the second perspective is a bsd fic for both skk and sskk (both with about equal screentime for anyone with favourites) and it’s an insanely well-written murder mystery by @wildflowerteas. like genuinely @tallysescape has an actual physical conspiracy wall and @rotisseries has made a map of all the relevant locations. it updates every sunday and finally I’ve caught up so we all go insane about it on a gc bc like I said ITS SO INSANELY WELL WRITTEN AND THE TWISTS ARE INSANE THE PACING IS INSANE THE CHARACTERISATION IS INSANE I GENUINELY CANNOT FAULT THIS FIC WHICH IS CRAZY TO SAY OF ANY FIC BUT IN THE BSD FANDOM IS DOWNRIGHT REVOLUTIONARY

versions of booster gold made by people who obviously dont know much about booster can be so infuriating because they tend to depict him as stupid or as a joke and then people who only know him from these depictions in more popular media have a skewed impression of him

#and like in justice league unlimited #even when the whole thing is about him wanting to be treated seriously #while also still wanting fame and recognition #it feels like a regurgitation of a lot of what he goes through and learns in his first solo #but worse #the 'i thought you were green lantern' joke feels like a rip off of the people calling him buster joke #except the thing about the comics is that he was well known #and the conflict was that he was well known but since he did so much ads and sponsorships and corporate shit #and that he acted like an open book while telling people nothing about himself #led to a distrust with the general opinion on him #which led to interesting plotlines and shit #and sure his tagline is 'the greatest hero youve never heard of' but he has very much been heard of in universe #at least like orginally #anyway this whole thing could be applied to a lot of comic characters unfortunately #but im just pissed that i cant find like a show version of him that does him justice #i hope that whenever james gunn makes that booster gold show that he actually does booster some good #and keeps the og comics in mind #ugh i wish people writing characters should read at least a decent chunk of the characters source material #and other things with them that are properly characterised #anywho i should reread some of my favorite booster comics to make up for it

I CANNOT with my coworker rn. she stole a process I developed and was using to make my life easier, presented it to our boss and he integrated it into our workforce and credited HER!!!

I'm a bit pissed because I've already essentially invited her to my wedding and now I want to like uninvite her but my team is really small so I don't want a huge fallout and thing. I'm gonna have to play the office political intrigue chess game to slowly remove her from my friend circle.

As for my hobbies -aside from sitting around and looking handsome as I usually do- 😏I do a fair share of writing in my free time!

While most of it is directly tied to potential scripts and endings for the Parable, I've recently been trying to write small story prompts of writing beyond the office. It's nothing too grand like what is expected of from The Stanley Parable, but rather simply just me writing for the sake of fun. It's been rather refreshing to branch out and explore other scenarios I can write for. I may end up adding some scenarios into the game! (Highly unlikely, but I'm open for inspiration to strike me)

I'm also helping Oswin write for his webcomic! Since one of the main characters is inspired by me, he's been asking for help regarding dialogue and personality when it comes to my character. So I'm doing the best I can to assist rather than lead.

Aside from writing, I've also been attempting to learn how to play the guitar in the physical world. While I know the chords and the melody in my head, transferring that information into my arms and hands is difficult now that I don't have the aid of the game's code to assist me. I am proud of the progress I've made so far, however! Perhaps I'll record a video of myself playing soon!

I also have taken an interest in consuming more content. I won't list anything specific, but I'm consuming more content from the internet in search of inspiration for creative endeavours. (And watching the occasional video of gamers playing my game. I'm personally a big fan of "Markiplier's" and "Jack's Epic Eye's" videos.)

Those are my hobbies! (If i remember them all correctly, that is. I am old enough to forget a few things here and there! 😅)

U can just #have actual fun. because yes proxy vc is a fun feature for a game but i am seriously grateful that scpsl was bugged for me #i’ve played a lot of ‘shooter’ games (or just games similar to genre) and like Sure im used to people being jerks in game chat or something #but there’s a difference between game chat and straigjt up vc ….. so yeah. i know that it’s barely scpsl’s fault but i just felt like sayin #all that.
