ok!! i dont know much lore so thats not what this is about i will just talk about the game in general👍

(for talking about the story/events of the game ill just use first person the whole time it feels more normal i think.)

the basic idea of how the game works is it's a desktop text-based rpg game where you do stories and tasks and get items.

the story begins with you having just gotten to london (which is underground.). you were immediately arrested and taken to new newgate prison, where your cellmate helps you escape. and then you pick where you live (this can change its just where you start). different places focus on the four main "attributes" one can have which are shadowy, watchful, dangerous, & persuasive. i picked spite which is the shadowy location!

(also there are other attributes apart from those four, including respectable, dreaded, [these next two are more skills] monstrous anatomy, & mithridacy. those are just the ones i have. there are "menaces" as well which are basically the bad attributes. those are nightmares, wounds, scandal, & suspicion. and others but theyre less common & i dont have those)

right now i am situated in someone's attic. the rat that lives with me wants me to move somewhere thats not an attic but i have bigger things to worry about.

i currently have a job as a minor poet (i want to become a campaigner or journalist eventually) 👍

there are groups one can be associated with like criminals, the police, revolutionaries, artists, the church, &c... as i've said i've been trying to be associated with the revolutionaries! i will need a lot more money for a special pin though </3. and i dont really know at all how to make money other than selling things....

the main story of the game is called your "ambition", which from what i've heard take about a year to complete, as opposed to smaller stories you can complete in a very short amount of time if focus on them. these include "nemesis", where you try to hunt down the murderer of someone you knew; "bag a legend", where you try to catch some manner of beast i suppose; "light fingers", where you try to steal a big diamond but apparently about a third of the way through there's a big twist and it turns into a really dark horror story; and "heart's desire", where you try to get involved in a gamble for your soul so you can win your heart's desire of course. im probably going to do "bag a legend" when i feel ready to start one :-)

by the way the current event i've been talking about with the airships &c. is an annual thing called "estival". this year it's gardening + a war of sorts. (note: by the time i got into doing this event it was pretty much over; i can still play through it but im not actually helping the war effort im just getting items). i grew a nice plant and got a prize and then i went to a building related to the gardening competition, where a stalactite fell on the building and also on me. sad! and then these ghouls called "starved" started crawling out of it iirc. i ran away and did some helpful things and the ghouls were fought off. but it turns out that they plan to expose london to the sun and burn it to a crisp, i guess? im not really sure i cant remember anything. so we have to go look at the ceiling to figure out whats going on exactly. and someone was like "hey guy still severely injured from a stalactite falling on you!! come captain an airship and look at the ceiling!" and i did and it didn't go very well but i was able to obtain more items. and now im in the midst of the final(?) mission where all the airships are going together

this is kind of a mess but yeah there is something about fallen london !!

Lol thank you. Also i didn't put a lot of details because i didn't want to come off as aggressive/demanding. But im using a tablet connected to my desktop and im using photoshop. I guess my main issue is coloring digital. I can do it traditional but digitally it just never comes off right when i do it. Just... colors man. My local colors are fine but anything more than that it comes off bad. Actually now that im writing this i probably just need to do some more studies. SO actually do you have any tips about layers/layer blending modes?

ok so the color thing is Super common because the color theory in digital is just slightly different from in traditional so everything just feels off if you're used to trad

So, screens use rgb displays, and photoshop can either work in rgb(red green blue) or cymk (cyan yellow magenta black), this is important because it means every color is a mix of either rgb or cymk as opposed to what traditional artists would be used to, which is ryb (red yellow blue). this leads to some color mixings just not working the way they should,

maroon mixed with an equal amount of cyan in paint will make a nice purple but in digital it will make a nasty grey.

to work around this you need to think of every color as having a cool and warm varient, cools work best with cools and warms work best with warms. so a cool blue will look best next to a cool red as apposed to a warm red.

and the digital color wheel is drastically different from the trad color wheel because what can be displayed on a screen isnt every color possible, which means that trying to use the standard color combo formats on a digital color wheel is pointless and you need to be referencing a trad color wheel like this one.

and now onto advice about layers.

but more seriously, layers are typically sorted into four groups, i cant remember the order they are in photoshop so you're going to have to put up with the painter order, sorry,

group one is all the layers that make things darker, these are your burns, multiplies, and darkens. they make the colors beneath them darker based on the color of the working layer using different math formulas. i am not good at math nor do i remember which formula goes to which layer type.

group two makes things lighter

group 3 does both

and group 4 are effect layers, which i dont think photoshop actually has, they get sorted under other tools if memory serves.

take the time to figure out which group each layer type belongs to and roughly what they do. this will just Drastically speed up your work flow. but when all else fails there's nothing stopping you from just scrolling through the layer styles until you find one you like.

and now onto misq layer advice

photshop lets you group layers. Group Your Layers, its quick, and it'll help you find things a Lot quicker.

also Lock your layers when you're done with them so that you dont draw on the wrong layer,

ideally you should get in the habit of naming them too, but only nerds who can read actually name their layers.

merge your layers too, once you're done with them merge them, having a trillion layers makes your computer sad and more likely to throw a fit (read: crash) it also makes navigation Infinitely easier

if you're more of a painter, use fewer layers. photoshop especially Hates it when you use a blending/painting brush with sample lower layers enabled, it just Chugs and crashes a lot, so trying to do all of your painting on one or two layers is Very important to not wanting to yeet your computer and strangle adobe.

and a final not is this, find the curves tab, and have it open and easily accessible on your layout at all times, i personally liked keeping mine on the right side above my layers and below my color wheel.

the curves panel is your new best friend, use it, go to the movies with it, fall in love with it, marry the god damned curves panel. it will make your coloring life Infinitely easier.

You arrived in Korea to start living your dream, or so you thought until you meet a man that woman dream of throwing themselves on. His entry into your new life takes you down a rocky path where friends will become enemies and foes will make themselves be known.

The next day things had started without a hitch. You had gone to the company to get your official name badge and started to set up your office so it felt more like your own. You had organized a file on your computer for each other the boys in exo so that you could keep track of each boys schedule, progress with English lessons, and take notes.

The boys’ previous English instructor had sent you an email with references as to where each of the members were as far as studying and materials that you could use during lessons. You had smiled at your desktop and thought back to the day that Baekhyun had asked you to help him with English… if not for that day you wouldn’t be where you are now and you decided that you would thank him later.

But the more that you let yourself think about how he went through your phone and found you the more you started to feel a little uneasy. Had it had been any other person in the world you would have felt incredibly uncomfortable and maybe even unsafe. What had started off as unsolicited hitting on turned into him essentially stocking your information and then calling you to beg for help.

You immediately let out a deep breath and promised yourself that you would pocket all of those feelings and emotions. At the time sure you had some red flags but after getting to know Baekhyun you no longer had any alarms going off in your head. Plus if it weren’t for that unfortunate beginning to your friendship then you wouldn’t be where you are right now.

A knocking at the door caught your attention and you immediately called out for whoever was at the door to come in. you waited with a polite smile and when you saw the familiar long hair of johnny at your office door you smiled.

“hi” was all he said as he stood awkwardly by the door like a little schoolboy

“hey” you said back giving him a warm smile “watcha doing here?”

He took a seat in the chair directly in front of your desk and cleared his throat before he looked back up to you. You watched and waited for him to answer you or at least say something else, and as the seconds went by and the room was still silent you began to smile wider and wider.

“johnny?” you asked

“I’m sorry. I’m just-“ he smiled up at you and then looked down again “I’m just a little tired” he finally said

“what time did you get here this morning?” you asked him

“8am” he answered

You looked over at the clock on your computer monitor and you noticed that the time was only 12. Perhaps he got home late last night. Or maybe he was so tired that he couldn’t sleep.

“so I wanted to ask you if you would eat lunch with me today.” He said keeping a straight face. “I mean I figured that you may not know about the good places to eat around here yet or have any friends to eat with so I thought id take you somewhere” he said nervously explaining away

You chuckled and smiled at him as you asked him “you think I don’t have friends?”

Johnny’s eyes went wide and you knew that he felt a sense of panic since he had essentially called you a loner. And it wasn’t that he was wrong and you weren’t offended either, but you knew that he wasn’t in his right mind and you wanted to give him a little bit of hell.

“I didn’t mean it like that! I just mean that since you just got here-“ he yelled as he explained

“its okay…. Im just messing with you.” You said with a smile. You stood up and grabbed your purse and watched as johnny remained seated “come on… where are you gonna take me?” you asked

The practice room…. He took you to the practice room to eat with you. You looked around and let out a happy chuckle as you looked around the room that you had seen so many times on the internet and in dance practice videos. And while it wasn’t the place that you had really anticipated eating in you knew that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in the same place that so many of your favorite idols had been before.

“is it just you and I?” you asked him, confused as to why the room was so empty

“yeah” johnny said taking a look around until he saw something that caught his eye. He ran off towards a counter in the back corner of the room and grabbed a bag that had takeout inside. “everyone usually likes to go out and eat or they have other schedules and they eat on the way”

He sat down in the middle of the floor and he opened up the containers one by one. Kimchi fried rice, kimbap, rice cakes, and fishcakes were opened one by one and as you smelled the aroma of each dish your mouth began to water.

“I didn’t know what you liked so I ordered all of my favorites assuming that you must like at least one of them” johnny said as he pulled out chopsticks and separated them for you.

“so do you not have any more work for the day?” you asked him

Johnny looked up at you and gave you a small sad smile. “its not that I don’t have any more work for the day, I just don’t have any individual work to do. When the group comes back then ill have more practice” he stated with a confident tone, but with one look in his eyes you could see that he was affected by his lack of work.

“at least you have time for a life. I mean you get to eat peacefully and enjoy taking midday naps.” You said with a smile hoping that it would cheer him up.

“I guess” he said before he let out a soft sigh “it gets tough being alone though. And since I cant really go outside and just do whatever I want to do, I almost just kind of wish that I would be working more.” He confessed.

You had no idea what you could say to make johnny feel better. And If you could make him feel even a fraction of a bit better you would do so in a heart beat.

You had always known that the companies of idol groups tend to have favorites and display that unequal kindness quite unashamedly. But to hear how sad johnny was and see the look in his eyes, you had realized that there could be a lot more hurt than you had ever thought.

The two of you ate comfortably as you enjoyed the food that johnny had prepared. The two of you had made small jokes back and forth with one another and it felt good to feel the energy of the room switch from sad to lively.

“if you ever want to eat lunch with me just text me” you said holding your hand out for johnny’s phone

“really?” johnny asked with a smile. He immediately looked down at your hand and eyed it for a moment before he placed his hand in yours.

You laughed and shook his hand off “not your hand! Give me your phone weirdo!”

“oh” was all he said as he fished his phone out from his pocket and handed it over to you

You quickly put your phone number into his phone and then handed it back to him. He looked at the contact and then smiled to himself before placing it back into his back pocket.

The two of you had wrapped up your meal and you were about to leave the practice rooms when suddenly johnny had cleared his throat, making you turn around.

“soo” he said as he put his hand on the back of his neck out of nervousness “I just wanted to say thank you for having lunch with me and being so fun… I really like you. And it’s a shame that you’ve already got a boyfriend.”

You were speechless that johnny had just said that he liked you. It was something that you could never even imagine would happen in this lifetime… or well ever. And yet after two days of knowing each other he has already said that he likes you. Your heart was pounding out of your chest and you felt like you were the most successful fan ever. Not only did you get to work with your favorite idols but you also got to-

“did you just say boyfriend?!” you asked him confused

Johnny looked back at you perplexed and he nodded his head. You took a second to think if you had ever mentioned anything about dating anyone or even liking anyone and you kept coming up short.

“what boyfriend?” you asked him

Johnny gave you a strange look before he finally answered you “Baekhyun said that you already had a boyfriend.” He looked up at the ceiling as if he was wracking his brain and trying to remember something “someone who was also from the states… I think he said his name was corey.”

“cole” you said to clarify

“yeah cole!” johnny said snapping his finger and pointing at you in confirmation.

You scoffed and looked down at your shoes. You couldn’t believe that Baekhyun would lie about something like whether you were single or not. Why would he even lie to begin with?

You were starting to feel like who your impression of Baekhyun was, was only who he wanted you to see. and the more that you were talking with other people about events involving him, the more that you found lie after lie. This on top of the whole phone incident was starting to not sit well with you and you were starting to lose some of your good impressions of him. And while it hurt to feel like the excitement from the night previously was diminishing you figured that it would be for the best to not get yourself involved with him anymore.

“yo hyung!” johnny called out to someone behind you and it snapped you out of your thoughts “did’nt you say that Emily had a boyfriend?”

You immediately turned around to see Baekhyun who looked like a frozen deer in headlights. You stayed put in your spot and watched as he panicked as to what to do next. He continued to choke on his words and with a scoff you turned around to face johnny once more.

“no I don’t have a boyfriend” you clarified to johnny “Cole is just one of my friends”

“oh” johnny said nonchalantly “well then if you aren’t seeing anyone would you maybe like to go out sometime?” he asked with a shy smile

You would be lying if you said that you were excited. The fact that Baekhyun was here and was still acting so shady had completely ruined your mood.

You knew that dating within the company was definitely a no-no. and while it wasn’t a written rule per say it was definitely an unspoken one, because the idols available image was very important to their marketability. But in this moment you wanted Baekhyun to get the message to stay away from you loud and clear.

Without a second though you smiled up to johnny, giving him your best fake smile before answering “sure. Id love that”

You didn’t care if Baekhyun had felt bad about seeing you and johnny agree to a date. It had infuriated you that he was manipulating so many people and doing so many shady things. And hopefully now he would leave you alone.

Steam hissed out of the electric iron as you pressed the steaming button. It was warm on your skin in the freezing cold of you and your husband's apartment. It was a simple and small space and both of you liked it that way. You especially loved the feeling of the cold wood floor underneath your feet in the morning, even if other people thought you were weird for that. 

Besides the dimly lit lamp in the corner, the perfectly white button up shirt on the ironing board were the only things lighting up your small living room. Inside the room was a long couch and a desk with a desktop that you and Aizawa shared. It was scattered with a mixture of your work papers and his students papers. 

The red light on the iron turned on letting you know that the iron was ready for use. You thought of your husband as you begin to press the hot metal over his shirt. It was 3 am in the morning and Aizawa had finally gone to sleep in your shared bed. 

You’d left work early to bring him lunch that day, because you were sure he didn’t bring any to work that day. One of his students Katsuki Bakugo had been kidnapped the night before by the League of Villans and, even if he didn't show it to his students, he was a wreck. You were greeted with small tight lip smiles when you’d walked into the teachers office carrying his lunch. Everyone was too busy with damage control and meetings to chat with their former co-worker. 

You’d worked for U.A for years, working side by side with Aizawa before you had the idea to open up your own company. It was still getting off the ground but you wanted to create a safe space for abandoned and homeless children with dangerous quirks. 

Usually Aizawa was able to sense your presence when you were close but today he had his head on the desk. His long black hair was cascading past his shoulders since he had it in a bun. It was your favorite look on him. But you knew that, usually the bun meant business. A single email web page was open on his computer. You softly put the food down on the table and knelt down next to him, placing a soft hand on his back. 

“Shouta?” You almost whispered. It hurt your heart to see him like this. He was always the composed one of the relationship. Always the one to ease your anxieties and be the yin to your yang. If you were freaking out, he was extra calm, soothing even. When he was extra anal you were there to help him loosen up. It was a good system. He opened his slightly bloodshot eyes and looked over at you. You could tell that he had been close to sleep but not quite there yet. 

“ Mei.” He said softly. It was his voice that he used when you were all alone, in your cold little apartment, and you couldn't help but give him a small smile. He was so cute without meaning to be. 

“I brought you some lunch. Come and eat with me.” 

You didn't phrase it as an option, because if you had, he would have declined politely and returned to his current state. 

You could see the reality of this setting into his eyes and he nodded, defeated but not upset. 

You stood up grabbing food you’d brought and made your way out of the room with him. The other staff were still busy chattering nervously about the current situation. 

It was a quiet walk back to your car which you chose because it would be quiet. You honestly hadn't planned on eating there. You were going to just drop off the food and leave but seeing him made you sad. 

In the car he ripped into the food quietly and it dawned on you that he probably hadn’t eaten in over 24 hours. You caught yourself staring at him and you looked down at your own food and started to eat. 

“ I’m sorry” he said after a while, half of his food was gone. You turned, your mouth full of food surprised. 

“For what?” You asked bewildered. He looked up at you and your brows furrowed further. He seemed genuinely upset. 

“ Your birthday is tomorrow.” he said. “ And the principal has asked that I come with him to do the press conferences tomorrow. I won’t be able to celebrate with you.” 

You’d completely forgotten that the next day was your birthday. With all the news and worrying about Bakugo and Aizawa, it flew out of your head. 

“ Shouta.” You said, swallowing your food and pointing your fork at him. You always did this, waiving something around when you reprimanded him and he secretly loved it but he wasn't going to tell you that. He loved that you’d come to see him, even if he didn't have the words to say it outloud. He was drowning in his thoughts and just your hand on his back was enough to pull him to the surface again. And you looked cute, he thought, cheeks full of food waving a fork in his face.

“ You don’t have to be sorry! It’s just a birthday. And of course with everything going on right now, it can wait!” 

He opened his mouth to say something else but you bulldozed on not letting him speak. 

“ And were married, so I plan on spending a lot of birthdays with you. So not celebrating one out of the rest of our lives isn't a big deal. Besides I’m more worried about you not eating! You should really- “ 

You paused abruptly as he cupped your face and brought you towards him planing a small kiss on your forehead. You didn’t know it but you had said all the right words. He loved knowing that you thought about being together until you were old. 

He pulled away and continued to eat his food quietly. You smiled inwardly. It was his way of saying “ I love you, thank you, but please shut up” without having to say anything. And so you did shut up, munching along with him in a nice silence. 

He eventually left, taking the trash with him and leaving with a much nicer, much longer kiss before exiting the car. Even from behind though, you could tell he was still stressed, and a little sad.

So here you were 3 am on your own birthday ironing his clothes for his press conference in secret. He’d come home late, and you’d gotten out of bed to see him doing even more work at the little desktop. You didn’t bother him though, and right at 2:30 am he got into the bed with you, thinking you were asleep as well. 

You knew he wasn't thinking things all the way through, and that in the morning, he would be in a flurry trying to get ready and be calm and collected. Ironing his clothes and looking presentable was one less thing you wanted him to worry about. 

When it was finished you hung it up in the room, and proceeded to make his lunch as quietly as you could in the kitchen. 

With food and clothes ready, you crawled back into bed tired, falling asleep listening to the rise and fall of your husband’s breath.

It was 7 am when Aizawa rose, feeling his phone alarm vibrating in his pocket. He quickly shut it off and pulled the covers off of himself. He turned to see you in bed, still asleep and not having to wake up for another hour or so. He allowed himself to drink you in for only a minute, taking in your sweet face as you slept and your hair all over your pillow. You were a year older today and he was going to miss celebrating with you. 

He turned away forcing himself to start going over his talking points. What did he need to do to get ready? He needed to get his suit, but he was going to have to iron it, which was going to see him back in time. As he made his way to the closet he stopped seeing his, one and only suit already hanging on the door frame ready for him, wrinkle free and appropriate. 

His heart was swelling in his chest, you’d gone out of your way again to do this for him. He looked again at you in the bed before going to finish getting ready.

Night fell and you stumbled into your home, your friends had taken you out on the town for your day and you were just a little buzzed. But not enough to see that your husband wasn't home. You stumbled over to your bedroom, leaving a trail of your items through the house. You’d had an absolutely great time and you were glad to have such great friends. You couldn't help but sneak and watch bits and pieces of Aizawa’s press conferences, but your girlfriends kept you pretty preoccupied. 

You couldn’t get your dress off though, and you remembered one of your friends had to help you into it in the first place. 

“Shoot.” You said twisting around trying to get it off.

Aizawa entered the apartment, his coat slung over his forearm. He closed the door with his foot and his eyebrow raised as he saw the two heels, coat and underwear making a trail to your bedroom. He followed it and couldn't control the slightest smile as he saw you hoping up and down trying to get your dress off. 

You turned at the sound of his footsteps and your face split into a dazzling smile. 

“Shooutaa” You drawled a bit lifting your hands up. You were not drunk, you felt good though, really good. 

Then you pouted. “ I cant get this stupid dress off Shouta. It’s cursed.” 

Aizawa chuckled at this putting his coat down on the dresser and coming closer to you, he pulled you into a loose hug and reached behind you for the tricky zipper. 

He was close, very close and his hair was still pulled back, and he smelled good, and damn it that really got you going. 

Neither of you were very forward when it came to sex. You both quickly learned to tell which kiss was a -I love you kiss- rather than a -lets go to bed right now kiss-. You couldnt recall a time either of you had verbally communcicated before sex. It was always a look, a smile, a kiss. But you were feeling good, really good.

You grabbed onto the black tie tightened on his shirt and brought him closer to you, his composure broke for a bit in shock but then he quickly regained his Aizawa cool. 

“You know.. I really like your hair like this.” You said softly. You reached up with both hands and began to loosen his tie. You could feel him messing with the zipper which was down almost halfway, but it was stuck on something and without being able to see he couldn't get it off. 

“Mei.” Aizawa said softly, but it was a warning. A warning that any further, there wasn't any going back. You tossed the tie to the floor and let your flat hands travel down his body, all without breaking eye contact. You were firmly ignoring his warning.

“How was your birthday.” He asked, his voice sounding a little breathier than usual. 

“Good.” You said looking from his lips to his eyes. “ It's better now though.”  

You’d successfully unbuckled and unlooped his belt and it made a small clink when it hit the floor. 

Then the button to the dress pants came off as well. 

“ I can't get this dress off.” Aizawa said his voice is truly husky now. You could feel him,hard and pressing into your exposed thigh. 

“You gonna let that stop you?” You asked challenging, being a brat , but you couldn't help yourself, suddenly you were really worked up. He still hadnt made the move , and you brought your hands back up to his hair sliding it through his locs and you brought your lips together for a kiss. 

The hand in his hair, which you knew for certain, drove him crazy and the kiss was a dangerous combo. But you lived for danger, so you couldn't help the slight squeal of excitement when he moved, fast and decisive, grabbing you up by your butt. His name is Fritz,. So its just fritx and clara and there parents and they all go to bed and go to sleep, and then clara sneaks out of bed to go check on her poor broken nutcracker nd hes still fucking broken so she falls alsleep with him under the Christmas tree and then while shes sleeping everything she szhirinks until shes the same size as the nutcracker whos a prince now. So then the mice king and all of his little mice friends come in and the dance around for a while and the nutcracker prince has to fight them off because theyre being scary, so he fights with the mouse king for a while until he kills him or clara kills him or something and the mice carry the dead mouse king away and clara and the nutcracker princ elike hop into a carriage and go off to the snow kingdom I guess so the sugar plum fairy can turn them big again its kinda fucked up bc like the climax of the ballet isn’t the enemy dying bc they kill him like pretty much right after he appreadrs its ghoing and partying with he spf and every dances and has a good time and Then they turn big againy after everyone dances but I guess since it’s a ballet it all makes sense

SO they co off tyo the land of sweets (I had to lkook that one up honestly bc what the fuck) and here they meet the sugar plum fairy and EVERYone knows the dance of the sugar plum fairy like theres no ideying that song goes hard as fuck so they meet the sugazr plum fairy and she dances with all her little friends and then they tell her that they kill;ed the fucking mous king n shes like “hooray we gotta celebrate!” so they dance for a while and celebrate and then one by one they go away and clara falls asleep and wakes up back at home under the tree with the nutcracker and his arm is fixed and thats is tthat the edn :) kinda sucks as a story but the ballet is soso beautiful its really so beautiful in the production that austin does theres the whole arc with aunt ginger and shes got a big ol cake dress and they bring in guest people to play her and act silly and its a good time :(((

The time between settling down in your favourite front-row desk and when class actually began was your least favourite. Today, as you took out a notebook and carefully laid your pens on the desktop, Bruce was stumbling through an invitation to the drive-in for the weekend. The quiet kid had to speak louder that what he’s used to due to the ruckus the other kids were making as they walked into the class.

That was until the door swung open. The chatter immediately died down when an unfamiliar boy stepped through the threshold. Everyone stared, including you.

He was the epitome of the guy every girl wanted to have a shake and burger with yet the guy that parents warned their daughters about. His hair was expertly slicked back and he wore a boyish grin that was definitely many a girls downfall. He had a fitting black leather jacket on and dirt stained jeans. Your eyes widened when you saw he had a fresh pack of cigarettes sticking out from the front pocket. A pair of aviator sunglasses had been tucked into the collar of his white cotton shirt and you could hear the tattered laces of his scuffed Chuck Taylors dragging across the floor.

“Am I late?” He asked and looked around the classroom, ignoring all the stares.

His gaze lingers on yours before you duck your down, straightening one of your pens.

“Well, actually-“ Peter started to say while looking at the clock that hung beside the door.

“Didn’t ask you, nerd,” the new boy interrupted, eyes narrowing at Peter. You scoffed at the rudeness that he showed which made him turn his attention towards you. As he got closer to your desk, you could smell a mix of his aftershave, tobacco, and motor oil. He stopped right in front of your desk and moved one of the pens out of line; your stomach clenches at the uncomfortable feeling that washes over you.

“I was asking you, sweetheart,” he smirked, leaning in closer. Your head snapped up and without properly thinking, you slammed you heel into the top of his sneaker and he winced, his fist holding tight to the edge of your desk.

“Class begins at 7:30,” you stated with a pleasant smile. You could tell he wanted to make some kind of snarky remark but decided against it when the teacher walked in apologising for the delay.

Throughout the day, you learn little things about the new boy. His name is James Barnes but goes by Bucky, he’s the same age as you and is an orphan. Bucky’s preferred seat is in the last row in the corner by the window where he can prop his feet up on the windowsill and slouch in his chair. It’s during lunch you discover he drives a well used black Cadillac that had all the girls giggling and some of the guys were eying the car with envy.

Fifteen minutes into Math Bucky strutted in without a care in the world, his sunglasses still perched on his nose. The stench of cigarette smoke still clung onto him like second skin as he moved through the rows of desks. You exhaled at the smell and rolled your eyes before turning your attention to the chalkboard.

The attention doesn’t last long when you noticed the smell of smoke was still heavily present…as if he was sitting behind you.

Your blood turned cold and you freeze in place.

No. It can’t be- he wouldn’t.

“Hey, sweetheart,” Bucky whispered, his warm breath breezing over the back of your neck. You gripped your pencil tighter as you tried to ignore him.

“Had some business to attend to,” he continued, “what’d I miss?”  You unclench your fist from your pencil before leaning back.

“Stop talking to me,” you grit through your teeth.

“Aw, doll, don’t be like that,” he crooned, “I brought you a present.” You let out a scoff.

“What? Is it your class ring or something?” Bucky chuckled, the sound was dark yet soothing and it made your heart do flips.

“Is that somethin’ you’d like, baby girl? My class ring?”

“You don’t even know me.”

“Mhmm,” he hummed and even though you couldn’t see it, he held his chin between his thumb and pointer finger, “then maybe I should get to know you. Don’t you want to know about me?”

“You?” You snorted, “what’s there to know? It’s not like we’ll have anything in common to talk about.”

“That’s not true, doll,” he countered playfully, “we’re talking jus’ fine right now.” You didn’t even bother to answer him, refusing to play into his game.

Bucky released a short laugh when he saw the way you had your eyes trained onto the chalkboard.

“So, darlin’, do you want your present or not?” You couldn’t believe the nerve he had of asking that and you were fully ready to turn around in your seat and tell him that any present from him would hardly be satisfactory but Ms. Hill interjected.

“Mr. Barnes, would you like to volunteer to solve this problem?” She asked, stepping aside to reveal an annoyingly complex arrangement of numbers that were for sure going to make a reappearance on an exam.

“Of course, ma’am,” Bucky replied, the legs of the chair scratching against the floor as he stood to his feet.

There’s no way Bucky would be able to solve this problem correctly, not even close and you were just waiting to have the last laugh at his presumptuous attitude.

His hand glides across the chalkboard with ease and as he continued to work on the problem, his handwriting became visible and not only was it impressively legible but it seemed he knew what he was doing.

Before he wrote down the answer, he looked over his shoulder at you and gave you a wink.

“Answer’s twenty-three, sweetheart,” he said as he drew a perfect circle around the number, his shirt riding up as he reached the top, showing off a small portion of tanned and well defined body.

“Impressive, Mr. Barnes,” Ms. Hill said, clapping her hands gently together. You just stared at the writing on the board trying to find one flaw, one mistake that you could call him out on but none were there.

“How did you know?” Bucky looked at you with a smirk.

“Let me have some secrets, doll.”

“No,” you pouted with your arms crossed over your chest.

“Hopin’ you’d say that, sweetheart.”

You had gone through the rest of the week having as little to do with Bucky as possible. So when Saturday came and you were standing behind your mother’s stand at the flea market, a breath of relief and calmness washed over you knowing Bucky wouldn’t dare to come.

That relief quickly disappeared when the crowd started to part like the Red Sea, letting two boys stroll through. Bucky had the sleeves of his leather jacket pushed up his forearms and you had to grit your teeth from making a sound at the sight.

“Where’s the food?” The boy next to Bucky growled, combing his fingers through his hair.

“Jesus, Stevie. You always thinkin’ ‘bout food,” Bucky said as he took out his wallet and thrusted it against his friend’s chest, “get whatever you like.”

“What are you doing here?” You asked once his friend had scurried away.

“That’s no way to treat a customer,” he smirked and leaned against the table.

“Seeing how you just gave your wallet to your friend, you’re not a customer.” Bucky laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners while his nose scrunched up.

“You’re right darlin’. How ‘bout I make it up to you with that present I was talking about?”

“And where is this present? Because I don’t see anything.” The wolfish grin he shows you had sent a shiver down your spine.

“Left it in my car. Maybe you could take a little ride with me when you’re done.” Bucky was so shameless and he could tell you were enjoying it, the subtle flush on your cheeks and the way you avoided his gaze didn’t help you.

“I can’t,” you replied and suddenly you felt bad for denying him anything, like this would be the end of him pestering you, “I got…a date with Bruce.”

Bucky’s jaw visibly clenches. He stands up straighter while smoothing out his jacket. His friend comes back with an arm full of food, dropping something just as he stood beside Bucky.

“Fuck,” he muttered the same thing that was on Bucky’s mind.

It was late at night on a Sunday and you were still awake. The events from not only the day before but the week had been on reply in your mind, you just couldn’t stop thinking about Bucky. When you closed your eyes, all you could see were the light blue ones staring back at you, his soft red lips twisting upwards into a smile and how good it felt when he stood close. You could hear his deep soothing voice loud and clear.

“Y/N! Sweetheart!” You shut your eyes tighter because there was no way you could be in that deep to the point where his voice was as clear as day.

“I know you’re-you’re up there!” The voice was slurred and a lot slower than Bucky’s usual tone. The window shook a little and your eyes snap open, seeing a tiny rock hitting the glass every few seconds.

“Sweetheart- I know this’s your room.”

You swung your legs over the side of your bed and quickly moved to the window. When you looked out and saw Bucky swaying at the bottom, you lifted it open; immediately noticing the whiskey bottle in one hand and his beloved leather jacket thrown carelessly on the well manicured lawn.

“What are you doing?” You hissed, afraid your parents might wake up.

“There y’are sweetheart,” he lazily smiled at you, “look,” he said and pointed to his jacket, “I got-got your present. Told’ya I got somethin’ for you.”

On his jacket you see a beautiful bouquet of brightly coloured flowers all wrapped up in a nice and neat bow. Your skipped a beat and it was nearly impossible for you to resist the smile that creeped onto your face.

“Bucky.”

“What’d ya say, sweet-sweetheart?” He shouted in a whisper, inching closer to the house. Without a second thought, you turned around and ran around your room trying to find a jacket you could use all while hearing Bucky drunkly ask for you in varying tones of sadness.

“Bucky!” You hissed louder as you stepped outside, closing the front door behind you quietly.

“You look pretty.You should dress like this for me more oft-often.” You ducked your head and pulled the jacket tighter around your body in an effort to cover up your night gown from him.

“Noo-oo, darlin’. I said you look pretty.”

“Why are you here and at this time?” He stumbled back a few steps and you reached out to grab him by his arms, pulling him back to you.

“Told’ya. Got your presents.”

“You got me one.”

“Nah-uh,” he shuffled around, digging in his pocket before excitedly pulling something out, “got ya that ring you wanted.”

“Bucky.”

“’S not a class ring so sorry about th-that.”

“You don’t even know me,” you said as you took the ring from him pushing it toward you.

“’S why I wanted ya to have it. You’re different, like-like a good different. Jus’ wanna know you. Jus’ wanna have you.”

You play with the ring in your hands letting the moonlight reflect off the small diamond in the middle. It looked old, it could be a heirloom and that made it all the more special. You could feel Bucky’s gaze on you and only looked up when you heard the whiskey bottle hit the grass.

“Put it on.” He held his hand out and you placed your hand in his. He took the ring from you and carefully and slowly slid it onto your middle finger, bringing it up to his lips and leaving a soft kiss.

“We have to go slo-“ The word left hanging in the air once you felt his lips on yours. You don’t stop him because kissing him brought warmth through your whole being, it made you happy. His hand reached up and cupped your jaw as your arms snaked around his neck, eliminating all the space between your bodies.

“Oh sweetheart,” Bucky groaned lowly, “we’ll take this as slow as you’ll like.”

“Yeah?” You asked breathlessly.

“Yeah, baby girl,” he kissed your lips quickly, “‘M not goin’ anywhere,” he mumbled against your mouth.

I have waited a long time to write this one 

Half the reason i started this series was to write for him tbh

Anyways

Started his blog long before he became a trainee 

But A LOT of effort into it

Spent hours looking for the perfect desktop theme

Then spent a day working on it to make it have is own little ‘felix flare’ 

And then spent hoooooours working on his mobile header

Naturally very proud of his blog

Works really hard to make good posts

Majority is just memes 

Or recreations of memes

Reblogs a lot of old vines

He’s the type of blog to get all those weird random asks from people

And he always has witty comebacks

So sometimes his posts will blow up

He just has that typical tumblr humor 

And it really made his blog blow up

Ends up having one famous post with like 100k reblogs and is still growing and he still thinks its the dumbest posts he’s made his whole life

But thats tumblr for you

Sometimes he’d be working on a big post 

And then tumblr would do that dumb thing 

Where it freezes on you and you cant post things

The amounts of times his family heard him yelling from up in his room as tumblr crashed on him yet again

anyways

Honestly wasn’t super aware of kpop 

But like 

Of course he knew about it

And then he made it through the audition 

And he was like oh hey

I kinda gotta figure out whats going on here

So he 

Like the smart person he is

Searches through the tumblr tag

And oh yikes

The majority of the tag was bts and got7

And he was like

And then staff at the company told him watching kdramas will always help him learn korean

So 

Because of this extreme change in his life 

And the need to learn the language as fast as possible

He searches for some good kdramas to watch

So again he turns to tumblr

And he finds some good recommendations 

But he cant reblog it to his main blog 

Because ??? he cant expose himself like this to all he’s meme followers

So he real quick makes a side blog for all his kpop/kdrama needs

And reblogs a few kdrama recommendations 

And a few kpop song recommendations as well

But he’s only find rec’s for all those old classic kdramas 

Like playful kiss and boys over flowers 

Not really his speed yah know

So thats when he stumbles across your blog 

He had just found one of your posts about kdramas 

And he real quick messages you on anon and was like hey have any recs

And you were like YES!!!1!!1!

So you gave him a good list

Grouping them by themes and such 

And then highlighted some of your favorites 

He ended up being drawn to one title 

“Uncontrollably fond” 

And you had mentioned that it was really sad

So he googled it to try and see what it was about

And when you google it one of the first things it says about the drama is 

“A man and woman meet again after they broke up in the past.”

So he was like alright that one it is

Catch him later trying to find out who wrote that description because there was so much more to that drama

He literally could not put it down

Lowkey forgot half way through he was supposed to be trying to learn korean

Watched an episode every night before bed

Because yah know he was packing and stuff

Part of it helped with the stress of leaving his home and such

The other part was just because it was super addicting to watch

Of course he had to take a small break of watching it just because life got to hectic with packing and everything

But he had an overlay on the way to korea

So he watched the drama at the airport

Catch this teenage boy trying not to cry in the airport omg

As he sat in the airport he was like

I gotta talk to someone about this

So he searched up your blog again and left an ask

And because you’re always on tumblr you got it right away. 

“Im sitting in the airport on the verge of tears because of uncontrollably fond why’d you recommend this to me” 

You chuckled to yourself as you read his ask

“I told you it’d be sad!” you finally decided to answer

You had totally forgotten about the person who had asked for recs

It was nice to see them again

The two of you talked back and forth for a bit

And then you got a message 

“I got tired of leaving asks so i’m just going to message you now. A lot easier.” 

You asked him when his flight was, and how much of the show you had left

And he was like 

Not enough time 

He was to invested now

You recommended maybe waiting to watch the last few episodes until he was alone and had a box of tissues

Earning a laugh from him

Like the curious person you are

You asked him where he was going 

And he just kinda said korea and then asked about the soundtrack to the drama

So you didn’t push anymore

Because it seemed like something he didn’t really want to talk about 

So inteast you talked about the soundtrack

Found out he really really liked the song “a little braver”

So you listened to the song while you talked with him

While you waited for him to get back to you

You scrolled through his blog

It was kinda sad looking and had the default theme 

And he had a random mix of kpop and kdrama recs

So you asked him if he was new to the whole kpop/kdrama world

And he was like “kinda” 

Cue you saying if he ever wanted any recs on anything to ask you because you got him

And he just chuckled and said he had to catch his flight, but he’d remember that

And that he’d message you as soon as he finished the drama

Later in the week you got a message from some random meme blog

About uncontrollably fond 

And you were like wtf

Why is this popular weird meme blog messaging me about a kdrama

So you were like um who???

And he was like shoot wrong blog!!

Then switched to his kpop blog

You laughed to yourself thinking about how yet another person had been converted to the dark side

Little did you know

He was PART OF the dark side

You followed his main blog too

Because why not

And the two of you talked a lot 

You found out what a big jokester he was

And just how funny he could be

But that he was also super emotional and wore his feelings on his sleeve

The two of you went from talking about kdramas and random kpop things to little parts of your day

He’d complain to you about learning korean and the language barrier issues he’d always run into

And how tired he was at the end of the day

I’ve only played Dungeons & Dragons once (1) in my life so I’m no expert! I’d consider my thoughts suggestions (like with my takes on the charaters’ MBTI types, which I’m not an expert of either): 

Noelle as a Wizard sounds right, since she definitely can’t do anything reliant on physical strength. She would be an asshole and attempt things like building a Clone Army

AKARSHA THE BARD. Rogue sounds too cool for her

Diya: I actually want to say she’s a Ranger because the Wiki on 5th edition says “The Beast Master archetype forges a connection between civilization and beasts, allowing the character to interact with animals in certain ways including gaining an animal companion to control.“ Fighter and Knight also sound plausible though! 

Min: Barbarian with high Strength and no Intelligence and Wisdom

I don’t want to say too much because I want to save things for the sequel, but here’s some stuff:

She actually played against Diya in youth leagues before she transitioned. That’s why she recognizes Diya+specifically approached her to sign the baseball club form while Diya doesn’t recognize her. At the first club meeting Liz tells her “I was at one of your games when you were little” -- This is purposefully ambiguous/misleading (sounds like Liz was just watching) because she passes and doesn’t want to out herself to a bunch of club members she doesn’t know well

After transitioning she quit baseball and switched to softball. It was weird being the one trans girl on a team of cis dudes, and additionally when she was younger she sort of felt like she had to prove she was a girl; she naturally has feminine taste, but she’d overperform it by 25%. I was planning on making the sprites blink! I’m still a bit sad I didn’t end up doing it

It’s supposed to be fall 2008 when they’re in high school, but I took a LOT of artistic liberties when it came to the references. For example, Akarsha makes a Durarara reference even though the anime didn’t come out until 2010, and there’s a lot of modern memes that ended up in there too...I couldn’t hold back...

The IGF trailer video is especially modern-day meme-wise -- since it broke the 4th wall, it was like, all bets are off. Don’t think too hard about it!

I wanted to put a lot of 90s and early 00s hits in the game for the nostalgia factor, like Complicated, Rock Your Body, Dilemma, etc. I think it would’ve made the experience even more surreal for players who are around my age!

it was SUPER hard to organize, i was really lost until i split it into 4 sections with each character. so if you're planning on making a game this big definitely think about forcing yourself into sections like that

the art was the most confusing to do bc of how many assets there were. i was going to say "have consistent naming conventions" but that's literally impossible LOL it'll always become inconsistent no matter how hard u try

13. What part of the game took the longest (writing? art?) 

writing, actually, despite how much i complain about art assets. it's really hard making sure the structure and themes come across correctly. like pacing is so hard. art is like #2 biggest time sink

14. How early in did you write the Akarsha/Min skateboard scene?

that came pretty late haha i put it in at last second

15. Are the characters based on real people? 

they're all inspired by combinations of ppl i know! i wouldn't say based on them, tho. for example min is like a combination of 3 friends i have, strategically arranged to play her part in the story

definitely have other people beta your writing as soon as possible! they always catch stuff you missed. also this is like a cheat, make your characters really extreme. like find one aspect of yourself, and turn it up to 11 and make it into a character. that way they'll be relatable and memorable at the same time. i think most people don't make their characters extreme enough so they're all kinda samey

Twitter Users Slam Pepsi Soda Ad That Promotes COVID-19 Testing Site

A Pepsi-sponsored poster promoting a COVID-19 testing site at a Walmart in Orlando, Florida, is leaving a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

That’s because the poster prominently features Pepsi branding including the soda’s current motto, “That’s what I like.”

Pepsico did not immediately respond to requests for comment. 

A Walmart spokeswoman sent this statement to HuffPost: 

“We know how important access to testing is in our local communities, and there was nothing negative intended by the banner. The local teams were trying to raise awareness about the testing site in order to help more people in the community. As soon as we learned about them, it was taken down.”
