I'm sorry if things have been confusing regarding the recent comic, I don't understand why Tumblr does what it does sometimes but whatever is going on with it eating people's posts and making them disappear from the dash really needs to be fixed if it's a bug, because this has been an ongoing issue, regardless of how many updates Tumblr has had. There really needs to be more people talking about this. It happens too frequently to me, and I know others who have experienced this as well, but I don't think it happens enough to people for Tumblr to address it cause it happens so randomly and selectively. But people really need to start complaining about it more. Because @staff it's been going on for a couple months now, something needs to be done :V

Is it just me, or does Tighnari's voice keep changing? Aside from the obvious "new" voice actor thing, it feels like Tighnari's line deliveries have changed. This may be because the original switch was really rushed, but it still doesn't capture his original vibes. Which is pretty sad, because Zachary Gordon really is a good actor, and I do like him as Tighnari. I just think his line delivery is still a little flat.

This post goes out to the folks at Discord for being amazing at ruining the platform they spent years perfecting. They're doing such a great job they've now managed to ruin the desktop app with a UI change! Sure, this one might be oddly specific, but now, if you use Windows accessibility settings to increase the system font size, it screws up the channel list now. This has made it to where split view no longer functions properly, since Discord is taking up over half the screen minimum. FML

Idk what tumblr staff is smoking now, but they made a dumb change that resulted in most of their color palette options being unusable (at least on mobile).

They are all near impossible to see what you’re writing when you reblog or create your own post.

Low-Contrast Classic is ok, but still not easy. My half blind mother certainly wouldn’t be able to use it even with her glasses.

True Blue and Pride are the only ones where you can clearly see what you’re writing.

I know I have so many privileges that make my life astronomically better than it would be without them.

But I'm so frustrated.

I can never seem to enjoy myself even if I have the time because of the despair, dread, and endless borage of self-hatred and mean thoughts.

And every time I try to do good, to make myself better, to help others, to become a better person I am blocked!

Tries to exercise more - gets blisters, chafing, and muscular pain that makes it hurt to walk.

Tries study hard at nursing school to become a nurse and help people - forgets something and has to pay thousands of dollars to retake a course and has my graduation pushed back.

Musters up the motivation and works through the despair to create cool content - no one sees it on youtube, no one sees it on instagram, tumblr fucks over the algorithm and post sharing so no one sees it.

So what's that, very Hispanic, "el" doing there? It's just Salvador, not El Salvador. It was never Spanish, nowhere near Hispanic America, and with Portuguese people living there. It's one of the oldest living Brazilian cities!

Ah, I see. Now Tumblr looks like Twitter.

This is a problem.

No, no, it's not just "It changed so it sucks". I liked this format just fine on Twitter.

But that's the thing - the format of the site tells me which site I'm on. You just made it harder for me to tell, at a glance, that I'm on Tumblr, specifically. You made it harder for me to tell that I'm where I want to be, and not the place I left because it became a terrible place.

I'd ask why you'd do that, but I understand - you're trying to make the site more intuitive for people who are used to Twitter and all the Twitter-esque places that are replacing it.

But you're NOT a Twitter replacement. You're Tumblr. You're your own thing. And I gotta say, as a person who has had both Tumblr and Twitter (and now Bluesky, Mastodon, etc.) all along:

I NEED to be able to tell different social media apart at a glance!

It's actually really very important that I be able to tell different sites apart at a glance. As in, it's part of accessibility and user experience.

Tumblr's logo at the top is JUST a letter T, so my aphasic brain can sit here going "Twitter starts with a T... where am I??"

Frell's sake, even the "Radar" section today is displaying a drawing centering a little blue bird! Maybe that one is coincidence, but really? Really??

My tumblr app updated automatically and NOW MY PROFILE BUTTON’S IN A HORRIBLE PLACE. @staff I’m - no. Nope. The shop button can be somewhere else. Actually, the shop button should be in the place you’ve moved the profile button to, since I’m FAR LESS LIKELY to shop than I am to go to my own profile page.

I’ll buy stuff once in a while, I WILL. But I go to my profile on a daily goddamn basis, and I also hop between my page and my dashboard constantly to compare posts and check things I’ve shared and written. I click the shop button once every other week MAYBE.

I’m already snoozing the Tumblr Live feature on a weekly basis. Now you’re just torturing us, I swear to god. Please listen to your users. Please. This isn’t what we want.
