Swapfell Skeleton Brothers

Mal (SF Sans)

- Age: 26

- Height: 5 ft

- Tail length: long, goes past his ankles

- Voice Headcanon: Rude from Final Fantasy XV

- Personality: proper and snobby, bordering on confident and arrogant, stern, stubborn, charismatic, calculating, solemn, blunt

- Has the second highest HP out of all of the Sanses

- Reportedly not a fan of SF! Napstaton, but was inspired to have his own entrance music from them

- Targeted a lot as a kid for getting sick from his unstable magic. He trained with SF! Alphys and studied how to stabilize his magic

- Very protective of Rus after an accident that occured in their childhoods that he sort of struggles with Rus’ boundaries. The accident also became the catalyst for Mal’s hardworking nature

- Extremely thorough with his work and has great attention to detail. This may also be why he’s the treasurer of the Royal Guard

- Food connoisseur but secretly loves greasy food. He loves good quality coffee.

- Secretly a fan of lame puns. A terrible pun will slip out every once in a while

- Very emotionally constipated

- Lieutenant of the Snowdin District. Is polite and respectful of others but hates faking it with those who gets on his nerves

- This man is so stressed and he keeps burdening himself with more higher expectations for himself so that he can keep protecting Rus

- Very distrustful of strangers and always tries to figure out what their true intentions are before he lets them get any closer to him. He prefers that people state what they need other than trying to pretend to be friendly with him

- Loves listening to jazz, love ballads… and EDM

- He currently works as a bodyguard/spy.

- He reads mystery, sci-fi, and romance novels. He also loves playing chess with Rus and secretly dances by himself

- Tail Length: Pass his knees

- Voice Headcanon: Hunter from Owl House

- Personality: nervous, secretly a prankster, thoughtful, observant, sweet, oblivious, quiet, kinda stressed ngl, pretty honest

- Mal’s right hand in the Royal Guard and Judge of the underground

- He fiddles a lot with his hands, the hem of his hoodie and jacket and hoodie strings. He also tends to keep his hands busy by having a fidget cube or a rubix cube

- He tries his best to understand others and wants to be helpful. He struggles with self-esteem

- Rus likes lollipops and sour candy. His favorite flavors are grape and orange

- Was given the nickname “Mutt” during his time underground due to his excellent eyesight and hearing and being by Mal’s side for almost the entire time. Rus grew to hate this nickname

- Got his scar from protecting Mal from other monsters as kids. The accident made Rus prone to run away from trouble rather than confronting it head on

- Built a lot of the puzzles in Snowdin Forest and set up protective gates in Snowdin

- Works as a software programmer. He kinda wants to make his own art program

- He loves drawing and video games. He actually has made several webcomics

- Rus is pretty critical of himself, especially after social interactions. He’s always thinking of things that he could improve on. This stems from the accident he had as a kid.

- He really wants to travel around the world to experience freedom and have his own adventures

- Will eat literally anything at any time. There’s no such thing as breakfast, lunch, and dinner food to him

- At times, he can be pretty smug. But this is a rare occurrence

- He values honesty as well as Mal and would rather have someone be honest to him than hurt him later

- Sometimes, Rus doesn’t think things through but it’s the thought that counts

- Rus has a collie named Bella, a gecko named Mumu and a frog named Pardner

- Loves listening to EDM, electro swing, and rock

- Has a German Shepherd named Bella and a Scottish Fold named Anya

- Love language: Quality time and physical touch

- Has a good sense of hearing and smell, but mostly smell.

Backstory under the cut!

- Mal, Rus, and their older brother Vise struggled to make ends meet when they became orphans at a young age. Vise took a lot of odd jobs while Mal and Rus stayed with each other, sometimes Rus having to take care of Mal due to his unstable magic

- Rus always stood up for Mal when Mal couldn’t do so. This changed when Rus nearly dusted from protecting Mal from other monsters who were targeting him.

- One day, the three of them went shopping. Vise went off somewhere to do a quick errand and told them to wait for him. Rus went ahead to buy some other things, unaware that Mal lagged a bit behind him. It wasn’t until Rus heard a struggle behind him. Mal was being attacked by several monsters. Rus quickly went to defend Mal from a fatal blow but almost dusted in the process.

- Vise finally came and quickly made the others run off. Mal was trying to heal Rus when Vise demanded to know what happened. After Rus told him, Vise berated him for leaving Mal behind and believes that Rus’ new scar should be a reminder of his mistake. Not Vise’s finest moment but that stuck with his two younger brothers for a long time.

- As a result of the accident, Rus withdrew himself and Mal trained to be stronger. Vise and Rus ended up getting jobs at the CORE, Vise being the Royal Scientist and Rus being an engineer

- Mal got into more arguments with Vise because of his new goal to join the Royal Guard. Vise didn’t believe that Mal wouldn’t get in because of his low HP and his unstable magic. This may have also fueled Mal’s “I do what I want” attitude

- After Vise fell into the CORE, Rus is the only one who remembers him while Mal had completely forgotten about him. Though Mal sometimes has this sense of wanting to one-up someone when he’s not feeling his strongest

- Alphys didn’t want to bring Mal onto the Guard, so Mal goes straight to the Queen herself to prove himself. He was put through a trial with the Queen and got his scar as a result. But he was recruited into the Guard.

- Rus quit working at the CORE and becomes a sentry in the Guard. Under the Queen’s watchful gaze, Mal was quickly promoted to Lieutenant of the Snowdin District (much to Alphys’ dismay) and Rus became a Judge due to his observant nature

- The two of them move into Snowdin and their reputations were quickly established, Mal’s being of the highest honor while Rus’ wasn’t… great

- While Mal seemed to gain more “allies”, Rus didn’t make a lot of friends. He occasionally keeps in contact with SF! Undyne to check in on her. Rus also starts spending time in Snowdin Forest and befriends SF! Asgore

- When SF! Chara fell to the underground, Asgore asked Rus if he could accompany the child to make sure they stay safe. Rus agrees too and decides to travel with Chara during their time in the underground. It took Mal some convincing, but Mal lets Chara and Rus through (though he kept tabs on them while they travel)

Oh my god I've had to sit down and stare at how he was characterized in 2016-2018 and I swear I actually wanted to just grab him and shake him because all there was to him was "omg I'm so hot" and "actually I'm a horrible person teehee" Swap Papyrus, you deserved better

My brain had a thought;

Originally, I had an idea that my Swapfell Red Papyrus, Russ, had a second/secret ability in his Soul that causes him to use too much magic, issuing in his tired look all the time- To the point his eye sockets are so grey and he looks so disheveled and far too weak for what he was originally created for.

I had wanted Kindness to be the main base of this whole world of mine. To have Russ be a secret healer himself, but it drains his life force.

But the more I thought about it, the more it; Wouldn't make sense AND there would be too much of that theme to be around anyways...

Gaster is a deep green; Star is a pure green; The darker the green, the more corrupted a being is. Star is to be the purest human while Gaster has the most vile. The color Green is the rarest form in this world- No matter the hue.

Gaster wouldn't dare ruin his experiment with adding Kindness, however; Perhaps an equal amount that would help regenerate his subject, but nothing to mess it up by straight on giving Kindness, a thing which would drastically cause the opposite affect of making a Killing monster to impress the Queen and get made to be the Royal Scientist.

My brain had a thought of; Doing simple. If Orange is Bravery, that easily turns into Cowardly if the magic dims and becomes dark. And as you know, Russ is a Dark Orange... He should be more anxious, nervous, more fearful; But all through being in this Fandom, I've drawn and written him as this being who won't step down, who tests the waters, can be an ass; Yet with a goofy personality with a high desire just to fit in somewhere and enjoy life. He does have his moments that i have yet to touch up or show; He does have hard anxiety and the likes listed; But one cannot show such weakness in their realm...

Perhaps, the second trait of his would be Determination... The red that easily can turn into a Rage. Would give him a better ability to never stop, never give up, to keep going despite being so close to death like I've written in Training Gone Wrong-- Makes so much more sense.

A lot of things and traits will have to be reformed; Creating is so fascinating and always such a wonderful thing.

And his brother, SF Sans or Regal, was originally a muted hue of Navy Blue- A deep and corrupted color- But I'm playing with the idea that; Maybe... If a Human can change their traits, why not a Monster?...

Pereserverence sounds right up his alley; Even if he isn't a Judge type...

Ketchup & Noodle are extra for fun <3 They are my Ocs.

I will have my own take on these characters. I will share and update on them.

Sans: Sans is getting more and more paranoid by the second. He doesn’t like this at all. Like, just imagine Luigi in Luigi’s haunted mansion; he’s acting exactly like that. Sans tries to write off all the creaking and groans and movements with very logical explanations.

This tactic of his helped a lot in the start, but the longer he stays in the house the less convinced he’ll be. He wants to leave this place so bad dammit, just let him go.

Bear: Bear doesn’t teleport anymore anyways because it hurts and brings more danger then it’s worth so he’s not really handicapped compared to the other boys. He doesn’t like to be sneaked up on, he’s already quite paranoid as is. So he doesn’t need any more of that on his plate. My boy will just make his own exit by ramming his body through the old walls of the house like a bull if he doesn’t wanna be there for a second longer. Just locking him inside won’t cut it. The haunted house would need fortified walls.

Red: Red at first acts confident, thinking someone was just playing a prank on him - no he’s not sweating, you’re imagining things.

As time drags on and Red is getting more paranoid by all the noise and movement. He got his magic crackling in the air, ready to pounce at any moment’s notice like a predator. Or like a cornered animal.

It is until Red is so done with it all, that anger has pushed fear and paranoia to the side. He’s shooting with gaster blasters, he’s plunging bone attacks and so much more at his surroundings. He’s going to make his way out violently. He tried playing nice, now it was time for a not so nice approach.

Sky: Sky likes watching horror movies. He does not like this at all however. Yet somehow he’s the most calm out of all these lads. He’s making landmarks and a map in his mind, slowly navigating the place for an exit. Sky tries to ignore all the creaks and groans, he tries to avoid looking at the eerie paintings for too long, and attempts to pay just enough attention to the movements within the corners of his vision.

If any of the boys are capable of finding the exit without improvising or violence, it’s him.

Razzle: Good luck trying to get him in there in the first place! Razzle doesn’t enter any abandoned buildings, especially haunted ones. He doesn’t care if you call him a chicken, he knows very well it’s called an abandoned haunted house for a reason. And he is not in the mood to poke a potential bear - or worse - with a stick. Razzl got better things to do, thank you very much.

Lamia bitties and mental health please? Its ok if not. I'd just like to know. (I has anxiety and autism. So I feel a need to specify those. And also if you'd be willing to cover those two conditions specifically I'd appreciate it.)

*Some lamia bittybones are better at dealing with mental health than others, and we do also have specially trained service bitties in full and miniature sizes for those who would like them.

Papython (UT!Papyrus): comforting and encouraging, just tell him what you need, commonly seen as service bitties

Corny (UT!Sans): very laidback, good at distracting, mostly uses humor

Krait (Gaster): quiet and patient, a little too timid for some situations, will research so he can help with any issues, good service bitty

FireRing (Grillby): mute which can make communication difficult, capable, warm, and snuggly, good for comfort

Honey Bo (US!Papyrus): very perceptive, good listener, prefers music to unwind, actually a good bitty for mental health

Pygmy (US!Sans): sweet personality, but his fast movement and boisterous voice rule him out for many

King (UF!Papyrus): responsible and serious, protective and straightforward, his large size makes him a good choice for a service bitty

Coral (UF!Sans): has a lot of issues with direct communication and emotion, may struggle to support a person with mental health issues, means well

Chain (SF!Papyrus): SOULbonds help Chains sense emotions making them excellent service bitties, very dedicated to your well-being and happiness

Mamba (SF!Sans): loud and sometimes overbearing, can be difficult for adopters with mental health issues to handle

*This doesn't mean a Mamba, Pygmy or Coral couldn't be a great service bitty for mental health issues, just that they have traits that an adopter should be aware of beforehand.

man you’re blog gives such 2018 gaster gang fandom vibes ngl (Its a good thing i swear) it makes me miss for the whole g.g. updates from bunmuse. i just wanna say you doin a cool job and i want to know your own head cannons of the g.g. + SF n’ Maestro ?

Honestly, I've been obsessed with the Gaster Gang for a few years. I even have a section on my Pinterest account just filled with Gaster Gang images. I wouldn't do headcanons on this blog, but I'll do it this one time. My 'Rules' post should be all the way at the bottom of my blog to look at.

Wingdings: Is an OCD freak, and NEVER let's anyone that isn't B, Stars, or Maestro in his lab, cause he feels like they'll mess something up.

Fell: Has a fear of spiders (Arachniphobia). Only tells B about it, and no one else.

Swapfell: He still keeps his stuffed animal from when he was a child hidden in his room. (Based off a photo that bunmuse made about Swapfell when he was a child.)

B: Anytime B gets annoyed at something or someone, he starts hissing like a cat, and his eyes turn into cat eyes when his eyes are open. (Again, based off something that bunmuse made about B getting mad.)

Stars: He keeps the coffee pot locked up away from Wingdings from 7:00 pm, until everyone else wakes up. He doesn't want Wingdings to pull an all-nighter.

Swap: Is both a cat and a dog person, but due to him being allergic to dogs, he's mostly a cat person. He still loves dogs though.

Maestro: Has a fear of the dark (Nyctophobia), so as a kid, and still to this day, keeps a lamp on at night when he sleeps.

This took FOREVER to finish, cause my mind was blank with a headcanon for B. Hope you enjoyed it! Have a good day/night! 💜💜 Reblogs are appreciated!
