I came up with the idea for this after practicing gestures and thumbnail sketches from the MGR artbook. Because of that I tend to think of this character as thicc girl-Raiden, even though her design was kept a lot simpler than his for my sanity. Also, there’s that colour scheme again.

I didn’t finish anything new today, which means the thing I’m working on now ended up being too ambitious for me to finish in a day, again. Let’s hope I at least learn something from it along the way. We’ll see tomorrow how it goes, but for now I hope some older stuff from my DA account is enough.

Ritual by Legomania. Ever since the drone uprising, when we overthrew the filthy humans, we have performed human sacrifice at the end of every Droneuary. This ritual signifies where we ascended from, and also reminds humans of our continued dominance, keeping them in their place. Death to all meatbags! ---------- Definitely my darkest build ever thematically, but I've had this idea for a year and thought it would make for a really cool looking build despite how dark it is. After not building anything for Droneuary the past two years I really needed to make something this year, and since I'd already had this idea for awhile I figured it was time to actually do it (Plus I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make mohawked priest drones!). Hope you all like it, I'm very happy with how it turned out, apparently I'm addicted to doing scenes with complex lighting after this one and my recent cyberpunk scene. a quick update on my personal stuffs on the side, I found a really interesting model on CGtrader by Michael Gallie and had decided to check it out.

I am trying to create a look similiar to a sci-fi scene, hoping to create a “Alien” kinda look, but attempting to not make it look as cold and scary.

next up I’ll be challenging myself on my shading skills; in trying to work on the whole scene with just procedural shaders. my aim is to make this piece look more exciting as this progresses on.
