Factors That Affect Seattle Fence Installation Costs
Installing a fence around your property can provide a range of benefits, from enhanced privacy and security to improved aesthetics. However, when considering a fence installation project, it's crucial to understand the various factors that can influence the overall cost. Seattle, known for its unique climate and landscape, presents specific considerations that impact fence installation expenses. In this informative guide, we'll explore the key factors that contribute to Seattle fence installation costs, allowing you to make informed decisions for your property.
Understanding the Cost Components
The cost of a fence installation project comprises several components, each influenced by specific factors. Here are the main elements that contribute to the overall cost:
Materials: The type of material you choose for your fence significantly impacts the cost. Common materials include wood, vinyl, metal, and composite. Each material comes with its own price range based on availability, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
Fence Design and Style: The design and style of the fence play a role in the cost. Intricate designs or custom features may require more time and effort, thus increasing the overall expense.
Fence Height: Taller fences generally require more materials and labor, which can contribute to higher costs.
Property Size: The size of your property directly influences the length of the fence needed. A larger property will require more materials and labor, impacting the overall cost.
Terrain and Landscape: Seattle's varied terrain and landscape can affect the complexity of the installation process. Uneven ground or rocky soil may require additional preparation, leading to increased costs.
Labor Costs: Labor costs vary based on factors such as the complexity of the project, the number of workers required, and the time needed for installation.
Permits and Regulations: Obtaining necessary permits and adhering to local regulations can add to the overall cost. Seattle has specific zoning and permitting requirements that must be met.
Additional Features: Accessories such as gates, decorative elements, and lighting can contribute to the total cost.
Seattle-Specific Considerations
Seattle's climate and environment introduce unique factors that influence fence installation costs:
Rain and Moisture: Seattle's frequent rain requires durable materials that can withstand moisture. This can impact material selection and treatment, affecting costs.
Wind Resistance: Given Seattle's occasional strong winds, the fence design must be sturdy enough to withstand gusts. This might involve additional reinforcement, impacting costs.
Wood Treatment: If opting for wood fencing, treating the wood to prevent rot and decay is essential due to the moist climate. This treatment can add to the upfront cost.
Terrain Challenges: Seattle's hilly terrain and rocky soil can pose challenges during installation. Additional excavation and foundation work might be required, contributing to costs.
Making Informed Decisions
When planning a fence installation project in Seattle, it's crucial to gather quotes from reputable contractors who understand the local landscape and challenges. Here are steps to take:
Research Contractors: Look for experienced contractors who have a history of working in Seattle's unique environment.
Request Detailed Quotes: Obtain quotes that break down the costs by materials, labor, permits, and any potential additional expenses.
Material Selection: Choose materials that are suitable for Seattle's climate, considering durability and maintenance requirements.
Local Regulations: Ensure the chosen contractor is well-versed in Seattle's zoning regulations and obtains the necessary permits.
Long-Term Value: While upfront costs are important, consider the long-term value and durability of the chosen materials and design.
Conclusion
Understanding the factors that influence Seattle fence installation costs empowers you to make well-informed decisions for your property. From material selection to labor costs and Seattle-specific considerations, each factor plays a role in determining the overall investment required for your fence project.

Choosing the Right Ornamental Iron Fence for Your Garden
When it comes to enhancing the beauty and security of your garden, one elegant and durable option is the ornamental iron fence. These fences not only add an air of sophistication to your outdoor space but also provide protection for your beloved plants and flowers. However, selecting the right ornamental iron fence for your garden requires careful consideration to ensure that it complements your style, meets your practical needs, and stands the test of time.
1. Assess Your Garden's Style: The first step in choosing the perfect ornamental iron fence is to assess your garden's style. Take note of the existing landscaping, architecture, and overall aesthetic. A classic wrought iron fence may be a great fit for a traditional garden, while a more contemporary design might suit a modern landscape.
2. Height and Security: Consider the height of the fence and its primary purpose. If security is a concern, opt for a taller fence with spear-topped pickets. For a garden primarily focused on aesthetics, a shorter fence with intricate scrollwork might be more appropriate.
3. Material and Durability: High-quality ornamental iron fences are made from either wrought iron or cast iron. Wrought iron is known for its durability and malleability, making it a popular choice for custom designs. Cast iron, on the other hand, is a bit more affordable but still robust. Assess your budget and preferences when choosing between the two.
4. Maintenance: Keep in mind that ornamental iron fences require regular maintenance to prevent rust. Ensure that the fence you choose is coated with a protective finish, and be prepared to touch it up every few years to maintain its beauty.
5. Customization: Many reputable fence providers offer customization options, allowing you to select the perfect design, color, and decorative elements that match your garden's unique character. Customization can truly make your fence a work of art.
6. Local Regulations: Check with your local authorities to ensure you comply with any zoning or homeowner's association regulations regarding fence height, style, and placement.
For those in the Bellevue, Washington area, Bellevue Fencing Company is a top choice for ornamental iron fences. They offer a wide range of customizable ornamental iron fences that can suit various garden styles and needs. You can explore their offerings and consult with their experts at Bellevue Fencing Company to find the perfect iron fence for your garden.
In conclusion, selecting the right ornamental iron fence for your garden is a decision that requires careful consideration. By evaluating your garden's style, purpose, and your own preferences, you can make an informed choice that not only enhances your garden's aesthetics but also provides the necessary security. With the durability and elegance of ornamental iron, your garden will become a sanctuary of beauty and protection for years to come.

Split Rail Fence: An Old-Fashioned Solution To Your Home’s Outdoor Problem
A split rail fence is an old-fashioned solution to a home’s outdoor problem. It is built out of one single split rail that has been nailed to posts, creating a fence from the ground up. The look of this fence is rustic and barebones, but the simplicity of this type of fence allows for more flexibility in placement and design.

Starbucks is suing its union, Starbucks Workers United, after objecting to the group’s social media post in support of Palestine after the Hamas attack on Israel, according to an internal company note circulated Tuesday and obtained by The Intercept.
The company had previously condemned the post but is now upping the ante, planning to take the union to court. In a message from Executive Vice President Sara Kelly, Starbucks argued that the union’s use of the name Starbucks confuses customers, and that some customers took their anger over the SWU statement out on store employees.
The union’s post read “Solidarity with Palestine!” and quote-tweeted an image of a bulldozer breaking through the fence encircling Gaza. More than 9,000 workers at 360 stores have now voted to join SWU, which is affiliated with Workers United and SEIU, according to its website, but they have been met with stiff resistance from the company on a potential contract. The company previously sent SWU a “cease and desist” order threatening legal action and now plans to follow through with that threat....
(October 17th 2023)
Starbucks and the union organizing its workers sued each other Wednesday in a standoff sparked by a social media post over the Israel-Hamas war.
Starbucks sued Workers United in federal court in Iowa Wednesday, saying a pro-Palestinian social media post from a union account early in the Israel-Hamas war angered hundreds of customers and damaged its reputation.
Starbucks is suing for trademark infringement, demanding that Workers United stop using the name “Starbucks Workers United” for the group that is organizing the coffee company’s workers. Starbucks also wants the group to stop using a circular green logo that resembles Starbucks’ logo.
Workers United responded with its own filing, asking a federal court in Pennsylvania to rule that it can continue to use Starbucks’ name and a similar logo. Workers United also said Starbucks defamed the union by implying that it supports terrorism and violence.
On Oct. 9, two days after Hamas militants rampaged across communities in southern Israel, Starbucks Workers United posted “Solidarity with Palestine!” on X, formerly known as Twitter. Workers United — a Philadelphia-based affiliate of the Service Employees International Union — said in its lawsuit that workers put up the tweet without the authorization of union leaders. The post was up for about 40 minutes before it was deleted.
But posts and retweets from local Starbucks Workers United branches supporting Palestinians and condemning Israel were still visible on X Wednesday. Seattle-based Starbucks filed its lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, noting that Iowa City Starbucks Workers United was among those posting pro-Palestinian messages.
In a letter sent to Workers United on Oct. 13, Starbucks demanded that the union stop using its name and similar logo. In its response, Workers United said Starbucks Workers United’s page on X clearly identifies it as a union.
“Starbucks is seeking to exploit the ongoing tragedy in the Middle East to bolster the company’s anti-union campaign,” Workers United President Lynne Fox wrote in a letter to Starbucks.
In its lawsuit, Workers United noted that unions often use the company name of the workers they represent, including the Amazon Labor Union and the National Football League Players Association....

BIOGRAPHY
born in starlight oaks to bonnie and dane farrow as the second of their three kids, it was surprise to both sides of their family that the spontaneous love affair resulted in both a shotgun wedding and hazel’s older brother popping out not long after.
bonnie was an australian studying abroad at the university of seattle when she met dane — a starlight oaks local who often traveled into seattle for work and met hazel’s mother when his company dinner outing turned to late night bar hopping, and she was the bartender.
it was love at first sight and a year later once bonnie walked across the stage with her master’s degree in radiology, she and dane tied the knot in an intimate ceremony located in starlight oaks where bonnie’s family flew in from perth, australia.
to hazel, her parents are two of the smartest people she knows — her mom a radiology manager at the local hospital and her father who still travels into seattle at the architectural firm he works at as partner. she and her siblings were raised in celestial drive with an emphasis on their education and that knowledge was what would further push them ahead in life.
on her father’s side, the farrow’s have lived in starlight oaks for as long as they could remember, while her mother was the clever and beautiful australian bombshell that he wrangled into small town life. hazel admires her mother’s unparalleled intellect and ability to carve out her own path in life, even if it meant traveling away from all of what she’s known.
she and her siblings grew up in a white picket fence kind of life with a golden retriever named sammy, while she bobbed in between keeping up her grades and taking part in the local girls soccer league. hazel would excel in both her academics and her athletic career throughout high school, though her falling the wrong way during an away game caused a dislocated knee and put an end to any further competitive soccer.
it was through this that when hazel had extra time to devote to whatever else now that soccer practice and games were out of the picture, she began to pick up more books that she could read for leisure.
it was an accident, really, when she picked up her dad’s historical non-fiction book about the titanic that sparked hazel’s interest in learning more about different historical events that interested her.
while she always knew that she wanted to pursue an education degree from her knack of tutoring her fellow classmates, this cemented her desire to teach history specifically. following the tenacity of her mother, hazel applied to duke university all the way over on the east coast, to which she gained acceptance and would continue on to double major in education and history.
it’s in her junior year of college at age 20 that she manages to get the historical non-fiction book spent her college years writing ( the devil in the white city by erik larson ) published where it would go on to sell very well and gain her a 4 book deal with penguin random house.
after graduation, hazel stays in north carolina to begin her teaching career while also beginning to write her second novel ( thunderstruck by erik larson ). she stays in north carolina until she’s 24 and hears news that her mother had gotten into an accident and with months of recovery, hazel moves back to starlight oaks to help her father take care of her mother. she’s in town for nearly a year when her she takes an open teaching position in seattle once her mother is fully healed.
during that year she accidentally fell into a super serious relationship that reminded her a lot of the stories her parent’s told of their first few months together and tbh, it was mainly a fear that she was moving too fast and getting too serious into this relationship that she took the job in seattle and moved. so rip to that ex bc now i imagine things are awkward with her now back in town.
despite the income of being a teacher and the earnings from her two successful books, hazel wanted to slow down from city life after two and a half years of being in seattle and was able to buy herself a cozy bungalow house in starlight cove.
she now teaches history at the local high school, trying her best to impress her students with her enthusiasm for all aspects of history ( she teaches both american and world history ) and getting them to appreciate it. all the while she juggles writing her third book ( in the garden of beasts by erik larson ).
PERSONALITY
overall, hazel is someone who’s very charismatic and extroverted, thrives best when she’s around other people and socializing. she views knowledge as something ever growing and attainable, often encouraging not only her students but her friends to pick up a book or watch a documentary on something they’ve never knew about before. hazel can oftentimes come across as overbearing with her enthusiasm, but she means well in trying to help other people out. she values the relationships of those close to her, though true vulnerability and being seen fully as who she is is something that terrifies her. as a result, she dodges around fully talking about her feelings or how she’s doing since talking about herself for long makes her uncomfortable. it’s something she’s working on with a therapist but it’s still a work in progress. it’s also part of the reason her and her most serious ex broke up … that and hazel ran off to seattle with her tail between her legs. hazel loves baking, going for morning runs or daily yoga classes, and stopping by the local coffee shop to either read or work on the latest draft of her new book she’s writing. traveling is a top priority for her, though any travel whether it be work related for book tours or conferences is usually confined to the summer time, as not to take off too much time during the school year. being a teacher, hazel can be anyone’s biggest cheerleader in getting them to believe fully in their own potential and achieving their goals.

Secure Your Perimeter: Finding the Best Fence Company Near Me for Your Property
In today's fast-paced world, the importance of security, privacy, and aesthetic appeal for both residential and commercial properties cannot be overstated. One of the most effective ways to achieve these goals is by installing a fence. However, finding the right fence company near you can be a daunting task, considering the multitude of options available. From reputation and expertise to affordability and customer service, there are numerous factors to consider when selecting the best fence company for your needs. This comprehensive guide will delve into each of these factors in detail, providing you with the knowledge and insights necessary to make an informed decision and secure the services of the best fence company near you.
Introduction:
Fences serve as a crucial component of any property, offering a myriad of benefits ranging from security and privacy to defining boundaries and enhancing curb appeal. Whether you're a homeowner looking to safeguard your family and pets or a business owner seeking to protect your assets and infrastructure, investing in a high-quality fence is essential. However, with the plethora of fence companies vying for your attention, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. This article aims to simplify the selection process by guiding you through the key factors to consider when choosing a fence company near me.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Fence Company Near You:
Reputation and Reviews:
Before entrusting a fence company with your project, it's crucial to assess their reputation and track record. Begin by researching online reviews, testimonials, and ratings from past customers. Pay close attention to feedback regarding the company's professionalism, reliability, and quality of workmanship. Additionally, consider asking for referrals from friends, family, or neighbors who have recently undertaken fencing projects. A fence company with a solid reputation and positive reviews is more likely to deliver satisfactory results.
Experience and Expertise:
When it comes to fencing, experience matters. Look for a fence company that has been in business for several years and has a proven track record of successfully completed projects. Experienced contractors possess the knowledge, skills, and expertise to handle various types of fencing materials and styles, ensuring that your project is executed with precision and attention to detail. Furthermore, inquire about the qualifications and training of the company's staff to ensure they are equipped to meet your specific needs.
Range of Services:
Every fencing project is unique, and it's essential to choose a company that offers a diverse range of services to accommodate your requirements. Whether you're interested in traditional wood fencing, modern vinyl fencing, ornamental aluminum fencing, or practical chain-link fencing, opt for a company that specializes in the type of fencing you desire. Additionally, inquire about additional services such as fence repairs, maintenance, and customization options to ensure that all your needs are met under one roof.
Quality of Materials:
The durability and longevity of your fence depend largely on the quality of materials used in its construction. A reputable fence company will prioritize using high-quality materials sourced from trusted suppliers. Whether you opt for wood, vinyl, aluminum, or chain-link fencing, ensure that every component meets industry standards and exceeds your expectations in terms of durability, aesthetics, and performance. Request information about the specific materials used in the construction of your fence and verify their quality before making a decision.
Cost and Affordability:
While cost shouldn't be the sole determining factor, it's essential to find a fence company that offers competitive pricing without compromising on quality. Request detailed quotes from multiple companies and compare their pricing structures, taking into account factors such as materials, labor, permits, and any additional services included. Keep in mind that investing in a high-quality fence is a long-term investment in the security, value, and aesthetics of your property, so prioritize value over the lowest price.
Licensing and Insurance:
Protect yourself and your property by choosing a fence company that is licensed and insured. Licensing demonstrates that the company meets the necessary regulatory requirements and adheres to industry standards for quality and professionalism. Additionally, insurance provides peace of mind knowing that you're covered in the event of accidents, damages, or liabilities during the course of the project. Request proof of licensing and insurance from any fence company you're considering hiring and verify their validity with the relevant authorities.
Customer Service and Communication:
Effective communication is essential for a successful fencing project. Choose a fence company that values open, transparent communication and prioritizes customer satisfaction. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, ensure that the company listens to your needs, addresses your concerns promptly, and keeps you informed every step of the way. A responsive and attentive customer service team can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience from start to finish.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, selecting the best fence company near you is a decision that should not be taken lightly. Privacy and Elegance: Wood Fence Styles for Your Home
When it comes to enhancing the beauty, security, and privacy of your home, few options can rival the timeless charm and versatility of a wood fence. Wooden fences have been a staple of residential properties for centuries, offering a perfect blend of form and functionality. Whether you're looking to create a private backyard oasis, mark your property boundaries, or simply add a touch of elegance to your outdoor space, wood fences come in various styles to suit your needs and preferences.
In this article, we will explore some popular wood fence styles that can elevate the aesthetic appeal of your home while providing the privacy and security you desire.
1. Classic Picket Fences: Timeless Elegance
Picket fences are perhaps the most iconic of all wood fence styles. Their charming, open design consists of evenly spaced vertical boards (pickets) attached to horizontal rails. Picket fences offer a friendly, welcoming feel to your property while still providing a degree of privacy. They are perfect for front yards, gardens, and defining property lines.
2. Privacy Fences: Seclusion and Security
When privacy is a top priority, privacy fences are the go-to option. These fences feature closely spaced vertical boards that completely block the view from the outside. They create a private sanctuary for your backyard, shielding you from prying eyes and the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Privacy fences come in various heights to match your needs.
3. Board-on-Board Fences: Dimension and Style
Board-on-board fences are a variation of privacy fences, known for their aesthetic appeal. They consist of overlapping vertical boards on both sides of the horizontal rails, creating a sense of depth and dimension. This style not only enhances privacy but also adds a touch of elegance to your property.
4. Shadowbox Fences: Style with a View
Shadowbox fences strike a balance between privacy and visibility. They feature alternating vertical boards on each side of the horizontal rails, creating a visually appealing pattern. From a distance, these fences appear semi-private, but up close, the alternating boards provide a unique aesthetic and allow for some airflow and visibility.
5. Lattice or Trellis Fences: Aesthetic Climbing Opportunities
For those who want to combine the benefits of a wood fence with the beauty of climbing plants, lattice or trellis fences are an excellent choice. These fences feature a lattice or grid pattern on the top, providing a structure for vines and flowers to grow. They not only add elegance but also bring a natural touch to your outdoor space.
6. Horizontal Fences: Modern Minimalism
Horizontal fences have gained popularity in contemporary home design. They feature horizontal boards running parallel to the ground, creating a sleek and modern look. Horizontal fences can be customized in various ways, making them suitable for those who appreciate minimalist aesthetics.
7. Split Rail Fences: Rustic Charm
For a more rustic and open look, consider a split rail fence. This classic style consists of horizontal rails with gaps in between, giving your property a warm and inviting atmosphere. Split rail fences are great for defining boundaries and maintaining an open feel.
Choosing the Right Wood
In addition to selecting the right fence style, choosing the right type of wood is crucial for longevity and appearance. Cedar and redwood are popular choices for their natural resistance to decay and insects, while pressure-treated pine is a cost-effective option that can be stained or painted to your liking.
Maintenance and Longevity
Proper maintenance is essential to ensure your wood fence retains its beauty and durability over time. Regular staining, sealing, and inspections can help prevent weathering and decay.
In conclusion, wood fence styles offer an array of options to enhance your home's privacy and elegance. Whether you prefer the classic charm of a picket fence, the seclusion of a privacy fence, or the modern aesthetics of horizontal styles, wood fences can be tailored to meet your needs and reflect your personal style. With the right choice and maintenance, a wood fence can be a lasting and beautiful addition to your home.

You are incredibly talented. Might try start small business ik it's easiest said than done but I love your art
Awww, thank you!
but also lol, tragically i have a story for you. From a few thursdays ago when i had to miss the peng*uins game because of an industry event. See i had insider information that this particular company giving the talk is trending more towards layoffs than hiring so i was there purely to hear the talk and get inspiration for new techniques. And since i knew there wasnt any hope for a job, i confess i was my usual quiet self and just kinda sat on one of the fences off to the side while waiting for the talk to start (and evesdropping on some adorable college students one of whom was from seattle and was having a very loud discussion on the weather recently)(i remember what it was like to be that age and optimistic and bright eyed awww). And to my surprise someone came up to me! (gasp!) and we started talking and were bonding over having lived in new york, and how insane LA is in comparison. And i was having fun, this woman was interesting, i was making a connection, and maybe it wouldnt lead to anything but yay im not being a silent hermit! And then she started describing her job and the artists she represents and she dropped a number; 'the sculptor who i just signed a brand deal for has over 200k followers across all platforms'. And my eyes must have gone super wide or something. But somehow i gave it away that 200k followers was another level of ball game than the one i was playing. Cause shortly after that point she ghosted me. Which in irl looks like the person saying 'oh i recognize someone i wanted to say hi to!' (even after she told me that she came alone and didnt know anybody) and then running in the opposite direction without exchanging full names/contact info. And outwardly i was smiling but crying on the inside cause this is just how LA is

Modern | Aro & Sulpicia
artist : fabian perez [ i highly recommend checking out his works, they are honestly one of the most amazing pieces i’ve seen, truly incredible ]
a. ― m. sheen
s. ― m. belluci
disclaimer : it is the first time I write something like this. It's my headcanon for modern au of Sulpicia and Aro, but I also briefly touch the topic of Marcus and Didyme (which will be covered in a few days). I am aware that Aro is in fact, not Italian and that Sulpicia isn’t British. You might not agree with my portrayal of the characters, but I am asking to please be respectful. I am not a native English speaker so there might be grammar mistakes (sorry Aro please don’t unalive me). Enjoy! :)
Sulpicia comes from a very old, well-established family. From young age she has been privately tutored until she reached age when she could be sent to a boarding school. It has been a wonderful convenience for her parents, since it allowed them to travel for business reasons more often. She has received a Bachelors degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences from Cambridge followed by two Master degrees from London School of Economics — one in Economics and second in Public Relations. Since then she pursued a career as a lobbyist in the United Kingdom. Both her personal and her family’s connections combined with extreme determination and understanding of dynamics between politicians and private companies, made her one of the most successful women in the mostly male-dominated field. In her free time, Sulpicia enjoys fencing and opera. When someone invites her for a friendly golf play, she rarely refuses. For a long time she has wished for a dog. Unfortunately, her busy schedule and constant travelling make her unable to properly take care of one. Her guilty pleasure are sweet, romantic movies — she loves watching them with a glass of wine and always tears up when there is a happy ending. However, she also doesn’t mind listening to a good old fashioned crime podcast while getting ready.

Aro, unlike Sulpicia, comes from a broken middle class Italian family. Constant juggling between his parents’ new homes made him mature quickly. He has learned to become his own friend, as well as a parent. Switching schools from young age didn’t exactly help him with maintaining meaningful long-term friendships. Since early childhood he was a very curious creature with insatiable appetite for knowledge. Constantly learning and researching fascinating things that he came across. He passed final high school exams with the highest marks, despite being mostly self-taught. Due to his poor health, he couldn’t attend school as regularly as his peers. After high school, he took a gap year to focus on learning English and Greek, all while working as a waiter and freelance writer on the side. Next year, he decided to study law for Bachelor and later ― Masters degree. He was always fascinated by origins of legal systems and especially the relation between a crime and a punishment. After receiving his Master’s degree he pursued a career in politics, becoming the youngest elected vice-president of the Italian High Council of the Judiciary (consiglio superiore della magistratura). He has strong interest in arts, especially architecture and theatre. His secretaries arrange invitations for auctions all over the world, so he can purchase another valuable art piece for his personal collection. Unfortunately, due to his high expectations and quite eccentric personality, secretaries tend to be replaced, sometimes a few times over the course of a year. As for personal life, he did have relationships with a few fashion designers and more meaningful one with a certain paediatric surgeon. Unfortunately the affair has ended shortly after the doctor got offered a job in one of Seattle’s teaching hospitals.

One day Aro has attended a fundraising event, hosted by Sulpicia’s family in one of their lavish mansions. She was in fact, the main speaker during the gala, also presenting items for the charity auction. At first he didn’t really pay attention to her, as his interest was mostly focused on the beautiful art piece the woman was presenting. It was a wonderful Rubens’ painting. He got discouraged when the price of the artwork reached a higher amount that he originally intended to spend. Eventually, he decided it was worth the price and right after the auctioneer’s fair warning he raised his paddle. At his convenience, no one increased the bidding.
As he stood up, being the winning bidder, his eyes met with the woman on stage. Instantly he was mesmerised by her presence. He was watching her the whole time, but he didn’t see her. When the auction ended he decided to approach her, striking a conversation about the gala. She knew, of course, it wasn’t the real reason he came up to her. Regardless, she decided to further engage in the conversation as her companion was quite knowledgable in the topics of her interest. As the night went on she grew rather fond of the dark haired man. They conversed about politics, arts and common friends. During his leisure hours, or “night time” as he referred to them, he sponsored many artists and happily observed their careers thriving. To her surprise, Aro’s sister was a teacher in elementary school close to her parents’ house in Florence. Apparently she was married to a history professor and they had three children together. By the end of the event Aro and Sulpicia got quite drunk, keeping each other’s company for the past few hours. The night eventually became a morning and alas, the gala has come to an end. Both Aro and Sulpicia weren’t fond of this fact, but they had their own responsibilities and work duties. After both arrived to their homes, they realised none on them has other’s contact information. It was very unfortunate, since they hoped to meet each other again.
As the months have passed, Sulpicia’s memory of an attractive stranger became foggy. To be fair, she always moved on quickly and had the ability to forget situations that didn’t exactly go as she planned. That was until one day she came home to find a bouquet of red roses, wrapped in dark ribbon. She picked them up, curious about the sender’s identity. There was a little white card attached to the velvet cloth. Her hazel eyes opened wide as she read:
“I was hoping to see you again”

status: closed, for @willhansen
location: aspen ridge farm
there was more land than she knew what to do with in her name, far more used to her cozy seattle apartment than a house bordered by ranches and farms. elena had barely begun exploring the expanse of her backyard, froyo in tow with leash in hand, when he’d spotted movement not too far ahead. to her horror, he leapt ahead with a speed her loose grip couldn’t sustain hold of, and ran forward without a care in the world for his owner. out in open land, there was no telling how far he could chase whatever he’d set his sights on, and she’d kept up running after him with shouts of his name until the hurdle of her neighbor’s land came into play.
she almost didn’t jump the wooden fencing clearly meant to keep in animals and keep out trespassers, but.. the farther froyo got from her, panic outweighed the possibility of being stoned to death for entering private property (or whatever it was they did out in colorado — she didn’t exactly skim over any of the state laws before moving). expletives came one after the other as she threw a leg over the fence to straddle it before jumping over to the other side, letting out a groan of exhaustion before running off after froyo again.
when he’d come back into view, it was in the company of another as he ran circles around the poor gentleman. there was a sigh from her as she slowed, relieved that he’d been stopped by a person and not some terrifying animal, like a cow or a mountain lion. in approaching the man who’d caught froyo’s attention, embarrassment was obvious in her features, and elena could only hope that she didn’t look terribly disheveled.
“god, i’m so sorry,” tumbled out from her lips laced with laughter, breathless from the exertion of running after froyo for what’d seemed like twenty minutes. “seems even a leash couldn’t keep him from running after a prairie dog.”
