Sirius had been locked up for a DECADE. When he got out, when he came to you, when he shattered in your arms, he felt like your warmth was melting him back into the boy he was in Hogwarts. The one who’d finally found a home, a family. The cheeky, mischievous, long raven-haired boy who’s face lit up with laughter whenever he was with his friends family. The boy who always had a witty, sassy remark, the boy who finally felt love. Once he’d finally got out of Azkaban, he came straight to you, planning to find Remus right after. Standing face to face with you was scarier than he thought it would be. He was preparing himself for rejection, for you to call him an evil murderer and lash out. “Sirius..? My Sirius..?” You’d mumbled, reaching out a hand to touch his cheek. He was trembling. Underneath a layer of shadow, brought on by the trauma he’d endured in prison, his eyes were still the same. The eyes of the boy you loved. “Oh.. oh, sweetheart..” you’d whispered, gathering his body in your arms. Once he was safe in your home, you had him on the sofa, cuddled in your arms like a child. Eventually, once his inconsolable sobs died down, he lifted his lachrymose face from your soft chest. “I… I knew you’d believe me. You know- you know I wouldn’t kill them… right? You…” you shushed him, petting his hair. “Sirius, I know for a fucking fact you’d never. You’re safe now. I won’t let anyone get to you. You’re gonna be okay.” I imagine him nuzzling his head back into the crook of your neck and refusing to move for the rest of the night. He’s still a stubborn fuck, obviously LMAO

Remus, poor boy, has been alone for just as long. With James and Lily and all of his friends dead, Peter a traitor and Sirius in jail, he had literally nobody. (Also, I’m sorry, but for angst purposes I’m gonna have to say he couldn’t see you either for whatever reason.) when you two got reunited, I imagine it was literally heartbreaking. He was sat there with vacant eyes, staring at you like you were a ghost who was trying to torture and trick him. God knows he’d had enough delusions of you and of Sirius coming to him, he thought this was his mind being mean to him again. His rosy lip twitched. “Remus?” You breathed, trying to break him from whatever trance he was stuck in. Unblinking, a tear dripped from his eye. His brows furrowed and he pouted determinedly, though you could see the anguish in his eyes. You were so confused. “Stop it. Please, not again.” He mumbled, squeezing his eyes shut, trying to shuffle away from you. “Remus, it’s me” you said, unable to help a disbelieving bark of laughter. “No. No, no, you’re being mean to me. Why is this happening? You’re hurting me.” He growled, hands sliding into his hair and tugging on it. Ever since hogwarts, Remus hadn’t been able to let go of the self hatred, so he thought that you were just a vision his mind was projecting to hurt him more. “Remus, baby.” You lurch forwards, not giving him time to run from your embrace. You lock him tight in your arms. You feel his tense body go slack, as his shoulders start to shake. He whispers out your name, voice laced with so much grief and so much relief. You’re back. “It is you. Oh, I love you. It hurt so badly” “I know, sweetheart. I’m here now.” You coaxed. With one hand in his caramel hair, the other petting his back, you felt him fall asleep against you and the seat you were both now on. <3

Sure! :DD I don't have any references for them on hand, but these two images show their designs pretty decently.

Agent is a pretty rare case of a tall dragonfly, so he's one of the lucky few bug species who can still fly.

Victim is a very special case: a cordyceps fungus in a locust host. Cordyceps are pretty rare, and locusts are just as rare. Locusts aren't born, they are triggered. Usually from a grasshopper or cricket, after going through an extreme trauma they become locusts, but the only locusts discovered are dead. Victim is no different.

Cordyceps are also pretty weird. Most cordyceps simply take the body and woe. zombug be upon ye. However, ancient Roaches wanted to try and replicate immortality and thus began the kidnapping of other bugs and experimenting on different species and themselves with cordyceps. It IS possible for somebody to live on thanks to the fungus, as the fungus can take and hold memories rather than replacing them. Only thing is, those cases tend to be artificial due to the extremely specific requirements

That being magic and a strong body. Poison and Ice are the easiest kinds of magic to work with, and one of the few species that can physically handle the cordyceps and magic without overloading the fungus are moths.

Victim got lucky. He was Alan's first little experiment when he discovered that bugs come from little larvas and eggs and if he grows his own bug then he can have endless entertainment. Victim couldn't fight back well against Gammas or whatever other Deadlanders Alan threw at him, but Alan is observant. He knows bugs use roach crystals to heal by hitting them. So he basically impales Victim alive with a crystal and murders him lmao

Cordyceps finds Victim's body and attaches to it, and he got lucky enough to where the tiny shards of crystal stuck in his system was just enough for the fungus to hold his memories and self. So victim basically becomes the fungus.

BUT THAT IS STILL NOT GOOD. It was sheer luck and because hes not even a moth the connection is pretty unstable. In a strong bond, there would be no worry about reverting to the zombie-like state, but since his connection is so unstable it can get triggered.

On the bright side, this makes him a living magic detector. Its how he finds one of the shards of the Wasp King's crown so easily, which allows him to brainwash Chosen One. On the ugly side, you get this:

This happens after Victim tries and fails to kill Alan. He basically gets really pissed that Alan doesn't want to kill him anymore, that he isnt even trying to fight back, and starts mentally spiraling because of it. He compares himself to the other Hollows which are all sorcerers and have magic, and chalks up his failure and lack of control over the situation to that lack of magic.

So to fix that he basically ditches everyone and goes to Snakemouth Den, aka the original lab where the Roaches experiment cause goddamn that place is potent with it you can literally see it in the air. Basically goes there and something something recreating the events of trauma so you can control the outcome, smashes a shit ton of the crystals into smaller shards.

Agent brings the color gang into this (the only mercenary who knows about vics situation) because he had a feeling shit would go wrong and boy was he right. Victim drives the crystals through his exo-skeleton and

he does it. he gets poison magic. but he still gets knocked down easily so rinse and repeat of him attacking, getting beat, healing by impaling with a crystal, and so on. But yeah the more magic he siphons from the roach crystals the more it makes the fungus kinda lose it and slowly but surely the grip the fungus has on his memories and self starts slipping and the instincts from the fungus and the sentience starts getting blurred. Yeah sorry victim in your obsession and greed for control for others you lost control of yourself

Basically a boss fight at that point, feral zombie vic vs his loyal lapdog of a bug and 5 children. At first its just operating off of the instinct of getting them OUT of the territory, but he also burns through the magic really quickly which means he needs more and oh look at that cute little bee hes full of magic. Basically a stalling game of blocking off the exist and making sure he doesnt rip the crystal stuck in seconds head out.

Eventually they win and after a quick revive from Second, an unconscious victim gets carried to an inn by Agent and everyone leaves the caves that day with so much trauma yippeeee

i can't say i really have a favourite honestly, it's kind of luck based. i'll usually try to watch streams while i eat food, but if ive run out of the ones i'm interested in watching, it's likely im eating to a much shorter video.

When Tetra was petrified, she remained somewhat concious and could vaguely hear her surroundings, but, obviously, couldn't communicate back. Now, being a descendant of the royal bloodline and/or having a Triforce-induced superpowers, she'd usually be able to contact Link telepathically, but, after being turned to stone, Tetra's call is too quiet, and Link can't hear it, because he has his own innate and pretty potent wind magic, drowning any weak external signals, not to mention Ciela and her siblings adding their magic into the mix.

There is someone else who can hear her in that state, though, and that's Linebeck. He doesn't wield any magic (or nothing significant, at least), so he doesn't drown her out. Whenever Link and Ciela/other spirits leave his ship to go dungeon-crawling or stuff, if the engine's turned off, only then can Linebeck hear Tetra calling out. At first, he's naturally freaked out and thinks Link brougt a ghost from the Ghost Ship, but later they figure everything out and manage to communicate with Tetra and relay what she had to say to Link.

(Also, for a first couple of days Linebeck referred to Tetra as a "figuredeck", until realizing that the subject is too sensitive for Link).

That's a cool idea! Giving Tetra a sort of role, a new role for Linebeck, and some new group dynamic stuff, that's a neat concept.

idk if i'll end up with anything nice enough to post but i am finally out of art block for now and am working on redesigning my designs of the trio

#my old designs just don't have the right vibes #tbf i came up with those designs on the spot and just kinda went with them #no thought put into them just my first instincts #rn i only have a couple designs of yellow guy but so far he looks a lot more accurate #absolutely not looking forward to duck though i know he's gonna be a pain to figure out #i've never been great at drawing animals and birds are no exception #like what is going on with that beak #idk i probably won't get to him any time soon though i'm being too much of a perfectionist and spending way too much time on each doodle #why did i commit to making all of these fully colored and shaded #well not fully shaded since i'm not doing all the highlights but mostly shaded #this is why i keep getting in an endless cycle of art block #j draw one (1) thing and then i put too much effort into it so it takes a week to finish #and then i take some time to not draw because i just did a big thing #and then i forget that drawing is actually fun and have art block for a month #and repeat #at this point i just gotta accept that this is how it is and as soon as i finish these doodles i'm gonna be back to art block #oops my adderal kicked in and i've been stuck rambling in the tags oopsie #i'm not gonna go through and edit any of these tags #i need to stop #anaacdotes #update: frick i did the designs and never posted them i should do that whoops
