) is right, princess Alyssa has done nothing wrong”
“She stood against the heir”
“She defended her friend, titles don’t mean shit to our family pri- ow”
She could not hold back any longer, she felt liquid ran against her leg as the pain similar to knife cutting her belly made her lose her cool. Daemon was quick on his feet as (y/n) put her hands on her knees to hold herself up against the pain, daemon wrapped his hands around his wife to help her up, worry written all over his face.
“What is it my love?”
“My labours started”
“Maester-“
“No maesters, take me to my room now”
She interrupted the queen, everyone stood still not knowing what to do next. Alyssa stood next to her mother so she can rub her belly to soothe the pain, she had been present at the birth of her siblings for as long as she remembered, it was almost muscle memory now.
“Lady (y/n) I promise you i am very experienced with delivering babes for the royal-”
“Oh Fuck off will you? I said no fucking maesters, Daemon please hurry or I will push this babe out for your entire family to see”
“As you wish my love”
In one swift motion Daemon swooped (y/n) from her feet to rush her to the privacy of their own room, Alyssa followed quickly with queen Alicent, the Maester and princess Rhaenyra hot on their trail, as they were all amazed by (y/n)s resilience they wanted to witness the woman giving birth on her own, as (y/n) breathed heavy she leaned her head on her husbands shoulder.
“This is going to be a quick one”
(Y/n) could time her pains growing stronger at such short period of time, her babe was rushing to come out to the point (y/n) did not think she would make it to her room.
Fortunately she was wrong, as Daemon kicked the door open to quickly lay (y/n) in the bed Alyssa sat behind her mother to help her sit up while the mothers back laid against her daughters chest. Alyssa admired her mothers strength more than anything, she viewed (y/n) as the strongest person alive and loved that she was allowed to be included to the birth of her siblings, secretly scheming to follow the tradition of a private birth.
“Everyone out”
“The maester should stay in case of any assistance-“
“Daemon I can feel the head”
(Y/n) screamed from the pain, roaring her babe out that did not wait for anyone or anything. The family quickly forgot the presence of outsiders as they supported (y/n) for her birth, (y/n) held her daughter with one hand as Daemon lifted his wives dress to help her with any way he can.
“Almost there (y/n), give it one strong push and you will hold our babe in your arms”
He encouraged her while Alyssa stroked her mothers hair with her free hand. The trio that stood a few meters away were like statues, the queen was deeply moved by the love that lingered in the room and Alicent clenched the charm of the seven that hang from her neck, her children’s birth so strongly connected with the people in the room, the family had a bond that was rare in this world.
Soon enough cries of the babe echoed in the room as everyone in unison let out a breath of relief, (y/n)s lips curved to a triumph smiled as she saw her babe for the first time, Alyssa kissed her mothers forehead as encouragement for a job well done, amazed at the view of another sibling brought to life.
“Praise the mother”
Alicent spoke as she was the first to approach (y/n) who stretched her arms to hold the baby, tears appeared on everyone’s cheeks except the maesters and the only thing you could hear was the cries of a newborn babe, what a magical sound that was to a mothers ears.
“A princess is born to driftmark, Maester let everyone know (y/n) delivered her babe”
Rhaenyra instructed, she internally admitted defeat since there was nothing she could do anymore, watching Daemon so involved in the birth and cry tears of joy as he held the bloody babe in his arms was enough proof of there romance having no chance of reconciliation. Daemon sat next to (y/n)s bed as he observed his wife holding their babe in her arms and their eldest holding her mother in her arms with her eyes full of love.
“Well done my moon, what a gift you blessed me with, another beautiful and heathy daughter”
“Welcome to our family Maegora”
(Y/n) whispered as she held her baby, Alyssa gasped at the choice of the name, Alyssa had suggested it a while back and her father had laughed at the choice and the fear it would install to everyone’s hearts.
Daemon was actually fond of the name, still he had a habit of teasing his children so he just leaned to kiss (y/n)s lips, she was so beautiful after she delivered their children, a glow unlike any other as the light of candles was the only source of light, his devotion to her was as deep as any religious person, his heart only beat because hers did.
“You are radiating my love”

Orchids and spontaneity:
Requested by @vanwritesfan-fiction
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Mmm, boring” Jack whispered to himself as he looked at the wide array of flowers in front of him. He wanted to get you something unique and different from your usual bouquet but he wasn’t having any luck.
A tall, blonde woman came from the back of the store eager to help Jack from the moment he walked in but wanted to give him his space for a few moments. She quickly walked up to him, her pony tail swaying back and forth.
Jack saw her coming even without fully looking up at her, he could always tell when he had been spotted.
“Hi! I am so sorry, are you, Jack Harlow?” She was nervous and couldn’t think of another way to engage with him.
“I am” he softly laughed, rarely knowing how to continue the conversation after that.
“Do you need some help finding something?” She was hoping he would say yes, more than anything.
“I’m just waiting for someone, thank you though” Jack smiled, noticing their conversation brought attention to him as the other employees were now gawking from afar.
The employee smiled, before making her way back to the group of girls at the counter.
The front door chimed as Brian, Jack's dad walked inside, the two of them had agreed to go Valentine’s Day shopping together.
“About time you get here” Jack joked as the two of them started looking at flowers.
“Were you waiting long?” Brian noticed the group of girls at the counter giggling as they walked around the shop, flashing them a smile.
“No, not at all. I need your help though, I want to get her something different this year” Jack sighed, knowing that he usually got you the same floral arrangement year after year for several holidays.
“How about I get your mom what you usually get y/n and you get her what I usually get your mom?” Brian knew that would cut flower shopping short and leave more time for whatever else they needed to get done today.
“Orchids aren’t kind of…” he paused “old lady?” Jack questioned, wondering if you’d think so.
“I won’t tell your mom that you said that” Brian chuckled as they both placed their bouquet order at the front desk. All of the workers nervously giggled and helped out as they wanted just a brief interaction with Jack.
••••
When Valentine’s Day came around Jack picked up both bouquets from the flower shop. He was paranoid about his address leaking, rarely having anything delivered to his place.
When he arrived home, he struggled to get inside the door, the bouquet was bigger than usual and took up a lot of room. He let his dad know to come get the bouquet when he was ready, leaving his mothers flowers in his car.
“You weren’t supposed to be home yet!” You giggled from the kitchen as he loudly made an entrance anf placed the bouquet on the coffee table out of your view.
Jack jogged over to the kitchen, wrapping his arms around your waist as he went in for a sloppy passionate kiss.
“Are you making strawberry cupcakes? For little ol’ me?” He joked, making his voice as high-pitched as possible.
“Nothing about you is little” you winked, as you started the electronic mixer to whip the frosting.
“Damn right” he smirked, grabbing a handful of your ass before leaving the room to get your gift.
You finished frosting the cupcakes, placing them on a two-tier display, when Jack ran back into the kitchen.
“Do you trust me?” He had a sinister smile on his face that made you want to say no but you obliged anyway as he covered your eyes and led you to the living room.
There were a few gifts displayed on the couch, but the giant bouquet is what caught your attention first, always loving the flowers he got you.
“Baby! These are gorgeous!” You bent down to smell them, smiling as you looked over at him. You immediately noticed something was off as your eyes began to water, and your chest tightened.
“I wanted to do something different this year” he made room for you to sit beside him on the couch. “Wait, are you crying?” He was concerned that he did something to upset you.
“I think I have an eyelash in my eye” You rubbed the lower lash line with your finger getting mascara on your face. You excused yourself to the bathroom shutting the door quickly, worried he’d realize what you had immediately figured out.
You wheezed as you frantically searched the medicine cabinet for allergy medication, remembering you had left what was left of the allergy tablets in your purse.
Jack knocked on the door, questioning your rash departure. “Is something wrong? Do you hate them? Are they too old lady?” His voice was low and calm, but his tone was failing at masking the sadness he felt.
You slowly opened the door, revealing that you had a soggy piece of tissue hanging out of one nostril.
Jack couldn’t contain himself, leaning forward as he chuckled at the sight before him.
“Sweetheart, what’s going on?” His hands instinctively cupped your face as he looked at you with worried eyes and a pouty lip.
“I think I’m allergic to those flowers” you sniffled, feeling a sneeze building up. You didn’t have enough warning time to turn away before sneezing on Jack's face.
He immediately pulled away from you, his eyes closed as he tried to hide the look of disgust as best he could.
“Ummm- bless you?” He was trying to be nice but the germaphobe in him wanted to scream and taking a scalding hot shower.
“Babe! I’m so sorry!” You were frozen as he finally gained composure enough to open one eye to find and grab the bouquet from off the table.
He used the inside of his shirt to wipe his face before walking toward the front door. “It’s okay, it’s fine”’ he was still in shock but didn’t want you to feel bad.
“I still have my mom’s bouquet in the car, I’m going to switch them out” he was frantically trying to make his way out of the house and to the car.
You leaned against the bathroom doorframe, trying to hold a laugh in, knowing you had most definitely picked a good one.

you always felt there was something… off. about the 24 hour deli you always passed by.
it seemed to always be empty, aside from the butcher who was constantly at work inside. chopping meat, severing flesh from bone, every action executed with nearly clinical precision. did they ever do anything else? how were they always so busy with so little customers?
you could never understand. but as much as you were put off by the strange little store, curiosity gnawed at you with equal strength.
because of that, the day you entered the shop for the first time late one night, you left all of your concerns at the door.
unbeknownst to you, the butcher had been watching you long before you ever entered their deli. they always felt your eyes on them when you passed by their store — your gaze just felt so different from others. electrical, almost. they always knew when you were nearby. you must've felt it too, right? the connection you had?
but poor rhodes, they could never just approach you! you never stopped by and you didn't even know their name. they never had an opening to meet you formally. it'd be such a shame to scare you off...
thus, they were content with watching you from a distance. they ensured you never noticed their dark eyes following you, only daring to observe you passing in their peripherals or looking in your direction after you had walked far enough away. how wonderful your appearance was... a lovely sight that always brightened up the monotony of their work days. it was so fun to see you go about your life, it satisfied them enough to not mind your lack of connection.
though, sometimes... they couldn't help but imagine the animals they were tearing apart were the folk they occasionally saw you talking to. to tear their skin off of them, cut them into filets and send them far, far away from you... they ideated about it more times than they'd admit. why did you have to interact with others in front of them?
the day you actually entered their shop was a day they'd never forget. they thought they were dreaming when you walked in, shivering from the cold of the night seeking warmth and food in their establishment for the first time. you'd started a new job, see, and your shift ended well after everything else had closed. you were forced to forgo dinner and you were starved. so rhodes' butchery was the only place nearby you could visit.
you were intimidated by them, admittedly. their hulking frame, blank expression, and rough voice combined with the blood and gore constantly clinging to their apron was enough to put anyone on edge. but they couldn't be that bad, right?
their rampant emotions were hidden behind the unwaveringly neutral expression they always held, and you were none the wiser to their thudding heart and the slight tremble in their hands as they took your order.
the exchange was simple enough — you ordered a sandwich and something warm to drink, they made it for you, and you'd sit in one of the few chairs scattering the deli's entrance to enjoy your food and try to wind down after your shift.
and just like that, a routine was established.
you got to know rhodes as you continued to visit their place of work. they weren't scary, just awkward! or so you told yourself. but they were so easy to talk to — albeit not the best conversationalist, they were a superb listener. they'd devote their full attention to you every time you spoke to them, not daring to breathe a word so they wouldn't interrupt your lovely voice. they'd learn everything they could about you during your conversations. how you were gradually getting used to your new job, how it was a good thing they were open so late, how you were grateful for their work... things that they'd replay in their mind over and over again when you left.
you never really thought much of it when rhodes began giving you food on the house, using various excuses from not wanting to have to reopen the register to having conveniently already made your favorite sandwich earlier that day for a canceled order. you were friends now! of course they'd want to do you favors.
you also never really thought of it when the coworker who you'd complained about to them a few times stopped coming to work, either. they made an enemy out of so many people at your job, maybe they got fired? it wasn't any of your business.
rhodes had no clue how they'd get closer to you just yet. but now that you were seeing them regularly, they didn't mind settling for making your life a bit easier.
in any way they could.
after all, no one was going to question a butcher for having bloodied clothes.

How would you feel about doing a Sanji/Law/Reader fic? Ideally NSFW? Pretty please?
Three's A Crowd
Tumblr media
I love both of them so much! Thank you so much for this request!
Three's a Crowd
Pairing: Law x afab!Reader x Sanji
WC: 2500
TW: unprotected sex, oral sex, threesome, three way, eiffel towering, degradation, kissing, alcohol consuption. I love them!
——
“Are you on drugs? You think YOU saved the day?” The attractive redhead, Nami of the Straw Hat Pirates shouted at the man with the overalls and long nose. The Heart Pirates had allied once again with the Straw Hats and found yourselves all aboard their ship celebrating your recent victory.
“You all would have been mincemeat had it not been for the GREAT Captain Usopp! You should be thanking me!” Clearly fueled by alcohol, Usopp continues embellishing a story of todays events.
You, having had several glasses of sparkling wine but still remembering this man cowering in fear several times over the past few days, chuckled at his story. You look down and realize your glass is empty and rise from the table to go refill it. You cross the deck on your way to the kitchen and swing the door open. Inside you found the Straw Hat’s chef at the kitchen island preparing more food and drink. You also found your captain (and lover) leaning forward on a stool gesticulating towards a small reindeer. Law had told you earlier that this was the Straw Hat’s doctor. They were engaged in conversation about the latest medical research on smoke inhalation victims.
You give Law a wink and a quick squeeze on the shoulder as you pass him, heading towards the half drunk wine bottles on the kitchen counter. Law responded with a subtle caress on your knee as you walked by. Law never advertised your relationship, but never let you doubt your status. He loved you. Law worshipped the ground you walked on, but wouldn’t let anyone but you know that. You liked it that way. You wanted to make your own way as a fighter and a pirate, not be known as Trafalgar D Water Law’s girlfriend. He knew that, too. You trusted each other enough to do your own thing in public without having to stake claims in front of others.
You reach the counter and grab a bottle of that mouth watering sparkling wine.
“Ah, y’n, ma belle. Please allow me to get that for you!” Sanji, the Straw Hat’s chef immediately dropped his paring knife in order to pour you another glass of alcohol. He was such a flirt. It was almost desperate. There was a difference between pursuing a woman and what Sanji did. He groveled and pleaded for even a glance from a beautiful woman. He was so unlike your confident, casual lover.
“Oh Sanji, I’m a big girl I can pour for myself!” You giggled as he snatched the glass out of your hand, filling it almost to the brim with bubbly goodness.
“After seeing your skills on the battlefield today, I have no doubt of your abilities, but please let me treat you after a well earned victory!” The cook passed you back your glass with hearts sparkling in his pupils. You smiled and took the glass and drew in a large sip. The flavor was exquisite, they must have brought out their finest stores for the occasion.
“mmm… you all certainly are treating us tonight. I do appreciate it.” You wink at the blonde, grab his hand and squeeze it briefly before dropping it. You held his gaze for a moment and watched as a singular blood droplet fell from his nose.
“The pleasure… ma cherie… is all mine!” He fawns over you as you turn to head back outside to the deck and return to the festivities. Before you could make it to the door, you felt a strong hand grab your wrist.
You were pulled backwards and forcefully seated on a denim clad lap.
“Oof!” You exclaim as you landed on Law’s thigh. The reindeer doctor had excused himself some time during your conversation with Sanji.
“Y/n-ya…”  Law purrs into your ear as he slowly strokes your back with one hand, keeping his other on your wrist. “Do you like him?”
You were taken aback. Of course you didn’t “like” the cook, you were in love with your captain.
“Obviously not, honey. No one could ever please me the way you do.” You say in a whisper as you take the side of his face in your hand.
“But you find him attractive, no? It’s hard not to…” Law moves his hand from your back to your thigh and skims it up your side under your pink pleated skirt. You couldn’t help but now imagine the Straw Hat’s cook with his face between your thighs…
“You always said you wanted to try a third…” Your boyfriend hooks his thumb under the thing waistband of your panties and snaps it against your skin. You jolt into him, unconsciously grinding your sex against his thigh. “you’d like that… wouldn’t you, pretty girl?”
You whimpered. Law chuckled. “I’ll take that as a yes, y/n-ya. I’ll talk to him. Go out, enjoy the party. Meet me in our room in an hour or two.” Law gave you a prompting squeeze on the ass under your skirt.
You clenched at the prospect of having your first threesome, especially with such handsome, powerful men. You obeyed Law’s orders and hopped off his lap and headed back out to the deck.
Once back on the deck you brought your wine glass over to where Nami, Zoro, Brook and Robin of the Straw Hat’s were seated around a small bonfire enjoying the beautiful starry night. You joined their conversation and settled into your chair.
“OK y/n so I gotta know…” Nami looked at you and took a long sip of her drink.
“Mmm? What?” You set your glass down and sit up to look in her direction.
“Why don’t you have to wear a stupid jumpsuit? Like, how come everyone has a uniform but you?” Nami inquired genuinely, her words slurred from the buzz she was feeling. Caught off guard, you belly laughed.
“Haha! Mostly because my boobs don’t fit!” You laughed at your own joke, Nami and Robin laughing at it as well. Zoro didn’t get why it was funny and Brook was paralyzed at the thought of your breasts struggling to fit into a pair of off-white coveralls.
After your riotous laughter with the girls died down, you caught your breath and responded.
“No really, though, Nami, when you’re fucking the captain, you can wear whatever you want.”
Nami shrieked in surprise and Brook shrieked in disappointment. You were laughing to yourself as you overheard Robin clasp her hands together and giggle “good for you!”
Moving past this topic, you chatted with the Straw Hat’s for quite awhile and drank your fill of sparkling wine. You eventually excused yourself to the guest bedroom aboard the ship you were sharing with your lover for the time being. Feeling heated from Law’s earlier preposition, you went to the mirror and fixed your hair and applied perfume. As you spritzed the nape of your neck, the door opened.
Law entered your shared guest room and appeared behind you in the mirror. He wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his face in your neck and peppered it with open mouth kisses.
“Is he… coming?” You ask with breathy sighs punctuating your words as your lover sucked on your neck.
“mmm… impatient, are we, little one?” You could feel him smirk against your skin.
“You know I only need you…” You breath out as Law firmly grabs your hips and grinds them into his pelvis.
“I know that too… But why not have some fun while we’re here.. right, y/n?” He was so confident in your love for him that he felt that another man wouldn’t change your relationship. The way you screamed on his cock every night, there was no way you’d ever find anyone more satisfying. He knew you had always wanted to try taking two men at once, and he loved you so much he couldn’t deny that for you…
“I… I want that…” You whispered to Law.
“Good.” Law smirked and picked you up and laid you down on the bed. He hovered over you and slammed his lips onto yours into a drunk, needy kiss. Law strips all of your clothes off your body and takes his off as well.
As you and your lover were making out on the bed you heard the door open. You pulled away from Law’s hungry lips to notice a meek Sanji sliding into the room.
“I.. Um…”
“Here, Black Leg-ya. Come kiss her.” Law was never one to waste time. Law raises his body off yours, leaving you fully exposed for Sanji.
Sanji waited for a moment and looked into your eyes. You nodded at him. He walked towards you and stripped off his suit down to his dress socks and his tight, black boxers. Sanji climbs on top of you and stares at your wet, kiss-swollen lips, silently asking for permission. The answer you give him is leaning up into his face and taking his nervous lips with yours. He relaxes into your kiss and slides his soft, graceful hands up your sides. You moan into his mouth.
Sanji slips his tongue into your mouth as he explores your naked body with his hands. He groans into your lips when he finally feels your pebbled nipples with his fingers.
“She’s ready. Take her.” You open your eyes and look over to the side of the bed where Law was intently watching the cook savor your body.
“You-you’re sure, Trafalgar? This isn’t a trap?” Sanji pulls off your lips to look at your lover.
“You better get inside her before I change my mind.” Law begins to stroke his cock languidly, eyes meeting yours. You whimpered at his serious eye contact. Wordlessly, Sanji pulls off his briefs and climbs back on top of you and spreads your legs. Sanji spits into the flat of his palm and slaps it onto your naked cunt.
“Aaah!” You shriek out at the sharp contact. Sanji lewdly spreads the saliva all over your hole and labia before lining himself up with your messy hole.
“Tell him how much you want it, y/n-ya. Tell him what a filthy little girl you are, wanting so many cocks…” Law was sitting next to you, slowly fisting his cock as he used his other hand to push your sweaty hair past your forehead. Your body was on fire, you wanted someone ANYONE to fill you and you wanted it NOW.
“Yes, Sanji! I’m a dirty girl! I want to feel you inside me, please!” You whined out at the cook.
“As you wish, Mademoiselle…” Sanji groans as he pushes his throbbing cock inside of you, raw. Both you and Sanji moan in pleasure, both having been teased by Law for so long. After a few moments of getting used to the sensation, Sanji begins to thrust shallowly inside of you.
You moan out at the luxurious feeling. Law appears next to your head on the bed, standing above you. Law grabs your cheeks with one hand.
“Is he making you feel good, sweetheart? You like Black Leg’s cock? You’re drooling… how embarrassing… I guess we should stop that, huh?”
And just as you open your eyes, Law’s hard dick was tapping against your lips. You obediently open your mouth for his large member. His tattooed hand guides the tip of his dick past the threshold of your throat.  You gag and moan while Sanji continues to batter your pussy.
“Thaaaat’s my girl… show Black Leg what a talented little fuck doll you are.” You sputter around Law’s cock and babble at him unintelligibly. You pull off of Law's cock for a moment.
“Yes… Sir… I want… To please.. you!” You spit out breathlessly at your lover as the Straw Hat Cook pounded into your aching cunt.
“Ma Cherie… Such a beautiful little pussy, the best I’ve ever had!” Sanji proclaims with hearts in his eyes. He raises his right hand to rub at your clit. The cook’s eyes  shift for a moment… “Traffy you have to share her, let her stay here for awhile…” Sanji chokes out as he looks at your captain.
“It’s a one night only event, Black Leg-ya, get your fill now.. she belongs to me.” Law punctuates his statement with a hard thrust down your open throat. You were laid on your bed, Sanji thrusting into your abused pussy while Law shoved his cock repeatedly into your mouth.
“Then I’m filling her up, Traffy…” Sanji picks up the speed of his thrusts and firmly grips your hips. You shriek in pleasure, feeling your orgasm creep up on you.
“No, that was part of the deal!” Law almost yells at the cook across your body. Both of the men speed up their thrusts. Tears were pouring down your face with mascara onto Law’s cock, not concerned with their argument. You felt one of Law’s hands leave your neck.
“ROOM! SHAMBLES!” Suddenly your world was light blue. The pleasure in your cunt and the feeling in your throat didn’t go away, but it changed slightly. You kept sucking on the cock in your mouth like your life depended on it. You look up and it was Sanji who was thrusting his cock into your mouth. You gagged and looked down at your stuffed pussy.
Suddenly it was Law stuffing your cunt, not the chef. Law grabbed your hips and angled them upwards the way that you like. You moaned out around Sanij’s cock.
“I’m-mmmpphh- Cummminn-!” Without warning, your cunt pulses and spasms around your lovers cock, getting the familiar comforting feeling of the love of your life filling you.
“Ahh Fuck you guys-!” Sanji shouts as he cums down your throat, his right hang pulling you by the hair onto his cock. You swallow it, just as Law has always taught you.
“good girl… now take the rest…!” Law slams his hips into yours and empties his hot seed into your cunt.
After the 3 of you had caught your breathe, Bothe Sanji and Law tucked you into a bath.
Sanji gets up to leave the bathroom.
“Thank you, both of you…” He was so awkward. It was like a dog who had finally caught a car tire. He didn’t know what to do now that he finally got what he wanted. Law sponged the soap onto your shoulders and looked towards the door.
“Next time we meet, Black Leg-ya… Be ready to do it again.” Law smirked as Sanji nodded and left the bathroom zipping up his trousers.

pairing: spencer reid x f!reader

a/n: hello! my first fic on this acc I have a marvel acc that I have neglected so I'm starting fresh! This is for the girlies with killer thighs who I assume have had the same problem as me finding the jeans that fit properly!!!!
warnings: probably mistakes English isn't my first language and also I haven't written anything for months so I'm rusty
Tumblr media
___________________________________________
"Fuck!"
Spencer pokes his head from the bathroom at your profanity, checking to see if everything is okay.
"Sweetheart, you okay?"
You look at your boyfriend and he can tell something is wrong, not because he's a profiler but because there's tears threatening to spill.
"These are the fourth jeans this month alone."
The jeans you've just now ripped were the last ones you've had, which only could mean one thing. Jean shopping was necessary.
"Baby, that's okay I'll take you to get new ones. It's okay."
Spencer knows he said something wrong when you give him the look - annoyance and frustration in your eyes.
"You just don't get it."
Maybe you sound dramatic, and yeah, you know he wants to help, but that wasn't what you wanted to hear so you dramatically flop on the bed and sigh.
"Okay, tell me what can I do for you?" You groan into your pillow.
"Nothing Spence, let's just go get new jeans."
Spencer texts Emily that there has been an emergency and he won't be able to come to work today, which you tried to stop him from doing because this could wait - apparently not.
"Let's go." Spencer grabs your hand and leads you out.
Spencer severely miscalculated the amount of time it would take you to find jeans - you did tell him this is a process, but he didn't expect that after 3 hours you've gotten 0 jeans.
"I give up. This is hopeless. " You walk out of the fitting room trying so hard not to cry, but this always happens.
"They don't fit properly everywhere. They are either too tight on thighs or they are too wide on my hips or both, or they're too long or short, they have no pockets and if they do they are too small. Oh and get this, when you go to the plus-size store, they get more expensive. Why?I can't even order anything online because the sizes are different everywhere and I-" Spencer pulls you into his chest and caresses your back, drawing circles trying to calm you down.
He never thought about this because he's never had that issue and now it makes sense you've been upset this morning. Now he was even upset at himself for not understanding earlier.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I'm sorry I didn't understand. Tell you what, let's take a break for ice cream or whatever you want."
Sometimes, you don't believe Spencer is real and even better he's yours.
"Okay sounds good."
While taking a break, Spencer has been thinking about you and how stressful this is for you both physically and mentally.
"What you thinking about so hard, Doc." Spencer chuckles at your pet name for him, you love Back to The Future and Spencer, well he has some issues with how time travel was done, but he likes the pet name anyways.
"I'm thinking how to fix this. Why are jeans so hard to find? That's not fair."
"Spence, you can't just fix the system. This is just how it is. Besides, this wasn't so bad you were there."
Spencer frowns. How many times have you gone on a hunt for jeans without him, if this was "not so bad" how does it look when he's not here.
"Baby, that doesn't help. Is there anything I can do for you?" Spencer asks, holding your hand.
"Uh, you're the fbi call every single company that makes jeans and tell them to make better jeans." you joke, but Spencer gets an idea.
"You know what you're right."
You look at him quizzically, trying to figure out what your genius is going to do.
"Don't worry about it let's go home we're done for today."
*some days later*
Spencer gets the notification that his package is almost home, and he's genuinely excited for you to get this gift. Unfortunately, he won't be there to open it with you, but he's sure you'll love it.
As if on cue his phone rings.
"Hey, Spence, something arrived in your name, I didn't know you ordered anything?" you look at the box in your hands trying to figure out what it is.
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you." you scoff, Spencer is literally unable to forget anything.
"Okay, I lied, that's a surprise for you, but promise not to open it before I'm able to face time you okay?" Spencer can feel your excitement and impatience from miles away, but after some sweet talking, you finally promise not to even take a peek.
"Loverboy, the surprise go well?" Derek asks, ruffling Spencers hair.
"I don't know yet. I am like 90% sure that she'll like my surprise but there's always a chance she doesn't so." Everyone rolls their eyes at his reply and continue talking about the case.
Finally, after getting to the hotel, Spencer showers and calls you, excited to have you see the surprise.
"Hi, honey." Spencer chuckles at seeing you with a box opener in your hand and box inches from you.
"I wasn't gonna open it."
"Sure you weren't. Go on, baby." You huff and open the box carefully, hoping there wasn't anything breakable. You might have shook it a couple of times but he didn't need to know that.
Your eyes open wide in surprise, you look at the box and then at Spencer and then again at the box.
You pull out the pair of jeans from the box and look at them.
"Try them on."
"Spence what is this?" you ask looking through the box counting 6 pairs of jeans with no tag or size on them.
"They're jeans for you! Remember how you said I'm the fbi and I should call everyone and tell them to make better jeans?" the disbelief on your face makes him smile.
"Well I didn't do exactly that. But... I did use some connections in the fbi. Anyways try them on"
Not knowing what else to do, you just do that.
"Spencer."
"These are perfect like they fit like they were made for me."
"It's because they were, and if some of them don't fit, let me know if I need to have a talk with the person to fix them."
You can't believe your boyfriend literally went out of his way and had someone make you a perfect pair of jeans.
"I... I don't know what to say. You're literally the best and no these are perfect. How?"
"Well, I had Garcia research some people and then I found them and then had Derek meet some of them to threaten them to do a good job and yeah."
He says that like it's the most normal thing to say, like he's listing groceries.
"I love you. Not because of the jeans just-"
"I know, I know, but try all of them on. Also, I personally wouldn't mind if you lost the shirt you know because it's gonna overshadow the jeans you know?"
"Spencer!"

Hey, my misfits, who's hungry for more cute fluff, friends to lovers, and a tale as old as time?! Enjoy my Beauty and the Beast AU: Chaggie style!
The Devil and the Innocent: Pt.1
It was a long time ago, in a far-off place. A king had disappeared, leaving behind his daughter. The child was kind to a fault, but one day when the worst day of her life happened. She, in her fit of rage, brought hell upon her ex, the man had been caught cheating, locking herself away in her castle afterward, the Princess never came out again. “Why can't I find someone who loves me for me!” She would wail sobbing into her pillows.
Her cries were answered when an enchantress disguised as an old crone appeared at the door. Still in pain and distraught with none to comfort her, the Princess turned said woman away to the cold, apologizing as she closed the door. “Your heart has been shattered. You choose to live in isolation away from those you care about. Surely, this will help you find the one you seek.”
In a matter of moments the Princess crumbled forward, her body growing bigger and stronger. Her own workers also felt this change shifting into many different things to reflect the cruel joke the Enchantress placed upon the crew.
Thus was how the Devil and her mysterious castle came to be.
A sigh escaped the reader's lips, the Latina with the most beautiful shade of jade to her eye closed her book. “Thanks for reading to us, Miss Vagatha!” A child cooed smiling.
“Of course, now run along, I only said one story before your chores.” Vaggie smiled as the children giggled and scattered. She leaned back and sighed, wondering what books she could find or what her adopted mother Carmilla Carmine was making this time.
She got up dusting her beautiful white sundress off and hosting the brown leather bag over her shoulder. Vagatha or as most would call her Vaggie was the talk of the town, her elegant yet calm demeanor, her skills as a folk dancer, and the fact that she was the daughter of the King's best arms dealer Carmilla Carmine.
The people of Little Pride watched the woman walk through the streets.“Bonjour!” several greeted her smiling. Others watched her with skeptical looks.
“She's an oddball that one, she's beauty and grace despite the eyepatch that's on her face.” A woman spoke to her friend as they gossiped.
“Her face was either lost in dancing or pressed in a book.” The other replied as Vaggie paid no mind to them.
“She hardly ever has to look!” One child cooed seeing Vaggie effortlessly dodging the many carts.
Her stroll through the town was a simple one, she smiled softly entering one of her favorite stores, Angel's Archive, a bookstore run by the cutest south indian bookworm Emily and her mother Sera. “Hello Vaggie, are you here for the latest copy of Arms and Armor?” The bubbly browned haired girl asked, smiling.
“You know it.” The other girl replied, being handed the book.
“Thanks again for the continued patronage!” Emily grinned as Vaggie paid for the book. “My pleasure, see you, Em.”
---
Vaggie casually wandered through the town on her way home, she always loved the rustic architecture, and the knights that would rarely pass by in order to restock their gear. “Well well, hello there Vagasaurus.” A scratchy male voice smirked, his tall muscular chubby body towering over her as Vaggie had sat down on the local fountain to read her book.
Her eye narrowed. “Haven't I told you not to call me that Adam?” She growled. “Need me to kick your ass again?”
“Ooo I love a woman who can kick ass. You're just making me the dickmaster hard babe.” Adam grinned, making Vaggie get up.
“¿por qué tengo que lidiar con este idiota…” (Why do I have to deal with this dick head) “Seriously Adam, fuck off.” The Latina stated walking away.
“Ooo I love it when your accent comes out, so exotic.” He purred. “Bet you're also still salty you got canned from the Exorcist Platoon for losing your eye.” He smirked, poking an old wound.
“And you're bringing this up, why?” Vaggie growled, her head starting to ache.
“Cause even if you play civilian, that doesn't mean I'll not recognize one of my top girls when you're out of uniform Vagasaurus.” Adam laughed, twirling on his finger, her old badge. “Though ya might wanna trim that mop of yours.” He smirked, motioning to the knee-length hair.
Vaggie's eye twitched as she couldn't hold back her temper anymore. “Apenada Carmilla…” (Sorry) She muttered under her breath and decked Adam in his stupid face. The taller man stumbled back but he smirked.
“There's the killer I know and love.” He purred satisfied. Vaggie soon hurried home, her heart racing from adrenaline.
Home however was on the outskirts of the town, it was a large grey stone building with smoke coming out of its chimney. Vaggie quietly ducked inside not noticing the fact Adam and his band had followed. Carmilla was often crafting new weapons with the help of her daughters, Vaggie was grateful to the arms dealer who had taken her in when she was abandoned on the outskirts after a nasty skirmish.
That day made the ex soldier shudder, it was a raid Adam led on a small outpost, but said outpost was actually a town filled with aboriginal people living their humble lives. “You'll surrender everything to us or your lives are forfeit!” The blood thirsty ex coworker Lute had roared.
The people didn't surrender, it was a bloodbath, Vaggie went into one of the homes and found two children and their mother shaking. Seeing their scared eyes still haunted Vaggie. “Get out of here, go now!” She had spoken, sending the trio away.
This didn't sit well with Adam who had seen it. While the others were distracted, he had ordered Lute to punish the traitor.
Vaggie broke out of her trance upon hearing the doors. “Not you again!” She growled seeing Adam.
“What? I won't take no for an answer, you'll be mine and it'll be great. I am thee dickmaster.” Adam smirked casually sitting down and mansplaning like he owned the place.
Vaggie sighed. No matter how many times she said no, this douche kept pressing despite the fact she wasn't really into men at all or anyone right now for that matter. She smirked evilly when Adam started munching loudly on chips. “Oh Adam, could you scoot to your right please?” She batted her eyelashes.
The idiot grinned, finally getting his way moving to the right so she could sit with him. “That's more like it..” He licked his lips. Vaggie casually did her alluring dance heading over to a lever. “Wait what?!”
“You really are stupid, wow. Anyway get the fuck outta my house!” She pulled it and sent Adam tumbling out through a trapdoor.
“Fucking bitch!!!!!” He roared splashing into the lake nearby. He growled, poking his head out of the water as Lute shook her head. “Not a word Lute..” He snarled and left with her.
Carmilla clapped, surprising Vaggie who blinked. “Never liked that man. Well done.” She smiled with her own two toned brown hair up as demon horns. “Now come along, I need your help in inspecting some weaponry.” Her voice was warm and motherly.
Carmilla was in her casual black tunic and slacks, she even sported some white gloves, a white and red pouch on her side, and some beautiful white boots.
Vaggie smiled and followed her, relieved that some of her soldier days could be useful.
“I was asked to head over to Zestial's domain for some tea and a business proposal.” Carmilla spoke after sorting through several weapons. “I'll be gone for a few days as the trip there is long.” She added and looked at Vaggie.
“Alright, but isn't Zestial’s territory beyond the Hellfire woods?”
“It is, but I've traveled it many times, and I can take care of myself.” Carmilla replied casually tapping her feet. Vaggie always found it so cool that her mentor had blades in her shoes since it made the fools drop their guard. “Now make sure the latest shipment is ready for transport, I'm sure Odette and Clara will be back soon with their wagons.”
Vaggie saluted and nodded. It made Carmilla chuckle a bit, but she then smiled warmly. “Umm?” Vaggie blinked confused.
“Here, I heard you lost yours during the skirmish, ex soldier.” The taller woman handed Vaggie a beautiful looking spear.
It was no secret to the Carmine family that Vaggie used to be a soldier. Carmilla being the first to notice. The spear looked similar to Vaggie's old one but instead of one side with a curved blade, it was wider, sharper, and hooked on both sides. “R-really? Is it for me Ms. Carmine?” She asked as she was baffled.
“Of course, you've proven yourself time and time again with keeping my home safe, Vaggie.” Carmilla replied but blinked, receiving a brief hug. She laughed a bit and petted Vaggie on the head.
It was soon time for the taller woman to depart as she climbed into the driver seat. She easily took the reigns of a handsome black and white stallion named Diablo. “Good luck on your trip Ms. Carmine!” Vaggie waved as the other woman departed.
-----
Elsewhere in the local tavern Adam was sulking. He couldn't believe that bitch Vaggie managed to pull one over on him. “Sir, no need to be so hung up over that traitor. After all you're Adam, the first man to ever conquer a village of over fifty thousand people.” Lute stated annoyed by his sulking.
Adam grumbled looking briefly at his second in command. He had to admit despite the vicious nature which he loved, Lute did have the hotter look with the short black bob, pale peach skin, grey armor over her black bodysuit, plus those sexy white gloves and heels. “I just hate it when I don't get what I want.” He replied grumpily.
Lute smirked a bit and handed him his favorite instrument. “It's annoying sir to see you so down.” She started as Adam blinked. He smirked and started to jam with his favorite girl. “Who cares about that mop bucket piece of shit bitch. You're the Dick fucking master.” She hyped him up, making Adam laugh with glee.
The girls easily swooned over Adam since the man often exposed his sexy chest hair through his white and gold long robe jacket, his lavender tunic underneath alongside some casual black trousers and boots. If there was any word to describe this man it would be “bear”.
“I am the man with the best dick around, come on ladies let's get down!” He roared into song, jamming hard. Though after his fun tavern party Lute took him aside. “Huh what's up danger tits?”
“Want to get back at the cunt?” She asked evilly. Adam's reply was a huge evil smirk. “Alright then, here's what I have in mind sir.”
-----
On the open road, Carmilla's carriage made its way to the cursed forest, its soft red mist echoing that of entering hell. She found it amusing and liked the route since it kept bandits off her ass. Diablo, however, whinnied and started to fuss. “What's wrong boy, ¿Estás asustado por algo?” (Are you spooked by something?) She spoke softly, trying to soothe the stallion.
He stomped his hooves and tried to wrestle free of his carriage binds. “Ah!” Carmilla yelped, being tossed off as Diablo managed to smash the carriage into a tree. “Diablo?!” She blinked but growled stranded in the forest.
Through some exploration, the woman found something she'd never seen before, a white and gold castle with the skies reddening as she got closer. Cautiously she knocked on the large wooden doors which made the door creep open.
“Who the hell is that broad?” A voice spoke. “Someone whose lost their fuckin way dipshit.” Another answered. “Quiet you two dumbasses.” The third hushed them.
“Tch, I don't like this..” Carmilla looked around the grand red entryway, it had a red brick staircase leading upward with golden handles and railing. The floor was a more muted grey with it being decorated by a large carpet bearing the symbol of two snakes intertwining over an apple.
“Not another word outta you two got it? Seriously Angel and Cherri learn to shut the fuck up.” A voice spoke quietly.
“Look can someone please come fucking out already? I lost my horse and the town's too far away to walk back.” Carmilla growled softly. “I'm willing to pay you for letting me stay the night since I don't want to walk back with it being so dark out.”
“Oooh wow, a bitch with an attitude. I like her.” Cherri smirked watching the tall woman.
“C'mon Husk she's got no place ta go.” Angel replied as Husk groaned.
Carmilla blinked, turning her head around picking up Angel as Cherri who had been turned into a wind up monkey smirked. “Who the fuck said that?!”
“Oooh, check out the mommy dommy hands on this one Angie!” Cherri grinned as Carmilla blinked, staring at her. “Hi there.”
“What the fuck?!” The woman replied as she then looked over at the snickering Angel. He was a four armed candlestick with five flames.
“Hiya mommy.” He playfully snickered.
“Now you've done it.” Husk sighed, being a talking wind up tuxedo cat.
Carmilla just blinked at the two, clearly confused. “How the fuck are you moving?” She had dropped Angel only to pick up Husk, curious as to how a children's toy is moving on its own.
“Long story I tell ya.” Angel snickered seeing Husk being toyed with. “Hey, quit it!” The cat hissed but blinked, noticing a small bit of blood on Carmilla's head.
“Dios mio..” (Oh my god) Carmilla sighed feeling like she's lost it.
“Oy demon lady, you're bleedin’.” Angel replied, waving one of his candles. “Follow us and we'll get that looked at.”
Carmilla grumbled but followed the odd trio of objects into the next room, not noticing the looming shadow that watched her from above.
“Ugh you two are gonna piss off the princess.” Husk muttered but moved aside as a cart wheeled over to Carmila who had been led to sit down in a rather large red velvet chair. “And we don't need another one of those rage moments.”
“Care for a nice cup of tea dearie?” A warm voice came from the beautiful Victorian style red and grey tea pot.
“Oh.. Um..” Carmilla looked a little surprised when a coat rack was bandaging her head. “Alright?”
“How about some music as well my dear?” A voice came from a rather nice looking mahogany radio with black knobs and glowing green lights.
“Ugh you idiots are going to alert the Devil.” Husk groaned, but the radio chuckled.
“Oh no need to be in such a tizzy Husker, a little music doesn't hurt anybody. Right Rosie?” Two beating red eyes looked over at the tea kettle.
“Of course Alastor, music is quite a nice way to enjoy some tea dearie.”.
Carmilla picked up the cup and took a sip from it. “Nyeh, why am I against a lady's lips!” A shrill voice came from the red tea cup as two cute yellow eyes blinked at Carmilla.
“What the fuck?!” She blinked but looked over the cup.
Quacking was heard as a footstool waddled its way over lifting Carmilla's feet up. Though it was strange and felt like a drug trip, Carmilla didn't seem to mind the great hospitality.
The crew jolted hearing the door slam open off its hinges. “Here we go…” Husk gulped. Carmilla growled, getting up fast and ready to fight, however she was easily subdued by powerful black claws coming around her neck.
“Who are you, why are you here?” That voice came out low and growly. Carmilla stared at the figure before her, her eyes wide. “Doesn't matter you're not welcome here…” The beast snarled, dragging Carmilla off as the other tried to follow.
Carmilla couldn't believe her eyes, whatever had her by the neck with ease was a giant massive beast with blonde fur, a wolf like snout, cloven red hooves, deep white eyes with red sclera, two red horns sticking out of its head, and a long spiked black tail with a triangular tip. “El diablo mismo…” (The Devil itself.) escaped her lips as the beast growled at her.
“What the fuck are you saying? Are you staring at me?!” The beast snarled slamming Carmilla into a wall. “I bet you've come to stare at the Devil huh? Well you've found her.”
“Hey hey! Princess, you're going to kill her!” Angel stated, waving at her.
“I'd love to see the blood bath.” Niffty giggled watching.
“All I wanted was a place to rest for the night. Agh…” Carmilla felt that grip tighten.
The Devil narrowed her eyes and growled. “I'll give you a damn place to stay as you wish.” She dragged Carmilla to the dungeons and locked the woman inside. “Now stay there and enjoy your new home.”
“What?!” Carmilla snapped trying to get out to no avail. “Damn it…” She growled, lowering her head.

17 or 18 for the soft prompts?
I went with “walking home”! This takes place after the s6 finale! Send me soft prompts! Find the finished ones on ao3!
Their first date is at 9 PM on an unseasonably warm night in May, and mostly happens because of a long campaign on Christopher's part to convince his father that he's old enough to stay in the house alone for an hour or two.
Or it's because when Buck, nervous, unsure of how much he could retroactively claim, joked that their first date had involved a leg and a bomb Eddie had smiled with something like awe.
Or it's because, half an hour before that, when Buck had finally made it through Eddie's door after two days at Maddie's side, or at Bobby's, or watching Jee, or making sure Hen got home ok, he had poured the cracked open remains of himself into Eddie's arms and Eddie had held him so gently, and then taken Buck’s face in his hands and pressed a careful kiss to the scratches on one side of his forehead, and then to the birthmark on the other, and finally to his lips, and the whole world had tilted from an axis Buck hadn’t known it was leaning on to settle into perfect position.
Anyway. It’s nine o’ clock and Eddie has several broken ribs and as much as Chris insists he’ll be totally absolutely fine on his own neither of them want to go far, so they end up at a taqueria an eight minute walk away. Buck’s only showered once since the freeway collapse, and Eddie’s hair is a mess, and they’re both wearing sweatpants, and Eddie holds his hand across one of the little metal tables crowded on the sidewalk and Buck wouldn’t change a single thing. They barely talk as they eat under the buzzing overhead lights, murmured questions and answers about the wellbeing of the rest of the 118, trading almost inaudible confessions. Since then? How about- And this? Me too. Me too. Buck paid at the counter when they’d ordered and Eddie had said I’ll get it next time, and it feels like a little light in Buck’s chest as they sit there together (together) in the hot nighttime air. Next time. Eddie is still holding his hand, and smiling at him, and there’s going to be a next time.
“You ready to go home?” Eddie asks when they’ve eaten their fill, and there is no question which house he means, no question that Buck belongs there.
“Yeah,” Buck says, light glowing brighter. “Let’s go home.”
Eddie grunts as he stands up from the chair and Buck’s hands flutter around him without any conscious choice on his part. “You alright? I can run back and get the Jeep.”
“I’m good,” he shakes his head, smiling in his indulging Buck way. “Driving hurts worse than walking anyway.”
Buck winces in sympathy. He remembers the bumpy ride home from the hospital after CPR had cracked his chest open, and that had been after a full week of healing. “Sorry, we should have- Waited, or I could have gone to get the food-“
“Buck,” Eddie cuts him off. “It’s a nice night.” It’s a lie, it’s so sweaty out here, and Eddie laughs at whatever expression Buck makes. “It’s nice to be out with you,” he amends. He takes Buck’s hand again, stepping very close and glancing around before quickly kissing his cheek. “Come on.”
The streetlights in this neighborhood are old, bulbs dim, and spaced far enough apart that most of the light they’re seeing by is spilled out of the houses and corner stores they pass. It makes the world feel like a private space for the two of them, wrapping them in something like candlelight. They're holding hands, still, and Buck thinks of the hundreds of times they've walked side by side with shoulders and elbows bumping and the hundreds of times he'd thought about finishing the connection, reaching out, entwining their fingers. Eddie squeezes every few steps, and keeps glancing at Buck out of the corner of his eyes and smiling whenever he sees Buck is looking back.
"What do you think Chris is up to?" Eddie's soft voice joins the cricket chirps and quiet hiss of sprinklers on the lawn next to them.
"Oh, rager, definitely."
Eddie shakes his head, grinning. "Yeah? All the coolest 12 year olds from science class?"
"You callin' your kid a nerd?"
Eddie throws him a look that knows exactly how many annual memberships to museums Buck and Chris share, and Buck cackles.
"I'll have you know in my college days-"
"Oh? All two semesters?"
"In my many, glorious college days I learned that the nerds partied harder than anyone. Get biochem and the engineers together and things are going to get really fun and really illegal so fast-"
"So we should start pushing him towards the humanities now-"
"But anyway," Buck concludes, jabbing a thumb in the direction of the Diaz house, "I bet he's just swearing while he plays video games."
Eddie shoves him lightly, laughing, and Buck lets himself stumble across the grass into the spray of the sprinklers. He spins in place on the lawn, head tilted back to stare up past the city lights to the few visible stars, getting gently soaked. When he stops his spin he’s facing Eddie, body a compass returning to him always. He holds his arms wide and grins and Eddie laughs again, in that fearfully delighted kind of way, and moves faster up the sidewalk. Buck chases after him, spinning him around and catching him so carefully, wrapping him up in a wet embrace. Eddie laughs, deep, head thrown back. He's still laughing as he gets his hands up into Buck's hair, yanking him down into a kiss in the middle of the sidewalk. The air is hot and Buck's clothes are wet and cool and Eddie is so warm, and the light in Buck's chest is turning into a supernova. Buck's hands slide down to Eddie's hips, and Eddie breaks the kiss, resting their foreheads together. Buck thinks they both probably look a little giddy, a little wide eyed.
"Eddie," Buck says, just to say it, or like he's trying to say something else he's not sure he's allowed yet.
"Yeah," Eddie says, like I love you, too.
They start their journey again slowly, arm in arm. It takes them a little longer than eight minutes to get back, Eddie moving a little gingerly and neither of them in any hurry. Buck almost feels reluctant when the Diaz front door comes into view. Eddie, halfway up a step, turns around at the hesitation. He tilts his head, and his smile is understanding and utterly fond.
“Hey, Buck.”
“Yeah?”
“What are you doing next Friday?”
Buck huffs out a laugh, ducking his head and coming closer, toes bumping into the stair Eddie stands on. “I got no plans.”
“If the kid hasn’t burned anything down in there, do you… want to do this again?” Eddie almost looks nervous, and Buck immediately goes up on his toes to kiss the worry away.
“Please,” he says, and he thinks Eddie blushes, though he can’t be sure backlit as he is by the warm porch light. Eddie’s fingers brush against Buck’s shoulder, then tangle in his shirt for just a moment.
“Okay,” he says, quiet, joyful. They linger there a moment longer, just breathing in each other’s space, then he steps back, unlocks the door, holds out a hand.
Buck takes it. They go inside.

Innocent Moments No One Sees
• Zack laughing so hard at the way Sephiroth pronounces schedule that milk comes out of his nose. Sephiroth then laughing so hard at the milk coming out of Zack's nose that he is immobile on the ground for several minutes.
• Sephiroth falling asleep in the library, Genesis and Angeal counting how many books they can stack on top of him before he wakes up.
• Zack folding paper daisies that Aerith taught him and placing them in Sephiroth's hair one by one during a meeting.
• Angeal and Sephiroth walking back to the tower after getting milkshakes. They got different flavors, but switch drinks every ten minutes. They're talking about what they would name their hypothetical pet chocobo.
• Genesis giving Zack another ear piercing. Zack is sitting on Genesis' bathroom sink with his feet up, wearing a battered Loveless hoodie he fully plans on stealing from him. They're both talking about the first time they got their ears pierced as Genesis works.
• Angeal and Zack going on a run and jokingly racing each other. Angeal can't catch up to Zack, who has infinite energy. Then Zack trips and faceplants on the ground, getting a bloody nose. Angeal then gives him a piggyback ride back to the tower. They're clowning around on their way there, with Zack pretending that he's a cowboy and Angeal is his horse.
• Zack dragging Sephiroth up to the roof on a rainy day, giving him a fun yellow raincoat and ordering that he jump in all the puddles to heal his inner child. Little did they know that Genesis and Angeal had been hiding behind some ventilation units and would come out with two giant super-soakers.
• Sephiroth and Genesis walking around the Skyview hall at three AM. Neither of them can sleep and are still in pajamas. They're sharing earbuds and laughing at all the cringey music Genesis has on his old MP3.
• Genesis and Angeal sprawled out on Angeal's kitchen floor in the middle of the afternoon looking at an old photo album from their childhood. They're eaten their way through half a box of ice cream sandwiches already.
• The four of them having a sleepover at Sephiroth's apartment. They've already ordered pizza, Genesis has made them all drinks, and they're now playing a boardgame with a movie that they've long abandoned playing in the background.
• The four of them going on a shopping trip to the mall. Zack is trailing behind Genesis at some high-end boutique. He's eating mango ice cream and critiquing every one of Genesis' outfit choices. Meanwhile, Angeal and Sephiroth are laughing their asses off. They found a gothic clown painting at an art store and are now lugging it back to the car. They plan on hanging it in Lazard's office as a prank.
• Sephiroth putting clear tape on his office door at Zack's exact eye level, then texting him "I have cookies in my office if you want some." He then watches as Zack runs into the tape at full speed.
• All of them going on a mission together, something that usually doesn't happen, but even Lazard could agree that they needed a break. The four of them are laying on the grass outside the camp with their heads touching. They're watching the stars and sharing jokes. Nothing bad has happened yet.

Summary: When you and Phoenix go out to pick Elderberries for the Prison, a man from another group attacks you and knocks you out. Dragging you to a clearing in the woods he makes his demands. He wants to know about the prison and claims he and his people don't want to hurt anyone, but will in order to survive. He claims they need weapons and in order to get them... he's taking your daughter Phoenix as collateral.
Tumblr media
It was just supposed to be a simple foraging expedition. Nothing major so you had only brought your knife and a few buckets to carry the berries in. Nothing you've never done on your own before. Hell even before the turn you had done this. You and Hershel had noticed the Elder Berry bushes growing near a creek several days prior on your way back to the prison after a walk to clear some of the walkers that had piled against the fence. You were fairly certain you were still visible from those on watch at the prison… you never would have left by yourself if you hadn’t been sure. You most certainly would never have taken Phoenix with you if you had known what was about to happen. But now, bound and gagged you glared at the attacker who snuck up so easily on you both. Who hit you while your back was turned and slung you over his shoulder like you were a sack of potatoes. The same asshole who played and talked so easily to your too trusting four-year old daughter... You sat watching on wondering if and when the others would take notice of your absence. How long had it been now? 10 minutes? Four hours? God time felt like an eternity yet moving so fast you couldn’t comprehend it. “Why is my momma tied up and bleedin'?” Phoenix asked timidly, her voice dripping with a fear that broke through your thoughts and brought you back to reality. A bead of sweat dripped down your face mixing with the blood from your fresh wounds that stung the cut as you watched her with worried eyes. “Because…” the man muttered, pulling Phoenix’s attention back towards himself as he handed her a fully clothed Barbie with matted blonde hair. It was a toy she refused to part with after her father returned home with it several months ago. Poor Barbie somehow managed to end up naked with no hopes of getting dressed by herself or your daughter. It was always up to the adults to help her change the doll into her new more fashionable outfit Phoenix had stored in her pockets and backpack. Your captor… while patient with Phoenix, seemed to also be having fun at your expense. He was watching you intensely, grinning at the way your tears intermingled with the blood that flowed from the fresh wound at your temple. “You’re mommy doesn’t like to listen.” The man muttered standing to his full height. He was tall... taller than you had initially thought, putting to rest any ideas you had of simply taking him down from where you sat. He had a long scar covering the left side of his face that crawled down his throat and a tattoo of an anchor on his left calf. Walking around your daughter you watched him carefully as he glared hatefully into your eyes once he was hidden behind her back. “You see,” the man paused as if to think about his words, placing his hands on either one of Phoenix's shoulders before speaking again. “I really needed to know something important. But your mommy doesn’t want to talk. She tried to hurt me.” The man growled indicating to his limp and stab wound he bore in his right thigh that just missed his artery. Lucky bastard got off easy. “So…” the man muttered, pulling his pistol from his hostler he pointed the gun at the back of Phoenix’s head. “I thought a time out after a real long walk would help mommy want to talk. If not… there is always… incentive.”
The clicking of the hammer sent icy chills down your spine. Your eyes widened and it was as if time itself was at a standstill. Every dust particle that blew past your face, every leaf that tumbled in the wind, every hair that stuck to your skin, every bead of sweat that dripped from your face seemed to stop in time as you stared at the man holding the gun to your daughter's head. Phoenix was a ghostly pale color as she realized exactly what was going on. Her terrified gaze trained on you waiting for you to tell her what to do next. You could only hope that someone was nearby... that the unfamiliar area to you was only slightly off the beaten path of the normal route your husband took when out on a run and he would find you if no one else would. But the silence of the woods was deafening. Swallowing the thick lump in your throat you shook your head, letting the fat tears you were holding back fall to your thighs. "Awe come on now darlin'." God you hated the way that word fell so easily out of that bastard's mouth. "Don't cry over something that ain't happened yet. You can prevent this. Just think long and hard about how many people you got in your camp... How many people ya love there... Ya don't want them to get hurt. So when I come over to ya and remove your gag. I want ya to tell me just what all you got in your camp. How many weapons and bullets. How many people. How much food... water. And tell me the truth... Because if you lie... trust me... we'll find out about it." You nodded in compliance, the sick feeling of fearful shivers coursing through your body making you feel weak. As the man stepped towards you, the barrel of his gun remained trained on Phoenix's head. "Don't worry sweetheart. Just keep playin' with yer dolls." He muttered, softly turning his attention to you as he pulled the coarse material from your mouth. "Now talk." You wanted to scream... to fight back. To break the bonds that held you like the superhero your daughter believed you were and defeat the evil that currently held you. But you knew better. Any retaliation would result in her death. He had the advantage. So you lied. Strategically. "W-we don't have much..." You muttered, your voice gruff and cracking due to fear and thirst. "Well I want to know about what you do have not what you don't." The man growled. You nodded glancing at your daughter before continuing. "We have about eight people... and maybe a gun for each person..." You lied straight through your teeth. The prison was well fortified with weapons Rick and the others had found before the fall of Woodbury. There were lots of people now too. A whole community. Phoenix's uncle Merle. Her father, Daryl. Everyone you cared about. You weren't about to sacrifice them all when you had a chance to outwit this guy... And the man seemed to buy it. Nodding along with every word. "So only eight people and eight guns to clear out the entire prison?" He asked seriously. You shook your head no. Another lie. "No. We have just been living in one of the smaller cell blocks. It was too difficult to clear anything more. Too many walkers." The man hummed looking from you to the ground in thought as if he was considering your words carefully. "Alright... tell your people we want six of your weapons." He growled turning the barrel of his gun on you now. "We'll let you have two for self defense... living in a prison must be dangerous especially with a little one." He muttered looking back at Phoenix with a soft gaze. Stepping around you, the man pulled out a knife and cut the bonds that held your hands. Your wrists were red and raw as you held them in front of yourself, rubbing them gingerly. "Luckily for you, you won't need to worry about her tonight." The man's words cut deep and sent another wave of sick fear through you. Looking up you watched as he held a hand out to your daughter who looked frozen in place. "Come on sweetie. It's time to pack up and go. Mommy has business to attend to. She'll come get you in the morning. We get to have a sleep over."
It was instinctual. You moved to fast to your feet and stumbled, your body too weak from the blow it had taken earlier and your blood not ready to pump so fast. It made your vison falter and fade, darkening as if you were about to pass out. Pain. Pain was all you felt after the shockingly loud bang of the gunshot. Pain that radiated through your left leg and up into your core. Pain that was all consuming and powerful. You didn't even realize you were screaming until the ringing in your ears had subsided. "I really didn't want you to do that..." The man growled stepping up to where you laid, holding tightly to Phoenix's wrist as she tugged hard to get away. "But I guess we can say we're kind of even now... right?" He hissed pulling your daughter, your world out of sight, her screams echoing in your tired mind as your vison went in and out of focus until suddenly you were seeing and hearing nothing at all. Visons of your life played on repeat in your mind like flashes in a movie theater. Your first ever memory. Your favorite memory with a sibling. Your first pet. The first time you met your husband Daryl as a young teen in high school. Skipping behind the bleachers with him during prep rallies and school assemblies just to talk and share things with each other you couldn't with anyone else... which eventually evolved into sweet secretive kisses. The first time you touched each other sensually. The night he proposed under the light of the full moon near the lake you both more time at than your homes. The day you both eloped deciding that traditional marriage was too... well traditional for you both. The day you told him you were pregnant and the day you both realized how scared of the future you both were. The day you told Merle and the way your husband's brother's face lit up as he touched your tummy and felt Phoenix kick against his hand. The day you gave birth. The moment everything changed and you realized that you hadn't known real fear until the turn. Blinking awake you winced at the pain that still ebbed through your entire body. You had so much to live for. So much to fight for... You didn't know how long you were out but you refused to let yourself give up there. Crawling to your feet you stood on shaky legs and began to stumble in the direction of where you believed the road could be. The sun was falling low in the sky and you knew darkness would soon follow. You only hoped Daryl would be home when you got there.
Hours passed before you ever reached a paved road that looked vaguely familiar. But you were sure to use your knife to carve symbols on trees that you passed so that you could get back to the spot you were at when you left to make the trade the next morning. Trade... God the word made you sick and brought a vile taste to your mouth. Trade was a word for goods and services... not humans and children... The sky had just turned dark and the moon had risen in the sky by the time you reached the prison gates. The walkers that had piled up were taken care of in the beginning of the night so as you approached you simply waited for whoever was on duty to open the gates. It didn't take long for Carl to come running over. "[Y/N]!" He screamed pulling the chain with a small grunt letting you quite literally tumble into the prison grounds with a soft whine. You felt his warm hands on your shoulders then heard the boy curse for the first time. You wanted to laugh but the pain was simply overwhelming. "[Y/N] where's Phoenix?" He asked panic dripping from his voice. But you could only sob. "I- Daryl." You got out. "I need Daryl." You gasped, trying to stand as a disheveled Glenn and Maggie came sprinting from the guard tower. "Jesus what happened?!" Maggie screamed rushing to your side. Carl shook his head. "Don't know... I'm going to get Hershel and my dad." He muttered sprinting off to the prison door. "Where's Daryl? I need Daryl." You whined, doubling over on yourself and falling to your knees as you tried to walk up the steep incline to the prison. "[Y/N]! Please be careful!" Maggie cried trying to assess your wounds. "Daryl? He's inside right now, I can get him for you if you need me too." Glenn offered and with a small nod he sprinted up the hill.
Daryl's POV~~~
It was quiet inside the prison. Eerily so. Daryl couldn't get a wink of sleep without you and Phoenix by his side. So instead he focused on sharpening the points of his arrows as he sat on the mattress he shared with you and your daughter up in the loft. Merle perched himself on the top step leaning on the railing. He seemed busy sharpening his own knife but Daryl knew better. He knew Merle was keeping an eye on him. Making sure he was ok with you gone, with you missing for so long. "So ya say this place has a stocked kitchen?" Merle asked softly, adjusting the way his right foot rested against the opposite railway. Daryl hummed providing a swift nod in response. "Think that wife of yours will make us hotcakes like she used to when she gets back?" Daryl blinked looking up at Merle's shit eating grin. Shaking his head he couldn't help but chuckle. He knew Merle was joking but he could still tell Merle was worried about you. "I'm sure if you ask nicely she will." Daryl muttered, placing his arrow back in it's quiver. Merle nodded smiling brightly at Daryl. "Good... I missed havin' hotcakes."
The loud unexpected bang of the front door to the prison slamming open shook Daryl into action. Jumping to the edge of the loft he peered down at Carl who was trying to catch his breath. Walking through the hall of the prison he adjusted his hat on his head as he stuck his head in his dad's cell and a few words were uttered which Daryl couldn't quite catch. As Carl got closer now with Judith in his arms Daryl leaned down catching out of the corner of his eye as Merle hoisted himself up to stand along side him. He watched Carl pop into Hershel and Beth's cell and he thought... for a moment he was dropping the tike off for a while as he and Rick went to deal with something... but as Rick stepped out of the cell and bolted out of the prison and Carl followed suite with Hershel hot on his heels, Daryl got a sick uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. Jogging down the steps of the loft, he heard Merle huff but knew he wouldn't say much in protest. Not when it was you and Phoenix out there... not when so much was at stake. Glenn met him at the bottom of the steps, a grim expression and blood covering his hands. "Daryl..." He muttered softly. Dread filled Daryl's soul as he shook his head. "Hey... Let me go first..." Merle muttered softly, placing his hand on Daryl's shoulder. In a strange way it was grounding to know Merle was there. To know that if... if what he thought could possibly be outside Merle would handle it. Because Daryl knew deep in his soul he couldn't do it. He wasn't Rick... He couldn't handle it alone. As Glenn glared at his older brother something snapped inside himself. "He doesn't need you, Merle." Glenn hissed. Merle huffed but backed off like a dog scolded. "Hey! Don't fuckin' tell him nothin'!" Daryl growled stepping into Glenn's face. He knew he was in the wrong. He knew he was out of line. But his emotions were high. He'd ask for forgiveness later. Letting Merle skirt past him he kept his face as stoic as he could hold it as he walked passed Glenn and he followed his elder brother out into the yard to face his fear. Light shined down on Hershel and Rick as they examined the crumpled body of a woman laying in the yard. Beaten... battered... bleeding and broken... With no child... no Phoenix. Daryl wanted to scream. To cry. To break. Not his little girl... not his Phoenix. Not their baby... Not when he fought so hard to get them here. Not after everything he's seen. Not after Sophia... He couldn't loose her. He felt himself freeze for a moment. Hoping... praying that maybe if it happened if she was bit, you took care of it. He couldn't do it. But as you screamed out the doctor pulling a bloody rag from your leg he knew now wasn't the time to freeze or break down. [Y/N] needed him. His fucking wife needed him right fucking now. Daryl ran to your side as fast as he could his heart shattering as he every whimper and scream you uttered.
Your POV~~~~
You watched as Maggie poured some of the water from her canteen onto an old rag she held. Gently she swiped the now dried blood from your face before ushering you to lay flat in the grass. "I need ta look at your leg." She said softly, lifting your leg onto her own folded ones as she sat cross legged. Her fingers skimmed the underside of your thigh and with a sigh she shook her head as Rick came into view. "How is she?" He asked kneeling beside you he lit an oil lamp that was much too bright for the headache you didn't realize you had until now. Maggie shook her head but didn't say a word simply holding pressure to your leg as looked over other parts of your bruised body. "Rick..." You tried to talk but he shushed you placing a cool wet cloth across your forehead and his knees under your head. "Just rest..." He whispered softly, his fingers rubbing circles into your temples and easing the migraine. Although he looked around, the question was never asked of where Phoenix was and it killed you. Carl and Hershel were by your side before you knew it, Merle and Daryl not far behind. Like the blink of an eye and you had to wonder if you passed out or if they really were just fast. You couldn't hold back your emotions anymore at the sight of your husband. He looked like he was holding on by a thread. "Good evening [Y/N]." Hershel muttered, squeezing your free hand softly, letting Daryl take it from him as your husband took his place beside Rick. "How is she?" Hershel asked Maggie as he slowly knelt to the ground beside you. God that question was really starting to get old... Maggie shook her head once more. "She's got a lot of superficial cuts and nicks. But she was shot in the leg... it's still bleeding and didn't go the whole way through." She said confidently. "Holy... who the fuck shot ya?" Merle growled. You couldn't see him from over everyone else's head's but from the sound of it, he was pacing in frustration. A Dixon trait. "I-I don't know." You said softly finally letting the tears fall and sobs let loose. Covering your face with your arm you let yourself sob openly. "[Y/N]. You need to calm down." Maggie instructed pressing down on your leg harder to stop the flow of new blood. You could feel Daryl squeezing your hand and leaving soft wet kisses as his own tears met the back of your hand with fears that went unsaid. "Daryl I-I'm so sorry." You managed to whisper, pulling back your arm to meet his blue eyes. You felt your husband tense in your grasp but kept speaking. You had to let him know... "He took her. He took her before I could do anything-" Rick shuffled beneath you and you watched as he and Daryl shared a look. "He? What do ya mean he? The Governor?" Merle asked in rapid fire succession. You softly shook your head. "No... I- I don't know. He came at us from behind. Says he's in a group but I didn't get a name from him... I don't think their big. And I don't think they know about the prison." You said looking up at Rick. "He wanted to know about what we had. What weaponry... food... people." Meeting Daryl's worried eyes you continued. "He never hurt Phoenix. Not that I could see... He's using her as a bargaining chip. He wants six guns, I told him we only had eight. So he said we can keep two. He wants to... trade for her at the same spot he held her and I today." Daryl seemed to relax only slightly, taking a deep breath he leaned close to you, kissing your forehead gently and caressing your cheek softly. "Ya did good, Sunshine. Ya got home. Now let me take care of bringin' our baby home." His breath was but a whisper on your skin but it felt so soft and comforting all the same.
Hershel sighed pulling his kit closer to himself. "Do you think it hit bone?" He asked seriously. "Maybe." Maggie hummed moving her body up to take your hand down. "Ok. [Y/N]. I'm not gonna lie... this is gonna hurt like the dickens." Hershel muttered, lifting a pair of long and thin clamps. Handing a piece of leather to Maggie he sighed. "Put it in her mouth so she doesn't break her teeth." He murmured, pulling out a small metal dish to put the pieces of the bullet into. You had thought childbirth was bad. It was. But maybe only marginally worse than this. Hershel poured alcohol into the bullet wound to clean it out, fishing little bits of debris he found with the extra long clamps. You had thought when it all began that there would be a few pieces of bullet shrapnel in your leg. But now you understood that there was dirt, wood, and grass from your hike as well as the shrapnel. Worst of all the shrapnel refused to simply be pulled away from your wound, being melded with you either in your bone and having to be picked out one by one, or was so deep that Hershel nicked nerve every time he moved. You screamed and begged for a break, tears streaming down your face but he couldn't stop and risk loosing a piece in you, risk giving you lead poisoning, a lethal infection, or allow the metals in the bullet to seep in and give you cancer over time. As the moon rose to its position to it's peak in the sky, Hershel pulled the last piece of metal, holding it high in the air. "Ah... there it is." He said loudly to the relief of your family who had gathered. Maggie wiped the sweat that gathered on your brow. Rick, Daryl, and Merle had long since left your side. They hadn't strayed far. Just a few feet away to talk in peace about what you could only assume was the fate of Phoenix. Rick was looking forlornly at you as Carl, Glenn and Maggie all did their best to hoist you to your feet without making you sick.
Wrapping an arm around Glenn's shoulder's you pointed to your husband's direction. "I need ta talk to them before we go in." You muttered. Slowly the two of you made your way over to the group of men. Daryl was the first to turn to you both taking you from Glenn's arms into his own he hoisted you princess style despite your protests that you could in fact stand. "Bull shit... shouldn't be walkin' on that leg." He muttered laying a kiss on your temple. "[Y/N]." Rick said softly stepping forward. "We need ta know where ya were at when he attacked you... and where he took ya." You nodded and pointed in the direction of the elderberry grove you had been foraging earlier. "He attacked me over next to the creek in the elderberries." You stated watching as Rick grow serious and cock a brow. 'That's impossible... whoever was on guard duty should have seen you." He huffed, crossing his arms across his chest defensively. Staring back you shrugged. "Rick... I'm just telling you what happened. I don't know who all was on duty today but they didn't see us. So maybe that's a blind spot we didn't know existed until now or-" Rick shook his head glaring at no one in particular. "It's not a blind spot I can see that area on duty all the time..." You tilted your head, repositioning your hold on your husband's shoulders. "So what are you saying Rick?" You asked not trying to piss off the ex-cop further than you had to. Rick shrugged shaking his head, that wild faraway look coming back into his eyes. That one that just screamed that he wasn't all there. "I-I don't know... maybe someone in here is planning something with someone... out there." He hissed pointing exaggeratedly to the D Block then to the Elderberry bushes. Daryl shuffled you in his arms a worried look falling on his face as he looked between you and Merle who simply seemed far too understanding for the situation. "We ain't sain' that ain't a possibility... but [Y/N] said-" Daryl tried to explain once more. But Rick had shut down. It was clear in his eyes. "Hey! What we all need is rest... In the mornin' [Y/N] can lead us back to where ever we need ta be with six guns and a hell of a lot more with a group of us hidden in the bushes. Shit goes south we blow 'em away." Merle suggested. Rick sighed running a hand through his hair. "Yeah... lets just sleep on it and talk in the morning."
Daryl carried you slowly up the hill to the prison. The lamp and medical supplies were all cleaned by Maggie, Hershel, and Glenn. You made a mental note to thank them in the morning after you got Phoenix back. Merle walked side by side with Daryl. His gaze was firmly on your wounded form, scanning you for anything the doctor and his daughter could have missed. "Ya know this doesn't excuse you from makin' Daryl, Nix and I hotcakes right?" He teased smirking at you. The rumble in Daryl's chest was contagious as you both laughed, pressing your face into his neck. "Damn, Merle... you're right... if we make a pit stop on the way home tomorrow from picking Phoenix up, I'll even make elderberry hotcakes. How's that sound?" Merle smiled so contently and you couldn't blame him. Even though you knew this conversation was all a joke... that you didn't really have all the ingredients for your famous hotcakes... it was nice to pretend for a moment that in the midst of hell there was a moment of normalcy. "I think we can make that happen, little sister." Merle hummed reaching over with his good hand to squeeze your shoulder lightly.
The three of you stopped outside of the door to the prison, Daryl leaned against the concrete walls having placed you down, for the moment to smoke a cigarette before going in. He placed you gently in between his legs as he leaned against the brick wall of the prison, letting you lean your body against his own. You almost felt like you were highschoolers again... almost. Daryl combed through your hair with his free hand glancing down at your injured leg once in a while to make sure you were keeping it propped or up as he instructed. The smell of his cigarette wafted in the wind as he took a shaky breath listening to the first birds of early dawn sing their songs. Merle however. Merle paced back and forth out of sight of the metal door. He looked agitated and anxious. "Daryl I'm telling you..." He muttered, his voice a mere whisper. "I think Rick is to blame for this." You shifted uncomfortably against your husband's chest, not really appreciating the outfield accusation. But you had your suspicions too. Daryl however... Daryl was silent. The hand that was combing through your hair moved to wrap protectively around your waist, pulling you tight to his chest. There was a tenseness you could feel in his actions. He trusted Rick and was still loyal to him. And you knew he didn't want to risk that trust and loyalty for anything... but that was his little girl out there... not Judith or Carl. Not that it would have changed things if it were... for Daryl. As if on instinct Daryl caressed your tummy with his thumb missing the baby that was once there. You felt him shift nervously behind you pulling your body with him so that you didn't fall. "Dunno..." Daryl muttered finally taking an extra long drag of his cigarette. "Think it's horse shit that we aint out there right now lookin' fer her though." Daryl growled. Merle sighed running his hand through his thinning hair. "Nix can kick some ass if she needs... she's strong like her daddy and momma. She can make it through the night." He muttered holding his prosthetic out in the moonlight. "And if there's a single scratch on that girl I swear none of them men will have any balls left to show for it..." Nodding you glared hatefully at the elderberry bushes as if they had done you wrong themselves. "I think we should ride out once light breaks and try to get a leg up on the situation..." You muttered. You could feel the low rumble in Daryl's chest as he hummed lovingly squeezing you before laying a sweet kiss to the top of your head then your lips. "Nah... You're gonna stay here, sunshine. Get yer rest. We'll need ya later in the day." The taste of his his cigarette permeated the kiss. But you didn't mind... you never did. "That bein' said..." He muttered, flicking his cigarette off to the side before hoisting you into his arms once more. "Lets get you to bed."
Daryl had been kind enough to carry you to the shower room to help clean you up and with a little assistance he helped you take a shower, being sure to keep your new sutures and gunshot wound as dry as he physically could as the two of you bathed together. As weird as it was... it was oddly romantic standing in the prison shower stall alone together with Daryl. The full moonlight cascading on both of your wet bodies detailing every detail of each of you. Even in the darkness of the night you could clearly see the shampoo suds sliding from the top of Daryl's crown, down his toned body as he rinsed his head under the water, letting you hold the button down to release more hot water for him. He softly massaged your back with one of the many clean washcloths and helped to clean your body of any dry blood that Maggie may have missed, being extra delicate when touching upon one of your wounds. "Damn, baby." His whispered voice echoed through the large bathroom. "Bastard really clocked you good." Daryl hummed softly, worry dripping into every word as he massaged shampoo into your own hair, being extra gentle with the newly formed knot that he found that made you hiss and pull away. His worried blue eyes followed you as you leaned back to rinse your hair in the stream of water. "It'll heal." You muttered softly closing your eyes to keep the suds from falling into your eyes. The feeling of his fingers intertwining with your hair relaxed you under the stream of the water. The scratching of his nails on your scalp was welcome and inviting on a day like today. "Tell me if I hurt ya." He muttered. He was always so sweet and soft with you. Sitting up when your hair ran clear you wrapped your arms around Daryl's neck and shoulders kissing him fully, lovingly, completely. Pulling you into his lap Daryl deepened the kiss. Sliding your uninjured leg across his body you straddled his hips getting comfortable with him between your legs. Kissing down the length of your neck Daryl left sweet possessive hickies, his hands traveling from your waist to your back before landing on your chest. You don't know if it was because another man had laid hands on you, if it was a distraction from the fact Phoenix was still out there, or if it was because you were hurt. But Daryl had never been more gentle with you in your relationship when it came to sex before. Bouncing you gently he insisted that you allow him to do most of the work, his breathing hitched as you clenched around him when he found your most sensitive parts. Holding you close to his chest he let your foreheads rest against one another's as you rocked against him, your nails digging into his shoulders as your moans echoed across the bathroom walls. Even as your emotions overflowed and tears fell during, Daryl wiped them away with calloused thumbs, taking the time to insure that you were ok before he continued, kissing your shoulders, your neck, your cheek just to let you know how loved you were and that everything would be ok. His fingers ghosted across your skin feeling the goose pimples that rose there, letting you scratch his biceps as you reached your climax, watching as your head lulled and fell into his shoulder to hide your screams of pleasure only allowing himself to finish inside you once he was certain you had finished yours.
You had thought after having the day you just had, having to take two showers and having mind blowing sex you would have fallen to sleep immediately. But that was the farthest from the truth. That night was the longest of your life. Neither of you slept a single wink. Instead when Daryl laid you down in your shared loft bed, fully clothed and mostly dried you two simply stared at the window. Holding each other as tight as the other could stand you both angled yourselves to watch the sunrise literally counting the minutes until you both could run out in search of your daughter. Daryl's finger's skated along your back and through your hair as yours traveled the length of his chest and abs. "Do you remember when we took Phoenix to the pool for the first time?" Daryl suddenly asked. Looking up into his eyes you noticed they looked far away and distant. You nodded smiling as you allowed yourself to lay your head on your husband's chest. "Yeah. She was so perplexed by her little swimsuit and swimming diaper." You giggled thinking about how when Merle held her for the picture she peed all over him. "Yeah... we put her little feet in the pool and she screamed so loud I thought for sure the chemicals had burned her." Daryl chuckled his hand now combing through your wet hair. "She was always a little drama llama." You giggled kissing Daryl's chest. "Yeah... but once we put her in her Minnie Mouse floaties she took off and no one could catch her... she lived in the water." Daryl laughed, physically having to cover his mouth to stifle the laugh and keep from waking the others. You nodded feeling a sick unidentifiable dread fill your chest as you wrapped your arms around him. Tears slipped down your cheeks and although you tried your damnedest to keep it down a sob escaped your lips. "Yeah... she always loved to swim." You hiccupped through the sobs. Daryl was silent, but the way his body shook you could tell he was crying too. "We'll make a pool here... so she can swim here one day..." Daryl huffed out through a strangled sob and you couldn't help but curl tighter into his chest, burying your face in his shirt. Bawling harder than you can remember you grasped at his shirt gasping his shirt you tried to keep silent, and for the most part you were successful. Even when Daryl urged you to cry openly, to fuck them all and their sleep. But it was your sleep that won over in the end after all of your emotions drained you dry.
The sun was high in the sky when you woke and instantly you wanted to throw up with fear and anxiety. Jolting out of bed you cried out in pain, nearly falling down the stairs, catching yourself on the rail with a clash. "[Y/N]?!" Carol cried out rushing up the stairs to help you down. Tears rolled down your cheeks as sobs ripped through you. "Where's Daryl? Did they-" You tried asking but Carol cut you off pulling you into a tight hug once she got you down the stairs. "He's outside. They didn't leave yet... He just wanted you to get your rest before you all went out later." You nodded resting back against the wall. "I know you may not feel hungry... but you should eat." Carol muttered sliding a bowl of oatmeal in your direction. To be honest just looking at the food made you feel sick. But as you picked up the spoon with a shaky hand and took a bite you suddenly realized just how hungry you were. Pulling the plastic bowl closer you took large bites. "Thank you. I didn't realize I was hungry." You muttered once you had finished the entire bowl. Carol nodded smiling somberly. "I... felt similarly when Soph was missing." She confided leave it at that you didn't dare pry or let yourself dwell of any possibilities too much. The sliding of the metal door drew your attention away from dark and depressing as Daryl and Merle stepped in. "Good. Sleeping beauty is awake." Merle teased winking at you. Daryl rolled his eyes and sighed walking over to lift you into his arms. "Ya ready, sunshine?" he asked. With an uncertain nod he carried you outside. Daryl sat you in the passenger seat of the car as everyone grouped up to chat. "So are you sure he said to meet for this time?" Hershel asked you, pointing to the sky you had indicated when telling them earlier. The question merely made you doubt yourself and the placement the sun was in the sky when you were attacked. But you nodded and pointed to where it was based on what you could see before you passed out. "Alright..." Rick muttered running his hands through his hair. "We got an hour before we gotta be there... [Y/N] said she marked the trail. We look for the marks on the side of the road and go from there." Rick muttered watching Glenn and Carl pack the six "guns" into the car for transfer. "Daryl you ride with [Y/N], Merle, and Glenn to the trade site. Carl, Hershel, Carol, Maggie, and I will be in another car parked on the road we'll watch you all enter the trade site and make sure there are no unwanted followers. Maggie and Carol will follow first to set up. I will be close behind Hershel and Carl will stay in the car as back up in case we need them... Make sense?" He asked looking between everyone making eye contact before nodding sternly. "Alright... lets get Phoenix back.
The ride to the place you were held was absolute hell. Merle would not leave Glenn alone. Glenn would not stop fanning the flames and making Merle want to tease and pick more. Every time you yelled at either one of them you felt like the bad guy. You felt like the mom to two rowdy teens on a long road trip... except you couldn't threaten to turn this car around. No this road trip was too important. As you pulled up to the first of your visible markings you pointed it out to Daryl then reached out the window with your indicator flag you all made out of a florescent orange hunting vest and waved it once to indicate this was the spot. Daryl pulled to the side of the road. The trail was too small for the car to go down, Loading up with as many guns as they each could hold you lead them down the makeshift trail you created. It was so much shorter than you remembered, but the blood from the day before still laid in the field, unchanged and unmoved. Standing at one end of the field you began to feel antsy as you watched the sky. Ten minutes... glancing around you didn't see anything. Not a person scouting the area before hand. Not an animal peeking through the brush. The silence was palpable. Taking Daryls hand in your own you kept your wits about you. You didn't want to seem too vulnerable with Phoenix's captors... but you neither of you could do this alone. Looking up at the sky they were now officially late. You stood stock still. Listening for any sign of movement. Had you gotten the place wrong? The time? Anxiety washed over you as the silence continued to prevail only interupted by the small snapping of twigs as Rick settled in his place nearby. There were now twenty minutes late... despite Glenn's constant pleas to stay optimistic. "Maybe they hit traffic... or they had an emergency." You never felt more nervous and sick in your life. The bickering between Merle and Glenn slowly but surely started once more and the tenseness that your husband held in his body the night before slowly returned. Twenty minutes turned to thirty which turned to fifty as Carl came out to find his dad. You had gone to the corner of the field and vomited twice in this time and were just starting to begin to give up hope when an hour and a half rolled around. "Maybe... we should come up with a plan B..." Rick's voice tore through the silence and through your emotions. Taking what felt like the first breath since you arrived you began to hyperventilate shaking your head. "N-No..." you whispered running your hands through your hair. You had seen enough 48 hours before to know you didn't have time to come up with another plan... This was your plan...
Just as you felt you might melt into oblivion a sudden loud crash through the brush caught everyone's attention. Within a second everyone had their weapon's drawn and pointed at the noise. The brush on the side where the man was to bring Phoenix shook and swayed. "Come out slowly and we won't shoot!" Rick ordered cocking his pistol. The bush suddenly stopped shaking and a small whimper came from within it. "Wait. I'm stuck Uncle Rick." You thought for a moment, you were going to pass out. Lowering your gun you holstered it limping forward. "Phoenix?!" You cried out desperately. "I'm here momma!" She cried stumbling out of the briars with a little whimper. To your horror and awe, Phoenix was covered in blood. Standing midway in the field you stared at your little girl. Her body painted in blood. Slowly she looked up at you, her blue eyes meeting yours as a twisted grin reached her face. "I used the knife daddy gave me." She said proudly holding out the small pocket knife Daryl had given her to use in dire emergencies. "I used it just like Aunt Carol taught me and I remembered how to get here... I was hoping you'd still be here!" She squealed happily running up to you. The horrific realization that, your daughter had most likely killed men and faced the undead hit you like a brick in the stomach. But as you knelt down in the dry puddle of your own blood swiping away any of the blood that was still damp looking for wounds, scratches and bites. "Did you make sure they wouldn't come back?" You asked seriously, hiding your shaking hands behind her back as you pulled her close to you, holding her close catching Daryl out of the corner of your eye as he moved to kneel beside you both. Your husband's own face was ashen pale as if he himself had seen a ghost. "I did. I stuck them in the head just like aunt Carol said to." Phoenix said handing her little knife over to Daryl to close before hugging him tightly. "Aren't ya proud of me daddy?" She asked excitedly. You watched as Daryl's face morphed from disbelief to stunned shock, rageful hate filled anger at the world for making his little girl experience this, before it landed on acceptance... at least for now. "O-Of course I am baby girl... so, so proud of you. But, I don't want ya to have do this again unless-" She nodded pulling away with a smile. "It's an emergency. I know." She said. "Can we go home now? I feel sticky."
It had been two days since the incident... Daryl refused to go out on runs certain his family wasn't safe unless he was there despite Merle's promise's to keep you and Phoenix safe. You currently sat outside in the courtyard with Carl, Judith, Phoenix and Merle listening to Daryl and Rick's fight. "My daughter had to learn how to put people down damn it!" Your husband screamed. You could hear both Carol and Rick muttering something to him but... Daryl wanted to hear none of it. "I don't give a shit that you were trainin' them Carol!" He bellowed pulling Merle's attention. "Ain't never seen him so pissed." Merle sighed tinkering with his blade. "I did..." You replied, glancing at your brother-in-law. "The day we lost you. He nearly killed Rick then." Merle blinked seeming to think on this as if it were the first time he ever imagined that possibility. "What we should be focusing on is that whoever was on watch didn't see the whole fucking attack that happened just over the god damned gate!" You heard something metal clang against the concrete floor, only assuming that Daryl had resorted to pitching things or clearing the tables with a single swipe. "Sounds like he's about ready to do it again..." Merle joked, swiping a stray piece of hair from your daughter's face. You sighed looking longingly at Phoenix. "We were lucky... I think Daryl realizes that. But the chances of us being lucky again. They're slim Merle." You hummed meeting his gaze. He nodded meeting your gaze from the corner of his eyes. "I know." There was another loud crash that made all of you jump an Judith to cry out. Carl was quick to pick her up and start soothing her. He was best at it, and despite the shit he gave you all, he still was a kid at heart. "Damn it Daryl!" Rick finally yelled back. "I get you're pissed! I do! But throwin' shit around ain't gonna fix the problem!" With a sigh you slowly stood. "I better go stop Daryl before he really looses it." You sigh.
You could hear the fight more clearly as you painfully climbed the hill to the prison block. "Ya can't know there's not more out there Rick! I want to be sure there's no one out there right now lookin' for us." Daryl hissed. Rick sighed nodding. "We can look while we're out on runs but we need you for that Daryl." Your husband shook his head, pacing back and forth. "Nah... not til I know who was on watch when they went missin'. I want to know they can't go on watch no more." Rick shuffled his feet and shook his head. "Look we need all the help we can get..." Daryl seemed to only get more aggravated at that growling before flipping a metal chair... or another chair... you found the reason of the last major crash. Looks like the first chair went through some old wooden creates the prison had. "Bull shit!" Daryl growled pointing at Rick. "Tell me it wasn't you then... you said there's no blind spots there so tell me why it wouldn't be you." He accused walking over to where Rick stood. You watched in horror as Daryl got in Rick's face just like he was in high school itching for a fight. "Guys!" You screamed limping over to the two, catching their attention just before they threw fists. "That's enough!" Daryl huffed backing off but not down. "Well?" He hissed. Rick seemed to be juggling his words carefully before he nodded. "I-I was on duty when it happened..." He admitted. "But I don't remember it at all." You sighed frowning deeply. It was as you feared. "Rick... could you have been on the other side of the prison?" Rick shook his head as Daryl paced back and forth running his hands through his hair a new wave of axiety rushing through him. "So anything could have gotten through or been peeking in while you had an episode?" He growled. Rick sighed obviously frustrated with the way the question was worded so you rephrased it. "So you just go blank for a little while... or is it like something else?" You asked seriously. Rick relaxed a bit. "It's not as bad as when I was... seeing her all the time... I still do... but it's different. I-It's hard to explain." You nodded looking to Daryl. "Maybe we should delegate the patrol duty for a little while... train the newbies? And you can... take a break." You suggested. Hershel nodded, picking up one of the chairs Daryl threw. "You'll still be head just... with less to do." He murmured. Rick sighed. "I always wanted to farm..."
A few hours passed by. You couldn't seem to keep your eyes off of Phoenix. It was still so miraculous to you that she made it back to you at all. That she defied all odds and made it home. You wondered what fresh hell she went through then decided that maybe it was better if you didn't know for now... she would tell you in her own time. Daryl was laying beside her in the bed. You both watched her little sleeping form as if she were the newborn you both brought home from the hospital again. You rubbed sweet circles into her back before curling tight against the two of them. "Our baby is home Daryl." You whispered kissing his lips sweetly. Daryl nodded kissing your forehead. "Went through hell an' back again... but the little demon looks like she thrived there... she looks stronger for it. That normal?" You giggled softly and shrugged. "Dunno... I think so nowadays... Look at Carl." You teased loving the chuckle that tore from your husband's throat. "Yeah I suppose so..." He muttered, pulling you down for another kiss. "I love ya, sunshine. Get some rest."

Max was in the back room monitoring the security cameras. He kept an eye on one guy who seemed suspicious. He didn't want to jump to conclusions before seeing any evidence of foul intentions. As he monitored him, he saw him stuff several store items into his jacket and zip it up. He had to teach this shoplifter a lesson. He told one his employees to keep an eye on him while he left to confront the guy.
The employee pointed to the guy when he got in the area of the store. He has had stuff go missing recently but was unable to catch the culprit. "I think you have something that belongs to us." He spoke to the guy, who seemed to brush off the accusation.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Larry replied back, trying to play it off. As long as they couldn't prove it, he could once again get away with stealing from the store. So far, they haven't caught him yet.
Max was not letting him get away with robbing them blind once more. "I saw you on the camera stuffing a few items in your jacket. You can either fess up or I call the police and show them footage from my security cameras." He paused as he decided to increase the pressure on him. "I think you have been the one doing the recent thefts in my store. I am sure my cameras can probably prove it if I look a little further." He finished. If the guy failed to submit, he would proceed with his threat for sure.
Larry didn't need to be arrested for shoplifting. He could call the store owners bluff, but that could land him into a lot of trouble with law enforcement. He didn't want that. He unzipped his jacket and handed the items to the store owner. "Happy now? Can I go?" He asked back, annoyed that he was caught.
Max had no intentions of letting the culprit just walk out his store without learning a valuable lesson. "Sure, just know I will report the other thefts, and report you as the suspect." He threatened to him.
Larry surely didn't want that to happen. He had to bargain with the store owner to keep law enforcement out of the situation. "What can I do to make this situation vanish? Do you want me to never come back into your store ever again?" He asked, wondering what he would request to keep the cops out of this mess.
Max smiled. "A weeks time helping me out here at the store and with other things would do." He offered to him. Max smiled because he knew exactly how the thief was going to help him, and it wasn't just in the store only.
"Okay, deal, just don't call the cops, okay." Larry agreed. He followed the store owner to the back as ordered. Once the door was closed, he saw him hold a strange device in his hands. "You time starts now." The store owner spoke as he fired a ray of light from the device. A few seconds later he lost consciousness and fell to the floor.
Max smiled happily as where the thief once stood was now a black pair of AND1 sneakers. One week's time under his feet should do it, he thought to himself as he took off his current shoes and put on the newly formed sneakers. They felt so good under on his feet. He should try more living inanimate objects more often, he thought.
Larry suddenly awoke to a slightly foul odor. He tried to get away from it but found himself completely unable to move on his own. He also felt himself wrapped around something that was causing him an intense measure of pain. He finally figured it out when he felt toes wiggling on his face. The foul smell was in fact the vinegar smell of sweaty socks. The pressure he felt was feet standing on and crushing his insole face. He was literally a pair of shoes. He knew exactly whose feet was wearing him, the store owner. He wanted to curse the guy out, but now all he wanted to do was be normal again. He didn't want to be footwear. Just standing still was very uncomfortable for him as sneakers. All of the store owner's weight bearing down on him, along with foot odor and sweat. He mentally pleaded for this to be some crazy dream, but it was his reality. A week's time as sneakers, he thought his mind might not survive it.
As Max continued to work, he decided to the thief really needed to learn a lesson that would be permanent. Since he stole from him, he would steal his humanity from the thief. He would keep him as his sneakers and treat him as the object on his feet. No more humanity for the thief. At least this way, he won't have to worry about him stealing from his store ever again. The next thief he catches just might be a pair of socks. If living inanimate objects felt this good, he just might have to get more. As for how the thief would feel about being shoes for the rest of his life, he didn't care how the guy felt about it. Shoes don't have any rights anyway.

Studio days & Pumpkin Carving:
October fics!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I don’t like this, something doesn’t sound right” Jack threw his Bose headphones down.
He was growing more frustrated as time went on, feeling like this song would never be complete.
“Let me listen to it” you walked over to him holding you hand out for him to give you the headphones.
He felt defeated, he usually didn’t show you an unfinished product but he was out of options.
“Fuck it” he handed you the headphones, standing up so you could sit where he was previously seated.
You examined his face, he was pale except for then red skin creeping up his neck. He was frustrated and warm, pulling his long sleeves up to his elbows.
You picked up the pen he had lying on top of his scrap paper. Closing your eyes and listening to the lyrics.
“That bar does hit” You scribbled a few words down so he knew immediately what you were referring to.
“You think it’s that line? And not the sample?” His brow furrowed feeling slightly offended.
“The sample fits perfectly babe, just change that line. You can find something that flows better.” You rubbed his shoulders as you stood up for him to sit back down.
Nickie and Angel were both in the room, nodding along to your advice. They had truthfully thought the same thing but didn’t want to say it.
Jack motioned for them to play it one more time as he started rewriting the lyrics.
“It’s going to be a long night” Nicki mumbled as you turned to leave the studio.
Jack had been suffering from some severe writer's block lately, just feeling uneasy about things and second-guessing so you weren’t surprised by how he felt today.
You decided to plan a date night in for the two of you, leaving to pick up some things from the store.
You started by getting some pumpkins to carve and two pumpkin carving kits, quickly moving on to food and some decorations.
When you got back to the house, the guys were still in the studio so you took the time to set everything up in the living room.
Hours and hours had gone by, you checked on them periodically and even ordered everyone lunch but Jack was still stuck, now on another song.
At eight o’clock, you took it upon yourself to go into the studio.
“No, and that doesn’t sound right. We need to have more high-hats there” Jack pinched the bridge of his nose, releasing a heavy sigh.
Nickie and Angel both turned to you, silently giving you a wide-eyed look that screamed “Help us.”
“Jack, can I talk to you in the hallway for a second?” You cleared your throat, to get his attention.
He nodded, turning to the guys “five minutes.”
“What’s up?” You could tell his mind was elsewhere, even as he stood in front of you.
“Hey, look at me” You firmly grabbed his shoulders to get his attention.
His blue eyes traced the emotions on your face, realizing you seemed upset.
“What’s wrong baby?” His eyes softened at the sight of you.
“You need to call it a night” You reached out to rub on his beard.
“Baby! We- I’m- I have a few more changes to make and then I promise-“
Your look of disapproval made his stomach tighten, and form a lump in his throat.
“Tomorrow” you stood on your tip toes to kiss the tip of his nose.
“Tomorrow” he agreed walking back into the studio to tell the guys.
Once everyone was gone, he walked into the living room and realized you had decorated.
“What’s that smell?” He sniffed the air, before turning to you.
“I’m making a pumpkin pie and there’s soup on the stove boiling”’ you smiled.
“For me?” He couldn’t help but smile so much that his cheeks hurt. He held your hands swinging your arm back and forth playfully.
“You’ve been working so hard, and I feel like we need a good date night in.”
You pointed to the kitchen table, showing him the pumpkins you had picked out.
“Isn’t that cannibalism?”
“What?”
“We are going to eat pumpkin pie in front of these pumpkins” he tried to hold his laugh in, earning a playful roll of the eyes from you.
“Remember when we started dating we carved those mini pumpkins?” He laughed, snorting at the memory.
“We’re not going to talk about that” you giggled remembering how awful yours looked.
“It’s redemption time” he chuckled as he walked over to the pumpkins.
“I just hope our kids have your artistic skills and not mine.”
“Kids huh? With an “S?” He smirked, catching that subtle slip-up.
“Eight” you winked making him chuckle as he looked through the pumpkin carving design kit.

Jack leaned against the doorframe watching Miriam layer on clothes. She wore some sweats and a long coat; under her coat she had a thick cardigan, a crew neck sweater, a long sleeve and a tank top. She completed the outfit with a huge scarf that looked like a shawl from Acne Studios and a beanie. Meanwhile Jack wore his signature cargo pants with a puffer coat and only turtleneck underneath.
They were in London. Miriam was back at work. Jack took a few weeks off from working on his album after his work trip to Bahrain. He went to Louisville for a few days to and to work something out with a jeweler he knew. After that he flew back to London.
"Okay, I'm ready." Miriam said, dabbing some of her signature pomegranate lip balm on her lips.
"About time." Jack mumbled loud enough for her to hear.
She glared at him and slipped her phone in her coat's pocket. She also grabbed her house keys. Sha checked on Daisy one last time then came to the foyer. She walked out with Jack following close behind her and locked the door. They pair made their way to the front gate and she unlocked the door then relocked it.
They were on their way to get some fish and chips. One of Miriam's favorite spots was just a few blocks from where her parents had their house. They were going to walk since the neighbor was pretty chill and not that many people paid attention to others. Though for an extra measure of safety, their security was going to be tailing them in a SUV. As they walked down the street, in a British accent, Miriam gave Jack a quick tour of the neighborhood, pointing out a few of her favorite shops and even where she went for secondary school, middle school. Ten minutes later they finally reached the fish and chips place.
Jack reached forward and opened the door for them. Once inside he took in the place. It felt homey and vintage, like an Italian mom and pop. There were several posters of the family and the generations that contributed to the restaurant's legacy. On a separate wall was all the famous people ate from Harry and Meghan Markle to Mateo Dominguez. There was another picture of Miriam’s dad and she was with him. She had to be about twelve years old. Her curls were all over the place and her bright smile was hidden behind braces.
“Oh god they still have this up.” Miriam groaned seeing the picture Jack was looking at.
“I like it.” he said. “I would have definitely annoyed the shit outta you in class.”
“I would have requested to be removed from the class if you were in my class. I just know you would have messed with my expensive pens.” she bluntly.
“I knew a girl like that in high school. She gave me some of the best head at the time. Then I met you and you changed my life.” he smiled adoringly at her.
“You’re so annoying.” Miriam playfully rolled her eyes.
They took a table in the back. An older woman came by and she exchanged pleasantries with Miriam then she took their order. Miriam then explained that she’s known the older woman since she was a kid. There weren’t many stores that sold quality Mexican ingredients so it was rare for Mateo cooked for them. They mostly ate out and the fish and chips place was their go to 85% of the time.
It really hit Jack how differently they grew up. He’s never lived with one parent at one time; much less lived with them in an entirely different continent as his other parent or sibling. He’s always had his parents together. The love they shared for each other was something he always wanted for himself but he knew with the lifestyle he had now it wasn’t something he could find. What he had with Miriam was completely different from what his parents had, but it wasn’t a bad thing. He really was lucky to have found her. She’s changed how he viewed love and what it was like to be in love. He wanted to grow a life and a family with her.
“If we were to have kids where would–”
“Without a doubt Louisville.” Miriam answered, spreading butter on her bread.
“You’ve thought about it?” Jack smirked, uncapping his sparkling water.
“I mean…” she trailed off, shrugging. “But like not right now. Like we’re both so busy with work. You have that dropping in April and then White Men Can’t Jump in May. Awards season is starting for me not to mention I’m in the middle of filming. Then I have to promote the mini series with my mom for mothers day–”
“Bro, I’m not asking you to pop kids right now.” Jack cut her off. He reached for hand and gently squeezed it reassuringly. “We’re in our twenties. We have time to add to our family. I was just asking to make sure we’re on the same page.”
“Oh, okay.” she giggled nervously.
A server came by and set down their food.
Jack smiled to himself, watching Miriam as she used a fork and knife to cut her fish. He looked over at his plate and he was dipping his fried fish like how it came. Their mannerisms were so different, but Jack and Miriam always made it work. They complimented each other. He was nervous about asking her. But after almost two years he knew it was finally time.
*
After lunch they went and did some more sight-seeing. Jack had been to London a few times for work but he never had the chance to do any proper exploring with the packed schedule he had. He even rode on the ‘tube’ which he found out existed. They went back to Miriam’s home and made dinner with some of the things they bought. They were currently cleaning up and putting away leftovers.
“So… where do you really see yourself settling down after all this?” Miriam asked Jack as they finished cleaning the kitchen and dining room.
Ever since he casually mentioned them having kids during lunch. That’s all she’d been thinking about.
“Wherever you settle down.” He said, carefully placing the glass cups on the shelf she couldn’t reach.
“I’m being serious.” She giggled, pushing herself to sit up on the counter.
“So am I.” He said, leaning against the counter. He tugged her hand so she could pay attention to him. “Miriam, I’m not kidding. Where you go, I go. I don’t see myself with anyone else. Only you. You’re more than just my partner. You’re someone I see myself still keeping me on my toes by the time I’m 87 and some robot has to give me sponge baths. I see you at my side telling our grandkids that I fucking bagged a baddie. You’re the one I see myself waking up to every morning all bricked up. You got that?”
Miriam blinked away some tears. “Yeah, I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” He smiled.
Miriam stood on her tippy toes to kiss him but Jack curved her. “Okay, rude.”
“I don’t want to give your dad a show.” he said, looking into one of the many kitchen appliances. He opened a cupboard and peaked inside.
“I’m telling you he didn’t put cameras in the kitchen.” Miriam facepalmed herself.
“Then how did he know we fucked in here?” he gestured to the kitchen island.
“Because you don’t have a serious bone in your body and play around too much.” she shrugged. She scratched her head. “I’m gonna go take this shit off and come back so we can watch The Menu.”
For Poison Ivy, Miriam dyed her hair red. To conserve the mystery of the movie, she wore wigs that matched her natural dark curls.
Jack nodded and went to the entertainment room. He went around taking the various paintings decorating the walls. They were similar to the ones Miriam’s had in her houses and some her parents’ had in their LA home. In his humble opinion, the paintings represented rich people and their love for obscure art that had no business costing more than $100k. Some were abstract paintings; random paint swatches with figurines, mixed media glued on top for extraness while the others were scenic paintings of places Miriam's family has been to. Each painting was completely different to the one before but at the bottom right corner of each one was ‘MDM’ in gold pen. Miriam's initials.
"You paint?" Jack asked her when she came back to the room.
"Yeah when I'm bored." She shrugged.
Jack got distracted momentarily watching Miriam’s ass as she bent over the armrest of the couch to get a blanket from the basket of blankets. He blinked back to reality and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"Since when?"
"I don't know for a while I guess. I mainly started when I moved here. My dad did best to keep me busy. He would sign me up for a bunch of stuff. It's why I'm so well rounded." Miriam explained.
"And in all of those extra curricular activities, he didn't think of signing you up for dance classes–"
A pillow came flying at him, hitting his stomach. Jack dramatically fell to the ground like a pro soccer player and groaned in pain.
"You're not funny." Miriam deadpanned.
Jack rolled to his side, facing the tall shelf of DVDs and BluRay discs. At the bottom row were a bunch of white boxes with titles of musicals and plays hand written on the spine of the disc box.
“What are these–”
“Don’t touch those.” Miriam pounced on him.
Jack was faster than her and scrambled to his feet. He held up the disc in the air, way out of Miriam’s reach. He turned the box and in the front was a picture of Miriam on stage.
“So this is where you have your school plays. Your brother wanted to show me one of you when you were in fourth grade but he couldn’t find them.” he smiled.
Miriam ignored him as she tried her best to climb him. Thanks to her stunt work she was able to do it with ease and snatched the disc from him.
“So you’re a legit theater kid.” Jack teased.
“Not really.” she shrugged.
“Bro, there’s at least twenty boxes on the shelf.” His smirk grew even more.asit
“Whatever, so what if I did theater as a kid.” she crossed her arms.
Jack raised his arms defensively. “There’s not thing wrong with it. But it does explain…a lot.”
Miriam rolled her eyes and got on the couch. Jack put the disc back and joined her on the couch. Fifteen minutes into the movie, Miriam made him spoon her
Jack got a sense of deja vu as Miriam pressed her ass onto his crotch so she ‘wouldn't fall off’ the couch. It took him back to when she invited him to New York for a few days before her mom and he were on SNL. He couldn’t concentrate on the movie they watched. All he wanted to do was spend his time between her thighs. That was before they revealed their feelings and he was trying to be respectful. Now he had the privilege to not be respectful.
He pulled his arm off her waist and brought his fingers to his mouth, sucking them.
“Relax for me.” He whispered in her ear. He kissed her jaw.
He slowly inched his hand in her sleep shorts.
“So you can’t kiss me in the kitchen because of these alleged cameras but you can finger me in the tv room?” Miriam quirked an eyebrow.
“You don’t seem to mind.” Jack pointed out as he tugged off her now soaked panties.
Before she opened her mouth to make an unserious remark, her phone rang. She reached for it. Miriam made a face, confused why her mom was calling her so late.
“Bueno…” she said, pushing Jack off her.
“Baby, I’m so sorry you had to find out this way.”
*
There’s never a day where Jack isn’t impressed with something Miriam did. She was sitting in the shade with a paint kit she brought from London, painting away their beach view. They were currently in Turks and Caicos for a much needed break. Isabela had called Miriam to let her know that DC decided to scrap her movie so that the remaining budget could go to promoting The Flash. Miriam’s heart broke. She’d been working her ass off on the movie for almost four months and they had about eight weeks of filming left.
Jack didn’t know what to do, all he knew was that he had to get Miriam out of London. He got a recap from last year’s Turks and Caicos work trip and thought the beach was their safest bet. While Miriam went to set to clean out her trailer and sign off some final contracts, he made the arrangements. He was able to reserve the same airbnb he stayed with her last year. Then he booked a flight to New York where he flew out Clay to pick up Daisy so he could watch her while they were gone for the week. From New York they took a direct flight to  Providenciales. His team had a field day when they saw the airport pictures of them in landing in Turks andCaicos, but he didn’t care. His main priority was to distract Miriam from being sad because she was in her ‘unemployed era’. Her words, not Jack’s.
Miriam walked back to the terrace, where Jack was going over his lines. He had booked a part in Dave and when they got back to New York he was going to film a few scenes. She carefully set the canvas down and cleared her throat for Jack to see.
“Holy shit.” he said, impressed.
He stretched his hand out, but Miriam smacked it away from the painting. “It’s still wet.”
“You’re still wet?” he asked, with a smirk plastered.
“You’re not funny.” She looked at him unimpressed.
She went to the house and carefully set down the painting on the table to dry. She set her art tote with all her art supplies on a chair. While she was at it, she removed her shorts, staying in her bikini bottoms. She was sitting on the grass and wore them so her ass wouldn’t get itchy. Now that she wasn’t she didn’t see the point of wearing them. As she walked back to Jack, she unbuttoned the linen shirt, making it known to Jack she wasn’t wearing her bikini top. She sat opposite of Jack and read a book while he memorized his lines. She felt Jack’s eyes on her, as she stretched her arms. The shirt fell off her shoulders and her breasts were on full display. The tiny gold necklace Jack got her with the letter ‘M’ glinted as Miriam pretended to be engrossed in her book.
She watched Jack from the corner of her eye. He moved with cat-like movements, slowly inching his way to her. He reached for her book and laughed when he saw she was on the table of contents and not the actual book.
"You're not slick." He commented, putting the book face down.
Miriam untied one side of her bikini bottoms, exposing her arousal to him. "Are you sure?"
That was all he needed to hear. He scooped up Miriam, securing her legs around his waist and carried her back to the house. She squealed and hugged him tight as he ran upstairs to their room. He gently tossed her in bed and scrambled to get naked. He got on top of her and Miriam pulled his neck down to claim his lips.
With ease, she rolled him onto his back and slowly rubbed her folds over his cock. Jack groaned and reached up for her breasts. He cupped them with his large hands and used his thumb to play with her nipples. Miriam leaned forward and held Jack’s jaw as she kissed him. His hands were on her ass, guiding them along the length of his cock.
“Fuck!” he groaned.
He came seconds later while Miriam kept moving her hips. Jack’s stomach was coated with his release.
“Facetime doesn’t do this justice.” Miriam commented while drawing a heart with ‘MD+JH’ on his stomach. “Also I can’t believe all of this is inside me when you come inside me. How deep is my pussy? Do you think–”
“Marry me.” Jack blurted out.
“Okay I know I was rambling, but if you wanted to shut me off you–”
“I mean it.” He said more confidently. He sat up and rubbed her back. “Obviously I didn’t want to ask you after you dry humped me but it slipped out. You’ve been the one since I made you laugh at the soccer game. I meant it when I said I want to be with you even when we’re old and robots have to give us sponge baths. Before you get in your head about how I brought you here to propose I didn't. I wanted you for myself.”
“Oh that’s reassuring,” Miriam snorted and wiped tears from her eyes.
“I love you, Miriam and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Jack said.
“Do you even have a ring?” she laughed as more tears streamed down her face.
“I’m glad you asked.” He grinned, earning an eye roll from Miriam.
Jack got off the bed and grabbed his discarded t-shirt to clean himself off. He slipped on his shorts from earlier and went to his suitcase and grabbed his toiletries bag. He pulled out a small box that Miriam recognized that was from his go to jeweler. He walked up to her and sat next to her, opening the box to the most beautiful ring Miriam had ever seen.
“Miriam no middle name Dominguez-Miller, will you marry me?”

Cherry Slushies
Eddie Munson x fem!reader
1.5k
friends in love, first kiss, record store co-workers.
“Have you seen the time, Munson?” you gave the boy a deadpan glare, as he lazily walked into the record store, car keys swinging in loops over his index finger. Eddie huffed, rolled his eyes at you but grinned nonetheless putting a cherry slushy on the counter in front of you.
“I’ll have you know that I am late for my shift only because I’ve got a very very serious reason for that,” the boy hummed as he leaned over the counter where you stood, his long ringed fingers with chipped black nail polished tapped a rhythm over the wooden surface and you stared at his hands transfixed for a second. Your breath was stuck in your throat and you blinked several times unable to hold his gaze that long. He watched you closely, with those huge brown eyes that reminded you of melted chocolate and… and…
“And the reason is..?” you twisted your lips, busying yourself with the cash register machine.
Eddie shoved his hands in his back pockets, swaying back in forth on his heels as he smiled with that wide, warm smile that showed off his dimples that you’ve grown to love so much over the summer. Eddie was wearing a black tank top with a handmade DIO logo on the front that you watched him paint over the fabric just a couple of days ago. It looked sick you thought, it showed off his arms littered with tattoos and you swallowed hard seeing the muscles in his arms flex. For a change, Eddie was wearing black denim shorts that clearly used to be jeans before and the material ended just slightly above his knees but you could still see another tattoo peeking out it, inked all over his thigh.
“Like what you see, princess?” the boy wiggled his eyebrows at you, winking at you as he did.
“You wish, freak,” you squinted at him, bashful. You smiled shyly, feeling crimson creeping up your neck. Head down, you kept shuffling dollar bills in your hands, trying to escape Eddie’s gaze but he noticed your smile nonetheless, feeling his own cheeks getting rosy pink.
“Oh no, you wound me greatly, m’lady,” Eddie gasped all faux shock. “I doubt it,” you said, huffing a laugh.
He was watching you carefully when you walked to the displays that were full of vinyl records, arranging them in alphabetical order. You were pretty, like really really pretty. You were kind. To everyone and to him in particular, a rare occurrence Eddie didn’t always get from people who marked him as a Hawkins freak. In fact, you were the only person who could call him that and the boy would get flustered. The way you’d say it cute and affectionate, with that voice that Eddie believed was reserved only for him, it would send him spiraling. Sweaty palms and weak knees accompanied him pretty much all summer that you’ve worked together. And on top of all that you had the same taste in music, those lovely flower summer dresses you were wearing would fool anyone but Eddie who knew your favourite album was Piece of Mind by Iron Maiden.
“Well, I had to stop by the arcade and get you a slushy,” the boy continued, clearing his throat as he pointed at the slushy that was already starting to melt in the August heat, “Cherry. Your favourite. Can’t have my favourite co-worker die of heat.”
Suddenly it felt so much warmer inside the record store than it was. And if your cheeks weren’t pink before, they were for sure now. You hid your face behind David Bowie's vinyl trying to ignore the way your heart rattled in your chest.
“Are you flirting with me, Eds?” your voice wavered just a bit, as you walked past the boy, jokingly poking him on his biceps. He was warm, soft skin and that scent that screamed Eddie Eddie Eddie. Burnt caramel and pine mixed with weed and cigarette smoke. It made you dizzy.
“I’ve been trying all summer.” he nodded but then grinned wolfishly like he didn’t mean it, handing you the slushy. His face was flushed and he prayed you hadn’t noticed but he could still feel his skin burn just where you touched him a second ago.
And that was pretty much how you spent the whole summer. Flirting that was but wasn’t really there, jokingly mean comments thrown back and forth at each other, innocent touches pretending they were not on purpose. You liked him. He was sweet and cute and really himself. You liked the way he talked, the way he smelled and the way he’ll get slightly shy around you. Eddie was all smooth sweet talk, rosy cheeks, loud metal music in his van, cherry slushies and lukewarm beers snuck behind the counter, soft touches at the small of your back and sometimes late night talking on the phone. He’d call you his favourite co-worker and the coolest girl in Hawkins which would earn him your shy laugh and that little smile you always tried to hide.
The clock showed ten to six when you and Eddie locked the doors after the last customer, the boy mopping the floor, making a bigger mess than before and you counting cash, dollar bills rustling in your hands.
“I can’t believe she chose Blondie over Metallica,” Eddie sighed dramatically, waving his arms in frustration, “Who does that?”
You rolled your eyes, grabbing your bag ready to go. You took Eddie’s van keys, hinting that it was time for him to stop complaining and drop you off at home.
“Blondie is cool, Eds,” you scoffed knowing well enough he’d say you were talking shit. You were.
The boy peered at you through his lashes, the slow stretch of his lips as he stopped, dropping down the mop.
“Oh, shut up,” he said it lightly, soft enough for your stomach to do a summersault. Your heart was stuttering behind your ribcage under his fond gaze.
Oh, he should stop looking at you like that.
“Make me.”
The words left your mouth quicker than you could register what you actually just said and too breathily for your liking. You could’ve sworn that just for a split second there was a change in Eddie’s eyes. Something dark and dangerous swam in the depths of those honey-brown eyes of his and you swallowed hard. His lips parted and you watched him lick his bottom lip and suddenly he was close to you. Too close.
He didn’t reply at first and you were scared you crossed the line. The boy stood just inches away from you, towering over you, making your brain go all fuzzy.
Your knees bumped, skin to skin and you shivered. Eddie murmured your name, unlikely quiet and shy, and you weren’t even sure if you heard him over the music still playing inside or if you imagined it. The toes of your black Converse touched his same black ones covered in sharpie doodles and Eddie tilted his head, gaze set on your lips.
You took a breath, exhaling shakily, feeling Eddie’s arm settling on your waist, his slender fingers digging into the skin there under your summer dress. You wondered if he’d kiss you now, you wondered what he’d taste like.
“Eddie…” you started but you were cut off as the boy leaned closer, all hooded eyes and you closed yours, eyelashes kissing the high of your cheeks. He kissed you then. Soft lips moving over yours, the kiss that was barely there, a contrast to how his hands were holding you, surely bruising tender skin that burned under that summer dress he loved so much.
And then he was kissing a spot just right behind your ear, and you let out a sigh that almost sounded like a moan and Eddie groaned, hands grabbing harder at you, pulling you into him, bodies pressed together. His lips were gentle, tender touches that were barely there. Your hands went up up up until they were tangled in his curls and you tugged softly earning yourself another groan from him. It was soft, a quiet one but it made you feel hot and you trembled when Eddie’s fingers traced the column of your neck as he gently nipped at the skin there. And then he pulled back, looking at you like that and smiled. You whined, feeling greedy for his touch and Eddie laughed, looking slightly smug but shy all the same.
“I wanted to do that all fucking summer,” he confessed, sincere and honest, fingers grazing soft skin just slightly under the hem of your dress.
“I thought you’d never do it,” you whispered as you reached on your tip toes for his lips for more.
