just a sappy psa that I appreciate any and all comments on my traditional work. a lot.

Bridging the gap between physical and digital art has always been difficult for me due to the way paintings are perceived in person vs as images (imitations) in a screen, somewhat due to the attitudes of my mentors for both. Unfortunately, I cannot drag you all to a nicely lit studio to peer at the little brushstrokes and layers in the work, or print a true-to-form version of my digital work and hang it up on a wall (there is a lot more to be said about that in another post). Art is, quite plainly, different when the viewer is face to face with 3 ft of manual labor. So seeing people love what I often consider to be "lesser" forms of my work is so, so inspiring, and is frankly a reality check.

When I get over the fact that few cameras or lighting scenarios can live up to my expectations for photo quality, I will be happy to share more of my work from the last 3 years that has, for the most part, gone unseen by the audience that has supported me for much longer.
