When it wasn't putting on an actual production, the theatre could get so cold that you could have sworn you could see your own breath; all the way at the very back row of seats, it was difficult to see the stage and to see if Sidney was actually doing any good with running her lines.

Derek and Hallie and Randy were near the front, sat at the row behind the very front, cheering her on and although they kept asking you to join them, you didn't want to intrude on their moment. It wasn't your place, anyway, as Mickey's partner, you were just an additional piece of flesh to the group and you weren't really that close to any of them; except maybe Randy, as he did have a similar taste in films to you.

You were more preoccupied with the man of the hour as it was, though. With his hand on your thigh and his lips on your neck, you couldn't help but to smile and laugh when he nibbled and nipped at the sensitive skin nearest to your throat; his hand slowly trailing further up, towards the waistband of your cargo trousers. But then he stopped, and you were more than displeased as you let out a soft groan under your breath.

"You're freezing, come here," he murmured, spreading his legs and getting as comfortable as he could.

When you dared to sit on his lap, he wasted no time in shrugging off his jacket and putting it on you, taking a second to admire how much he liked it when you were his clothes; he didn't think about resuming his previous activity, keeping you steady on his lap as you shifted around until your back was against his chest and he could lay his chin on your shoulder, keeping you oh so terribly close.

He was so warm, so soft and so welcoming as he held onto you tightly. He wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon, and was more than happy to let you steal some of his warmth as he slowly began to kiss up and down the side of your neck, occasionally stopping to gently bite the edge of your ear. He was trying to rile you up, trying to make you yelp his name and beg for an actual kiss, but he knew that it would take more than that.

Maybe he didn't have the purest of intentions, but Mickey did quite like holding you against him with your back against his chest.

"Mickey, I know what you're trying to do," you warned with a slight growl to your voice.

You could see right through him, you always had a talent for being able to see his most dark and insidious intentions, and although Mickey often despised it and loathed it, he couldn't help but to smile this time as he licked his lips and swallowed thickly.

He wanted to know how far he could push you to get a reaction out of you; maybe he could push you to the point where you were out of breath and absolutely ragged, begging for him to hurry up and kiss you properly. Maybe he could make you need it so badly that you would say it loud enough for Sidney to hear it on the stage; he did always like it when you got tired of him, and he always more than made up for it with all the kisses he could.

Sometimes he had to rent horror films to watch with you, but he usually could make it all up to you by peppering every inch of you with the sweet kisses that he knew you liked so much.

Usually.

Mickey always did like it that you weren't stupid and that you would always end up knowing what he was doing, what little games he was trying to play; it kept things interesting in your relationship, and gave him an excuse to try and be more sneaky about it all. He loved the little games that he could play with you, even if you did catch him out every single time.

But he couldn't deny that he likes the way that you reclined into him that little bit better; the feeling of having you so close, of knowing that you weren't going to go anywhere so long as you could steal his warmth. He had you exactly where he had you, and he wouldn't have changed that for the world; even if he was asked by his financer to do it, he wouldn't.

Mickey wanted to stay with you, he wanted to keep playing little games for as long as he could. Of course he worried, from time to time, about what his financer would think and whether or not she would ask him to do the one thing he wasn't entirely sure if he could; it was hard to swallow the unthicklable, it was hard to try and come to a solid decision on that one at least.

But for now, he could enjoy just existing with you, and he could enjoy the way that you leaned into him and how you stole his warmth.

"I'm not doing anything," Mickey purred, biting down and sucking at a particular spot on the side of your neck that he knew would be almost impossible to completely cover up and to be certain that no one would see it.

He liked it when the marks he put on your skin were visible, he liked it when he could see that you were all his and you weren't going to go anywhere without him; he took a single glance at the others, and drummed his fingers against you as he hummed.

You frowned. "What little scheme are you thinking about now?"

"Oh, not a scheme," he shook his head. "I was just thinking, if you're really that cold, we could always go back to my room."

You didn't want to rouse suspicion, but all the same, the promise of his nice and warm bed and being cuddled into his side beneath his nice and thick blanket was too promising; really, you couldn't be the one to blame - his bed was always so warm and so comfortable, and with Mickey there holding onto you, you were that little bit more tempted. You bit at your lip, but eventually, you nodded.

"Alright, I'm down."

horror haul for today 🎉🎉 this'll be my first time seeing from beyond and i figured it was only fitting to get it on dvd since i collect horror/thriller dvds (and im in love with jeffrey combs but that's another story for another day), ive been wanting the reanimator short story and finally got it !! managed to find scream 2 in the dvd store and figured why not, its like the only one after the og that i like anyways. rant officially over !!!!

His motive is something that real life people are/have done
