Sort of Good Omens 2 spoilers but not really or at least not really integral to the plot, and Crowley-specific...

THE MYSTERY OF ANGEL CROWLEY!

1. No "Crawly" - everyone is calling him Crowley.

2. They met while Crowley was making the nebula! So, we get the idea that Crowley is pretty involved with construction and plans and "let there be light" but completely out of the politics. I don't think there's any clear hints of status as an angel unless I'm missing something. (Possible, will re-watch.)

3. Crowley, though not a Duke or Prince, is clearly not a lower-ranked demon either. Most other demons don't seem to have either the power or intelligence to cast miracles like he can.

4. Others recognize Crowley and he's like 'who are you again?' but then he's the only one who recognizes the fucking Metatron... And the Metatron expects this like he knows something about Crowley the others don't. In general, the Metatron acts like he knows something about Crowley the others don't, Crowley knows he knows and doesn't like it.

5. "Have to be at least a throne or Dominion to open" "I wasn't always a demon, and they never change their passwords."

Now I'm one of those who enjoy the headcanon that Crowley was Raphael. It is FAR from stated but it does seem clearly implied that Crowley was not an insignificant angel status-wise. I haven't stumbled on much Tumblr discourse on this yet but I'm looking out for it!
