Putin is making the Soviet involvement in Afghanistan look like the good old days.
Tumblr media
Russian fatalities as of Sunday are now greater than the individual populations of 21 US state capitals. That number surpassed the population of Springfield, Illinois (114,394) a couple of days ago.
FYI: Monday is Day 337 of Putin’s two-day “special operation”.
The current project (not counting murdering Ukrainian civilians) by Russia is the attempt to capture the town of Soledar with its salt mines. Even if the Russians succeed, it’s mostly a useless effort which has been costing Russia thousands of lives. A geologist describes the mines of Soledar.

Ukraine could always copy Tywin Lannister and simply flood those tunnels if Russia captures them.

The lack of praise for his group's role in what would be Russia’s largest battlefield success in months drew a sharp response from Prigozhin.
The millionaire former restaurateur and ally of President Vladimir Putin claimed victory in Soledar on Wednesday, and the Wagner Group posted a photo that appeared to show Prigozhin with fighters in one of the town's salt mines.
In an interview with Russian broadcaster RTVI on Friday, Prigozhin accused the military of “constantly trying to steal Wagner’s victory.”

Talking with my dad (who has opened up so much on personality and topics) and he said michigan has earthquakes.
I said bull shit.
Look it up: my dad knew the dates of both of the BIG ones (over 4.0) of recent. Here's the order:
90% detroit.
Seriously. Like THAT much. IN THE WHOLE STATE. And no joke my dad said the same thing as me, same time almost (and we have NEVER discussed this):
It's the salt mines.
Cuz they keep robbing ALL the land beneath us in a dozen different ways (HOW IS FRACKING STILL LEGAL?!), and it upsets everything on top of it. That's logic! Fucking sink holes are magic, right?
side note-not my dad, me: what if that is what a HUGE chunk of earthquakes are caused by? Us removing LAND BENEATH US AND THINKING IT EFFECTS NOTHING.
I saw pics of them only recently. They are DEEP, DARK, AND WIDE (also, cuz tho my dad doesn't have facebook but I think he'd enjoy it, 'that's what she said.')

Sinkhole grows 🤦🏾‍♀️ where did it start, who, what ?uggh well. This mine was operated by the Texas Brine Company and in 2010 it failed a routine pressure test.
Leaving most wondering why, what are the officials capable of doing about it, or will it eventually swallow Louisiana?😳🧐Texas Brine Company 🤔mining salt🤨😒

I'm not sure why crispy chickpeas aren't everywhere as like a top ADHD snack because they are:
Delicious (so you will actually seek them out/want to eat them)
Crispy (a good stim for texture people)
Easy to make (super hands off, they just roast for like 30 minutes while you do something else)
Healthy (it's literally just beans! Such protein!)
Versatile (you can switch up the seasonings if you get tired of one flavor; you can also put them on/in a bunch of different dishes)
Cheap AF & forgiving of your timeline (a can of chickpeas won't go bad in your pantry if you don't have the energy to make something with them this week)
So here's the resippy.
Cooked chickpeas (I usually use one can)
Olive oil
Salt
Paprika or curry powder or rosemary or your favorite spice (optional)
Steps:
Drain and rinse your chickpeas.
Dump them onto a towel or paper towel and rub them dry a bit.
Remove any loose skins. If you're feeling extra you can remove all the skins; this makes them slightly crispier. I do not find this to be worth it.
Put them on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper if you want to save yourself some cleanup). Toss with a drizzle of olive oil, a generous pinch or two of salt, and your seasoning.
Roast in your oven. I usually do 400°F for about 25-30 minutes, but this is pretty forgiving and you can do 425 for 20 minutes or whatever you want to do
Taste a chickpea. It should have an audible crunch. If it doesn't, put it back in until it does
When done, taste for seasoning and add any additional salt or seasoning you want. Proceed to devour them.
These are best fresh, but I still like them later on (if I don't eat them all right away). Store in an airtight container for a couple days at room temp or a few days in the fridge.
Enjoy!!
