I feel like something is about to break badly for the harkles??? The focus (in the us) is back on the Rose rumor. Like it is driving me crazy.
the fact that the rumor is up and going AGAIN shows me that the harkles were definitely behind it. But historically when something like this happens, something drops.
any thoughts of what it might be? Or is the trash pandas of monticito just threatened as Easter draws near?
A lot of this does feel like classic DARVOing by the Sussexes - deny, attack, reverse victim and offender - and we've got the triple whammy of it with the cyberbullying over Kate's health, the photo editing scandal, and now the Rose rumors reserfacing.
But what are they retaliating for/reacting to? I lean towards the Sussexes thinking William has something to do with blocking their half in/half out. Their thinking is probably something like "If we can break the public's trust in KP, we can tank their popularity polls and then they have to bring us back."
There's been a lot of chatter on the astrology and tarot side of things, and a little bit from the gossipy news side, that something is going to shake up the Sussexes and rock their world, and not in a good way. There's a bit of speculation that it involves the line of succession or the children - there's a popular rumor on the gossip side of things that the superinjunction about Archie's birth expires in May. (I'm skeptical.)
What's more plausible to me is Dan Wootton. He has just been cleared of some serious allegations by Byline Times that were published last year. Byline Times, as many may know, are considered to be Sussex associates, and the Sussexes (Meghan particularly) have long held a grudge against Wootton because he scooped them on Megxit. It's clear from some of the things Wootton has been saying on social media that he is hopping mad about the Byline Times allegations. If he has the Sussexes in his sights (as he's said), he could do some pretty serious damage. He has the sources, access, and credibility. The Sussexes should be scared of what Wootton knows - and Scobie even hinted at how much Wootton knows in Endgame.

A list of all the things THAT HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED that they/Meghan did behind the BRf's back...as an own-goal...which created friction and made them distrust her -
1. The Vanity fair issue in 2017 (she told them it was to celebrate 100th episode of suits)
2. The love-shield statement by Harry (against Jason Knoufs advice, while Charles was on tour. Seems she wanted Harry to legitimize their relationship even after the VF article)
3. The Vogue UK issue in Sept 2019 (kept a secret for about 8 months)
4. The smart works capsule collection.
5. Promoting Misha nonoos label as part of smart works.
6. The dinky Jen Meyer jewellery merching (which BRF publicly put a stop to in late 2019, around US open)
7. The Elephant documentary. (Going to Lion King with Harry to meet Beyonce. Skipping the Deal memorial for the premier.)
8. Getting permission from queen to do an Invictus documentary but later changing that and doing mental health apple doc with Oprah. (And bashing queen and Charles in it for the 'genetic pain' inflicted upon him.
9. Treating the Aus tour as a vacation and thinking everyone was jealous of her. Taking Messica on the tour as part of emotional support group/stylist. (Gifting Messica a Range Rover as payment is not officially confirmed. Existing articles about it are a but wishy washy)
10. Wanting to release Bench with Vogue UK in 2019 to promote herself in the US market.
11. Collaborating on Finding Freedom (court records show she instructed Jason K to provide material to the authors).
12. Megxit. Planning on the US/Hollywood based career since 2018 and having a Us media team (and keeping them.a secret from her palace staff).
13. Using the Queen, Palace, titles as threat or coersion when something did not go her way (and possibly grabbing deals using those titles).
14. Cutting Harry off from his friends as early as the engagement ( 2017)
15. Secret engagement in early 2017 without the queens permission or informing her (and then waiting for her to get back from Balmoral to ask her permission).
(Remember the Botswana elephant pic with Harry? I suspect that's when they got engaged and she put that pic on her IG as a tease/"sweet nod")
16. Moving in with Harry way back in 2017 (and possibly living in with him for a good year and a half before marriage)
(I suspect that she arranged the VF interview and shoot in London as a flex and to show-off).
17. Hating Nott Cott for being too small and non-glamorous. Then planning to move out or get a fancy place (they leased a cottage in Coltswold)
18. Wearing merch jewellery (the HnM initial jewellery even though Jason K explicitly told her not to draw attention)
20. Deliberately excluding her Dad from the wedding and giving flimsy excuses to the BRF as to why meeting him in Mexico would not be practical. (We always suspected that she did that against the BRFs wishes and pissed them off with those antics alone).
21. Cutting off Harry's friends and later his family by pissing them off, acting superior to them.
22. Deliberately love-bombing male journalists or men in power so they would write favorably about her or do as she wishes. While being abrasive towards female staff or women. ( VF journalist, Pierc Morgan, Scoby, Ed Enninful, Markus, Jason K, Prince Charles, David Foster, Craig Ferguson etc etc etc)
(Treated badly - Catherine, Camilla, Queen, Sophie, all the WAGs of Harry's friends, female staff, RPO, AKelly, UN women etc etc)
23. Trying to cut William and Catherine out Harry's life by saying they are jealous of her popularity.
24. Wearing the blood diamonds in Fiji and then again for Charles bday even though PC himself asked her not to)
25. Trying to open a shady foundation with the help of her US agents to dipost the earnings she makes from her royalling.
26. Being too gung-ho about projects, throwing a million ideas and then changing her mind constantly. Being a mean boss.
27. Competing with the Queen, Camilla and Catherine for popularity by deliberately releasing pics, projects, papwalks or articles about herself on their important days.
28. Demanding a separate salary as a working royal. (And asking for all her expenses to be paid by Charles).
29. Harry's asking to be involved in the working of duchy of Cornwall and expecting to be paid for it (and getting pissed that it wasn't possible)
30. Being jealous of Williams and George's position as future Kings, and being paranoid about become irrelevant as a brand in a few years. (Hence leveraging their royal titles for fame, adoration and money)
31. Trying to sabotage Charles because he wanted to slim down the monarchy for financial reasons.
32. Securing Netflix, Spotify, quibi in 2019 before megxit. Planning megxit and the drama to justify these deals.
33. Demanding a wedding more expensive than will and Kate. Expecting a bank holiday to be declared for her wedding. Not planning anything well (and so PC and BP staff had to step in to arrange basic things)
34. Asking the wedding choir for constant re-do (12 times, and then rejecting the final selection anyway).
35. Rejecting the queen and Charles attempts to reconcile her with her side of family.
40. Stood up Charles for his documentary at the last minute.
41. Inviting celebs for her wedding even though she had never met them.
42. Receiving freebies as a royal (so far confirmed is Soho Amsterdam getaway, Jen Meyer jewellery, things she promoted on SR ig, private jets from Rich celeb friends)
43. Demanding separate staff from the Cambridges and being salty for being put under the BP umbrella (they did not like the checks and rules and hid everything from BP)
44. Rejecting palace doctors and deliberately creating controversy with bump clutching for publicity (she was angry palace asked her to remain low-key and to stop patting her belly so much lol)
45. Going behind Williams back and love-bombing Charles. Going behin Charles' back and trying to cosy in with the queen. Insulting queens staff and bad mouthing them in interviews to undermine the queen in the public's eye.
46. Using the Diana template and trying to be Diana 2.0 as a branding strategy. And resorting to self-victimisation to become popular against the best of advice from her UK advisors.
47. Rejecting South Africa as a place they could move to after the palace arranged for the couple to spend their initial years there (this to you dermine Harry and emotionally manipulate him, I believe)
48. Reading everything about themselvesand then berating staff to correct opinions on Tumblr, LSA, YouTube etc. (Doxing bloggers who were critical of her)
49. Weaponizing her fandom, Sussex squad (they acknowledged a super sugar, Scoby frequently collaborates with them, they acknowledged fundraisers etc)
50. Being work-shy. And barging in on Harry's patronages for publicity. Dragging him away in the middle of conversations. Excessive PDA.
51. Oprah interview. And using that to push the racism angle, jealousy angle and suicide angle. (As a retaliation for taking away Harry's patronages)
52. The exorbitant NYC baby shower. Getting freebies from companies as gifts. Saying Serena comped for the shower when it was a publicity stunt and merching gig.
53. Lying to queen about Lily's name. And lying to public.
54. Blackmailing BRF for jubilee using the kids as a bargaining chip. (And then walking off in a huff when rejected)
Please note: These are the things that I believe the BRF got to know about or knew about. Things that are provable with actual reciepts. Proved either in articles over the years or various books published so far. I'm not including the things she "may" have done or rumours or hear-say.
=============
THIS. SUBMISSION. IS. EVERYTHING.
Can I tell you what I consider to be the most heinous on the list? It's the merching. Her merching was completely against the BRF's financial code of conduct, never mind that fact that universally everyone would agree that a public servant who uses their office for personal profit is CORRUPT.
I am not diminishing the hurt that she caused her staff or even the Cambridges, but I simply cannot abide by people who abuse the public trust and not to mention misuse hard-earned tax payer money. Which is exactly what Meghan did. Every penny spent on her was to prop her up and only her.
My problem with Meghan has always been about her deception and her behavior and this incredible list by you is the proof.

It's Christmas at the Sussexes'!
"Ethically culled chicken from the family coop with extra helpings of re-heated misery - and a blood diamond bracelet wrapped under the tree: It's Christmas at the Sussexes'"
By Kennedy for Dailymail.Com 25 Dec 2023
As North Polian gusts slip and sigh their way to Montecito, little Archie and Lilibet's sustainable stockings are bursting at their hempen seams.
The Duchess wakes later than usual - no early morning emails to staff today (it's their holiday too, she says empathetically).
A quick final check of the mailbox confirms a festive sadness: cards from Jay Z, Bey, the Beckhams and miscellaneous family members have indeed been lost in transit.
The table is laid by Harry - weary from the hard past year he's had, notably publishing his ghost-written memoir in January.
Turkey's out - instead it's ethically culled chicken from the couple's garden coop.
Place mats are replaced with excess copies of Meghan's best-selling picture book The Bench. (#Recycling hack!!)
While side dishes of betrayal and woe are re-blended, reheated and served with extra helpings. (Bought from Palestinian-owned stores only).
House rules: Don't mention Spotify, Coronation or car chases.
Auntie Oprah slides into the mix and - despite recent rumors of a cooling in relations - I'm happy to report she isn't seated out in the cold.

Here's Doria and Tyler Perry, too - rocking up in a Hertz electric-car rental.
And what Royal Californian Christmas would be complete without raucous parlor games?
Enter Omid Scobie, Target's answer to a court jester.
Charades is so stuffy Sandringham, he says. Fantastical fire-side storytelling is much more modern. The more stupendously make-believe the better.
And so Omid knits a yarn so hysterically phoney and bold, the Sussex family clan fashion matching cardigans and beanies.
These prove perfect for a post-lunch walk on the beach, where they launch ships in bottles to those less fortunate across the globe who aren't lucky enough to have Netflix, newspapers, access to the internet or really any way of hearing H&M's grumbles of grievance.
Back home it's time for gifts under the family spruce - felled from a private jet-offsetting forest.
For Harry from Meghan, a tube of Dr Freud's favorite todger tincture and a new necklace (his last one broke - don't ask how!).
For Meghan from Harry, a stunning tennis bracelet of shimmering blood diamonds.
For the children, a tough lesson that good things come to those who wait, marry rich, or star briefly on Deal Or No Deal. (That's something Meghan learnt from Mandela.)
Beware: a grinch! Samantha Markle pulls up in an Uber armed with gift-wrapped court papers addressed to her sister. How cruel to treat a sibling that way, Harry says.
And what Royal Californian Christmas would be complete without raucous parlor games? Enter Omid Scobie (above), Target's answer to a court jester.
Here's Doria and Tyler Perry, too - rocking up in a Hertz electric-car rental.
Now it's time for the King's speech.
But just then, gathered round the 100' flatscreen, Harry reclining in his hand-carved reclaimed-mahogany throne with vegan pudding in hand, the cable goes out. The TV plunges into darkness.
Asked why she was seen with wire cutters by the fuse box, Meghan says recollections may vary.
And so, in lieu of Charles's festive message, they turn to draw up this year's naughty list of people who have wronged the Duke and Duchess of righteous indignation.
Enemy No.1: The Evil Media. (WAAAGH!)
Enemy No.2: The entire British public. (Colonizers!)

Also included: Bill 'f***ing grifters' Simmons and Disney, who continue to refuse to offer Meghan a well-earned lead roll.
Looking ahead to the new year, H&M mentally prepare for another twelve months of being begged for content, lifestyle guidance, therapy advice, and thoughts on how to live in truth.
A 2024 relaunch of the The Tig/Instagram/Suits spinoff/general good works? Just you wait - and wait!
All that's then left is a toast to success, wealth, celebrity friends, humility and freedom."

Very interesting that Spotify dumped them… because they were also very animated sending their PR pieces about Archetypes being No.1 and how she did it and how she was at the level of Rogan (as if). only her fans were believing her ‘success’ there, while we see the debacle when her best episode (the first one) only could ranked no.11, then next were between 12-19th.
Do you think the same fate can be expected for Netflix?
That’s why isn’t good thing to brag about being paid millions (when the deal was a different thing) or sending Scobie to say that they were building a ‘billionaire empire’ 🤣. No wonder why he has been crying for his security (costs a lot). But hey, they have the millions they made while working royals with the merching
I think Spotify fudged the numbers when Meghan's podcast was #1 for "weeks" at the beginning because they used that to draw in listeners.
But the last podcast it was debuting pretty far down on the top 100 list which is never good when you sink that type of money into a project like that. The $20m was what the contract could potentially be worth but that also included cost of producing the episodes which Spotify eventually had to hire and pay producers on top of what they had already given M&H.
I think they were probably given something around $3M to begin with as initial payment and startup/producing costs. More than likely they spent this on nothing to do with the actual production of their podcast. Spotify later had to step in and hire their own production people to get the podcast done which means that Harry & Meghan fully expected $20M to be handed over to them and they weren't going to have to do any of the work.
As for Netflix, I know their series was the second most watched Documentary Netflix has ever produced but it couldn't crack any of the other shows for top 10 ratings. Even when it was released, "Wednesday" was still number one. The Rotten Tomato ratings are not great either.
So while Netflix got some of their money back, not sure if it is anywhere near the amount they spent on production costs or travel...

What would you say to Harry? by u/Economy-Alfalfa-2241
What would you say to Harry? So, in a hypothetical world where we all have an opinion, what would you say to Dimbo if you could? Or Meghan? Or the kids?I'm going to do my annual nice because I'm running out of year soooo...Don't get me wrong, I *despise* his behaviour. He can't even begin to comprehend the wider ramifications, we should have reeled him in and chloroformed him if necessary, don't even get me started on Ghastlywife etc etc. But ahead of all that - which I would shout a lot, repeatedly, later. So just for now and probably for ever, "*you can always go home.*Yes, it will be embarrassing. Yes, you will have to eat Humble Pie with a heavy slosh of Mortified Custard and yes, it's all a bit bigger than family. But when you've thunked your thunkings, taken your accountabilities and sorried your sorries, a heartfelt regret voiced to one gets you absolution from the whole. We don't want to dislike you, we really don't. It's so much easier when we're not up the snotter with the RF; most of us like to hold you in a kind of benevolent ignorance and you must admit, it's a good deal. And yes, you have a LOT to rebuild but again, goodwill really does grease the bearings.Harry. Ask Siri to help with the big words, but they don't really matter. The words that matter are:You can always come home. And that goes for anyone - if you understand this, you'll understand why. "Spare" should never have been published because its a voyeuristic nosy around in someone else's mind that might've slipped its gimbals . That's nothing to do with Americans being more open or whatever bollox he's been led to believe cos I don't for one minute think any one of you would think it appropriate outside your closest friends ears or those of your therapist. How Harry went from conservative to vomiting up every second of every injustice for the entire world is...worrying (any psych people in here?)But I think Scobie's new shlockfest slammed the door for him. Or he may think it has. Some - well, most - of his slights were over such minutiae that I think they're maybe misperceptions rather than memories, and the obvious culprit is depression. He really does seem to have this bleak outlook that the distorted lens of depression casts across everything; every memory, every occasion, every event. But Scobie's book really removes any of what little nuance that remained after the rest of the whining and it draws a line much harder than any Harry has wanted to so far. It just seems like an aggressive move whereas Harry really relies on the passive-aggressive, he receives offences that haven't been sent. But if you get to the point where you can't see a way forward you always have to know there's a way back. I think I might be at the point of worrying about whether he knows that.I dunno. Praps I've been boiled too long and am going soft, but it's hard enough to do the accountability thing for any reason. It's hard to realise your perceptions were skewed, your memory the faulty one. So if it's hard when it's just a family who want to forgive and don't really see much to forgive anyway.....imagine what it's like thinking a whole country is against you. Yeeesh. On the other hand, it'll be that country paying so you can concentrate on screwing your head on straight with no teensy little worries like the mortgage or which box you left the kids in (dammit! I was determined to be snark-free. Huh!) so there's that. Swings n roundabouts. post link: https://ift.tt/y7Ogbs5 author: Economy-Alfalfa-2241 submitted: December 11, 2023 at 08:42PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

the helmet stays on - dinluke fic rec, vol.2
Tumblr media
The helmet stays on, second volume of dinluke smut fics. Same criteria as the first volume - not all fics may have explicit rating/ scenes but all have that sweet, sweet tension of getting together. Softer fics first, and always heed the authors’ tags!
you are in love by coffeecatsme [T, 21,3k Part 1 of swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover, Modern AU] Tropes - Streamer AU, youtubers, fail boat Luke, the helmet stays on
The first time Luke reacts to Mando, it’s at his fans’ insistence—or if Luke has to be honest with himself, their fault that he embarrassed himself in front of ten thousand people and lost his favorite flannel to mayonnaise and ketchup. Or, 5 times Luke reacts to Din's videos and 1 time he gets invited to them.
Bright star, would I were steadfast by SunshineAndaLittleFlour [NC-17, 7,5k, Modern AU] Tropes - NASA AU, astronaut Din, NASA engineer Luke, meddling friends, first time
“That’s disgusting,” Jyn said, not even looking up from her screen. “You’re disgusting.” “He’s in love,” Lando replied, flashing both of them a charming grin. Jyn grunted. “That’s worse.” Luke felt his face pinken. “I’m not in love—I’m allowed to appreciate another scientist’s form and expertise,” he said, ignoring the irritated ping that came from his computer, R2 drawing his attention to an error in his code. or, the NASA!AU no one asked for
No star is lost at all from all the star-sown sky by SunshineAndaLittleFlour [NC-17, 12,9k, Modern AU] Tropes - NASA AU, astronaut Din, astronaut Luke, coworkers, meddling friends, first time
Dr. Luke Skywalker, youngest astronaut NASA had ever hired, looked at him expectantly. Din wet his lips in the hopes that it would encourage his brain to come up with an answer, but nothing came out. He just kept staring at Dr. Skywalker, his brain stuck like a scratched CD, singing the same line of the same song over and over again: Astronauts aren’t supposed to be this hot. or, another NASA AU but shifted slightly to the left
save a bike, ride a mando by silvyri [NC-17, 12,9k, WIP, Modern AU] Tropes - kindergarten teacher Luke, biker Din, meet cute.
Tonight is not Luke's night. His car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, his phone is out of battery, and it's going to take him hours to walk back into town. Not to mention he's getting harassed by a guy in a truck who's either a serial killer or just doesn't know how to take no as an answer. A biker bar might be his salvation.
No half of you by Scoby [M, 8k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Mand’alor Din, Jedi Luke, political marriage, sparring, identity reveal, the helmet stays on
“You want to spar?” Luke’s face lit up with an eager, gorgeous smile that Din had never seen so far and that he absolutely needed to see more of. “Yeah, sure! I’m Luke.” He offered his hand and Din shook it. “I know you.” For a while, Luke squinted in confusion, so Din elaborated: “Of course I do. You’re the Mand’alor’s husband. I’m Din.” “Nice to meet you, Din.” Din’s heart skipped a beat at how his own name sounded in Luke’s voice. He should have given it to him a lot earlier. Where a political marriage between the Mand'alor and the Last Jedi starts off miserably, but Din finds another way to get close to Luke
I'll Keep the King by snapdragonpop007 [T, 3k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Mand’alor Din, Consort Luke, bodyguard Luke, established relationship
The Mand'alor never travels anywhere with a personal guard. His only companion is his consort, a pretty little prince from Naboo who looks like he's never seen a real fight in his entire life.
Suum ca'nara by DarkIsRising [M, 3,6k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Jedi Luke, first time, there’s only one bed, the helmet stays on
Prompt: Shed a tear for the life you almost lived, but look at what you found “Ah, here it is,” the receptionist says, pulling up blue lines of data on her holoscreen, and Luke’s attention turns back to her. “Biggsby. Yes, and I see we’ve got the Celebration Suite reserved. Special occasion?” Her eyes dart from Din to Luke, like she’s come to some conclusion about them that Din doesn’t want to think too hard about even as heat builds along his face. Luke is unbothered and, with a smoothness that only makes Din’s blush flare hotter, quips: “Every day with this guy is a special occasion” before sliding her a card for their room charges.
Meteors by shirozora [M, 4,2k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - sparring, blindfold, Jedi Luke
Din can and will beat Luke at lightsaber combat, and Luke really likes that.
Surrounded by stories surreal and sublime by SunshineAndaLittleFlour [NC-17, 4,8k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Jedi Luke, established relationship, public s*ex
“I don’t think—” Luke starts, trying to grab it again, but Din’s already opening the book to the middle, silent as he reads.Several beats go by, Luke counting them with his racing heart, before Din looks up at him again.“Why,” he rasps, and just the hint of gravel in his voice sends something else racing through Luke, something that lights at the tip of his fingers and pools warmth in his gut, “does the Coruscant library have this in their collection of Jedi tomes?”
Comets Passing by Celestial_Alignment [NC-17, 26k, Part 1 of Skydalorian series, SW Universe] Tropes - pre series meeting on Tatooine, alternate first meeting,  bounty hunter Din, mechanic Wormie Luke, first time, blindfold, the helmet stays on
The Mandalorian ends up at Tosche Station and meets a desert youth who is apparently named "Wormie."
Dear Fellow Traveler by TheSexierEvilerCora [NC-17, 10,6k, SW Universe] Tropes - meet cute with violence, cat and mouse game, secret identity, alternate first meeting, Jedi Luke, the helmet stays on
Luke is stuck on a hostile prison ship, without his lightsaber, under a false Imperial identity, and with no backup. His only hope is to bide his time and lay low until he sees an opportunity to arm himself and escape. Then a shipment of confiscated beskar is moved into lockup. Shortly after, the disappearances start.
Voracity by bronze_lorica [NC-17, 36,5k, WIP, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Sith Luke, bounty hunter Din, meet cute with violence,  the helmet stays on
Din meets a hot Sith, and thought he was just getting a quick fling. His connection to Luke drags him into a darker relationship, as the war between the Jedi and the Sith escalates.
Dreams of Rain by orphan_account [NC-17, 11,3k, Star Wars Universe] Tropes - Mand’alor Darth Maul, secret affair, slave Luke, omega Luke
How could fate make him so lucky, Luke wonders, and so unlucky at the same time. Here is this man, this gentle considerate man who chance has matched him to—and Luke can’t even touch him.

Scobie draws the interesting conclusion that Ripley's impregnation by the alien in Alien³ partly represents her survivor's guilt over the death of her surrogate daughter Newt -- not directly relevant to Alternian GRIEF and its potential connection to sexuality, but the best I could think to look for.
Article also mentions in passing that TS Eliot had his own phrase for the use of external monsters as manifestations of internal conflict, so I'm going to be looking up the "objective correlative" presently.

Title
Endgame
Author
Omid Scobie
About
The follow-up book to Finding Freedom.
On September 8, 2022 the world stood still as news broke of Queen Elizabeth's II passing. Her death dismantled the protective shield around the world's most famous family and saw a long simmering crisis of confidence in the British monarchy boil over.
The end of the New Elizabethan age brings in a shorter Carolean era. With this traditional reign comes a brewing power struggle between father ( King Charles III) and son ( William, Prince of Wales) and an outmoded institution riddled with dysfunction, mistrust, and poor judgement. As investigations into the Firm's costs and conduct mount, and their dangerous game with an insatiable press continues, cracks are forming in the House of Windsor's foundations. Now a growing population feel more comfortable than ever questioning the monarchy's relevancy - or the need for one at all.
Omid Scobie has spent over twelve years covering the lives and work of the Royal Family. His unique position as a young British journalist in the America media helped him forge special bonds within William's, Kate's,  Harry's, and eventually Meghan's worlds. It was from that vantage point he coauthored the bestselling Finding Freedom in 2020, an intimate glimpse into a fracturing family - one that could be splintered beyond repair. Though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are no longer a part of the monarchy's future, their experiences and actions, good and bad, have put a spotlight on many of the problems at the heart of the institution. With unique insight, deep access, and a willingness to burn his bridges to tell the full story, Scobie draws a candid portrait of a family in peril and a monarchial system facing uncertainty.
Endgame is the result of more than a decade of unseen reporting and intimate conversations with insiders, Royal Family members, fellow journalists, and those working within the palace walks.
Our world is modernizing at a pace that the Royal Institution is failing to keep up with, but there is still time for change. This is the Monarchy's endgame... Do they have what it takes to save it?
Review
This book is perfect for people like me who can't get enough Royal Gossip.
Endgame is a follow up to the book “Finding Freedom”.
Granted it is blatantly obvious that this book was written from a one sided perspective and most of the information shared is from “ anonymous sources from inside the palace” so I take everything with a grain of salt.
Endgame continues to push the victim narrative to a whole new level while trash talking every single member of the Royal Family and their assistants.
There is so much trash talking in this book that you don't want to keep reading but it's so juicy you just can't stop until you finish the book.
Based on the prologue of this book  it seemed to be written to boost Prince Harry and Meghan’s name / brand but sadly fell short. Very, very short.
Instead based on the book and everything contained in it they come off as narcissistic, manipulative ,spoiled brats.
Sadly, this book definitely did more harm than good to their image.

Hello rumor tracking anon 👋🏻 I'm really sad with the horrible way almost all of the western media ganged up and bashing Princess Catherine for something so insignificant just because she refused to divulge her medical records information with the nobodies. She and the babies are subjects horrible memes now. What do you think KP should do in future to ensure they put these rogue press in their places and never bow down to their ridiculous demands of more access into the Waleses' private lives?
Part of it is that their hands are tied because of William's position as Prince of Wales and future king. They're public officials whose lives are subsidized by taxpayer monies, which means they have to allow the people access to parts of their lives. For much of modern history, the people have used the fourth estate as their representatives to the royals (and vice versa), but at some point the press appointed themselves as judge, jury, and executioner of the royal family, which caused most of them to go on enormous power trips and develop astounding cases of entitlement.
Anyway, KP being a quasi-public office means they:
Can't try to censor the press, control what they print, or regulate what the internet/social media says about them. Harry already tried and it's going to be worse if William tries.
Can't not talk to the press. Certainly, William and Kate individually and personally can not talk to the press and just let the KP office speak for them every/any time - but they do this already for the most part.
Can't not include journalists or the rota in their events. They're public officials. Their work has to be covered by the public, no matter how rogue or cooperative their representatives (the press) are.
But there's a loophole. There are a couple loopholes, actually:
KP can either work with the press or without the press - i.e. go directly to the people themselves.
KP can draw separate mutually-exclusive boundaries around private lives/children and their work.
KP can move farther away from the media hub of London.
Work with or without the media
Reform the rota. The main issue here is how? Term limits on the royal beat? Expanding the rota and diversifying the publications represented? Blocking where, when, and how the rota accompanies them (like Anne is able to)? That's something KP/William would need to negotiate with the rota, and based on what Scobie said in Endgame, the rota is not interested in changing anything unless they can personally benefit to the exclusion of everyone else.
Cut the press out of their dealings. This means communicating directly to the people via their social media accounts, which means more transparency. They've started this by controlling who and when photographs of their children are shared, now let's take it a step or two further and start using your social media or an official KP website to more broadly communicate and promote their work and engagements. The press can and will continue to cover them, but by reducing their exclusivity, KP can control the narrative a little better. What does this look like?
KP publishing their press releases, statements, announcements, and photographs exclusively to social media or a website.
Not giving the rota access to their friends for the big articles.
Commissioning and making documentaries of their work. A lot of what they already do is perfect for documentaries and longer content forms. I mean, Earthshot is primed for a documentary series to follow up on their winners or other finalists, show some of the decision-making, etc. When they travel, make a documentary about the trip. Or even produce documentaries/programs about their charities and patronages - they don't have to be in it!
Start using their YouTube channel and create more longer-form content instead of these 40-second Instagram reels. Where are they going? Who are they meeting? Why are they going to these places? What do these charities do? Show us everything that the rota or the press would ordinarily report on, and in doing so they'd take power away from the media.
Become more selective of who gets their personal photographs. Say no. Authorize it only for rota publications. Give the exclusive to one publication at at time. Make everyone use only what was posted.
Reform the KP staff. Especially the communications team. Bring in a lawyer or two. Hire some real communications/PR experts. Get a real social media manager to manage and organize your content. Prioritize communications as equally as the charity work instead of leaving it an afterthought. Develop and implement standards/policies for press engagement like:
KP Comms will accept press inquiries Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm. Press inquiries/requests submitted outside these hours will be addressed within working hours only.
All press inquiries/requests must be answered. Even if it's "no comment," every inquiry/request gets a response so that when a publication does become impatient and writes "KP has not responded," we pull them on the carpet for not giving us a chance to respond.
No comments or answers on questions concerning private matters (e.g. Kate's health) and our minor/still-in-school children.
(I've no idea if this is feasible or not. The bottom line is KP needs to introduce clear standards for working with and handling the press so the fourth estate can't use "they didn't respond to our request for comment" as a weapon anymore.)
Work more. Rumors and conspiracy theories exist when there's an absence of information. When there's no information or there's very little information, we make things up to explain what we see or don't see. The only way to address that is to give more information. And for KP, that means William and Kate both need to work more. They need to be seen more.
We know they're working. We see the results, but it's not enough anymore. They need to be showing progress towards those results. Show us the meetings you're having. Show us the visits you're making. Show us why this work and these accomplishments are important. Show us the meaning and the impact. Show us the bang your taxpayer's pound sterling.
If they want to keep their engagement numbers low because family first, that's fine - but it needs to be compensated elsewhere, and that is not happening currently (excluding the ongoing health crises). Yes, they prefer quality over quantity but what good is quality when you can't see it?
And that's where their content channels and social media can be helpful. (Just to make it full circle.) If they satisfy the people, the press and the media has no choice but to fall in line because the people - their consumers - aren't going to buy their products when they criticize the people they support and like. We see this happen all the time.
Boundaries
So then the next piece of it is their private lives, especially the children. For me, it seems like KP is under the impression that people are only interested in them for their private lives and the children.
I don't think that's true. I think because they're not very transparent about a lot of their work, whether it's the official royal stuff or the Royal Foundation or their personal charity work, people/the fourth estate default to wanting information about their private lives and the children. Maybe this is foolhardy of me, but I truly believe if William and Kate worked more and showed us their work more, most people would feel very satisfied by it and be very happy with the little we get about the children.
So we don't actually need to see the children, and KP doesn't need to include the children in their content. And frankly, KP shouldn't be including the kids in their content until they're old enough and responsible enough to consent to it - so the cadence they've struck with providing access to the children is perfect (family photos 4 times a year, individual photos for birthdays and special milestones, and 3-5 family work events/engagements a year).
On that note, I think KP underestimates how interested the normal general public would be in content produced about or for their work. I mean, people liked Kate and people liked William long before there were children in the picture, and people will continue liking them long after the children are grown and have flown the nest cottage. So why not go back to that very basic element: the main attractions at KP are William and Kate themselves.
Kate narrating a documentary about bee-keeping and honeymaking? Earthshot giving us a 6 episode documentary series about their winners narrated by Cate Blanchett or a 2-hour special about Cape Town and South Africa (and every Earthshot city) by David Attenborough or a local expert? A 30-minute travel program about Cornwall by the Duchy of Cornwall? 3-minute YouTube videos about their charities and patronages produced by the people who work there or who benefit from services posted ahead of their visits? William narrating a documentary about his homeless initiative in Cornwall? A summer exhibition in KP's display hall of Kate's dresses or a Kate-curated show of the Royal Collection or loans from her patronages?
My god, everyone would go ballistic. No one would even care that the kids weren't included.
Physical Distance / Move Away
Then finally, the third option for KP would be to move further away from the nucleus/media hub that is London. It does seem like the farther one lives from London, the easier time it takes to keep the press and media out of their personal lives. We see it with Anne (in Gloucestershire), Edward and Sophie (in Bagshot), and we saw it with the then-Cambridges when they lived at Anmer Hall 2014 - 2017 and during the pandemic. We also saw it with Charles, also in Gloucestershire at Highgrove House (albeit less successfully because he courted the press there at times).
The precedence is there for William and Kate to move their family farther out. Norfolk is out of the question because Rose is there so it would likely cause more media intrusion, so they'd have to find another place, one on enough acreage to ensure security and privacy and good schools. But they just moved the kids to a new school two years ago and would they want to uproot them again? Or so soon? Probably not.
So the only thing KP can really do to block, or further regulate, demands for access to their private lives is work. Simply put, William and Kate need to do more of it, more frequently, more openly, and more transparently. Give something for people to talk about so there's no time, space, or air for rumors, conspiracy theories, shame, or criticism. But unfortunately, that's not their priority. Their priority is family - which is totally and completely 100% fine - but KP is unwilling to see that boundaries around private lives doesn't mean boundaries around work. Or maybe they can't see how boundaries around the home and boundaries around work can be completely distinct and separate because how traumatic the media intrusion has been for much of their lives.
Anyway. Queen for a day, that's what I'd do. I'd sit William, Kate, and KP down and say "listen, something's gotta give. You want more privacy, you need to pay for it. You can pay for it with your work (do more of it), your kids (put them out in public more), your words (talk more), your distance (live farther from London and commute daily), or your sanity and health (do nothing and let the press run roughshod all over you). What's it going to be?"
And the thing is, it's not a unique question. Everyone everywhere has had to deal with this: what's my priority and how am I going to pay for it? KP has just skated for a very long time on do-nothing-and-hope-for-the-best and as we've all seen in the last 8 weeks, that plan doesn't work anymore.
Re-reading this before I post, I'm pretty sure I lost the plot somewhere in here. Sorry, readers!
