hear me out. just. hear me out please.

sk8 x hadestown.

langa is orpheus because he's not fully aware of how the world functions and he's a bit too soft sometimes and he'll hurt people along the way without intending to do so because that's just life and also he's the extraordinary, he's the one who's touched by the gods, if anyone can bring spring back into the world it's him.

reki is eurydice because he's a hungry young boy and he knows that not everyone is special, that you have to work and fight just to survive sometimes and he's seen that, he's been at the bottom of society with big dreams of being on top of the world and he's never been extraordinary to anyone until langa lays eyes on him and gives him the hope that maybe spring can come again.

adam is hades because he's the king of the underworld, he's the big bad that stands in the way of a young love living a happy life and he's changed so much, changed so much that now he's almost incapable of humanity even though he used to love and feel genuinely, passionately, but he might be too far gone to ever return to who he once was.

cherry is persephone because he's trapped in a life he chose a long time ago not knowing what it would turn out to be and he's deeply unhappy but he can't let go, not when he's still holding onto the man adam used to be and so he tries to numb himself from everything, his only joy being spring but even that is fading away slowly but steadily and he wants to leave his guilded cage but he just can't let go.

renga works as this young innocent love that gets driven apart by the cruel world around them and loveblossom works because they made a fatal choice when they were young and there's always some kind of desire to go back to what they used to be but they're literally doomed by the narrative, it'll never work out.

joe is hermes because i vibe with that.

Sk8 the ♾️ au: instead of Langa being an airhead, hes a dickhead. Just a dick to everyone except Reki. Makes fun of Miya for losing. Yells out pedo everytime Adam looks at him. Tells Joe and Cherry they should be ashamed of themselves for being childish. Calls Shadow pathetic. Urges Oka to get a real job. Begs Snake to find a personality.

Oh and it was Langa that reached out first. He saw Reki and just everything stopped and that when their eyes met, his heart restarted. He knew then and there Reki had to be protected at all costs. Reki was his.🫠
