Oh God I don't know if this will read as coherent because my thoughts about Showtime are all over the place. But I'll try to format this the best I can

✨Showtime HCs! ✨

Their relationship starts when they start spending time together.

(The reason why they do so could vary. In Supervised Machine Learning's case, Pomni becomes something of a "tutor" to Caine; They discover that they work well together, and the other's company can be quite pleasant!).

So Pomni and Caine build a weird, but comforting friendship, and all is well.

Then the feelings appear.

Caine is the first to realize he fell in love.

It sounds illogical but hear me out… it'd be really funny--

Ok no seriously I think Caine can actually feel. Keyword "can". He's very much still a machine and it shows in the pilot. But like his inspiration (AM), Caine is also a rogue AI. Whatever his programming originally intended him to do, he probably doesn't follow it as closely now as back when he was created (which is a whole other post).

Caine knows what love is and the extend it can go, since the Moon is so open about her feelings. He just doesn't like the Moon back specifically haha (sorry Moon) :}

All this to say, I do believe this is within the realm of possibility for him. (Not that it's ever gonna happen towards anyone in the show. These are just wishful shippy thoughts).

He might not recognize it as love at first, because it manifests in such a different way from his one reference point.

His friendship with Pomni had gone through phases.

When they first met, he continuously touched her with no concern for how she felt.

Learning from and about Pomni herself led him to come to respect her boundaries (and becoming mindful of everyone else's).

Then they're close friends, and gradually, Pomni does not mind his regular wacky, touchy-feely self. So Caine acts as he had always done before.

Caine expresses his love for Pomni with physical gestures and his undivided attention.

When they teleport to travel to other places, he holds her close so she doesn't get too dizzy; he pats her head to reassure her; he touches her arm to get her attention; he grabs her hands when he's excited about her ideas; he holds eye contact for prolonged periods of time; and he touches, and touches, and touches, and touches.

It's selfish, and so he keeps it buried in his deepest 0's and 1's. But he'd like to keep hanging out with Pomni, having her in his sight, and feel the texture of her gloved hands until the end of time.

Despite all this, to him, virtually nothing changed.

What? He's spending time with Pomni as he'd always been doing, and behaving as he'd always behaved!

It's Bubble of all people that has to point out that, "Hey boss. I think you WANT her!"

Absurd. Nonsense. Preposterous! It is merely a relationship of mutual support and affection between a ringmaster and his trusted, former-human companion. Nothing more.

(Declaring his love to her unprompted didn't ever cross his mind, so there's no way it could be that. Is there?)

Caine finds out that yes, there is.

Pomni had always been a nervous wreck, but her mind state becomes more manageable over time. She eventually adjusts to the circus life like everyone else did.

"Accepting" her fate is a different story. The will to escape, to remember, never really leaves. She's just more careful about it.

So when she starts working with Caine - to improve life so people don't go abstracting anymore, and hopefully find a definitive exit - she's not expecting to end up liking her time with him.

Not that she'd absolutely hate it, either. He's… "okay"… Just-- outlandish, loud, he keeps invading her personal space, he keeps touching her, and it makes her die a little every time.

If he's up to listening, though… it can't be that bad, right?

Turns out that no, it wasn't that bad.

Yes, he is outlandish, loud, he keeps invading her personal space and touching her. But she explains what she means to him, clearly and patiently, and he makes an effort to do better. An actual effort.

Sometimes he'd misinterpret what she meant - the ambiguity of human language - and the new games would go horribly. But little by little, his efforts make life overall better. Something reminiscent of actual, real life, the one they've all forcibly left behind.

And he tries, and he tries, and Pomni finds herself enjoying the process as much as the good results.

Pomni likes Caine's eagerness to learn. His enthusiastic attitude borders on silly, and the absurdity makes her laugh on occasion. When faced with the prospect of a "real" exit, she loves his upbeat optimism.

When she's not hanging out with Ragatha, Jax, Gangle, Zooble and Kinger, she begins to enjoy spending quality time with Caine.

Each one of their hang outs is a new surprise. They make a picnic in the tallest mountain exactly in between day and night. They learn to dance - while floating in the air. "Since you asked, here's a DIGITAL camera! Let's take pictures of the Void for one tenth of a second at a time!"

Sometimes he just comes by Pomni's room, and they end up losing track of time. Just chatting about how things have been, what they could be, and what to do next. Ideas and ideas and ideas.

Before Pomni knows it, she's comfortable enough that recalling his old habits makes her not dread them anymore. So when Caine stands close and lightly touches her arm due to oversight, she makes sure he knows it's all right.

And they keep spending time together, and he touches, and touches, and touches her. Pomni, in turn, feels lighter, and lighter, and lighter. Peaceful, at ease. Dare she say, happy, even.

Life is not perfect. As it stands though, it's good enough. No one has abstracted. No one is at risk of abstracting so far.

Progress is slow, but the research for an exit continues, and she is hopeful. The thought of actually leaving grows closer to reality. But a part of her feels heavy.

When it occurs to Pomni that leaving the Amazing Digital Circus means leaving Caine behind, she is alarmed by how much she'll miss him.

It'll hurt. Badly. So much the thought pains her even now.

The moment Pomni realizes this, she comes to the unexpected conclusion that she may like Caine a little more than she thought she would.

This later leads to an interesting discussion with Ragatha.

By the time Pomni comes to that conclusion, Caine is already down bad.

Neither has any idea that the other is in love with them.

Cue dumbasses trying to deal with their feelings while the potential conflict the escape brings looms over their heads.

Shadow and Rouge can never quite understand to how it feels to be mechanical in both body and mind, and vice versa; Omega can never fully comprehend organic thought processes or physicality.

(500 words of ruminations)

Sure, Omega has a pretty good grasp on the organic brain:

How they're inferior because they can't process huge amounts of data like he can, nor do they have his perfect memory or sense of direction. On top of it all, they constantly make bad decisions based on a bunch of hormones: Biological brains function on thousands of years old evolutionary directives, and they react illogically, such as freezing or otherwise disabling the body at the face of danger, simply because some gland is producing excessive amounts of molecules. "Pain" is an archaic warning the brain gives to inform the body of sustained damage, but it can also completely immobilize the individual. - Organic functions seem to all be self-sabotaging at their core, and it's one of the reasons Omega deems most organics inferior to him.

This is all irrelevant because when Shadow got his first crippling PTSD episode, and began to hyperventilate on his bedroom’s floor at 04:18:25 after awakening from a nightmare, Omega felt powerless ineffectual way out of his element. - Shadow did not show any response to audial cues, and physical contact only made the situation worse. Omega learned this when he went to place Shadow back on the bed after he'd ignored Omega calling out his name for 24.8 seconds: Shadow’s breath hitched and he started to immediately trash in Omega’s hold, eyes frantic. His reaction didn’t cease even when Omega dropped him onto the bed, and instead tried to deliriously induce Chaos Control, eyes locked on Omega without any recognition. Omega was in the middle of calculating the next best manoeuvre when Rouge barged into the room. The commotion had alerted her from her sleep, and Omega could only watch as she kneeled down to Shadow and started doing breathing exercises with him, Shadow's irregular breathing turning into sobs shortly after.

…Or when Rouge sustained serious enough injury on a mission to the point where she couldn't mask her pain, and Omega had to pick her up despite her flinching away with a scream at the initial contact – a noise Omega had not registered form her previously. He tried to adjust his grasp to insignificant success, every bit of movement prompting a noise or a muscle twitch from her, as he carried Rouge through her teeth-gritted wails. She cursed and screamed at Omega until her voice became sore, leaving her with only tears running down her face. – “Hon~ you could never catch me crying. Why, it'd ruin my makeup!” – Her alcohol-based cosmetics were completely intact even when she was being strapped to a stretcher, about to be transported via a G.U.N. medical air carriage. Shadow had been hovering over her for the past 21 minutes - he'd been glued to her ever since teleporting to the rendezvous - and despite being in the middle of arguing with the paramedics, Omega could see him gently holding Rouge’s hand, with her squeezing back.

The Journey: Aikoto Chronology

With P3RE on the horizon, I thought it'd be useful to gather the Aikoto moments that happen in The Journey across the various P3-related releases.

The list will cover:

Vanilla P3 (OG)

FES

P3P

Drama CD

Just in case, given that Atlus seems to be taking some inspiration from the movies, I'll also list some of the stuff the movies added

(Spoilers for the entire game below the cut!)

Note: Out of the Drama CD, there are some that are meant to be considered as canonical, official side-stories. These are Daylight, Moonlight, New Moon and Full Moon. I'll mark the rest with a * since I'm not sure whether they're meant to be considered canon or not.

Note 2: Moments that have been confirmed to be in P3R will be marked with a ✅. Meanwhile, moments that have been confirmed not to be in P3R will be crossed out.

July

✤ Fateful Meeting:

OG/FES: Aigis is introduced with an animated cut-scene. Makoto gets a heart over his head when he sees her and is also disappointment when he doesn't get to approach her first.

Movies: Makoto is "into it" for the first time when he sees Aigis, and he's blown away when she turns to face him.

✤ Reunion:

✅ OG/FES/P3P: Aigis goes into the woods and Makoto has to chase her. Aigis hugs him (in OG/FES, she stops hugging him when Ikutsuki gets there, while in P3P she hugs him for way longer).

Movie: Makoto doesn't chase Aigis; there is a shadow attack that night and Aigis comes to save him, leading to the Aikoto hug from the game.

✤ OG/FES: Akihiko and Junpei are shown to be disappointed when Aigis is revealed to be a robot, but not Makoto.

✤ ✅ OG/FES/P3P/Movies: Aigis wakes Makoto up "five minutes earlier" and proposes she be allowed to stay in his room. In the games, Yukari's last dialogues imply Makoto wasn't against the idea (either "I don't care" or "She can stay"; knowing him, likely the first lol).

August

✤ Movie-Only: Aigis tries to protect Makoto during the Justice & Chariot fight. Makoto worries for her and tries to reach her when she overheats.

✤ ✅ (Optional) FES/P3P: You can walk Koromaru with Aigis (the very first Koro walk!) on August, 15th. Aigis keeps her distance.

✤ (Optional) Summer Festival:

OG/FES: When you go alone to the Summer Festival, Makoto runs into Aigis and Mitsuru. He tries to call out to them, but neither of them hear him.

✅ P3P: When you turn everyone down, the game defaults to sending Makoto to the festival with Aigis and Mitsuru. Once there, Makoto and Aigis share some takoyaki and you even have the option to make them hold hands.

Movie: Makoto goes to the festival with Aigis and they play at the stands. Instead of going with Mitsuru, they run into Shinjiro and Ken.

✤ (Optional) FES/P3P: You can go to the Film Festival with Aigis on August, 28th (the game gives you a heads-up about it the day before).

September

✤ Movie-Only: Aigis drops by Makoto's room and the two talk about his motives.

✤ ✅ OG/FES/P3P/Movie: Aigis starts going to school (and gets assigned the seat next to Makoto). She tells the entire class that she wishes to always be by Makoto's side.

✤ Drama CD (Daylight): It features various events and a lot of Aikoto stuff, including Aigis & Makoto going with Junpei to visit Chidori at the hospital, Aigis & Makoto patrolling the city together, Aigis being curious about ice-cream and Makoto promising to buy her some, etc. It also features the introduction of the "Mysterious Girl" that would later become relevant in Arena thanks to Labrys, as well as a direct tie-in with Labrys' wish and Aigis' route in P4A.

Security Camera:

FES/P3P: When Makoto gets sick because of the typhoon, Aigis goes to his room to look after him. Despite confirming he's doing fine, Aigis decides to keep watch over him. In FES, she sits on the ground; in P3P, she sits on the bed by the side of his head.

Drama CD (Character Drama Vol 3*): It shows Aigis' thoughts as she decides to "follow her heart" and muses on how illogical she has become.

✤ Drama CD (Character Drama Vol 5*): While this CD focuses on Akihiko and Shinjiro, there is some slight Aikoto, since Makoto immediately recognizes Aigis' handwriting and is the only one to figure out what she meant by her note.

September-October

✤ Drama CD (P3P Vol 2*): Makoto and Aigis tease Junpei, plus Aikoto + Koromaru go look for Bunkichi when he goes missing. (The screenshot above is unrelated to this.)

November

✤ OG (Cutscene)/FES (Cutscene)/P3P/Movies: Aigis breaks out of Ikutsuki's control as she and Makoto stare at each other (this isn't shown in P3P, so we have Aigis stuttering Makoto's name instead). The movies add Aigis falling due to the effort and Makoto holding her in his arms, as well as Ikutsuki trying to control Aigis a second time and Aigis resisting to not shoot Makoto.

✤ Drama CD (Full Moon): Aigis is paralyzed by her fear of hurting those who matter to her. Pharos reaches out to her, reminding her that she has to fight if she has someone who is truly important to her.

✤ Movie-Only: Aigis reassures Makoto that she will never leave him (a moment based on her S-Link with him). Makoto hugs her close.

✤ Drama CD (Episode Luck*): Ryoji thinks Aigis is glaring at Makoto rather than at him because she fears Makoto likes another girl. Makoto corrects him: Aigis' animosity is very much reserved for Ryoji lol

✤ Movie-Only: In the game, the girls comment on how much better Junpei is doing now that he is friends with Ryoji. In the movies, they give Ryoji's friendship with Junpei to Makoto, so the girls say this comment to Aigis, who starts thinking about what matters more: Makoto's well-being or her mistrust of Ryoji.

✤ Kyoto School Trip:

OG/FES/P3P/Movie: Aigis wants to share a room with Makoto.

Movie-Only: The movies add a hilarious scene where Aigis takes matters into her own hands lol Also, since Ryoji hangs around Makoto during the trip, Aigis makes sure to tag along.

✤ OG/FES/P3P: As everyone leaves to study, Makoto briefly hangs back with Aigis. As he makes it to leave, Aigis tells him that thinking of anything happening to him and of not being able to be by his side again (this dialogue is present in Japanese, but missing from the ENG translation) has made her understand the concept of "loss". She also tells him that while she doesn't know why, he is very special to her and she wishes to protect him and to always be by his side.

December

✤ Moonlight Bridge:

OG/FES/P3P/Movie: Aigis gets her memories back and realizes why she wanted to be by Makoto's side.

OG/FES: Aigis reaches out for Makoto, who kneels down to hold her hand without player input. When Aigis passes out, he touches her head.

Movie-Only: Since Aigis is laying down instead, Makoto holds her in his arms.

✤ Movie-Only: Makoto goes to visit Aigis at the lab.

✤ OG/FES/P3P: Aigis comes back to the dorm and apologizes to him for what she did 10 years ago. All of Makoto's dialogue choices are supportive of her, showing he doesn't hold it against her: “It was the only way”, “You had no choice” and “You did the right thing”.

✤ Movie-Only: The movies merge Aigis' resolution with the Aikoto scene that takes place in January during Career Counseling. The movie's version notably features Makoto asking Aigis to go see the cherry blossoms with him next spring.

January

✤ (Optional) FES/P3P: Last walk with Aigis and Koromaru. This time, Aigis sits by Makoto's side like everyone else.

✤ (Optional) FES/P3P: You can start Aigis' S-Link on January 8th.

✤ Drama CD (Moonlight): The most Aikoto out of the Drama CD. Words don't do it justice, so here's a link!

✤ OG/FES/P3P: Toriumi asks Makoto to call Aigis for Career Counseling. He finds her on the rooftop, and Aigis proceeds to confess that even though Death is gone now, she still wishes to be by his side. This scene is titled "The Promise Between Aigis and the Main Character".

✤ (Optional) FES/P3P: First and last group walk with Koromaru on January 29th! Everyone tries to "make the most of this moment", as Makoto and Aigis hang out together playing with Koromaru.

✤ The Battle for Everyone's Souls

OG/FES (Cutscene): We can see Aigis looking at Makoto and trying to stand up while they’re crushed under gravity.

Movie-Only: As the shadows swarm SEES, Aigis protects Makoto before being overpowered herself. Makoto screams his heart out. (Note: This scene likely inspired the Aikoto Dance at the Persona Concert 2022, where Aigis gets taken by shadows and Makoto falls to his knees in despair).

OG/FES (Cutscene)/P3P/Movie: Aigis cries out “No, don’t go!” as Makoto levitates away from them. In P3P, we're shown Aigis calling out to him is the last thing he hears before his consciousness fades.

Movie-Only: Makoto's Evoker falls from his hold and Aigis grabs it. He turns to her and says his last words to her, "Live."

OG/FES/P3P: Aigis and Shinji are the last voices Makoto hears before he casts the seal. Aigis says that she won't allow the world that gave birth to him to be destroyed.

Movie-Only: Instead of her line from the game, Aigis reminds Makoto of the promise they all made and tells him that he has to come back no matter what.

OG/FES/P3P/Movie: Aigis laments her lack of strength because she couldn't protect the one she cherishes. The English translation of the games omitted the last part.

OG/FES/P3P: Tiny detail, but it’s only after Aigis calls out to Makoto that we get a >everyone is calling out to you and the option to reply. Her reaction is also the first we see.

OG/FES (Cutscene): A cutscene shows us Makoto returning to SEES. In the cutscene, SEES are split into groups and only Aigis is shown on her own. We also see Makoto's smile widening and his eyes trembling as Aigis sheds tears for the first time. P3P has none of this, but Aigis is the first one to notice Makoto coming back to them.

March

✤ OG/FES/P3P: Aigis sadly watches Makoto from afar (March 3rd).

✤ Movie-Only: Aigis watching Makoto happens on March 5th. Seeing her triggers Makoto's memories, and he struggles to make his way to the rooftop. Aigis is waiting for him there. As the two make their way towards each other, Makoto collapses. Aigis catches him in her arms and hugs him close, welcoming him home.

✤ OG/FES/P3P: Aigis comes to find Makoto on Graduation Day. She picks him up in his room and together they go to the rooftop to wait for everyone. As they wait, Aigis thanks Makoto for everything and reaffirms her desire to protect him and to always be by his side. In OG and FES, Makoto wipes her tears away (once again without player-input).

✤ OG/FES (Cutscene): He falls asleep with a smile on his face, laying on her lap.

✤ OG/FES: Memories of You opens with Makoto and closes with Aigis.

Okay Imma try to keep this short and not ramble too much lol

Since you didn't specify any continuity, I'll just talk about him in my headcanon AU that is mostly based on IDW with some Prime thrown in. TLDR; - Scientific curiosity is equal to physical arousal - Outliers and other special frames are hot (Blurr, Megs, ...) - Partner is a bit like a science project, being analyzed and watched - Senator Past: Many flings, especially with commoners bc they felt like "forbidden fruit", likes being admired - Post-Institute: Not very active, still feels arousal but mostly ignores it for the sake of efficiency Curious about other characters? My ask box is open!

Longer version:

I think for Shockwave (any Shockwave, really, except for maybe Shockblast) scientific curiosity is kinda equal to actual arousal in terms of satisfaction. They go hand in hand. He'd be someone to overload with his mind instead/alongside of his body (if that makes any sense xD), he has a rather unique way of excitement.

I think one way this happens is that Shockwave would bring science "play" to the next level. Medical play, very similar, but he'd love to disassemble his partners, get to know them from the inside out. He'd probably never allow his partner to do the same to him though, he's been fully disassembled multiple times in IDW and I don't think it's very pleasant to him xD His partners are in a certain way test subjects, even if he's not taking them apart. His eye would watch and analyze every reaction.

He'd also be into Outliers. Big time. Why do you think he had his academy? They're one of the big fascinations that he kept from his Senator days. Whenever he sees Skywarp teleport or notice Soundwave read minds, his spark would skip a beat. He'd be keeping his eye on them for sure, heh. In general, I think he'd have a thing for "special frames", like Blurr with his super-speed or Megatron's warframe. Remember how in the Exodus novel he imagined an army of "Megatron-inspired supermechs"? (I swear I'm not making this up, that's the actual phrase the author used) Yeah, something like that.

I think as a Senator he might've had a thing for affairs with commoners too, with maybe a little bit of exhibitionism thrown in. Just the rush of being seen with someone of the lower classes would've given him this sense of tasting a forbidden fruit. Given how he used to be quite vain, he might also just have enjoyed being watched. I can see him as a mech who would prefer to ride his partners to make sure they see how his fresh paint shimmers in the dim light of a berthroom. Watch their faces and how they stare up to him. Oh yeah, Senator Shockwave was a whole different creature. He surely wouldn't have minded some body worship here and there, but only if it truly felt sincere, otherwise it'd be too much.

I don't think he indulges much in physical pleasure after the Epurata/Shadowplay happened, but his body and mind still reply to stimuli, even if he doesn't act on his desires. They get in the way of his science, mostly. He doesn't see them as illogical, but rather as bothersome. (He'd self-service if he couldn't handle the heat, but he has himself very well under control mostly)

she'd be pretty lost at her counterpart's decision to have children. yes, she understands that pjo!athena didn't break the vow and the loophole to have brain kids is smart, but like... why tho 💀

there are no benefits to having children. ror!athena sees no logical reasoning to have them.

other than that, she's pretty indifferent. anthonius is not her son so she doesn't care at all for him. it'd be pretty illogical for her to, she sees no reason to care or step in to protect him, especially since he's been pissing off five very powerful gods, two of them being her uncles.

PALISADE 28.crazy good this week etc

New radio person for the intro...! This comes at a good moment. I still miss Baldwin Home like. That very first PALISADE intro is genuinely so hard to beat... but this feels good. I'm once again thinking about Austin writing these... The style used for Black Screens intros obviously shines through (she's his protégé) but she does have her own voice already (way more rhyming? I mean, I'd have to doublecheck HIS intros, it's literally just a feeling). Just the tone used and intonation already does a lot. Austin is so good at this fr. I'm still curious how he even approaches that. Also the "watch me unloose 80 Ls on these next lines" I knewwww that's 80 Ls for real as soon as Parti said illogical. I wonder if he wrote that bit first trying to see how many Ls he could fit in there & then finetuned it to get to a good number? I guess that's just how I would do it.

(who knows if we'll ever get a description for Parti. we never did for Black. maybe if she shows up in a conflict turn somehow? so im just fuckin around for now... i haven't sold myself on the clothes. i'm just not a fashion guy. but i do like the braids)

Oh & new guy alert part 2!!! New Keith character! And he has a funny hat. Not even funny as in goofy it just makes me laugh a bit because my dad and maybe every 5th 70+ y/o man I see has a hat like that. Love the sequin poncho.

(btw I am almost certain Keith has posted a picture of that teapot on Cohost before... He posts about tea sometimes so there's at least a chance. I mean the description of the coloring he gives is actually pretty good IMO, you can work with that, but I as an artist I like to have a visual reference. EDIT: someone just asked him. thank you keith and also rosecrest)

I have the. I got Armor Astir & a lot of the playbooks other people made in a bundle a while back and I'm real torn if I should just look at the Investigator because I'm really curious. But. ok so I wrote everything else about Eclectic down yesterday & then noted down "vibes?" as break between paragraphs because all I had at that point was the description & I wanted to get back to this. And ooohhh my god the vibes are fucking immaculate right off the bat I'm having a hard time to not Already be obsessed with this guy he's SO funny conceptually and it KEPT getting better... Truly delighted with this new type of guy (& Keith is doing a voice!). And I fucking love the hooks. Truly so great to me. The thought of these getting loosened OR deepened is already really really good. "Leap says"..... oh it's SO funny I keep laughing to myself

And I'm VERY excited it's a delegate like genuinely so happy. I was mourning the loss of a branched onscreen (okay.I still am) but this does make it worth it. Ever since they got introduced basically I so badly wanted to know anything more about them, but especially what Austin mentioned in the episode itself: the delegates relationships to the divines they are made from & of course the divines themselves (who are alive!!! Apparently that was already written in a dossier way back when, but I rarely read those). That has me sooo excited.

Oh and the like... I only thought about this just now but the connection there to Thisbe's new project is. That's gotta be something! "The divine who's being held captive somewhere on this planet, and has been tortured for millennia" hearing a message of... That this can end & rest is possible and it's SO CLOSE? But does that just make it worse... Ohhhhh. Yeah this rules. What a great idea.

That project generally is really... god, I love Thisbe so much. I love how Janine talks about her and what she thinks and why she does what she does. Thisbe's relationship to work and being a tool and of use is so interesting to put here, with the divines wanting to rest. (And Janine saying something like... Thisbe thinks of herself in relation to divines how Mow is to her? Kind of?) And saying it seems so solitary a project... every divine should know about it. Every divine deserves the right to rest. But it's also a call to action of sorts when she talks about like... "shouldn't you want to protect this?" I think her "Fighting is not my purpose, but there is nowhere else for me until the fighting is over." hook could be in conservation here too... Also I'm just looking forward for Thisbe to Broadcast again. It was like, one of her things in PARTIZAN. I really liked her & Cori working on this together with the. Experience they just had behind them. Sylvi & Janine reading the hooks for each others characters kind of sheepishly was soooo funny "I forgot how bitchy this was!". That's good stuff to me. (as an aside: god, Thisbe has always had good as hell hooks/beliefs/whatever else. Remember "Operant Broun lies to me because they believe I am a person."? Banger. ) I also love that she thought of this/about this at the rib(?) of Barricade. Barricade as an axiom who had this close (& good, protective) relationship with another axiom...

btw now that Leap is NOT coming back I do miss him a bit. Mostly out of principle like I am So happy we have Eclectic but Leap is my guy.... shoutout to him... being a bitch bastard pirate out there in space... + shoutout to Figure A too always : ) (speaking of, on the Gathering Information Extra bit from today he talked about if he had played Leap, picking a class that also had like, a crew, and I'm mostly just really curious who that would've been. I would love for Keith to make up some funny guys for Leap to order around. I wonder if Eclectic or an Eclectic type would've been on that?)

(Also Leap investigating Motion. Ok. To ME it's at least partly bc this was so important to Millie. And he has reason to be concerned generally he fought Motion too but. That's MILLIE'S rival! And it doesn't even have to be at the front of his mind when he does this. Maybe it isn't. But it's real & it's something to remember her by through actual action. Because he's not the sentimental type.Do you get me.?)

Brnine talk show. This was sooo good. After they joked about it in PAL25 too. I recognized the hosts name, but wasn't quite sure from where until I read the dossier - of course he's that guy from the podcast. God. I have got to relisten to that sometime... I remember Ali on one of the recent Gathering Information ep (the one w/ Austin on, I think) mentioning a conversation that was like. stressful to do. and then also to listen to? (since she has to for production/editing) and I figured it would be another Gucci-type talk but ooohh my god. This was sooo. EDIT: ACTUALLY what if it wasn't even. What if it's about to be this talk with Rye edit: GALLICA i cant believe noone called me on this. mixing my elects up. rye is the one gur killed (mvp). Austin was sounding a bit ominous about it at the end of this episode! HUGE shoutouts to Ali again she is just absolutely killing it this season for real... And I honestly feel like overall Brnine was, considering the situation, doing very well. Genuinely. You're feverish and hollowblooded and have this fucking. Guy needling you & asking the stupidest questions... & like. "You made Kalmeria. They'd never let you rot in jail." of courseeee they want Brnine working for them. They're so GOOD at what they do. They messed with the parts of A Fucking Divine. . I just had a scary thought and it involved Mustard Red. But. Surely not. Nooo. I'm shaking my head. However Arbitrage? An Arbitrage deal (like they tried to make them take before) would work just perfectly for this, wouldn't it...

When Austin mentioned Grand Mag in that vision Cori had I thought something like 'man. sucks to be him : (' but like. In a genuine way. "I can't stop it from hurting people a little"........... Hah oh wow I just thought of this but I am so excited for people who haven't listened to TM to meet him now. He's not even my favourite he just makes me crazy in a way almost no other character does? Like there's something so WRONG with him. And there's things wrong with a lot of FatT characters but it's like... Well. Grand Magnificent.

I love the thought of them watching Brnines interview at the next movie night (POOR BRNINE.) but I also want to know what Eclectic would pick for movie night. Oh and Partial too. Though he may not be staying I would still really love to know. Partial coming on board for the mission has me intrigued generally.

Oh and Gur talking! Even if just a little. I still feel so bad for them. "I believe in whispers in ears"... and they have reason to now. Figure is a person trying their best to do good & make changes, which is what Gur wants. I just wish they weren't a specter haunting someone elses body & what even happens when Figure rolls a 10+. Is Gur still there and Figure just stops seeing him? oohh it hurts a bit.you can't do this to him you can't (related: I extremely forgot about the other specters and ghosts and ghouls and whatnot that Figure can also see. It's not just my friend Gur Sevraq. Looking forward to hear more about that & how it affects Figure so much as to roll with disadvantage!)

Love to learn just a little more about devotion. I really need to just relisten to that again & think about it a bit harder.

At one point Austin says "Still flanked by guards, you are" and it caught me off guard & made me wheeze. He didn't even do that on purpose . I get him I do this way too often(realize I forgot to say part of a sentence and pack it at the end)

Nevada Design Notes

My Nevada differs quite a bit from Ben as Nevada, especially with the hair and high heels. I wanted to write down some of the things I was thinking of when coming up with my design for him and to actually show what his State Spirit looks like.

State Spirit

The form of Nevada Spirit is silver patches on his skin. They're mainly on his forearms and face. I nearly had it reach fully up his forearms and cover more of his body, but I limited myself to keep power scaling more consistent. He sees this silver all the time.

Since it glows, I colored how he'd look in both normal lighting and the dark. His tongue is also silver (hAhA get it). As he sees his Spirit all the time, Nevada dresses himself around it. As such, I gave him more gold jewelry even though it blends with his skin tone as to him it'd be more contrasting.

And oh ho, colored outlines are back. It was too tedious to manage all my layers to make sure my colored lineart was properly layered so it's now just for eyes, outfit details, and Spirit for the unique factor. It feels better drawing this way.

Hair

I gave Nevada slicked back hair as the shape flows well with his feathery headdress. I also like the idea of letting him be able to easily and comfortably blend in with people in the more rural parts of Nevada since he's not just Las Vegas. She'd be the one to pull out all the stops for an absolutely extravagant everyday look.

Heeled Boots

Think these boots are the reason I grew to like Nevada so much. I gave him heels in the first place because if he wore pants and sneakers, the headdress just wouldn't fit the fit. So I balanced the vibe with the heels, and I just like heeled boots. Although, I had it be cargo pants that were stuffed into the boots so the top and bottom of the look didn't feel too disjointed.

As girlboss as it would be to give him stilettos, I think that Nevada is the kind of person to not want to entirely sacrifice function for fashion. These are kinda his go-to shoes, so he keeps some practicality by having a thicker heel.

Look, designing clothes isn't my forte. I know the strap system is probably illogical, but I like the top not hugging his leg and couldn't think of any other way to feasibly have that.

Eyes

As for Nevada's eyes, I imagine him to have resting poker face. His narrower eye shape helps with that and gives more eye shape variety to my designs. It's also different enough to not just be New York's and not as stern as his.

All in all, drawing a lot of intricate details is not my strong suit, so I have to get mileage out of every detail I place on these bozos.

i went through a lot of drafts while writing this one cause i wasnt really sure what to do. originally there was just going to be one pairing per team and everyone else would be supporters, but then that didnt make sense and kind of stunted a few arcs i wanted to get through

kellaustin was always going to be the double elimination this episode, and i think the way they broke up was a self-critique on my part because im never quite sure what to do with either of them. having them part ways over their percieved perfection and lack of character felt natural. i like lyler, but i didnt want either of them to become lindsays or tylers, i want them to have more agency and exist outside of each other. not just as in "one gets eliminated", more like as their own people entirely.

i also wanted to avoid making them gidgette, which is lowkey kind of the most toxic td couple ever. like man even duncney was less manipulative and terrible than them and they should not have stayed together. kellaustin i think was just lacking substance and it felt right to set up a way both of them could shine in their own rights down the road, rather than drag them along as gimmick characters in tta

i also wanted to explore more of bonsar, because they exist in that space where im not sure whether i want them to be romantic or not, but calling them just friends feels very dismissive of the bond they have, and what ive written them to be.

plus, there are a LOT of duos in this season that are already purely platonic and will continue to be so. for example, i really have no romantic intents for scary, it just isnt in her character. and if it was, i could only really see it being with someone just as smart and capable as them. they're sort of filling the "mean and smart" role that ass, julia, and max can't occupy this season.

i also think they very nicely contrast joner's view of romance, since he's had a lot of trouble with it in the past. while scary is pretty outwardly anti-romance just because it's illogical to her, joner is just concerned that he's going to lose all of his important friendships to romance one way or another. he learns to be a little more accepting and supportive as we reach into the season.

and to address some of the theories floating around:

I don't think anyone has actually guessed who the winners are going to be yet. or the returnee, which is curious, cause I feel like it'd be obvious. wait no nvm there's been someone very passionately advocating for the return who I think will be pretty okay with how it's handled. most of you are wrong, though

wait also i wanna say THAT just about every single elimination order ive seen so far has been wrong. sorry. you guys are not prepared for the character arcs i have planned

hey I had a slightly similar experience where I had a friend who when we were together for 4 years of college, she never got into bts and she used to say all this bs about how they look like girls and I always brushed it off as ignorance or whatever (maybe to preserve the friendship and also because in my country, this is quite common 😞, If I started cutting people off over something like this It'd be really hard to make friends ) and now after college ended she moved to a different place and somehow her new friends were able to make her fall in love with bts and now she sends me reels about "oh look at how cute tae tae is" and similar stuff which doesnt feel right to me.

what bugs me is that not that shes now a fan despite talking shit about them before but how she didn't think they were worth investing time in when I introduced them to her but somehow it's a different case with her newer better friends.

and to top it off she's planning a trip with them to Seoul now which just adds to my annoyance (maybe I'm just jealous that they get to go and I am not able to find a similar opportunity)

Not saying you have to cut these people off and, like you said, some things aren't worth fighting, but this reasoning is so illogical and has nothing to do with their quality of music. I get it if you don't like their music or the commercialism behind them (which is a result of their company, mostly). Judging BTS's worth simply buy their looks... then turning around and liking them now? Why? to fit in with these new friends? Maybe they did grow up a bit and realize they were being extremely superficial. Maybe they had that deep inner talk with themselves. Sometimes people do become better but don't necessarily let others know or are even too ashamed to admit they were wrong.

Maybe it wasn't the right time for her to discover BTS. It is a little different now, too, since they are established idols. A more relaxed atmosphere now that they're established / have roots and able to express themselves more individualistically in solo projects. A little more "behind the curtain" rather than "dressed up".

Maybe she wasn't mature enough to be able to appreciate them.

Anyway.

I see your view. Still, don't let it get to you too much. People can be like that. Just because they live like that doesn't mean you have to, right? She may being going to Seoul with these friends, but that doesn't mean you can't or won't go eventually when you get the chance. Opportunities do require a little luck but mostly they require planning and work towards them.

And a teensy bit of insanity.

You'll get your time. The best is yet to come, eh? And who knows, some cool tourism packages may pop up within the next couple years. I somehow think Korea will try to incentivize tourists to visit more and more, so I would keep a lookout. We might see a BTS-themed tourist tour (with exclusive PCs, what, HYBE clearly wants money, maybe they should hire me LMAO)

I’m glad to see that you aren’t letting those trolls/haters affect you too much. Has this experience change the way you see the kakasaku fandom or how you feel about the ship? How is it different from sasusaku fandom?

There’s a preview out for Sasuke retsuden episode that you can look at but it’s horrible. The ugly art style you are talking is the one we are getting. Moreover the script writer is the one that hates sakura so he’s gonna add stupid lines that make sakura looks bad again. It’s hopeless already for me so I’m gonna pretend like there’s no anime adaption.

It doesn't affect me as much as it would've had I been a younger, newer writer. But with 10 years under my belt, I'm sad to say I've experienced worse and seen other fanfic writers go through worse as well. I will say though that everyone has their limits, and when a writer gets constant hate and harassment over something they're providing for FREE, they will eventually quit altogether.

Sending hate to a fanfic writer because they're going on break and/or because they didn't write a full sex scene in the 1st of the 4 acts of the story serves to accomplish nothing but motivate the writer to abandon the fic for good.

Want a sex scene? Don't nag the writer for it because all the constant nagging turns us off from wanting to write it anymore. Want the writer to return to the fic sooner? Don't bitch at the writer for taking a break because it makes them want to NEVER return to the fic at all.

And then you get no sex scene as well as a huge cliffhanger forever.

Which is possibly what the haters want?? Otherwise, why would anyone think that bitching at the writer will magically make the writer want to submit to such demands at their own expense? It is so illogical and stupidly counterproductive.

Thus, many fanfics are abandoned and even deleted.

And honestly if it does reach that point, I will abandon and delete TAOL if I have to. I've been forced to do it before, and not just for my sanity but also for my safety. I've since come to understand my boundaries and enforce them when needed.

However, I don't like judging a whole group just because of the behavior of the few, so I don't think it'd be fair of me to look at the KakaSaku fandom or ship in a different light. Besides, every single corner of every single fandom always has some toxic people; that's unavoidable.

In comparison to my experience with writing for the SasuSaku fandom though, my SasuSaku readers are more chill for me if I have to be completely honest. I never had any rude comments when I was working on my SasuSaku fics or got harassed for going on break. All my SasuSaku readers have always been kind and supportive. Not once did I ever get a reader complaining that they have so many questions about the plot's mystery - and there is SO much mystery in When the Flowers Cry than in TAOL. When the Flowers Cry is so much more fun to write because readers just post their theories instead of demanding me to hurry and give them the answers to the plot or hurry up and write sex already.

And whenever I go on break for TAOL, there's always a handful of readers who get pissed at me regardless if my absence is due to surgery or a medical emergency - they get pissed at me no matter what. Meanwhile, I have been on break from both When the Flowers Cry and Cut Me Down but I'll Still Rise for ~2 years now and not one SasuSaku reader has sent hate my way. Not a single one.

So even though I don't look at either fandom groups in a different light, I will say my experience in writing SasuSaku fics and writing KakaSaku fics are so startlingly different from each other that you can probably guess which of the 2 audiences I enjoy writing for more.

As for that damn script writer for the Retsuden anime... I guess that was inevitable too. Still, it maddens me to hear that news. I did watch clips of the anime but it just does not do the novel justice. Years of waiting for the anime to treat Sakura right and I just keep waiting like a fool.

I'll just follow your example and pretend the anime doesn't exist either lol.

I am enjoying the manga but I do feel like the rubble scene with Sakura could have been executed better. I would've liked an extra panel or two depicting Sasuke desperately lifting the rocks to get to Sakura and his hand worn out from digging but maybe I'm just being picky!

It just occurred to me that you've implied Scar is going to be on Earth following the split,and I cannot help but picture this man hearing Anne making one too many cynical jokes about tech billionaires and global warming and decide to go full adventure capitalist snake oil salesman. Partner him with a tech savy hermit (I think it would be funny if it were Zed but it cannot be Cub since they would be too powerful) and suddenly the speed at which he would amass capitol while fixing this world's problems to then spit out towards fixing this world's problems would be exponential. What's anyone from our world going to dodge to stop him? He operates on toon logic and has Jellie. With him lined up as the protagonist in this scenario, he will survive any and all assassination attempts through sheer force of slapstick and supernatural cat shaped entity.

Scar & Zed are a dangerous combo. They've only been on Earth for a month or two, but Anne's gripes with do-nothing rich people have pushed them to "fix" things.

Between them, they can & will sell anything & everything, & you will buy it, even if you don't understand why you need the world's most efficient but oversized holepunch.

Not needing any income after amenities & resources, the amount of green they have between them's disgustingly large. With how quickly they've accrued it, it'd almost appear criminal were the books entirely in order & above board.

And all of it goes back toward noble causes, or buying problem companies out from under their owners' feet to reorganize them.

Or buying plane tickets out to places like Brazil where a week later like 90% of the logging equipment disintegrates & the Amazon starts growing back at record speeds. A week later, designs for easily renewable wood, paper & food sources are made open source anonymously.

It's a disturbing cycle of no strings attached benevolence. Like some weird, real-life inversion of something like Cookie Clicker.

Somehow, & Anne will never know how despite her awe making her pay attention to everything, the two Hermits keep a low profile. The faces behind these new initiatives remain entirely anonymous.

Well, almost entirely.

Mr. X's desire to arrest these unseen "aliens" & interrogate them grows by the day, but his superiors keep shooting him down because they "want to see how this pans out".

It won't be long before attempts to capture or eliminate begin, though, & with them X's growing frustration just how slippery & illogical this guy & his cat inexplicably are.

Been a massive fan of castles since I first came across it in dec 2020 (wow time really flies!) and it's been living rent free ever since... a quick question about authority and mentorship. harry's relationship with authority develops from opposing it, to learning how to play/manipulate it, and eventually becoming THE authority as head auror. does his relationship with robards shape this, or does robards act more as a mentor generally? thanks! first, omggg are you joking? i cannot believe you've stuck with me for so long. december 2020 is old school. it's like... before giulia died?! i think i hadn't even broken 50 kudos yet. that is such a long time ago and i am truly honoured that you're still here ❤️. i remember i got what was probably the best, longest, most incredible comment i ever got around that time, and i still remember it. you guys are the OGs and i honestly cannot thank you enough for sticking by me all this time. it means more than you could ever imagine.

secondly, what a brilliant question. i think, yes, you're totally correct in your analysis. and, i would say, it's not only his relationship with "authority," in a hierarchical sense we're talking about here, it's his relationship with power in general. and, specifically, with power when it is held by others over him (or over those he cares about), in a way that he perceives to be unjust or illegitimate. there are plenty of authority figures in the books (dumbledore, mcgonagall, lupin, etc.) who he never really opposes. that is because, in his mind, they have earned their stripes and "deserve" to be in the position they're in. it doesn't mean he trusts them (that's another issue), but he doesn't oppose them as much as he does when he doesn't feel the power is justified. harry is the archetype of someone who doesn't respect authority just because it's authority, and power just because it is power. he hates it when people have some sort of power over him, and his respect very much needs to be earned.

and, you're right. in the first books, he definitely almost exclusively opposes frontally power he feels is illegitimate or unjustified, even if it would make his life much easier not to. he opposes snape, the dursleys, the prime ministers, etc. then, i think in book 6, you sort of see him start to ... play with it a little bit. slughorn holds a form of power over him with his secrets, and he learns to get what he needs from slughorn with a fair bit of luck. then, he really comes out of his shell in book 7 with griphook who he cannot fucking stand, and still manages to deal with in a sort of efficient way. he's not quite there yet, but he learns to deal with power in a bit of a "useful" way.

it was definitely something i wanted to continue in castles. especially because (and this might be tmi) this is one of the ways in which i am So Much like harry. as a teenager and young adult, i was So Difficult and opposing and rebellious with authority i thought was illegitimate. i could not stand the idea that people could be in a position of power and not have earned it and i didn't know a way to deal with it that wasn't confronting them head on, often in front of witnesses. i remember an incident where my former manager made decisions that were clearly bad and illogical and i shredded her to pieces in an argument in front of a dozen teammates. harry and i can be very different at times but that, god, i know what that's like.

and, i think part of me growing up and "adulting" was me starting to understand that doing this is often very counterproductive. and, i will admit this readily: i am far from perfect. there are still instances where i snap. i still have very much a problem tolerating and playing with what i believe is illegitimate power, but i am getting better at it. and, because castles is about growing up, too (and because, as you pointed out, harry goes from hating the "power" to being the "power"), i thought it'd be an interesting (and, frankly, therapeutic, lmao) thing to write about.

and, so, yeah, you're right. harry is learning, too. he is going through those phases of sometimes lashing out (still), and sometimes manipulating. that is very intentional on my part. most of the time, he doesn't quite know what he's doing, but he's trying to be a bit less of an idiot, which frankly is still the stage i'm at (😆). and, yes, i think his relationship with robards is interesting because yes, i think robards does end up becoming the mentor he needed. he is no nonsense and doesn't care, but he still does kind of care, and is very good at steering harry in the right direction. with robards, i also wanted to create a situation where giulia was set up as his mentor by the auror office, but she never ended up being that. giulia is a friend and a teacher, but not a mentor. robards is. and in my experience, it's always like this irl, isn't it? you get set up with people as "mentors" but they never do end up mentoring. it's the people you're not paired up with that end up doing it, and so i wanted that for the fic, too. (a lot of this fic has a subtext of what it's like to enter the professional world and your first job, but this post is already way too long and i will not go on that tangent, lol).

i also think an interesting relationship to talk about here (and then i promise i will shut up) is kingsley. because there, harry's relationship to kingsley's power itself changes. at first, kingsley is very legitimate in his mind, and he doesn't have any desire to oppose him. then, as we know, his vision of kingsley changes overtime, and that's when his gut-reaction kicks in. he lashes out. storms out of his office. gets into stupid press rows with him. but then he's like: wait, this guy's not that bad compared to the other guys and also, i need something from him, so i need to work with him. it still leaves a bitter taste in his mouth, and he's still not super sure how he feels about it, but this is very much him learning to play with power more efficiently than he ever has before.

i think, as i get further into the fic, one of the things i'm looking forward to playing with is that last part that you pointed out: becoming the authority. first, i'm very interesting in how he will deal with being in middle management. it's literally the worst job in the world, where your reports blame you for decisions made by other people, and i am so looking forward to seeing him figure that one out. then, him being the authority, making the decisions, and having to live with the consequences they have on other people. i think that part will probably come easier to him, but that part also comes when hermione becomes his boss, which imo is a super interesting dynamic. i can't divulge too much, but it (obviously) is something i'm super interested in.

i love having fun with harry and his "addiction" to cigarettes. it's this thing where: it's bad but not really bad, and it started as a joke but now he just Can't Stop. honestly, i think he becomes one of those people who are constantly trying to quit, but can't really ever do it haha.

To be honest, I think he's already kind of attached - why else is he constantly trying to persuade them that hating him is illogical and him abducting them is a good thing and he has the right to own them ("taking the agency") and take care of them - I think he's partially trying to persuade himself. Also, the whole complaining about how lonely he is on his ship during long missions.

But yeah, I want him to get "domesticated" too. The doctor/appraiser thing (not going to even try spelling it) sounds interesting and it's a prime opportunity for Cabal to get protective (and then flustered if the listener mentions it/thanks him) - since that "specialist" is probably going to treat Stardust as an exotic pet/slave: order them around, talk over them, touch without permission etc.

I also want them to maybe introduce him to some Earth customs, when they warm up to him. I don't know, sing, tell stories, explain holidays from their culture something like that. Also, not to be biased, but I think it would be funny if they also take advantage of the imperfections of the universal translator (would be even funnier if it only translates English, but not other Earth languages).

Appraiser is correct btw. Buttt, it'd also be pretty funny if they were kinder to the listener and Cabal is lowkey getting salty - Stardust just gets flustered at the closeness and he's just like... "If you keep touching my pet like that, I'm going to stab you."

I find this part especially amusing as I'm bilingual and my second language is Vietnamese. So I'm just imagining mumbling phrases of annoyance or talking about foods I miss. Just watching him get all confused and just cracking up when I realize I have to translate from Vietnamese to English so the translator can tell him what I mean.

Makes me wonder what customs they share with earth. Like, Cabal very clearly has lips but is kissing a thing away from earth???

Do you mean like... have a link post every time I update Orice? The thing is, I feel like it'd be too late now since I'm fourteen chapters in. Sort of how I function is that, with unfinished works, I don't reveal it on tumblr until it is finished because... well, with previous stuff, it has been the fear that I may not finish the story ever.

Maybe that's illogical but uh, I don't know how to feel about like spamming links to my fic? No judgment toward people who post fic updates, I am just a hypocrite, so things that I'm okay with other writers doing, I don't allow myself to do.

Should I? Like, if people want that, I guess I could.

mito: ok idk if she counts but if she does.. she is SO COOL? i'm really really hoping she gets some good moments when we learn more about founders era, don't have high hopes but from what i know so far, she's mega powerful. i don't remember if she actually wanted to marry hashirama or not though? i think it'd be interesting if it was arranged bc i'd want to know her feelings on that. i like her a lot

madara: uh.. yeah i'm on episode 304, so he's currently a bit. Hm. i am aware of all the secret identity things, but not too detailed so please don't spoil me even further lmao 😭😭 yeah usual stuff i didn't really care for him. he was just the overhyped oo super powerful guy but i couldn't really see him as a.. person?? i guess? but from the little fancontent i've interacted with, my opinion on him has drastically changed recently... bc yeah, the uchiha clan is not full of hatred, they just love so so hard. i know a bit about his thing w hashirama, and how the war against the senju lost him a lot of family, so he honestly just feels.. sorta tragic to me? i don't know his goals rn, or much of what he did in the past, but i am very very interested.

izuna: i like him. don't @ me i have already learned he basically is just a side character with like 2 scenes. but that's WHAT compels me the most, honestly? like already in canon, all he's ever been referred to is madara's brother.. the brother who gave his eyes..... and also, around the time he lives, everyone surrounding him is already POWERFUL as HELL. like it's clear they're gonna go down in the history books, and they already have so many titles- but even then, was izuna just regarded as oh, that's madara's little brother? it's such a weird paradox, bc i feel like he'd have a lot of feelings on self worth and not being regarded as his own person and his accomplishments paling in comparison to those around him and always being underestimated and never being allowed to speak for or represent himself, but there's so little content of him we don't know his feelings. feels bad man

tobirama: he's cool? ig? again, where i'm at, he hasn't really been.. regarded as a Person, yet, just as oo the powerful second hokage. he created a lot of jutsus. so it's hard for me to form an actual opinion. things i do know include: he created a lot of the forbidden jutsu of the leaf, he's serious compared to his idealistic older brother, and he holds a grudge against the uchiha (which makes sense i think? they were warring for so many years weren't they? he probably lost people to them too). maybe he also has some thoughts on being the younger brother, the second? perhaps he thinks it's illogical for hashirama to be thinking of creating a village, with the uchiha no less, after all those years of endless fighting? i don't know! but i hope to find out.

hashirama: this guy i REALLY know next to nothing about, least of all how i feel about him. i know he's like... Nice, or something, likes peace and stuff- but isn't he known as the god of shinobi? that's interesting. he's regarded as one of the most powerful ninja EVER, yet he doesn't seem to like fighting as much? he could probably do so much more damage than he did.... was he holding back? since madara supposedly lost and died, in their final battle, i'm guessing he's the one who had the statues at the valley of the end created? but what for? it's so far from the village. if they were warring so long, he must see the uchiha- or at least madara, as equal, to pose them like that. he founded the village, after all that fighting and slaughter. and he has grandchildren. wow. grandpa hokage. i guess i like him sorta
