#sabrina bake sale
Every Saturday, I'm going to publish a compilation post, where I collect all the moments or pages or clips of specific things, like "Every characters first appearance" or "Every Sabrina love interest"! (These can also be requested at any time)
This time: The cover of every first issue of solo Sabrina runs! (Not including guest appearances, like Archie's Madhouse) (note: while the manga run is counted as part of the 2000 run, it's so distinct (and even collected as such) that it feels wrong to not make it count as its own run here):
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch # 1 (1971) by Dan DeCarlo! (The first run)
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch #1 (1997) by Dan DeCarlo! (The sitcom run)
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch #1 (2000) by Dave Manak! (The Animated Series and Sitcom run)
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch #58 (Manga #1) by Tania Del Rio! (The Manga run)
Tumblr media
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #1 (2014) by Robert Hack! (The horror run)
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch #1 (2019) by Veronica Fish! (The Kelly Thompson run)
Tumblr media
Sabrina The Teenage Witch #1 (2020) by Veronica Fish! (The second Kelly Thompson run)
Which is your favourite? Mine is the first Thompson run cover, which coincidentally is my favourite Sabrina run too!

Yep, Marinette and Adrien telling their friends “don’t ask me why, but I need an alibi” is definitely happen at least once in a reboot of ML should be be a reboot and I am involved in said reboot. This causes their classmates to believe Mari and Adrien are in a secret relationship.
And here are some of the alibis their friends come up with
Alya- Mari was helping me make a gift for sisters
Nino- We were having a dance-off
Chloe- Adrien was watching Anime with me
Kim- Mari and Adrien were helping me get unstuck from a treehole
Alix- they were at the Louvre with me.
Juleka: we were summoning my grandfather’s ghost
Max- We were playing a video game.
Nathaniel- Marinette was helping me come up with designs for my comic.
Mylene- Mari was helping me bake cupcakes for a charity bake sale
Rose- They were at their Aquapony lessons (yes this is a Crocoduel reference)
Sabrina: my dog got onto Adrien’s lap and she kept growing whenever Adrien tried to move.
Ivan: We... were... umm... fighting a vampire! (Mari glares at him), you know I’m bad at lying
Marc: they were at my book club.
Kagami- they were helping me hide a body

Clone high season 2 episode concepts that would've actually been fun/cool
Abe tries to get into "real magic" to impress Joan by hanging out with Aleister Crowley and Arthur Conan Doyle. Jokes about people being too into Harry Potter being lame, jokes about paranormal teen shows a la Sabrina, etc.
Ronald Reagan and Nixon gets JFK into presidential themed crypto
Mean Girls episode parody about the Salem Witch trials or Bloody Queen Mary. They write themselves.
Episode where the main cast keep finding dead bodies, basically tripping over them, parody of teen murder mysteries, twist ending that the bodies are all failed/early clones (like the clone equivalent of a stillbirth. there was no murder)
Yellow Jackets Parody episode. the bus is out of gas or something and they're stuck in a large parking lot but act like they're in the woods.
Traveling championship episode. Debate team has to compete against high school where all the students are robots programmed to behave like the greatest scientists/leaders of all time
Trans episode parody. Abe realizes he isn't aligned with the modern republican party anymore and is therefore a Democrat, treated as a self-aware bad analogy maybe to the point of other characters finding it tasteless/annoying/Abe looking for attention
Cyberbullying episode parody, bonus points if it's gossip girl
Secret cousin/twin parody episode --- obvious starting point would be like. Anastasia because of how many people famously claimed to be her.
Supernatural teen romance parody episode. Abe tries to become a vampire with like Edgar Allen Poe or someone to impress Joan.
"Save the community center" episode --- This could be a great Harriet focused episode about like a bake sale or something to fund the arts but everyone is over exaggerating the stakes and the drama of being/not being a good baker. "My grandmother used to bake these cookies for me.....until she DIED" "My mother baked these cookies for me everyday I was in the hospital after falling out of that helicopter and they gave me the strength to survive" "I can't bake....my mom was always too busy with her business to teach me....." etc.
Big Mouth/Sex Ed parody episode. I think it would be really funny if THIS had been their technology episode, like getting a computer virus is treated like getting a STD and the cast talk about browsing the internet like it's casual sex, etc.
parody of those tasteless episodes about how like bullying leads to school shootings. Have like Abe or Joan or someone try to reach out to Napoleon or someone because they eat alone at lunch and because they think it's silly and mean everyone is afraid of them but then they are just like a violent maniac already. the solution is to get rid of him.
this might sound dumb but remember that one episode of jimmy neutron where jimmy was banned from the science fair for being too smart and killing the morale of any other student interested in participating? What if Clone High did that but as like a parody of anti-trans sports legislation. All the cloned scientists are banned from the science fair because it's an unfair advantage. All the Politian clones are banned from debate club, etc.
Social media/parasocial relationships parody episode where like JFK and Abe become obsessed with one another's online accounts not knowing it's them, despite Joan repeatedly telling them this, it becomes completely unhealthy but then whenever they do hang out together face-to-face they hate it and decide the parasocial relationship was better actually.
PRANK YOUTUBE/TIKTOK PARODY EPISODE ABOUT DB COOPER AND HOUDINI COME ON COME ON COME ON THIS ONE IS SO FUCKING OBVIOUS

Tumblr media Tumblr media
We've definitely been enjoying our summer here in Brindleton Bay! We try and spend most of our day outside, now that the girls are toddlers we have a lot more freedom as to what we can do. Aria and Ansel have been going with their dad to fish in a nearby lake almost every day since summer started, and whilst they don't come back with a fish everyday, they come back with stories about their fishing adventures that I'm sure they'll look back on with fondness. Whilst we aren't actively doing schoolwork in the summer, we're still learning when we're outside. The kids research the kinds of fish that are local to our area, so they know how to identify anything they might catch. Ever since we got our chickens, we've been learning all the things about them like the differences between the eggs that are laid for us to eat versus the fertilised eggs that hatch into chicks. We've also been learning about the fruits and vegetables that we've been growing, as well as the local plants and animals in the area. We've been debating whether to move to a property that has more land to have more animals, but that's a big undertaking so we're definitely praying on it.
Tumblr media
These four are proving to be thick as thieves, there's a year between them and they're determined to put me through my paces. I don't mind it though, I'm taking my time and cherishing all these memories while they're still young. Before I know it they'll be in school, then maybe even college, then getting married and moving out. I'm so thankful for the Lord choosing me to be the mama of these rambunctious kids.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(AN: The kid should really be a toddler cause he's 2 weeks younger then valentina's youngest 2, but lets pretend these are old pictures. Also, I hate that the infant blanket has to appear when they're being posed)
My sister Sabrina and her husband Tucker live further out in the country from us, but we still see them at church and manage to plan to see each other when our schedules align. Though Tucker's family still does their touring music ministry for parts of the year, Tucker and Sabrina have chosen to focus on maintaining the farm and being at home. They've even bought their own home close to the farm, as they wanted their own place for their growing family. Sabrina announced that they're expecting another baby by early next year!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My little brother Zachary is courting! He met Kelsey Parnell (19) last year when he was in Brindleton Bay to visit us, Kelsey lives in a town an hour away from Brindleton Bay but has the same social circles as our aunt Danielle. I guess my aunt is determined to have her nieces and nephews have ties to Brindleton Bay so that there will always be a way to see her, because this is now the 3rd couple she's used her match making skills on (the first being Me and Eric, the second being Sabrina and Tucker). Kelsey spends her time helping her mother at home, or working with the same ministry my aunt sometimes works with. They first met at a christmas bake sale to support an pro-life ministry, and would see each other everytime Zach would visit Brindleton Bay either for work or to see us. My parents were able to meet her parents as well and our families got along great, they agreed that it was okay for the two to get to know each other better in order for a courtship to happen, and recently Zach got the greenlight to ask her to start a courtship. Kelsey is a great girl, we've known her and her family for a few years and I think they'll make a great couple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Celeste is also courting! She's in a courtship with a delightful young man named Reid Robbins (25) from Northbury, a town a few hours outside Britechester. They met through mutual friends when she was at a young women's retreat that was a ministry run by his church. She met one of his sisters and they became fast friends, and she later introduced the girls to her family and the rest of the church congregation. These two met and there was a group chat formed where they all got to know each other and challenged each other daily to keep up in their walk with the Lord. Between a few visits to Newcrest, a few visits to Northbury, and some group trips added into the mix, Reid had started to pray to the Lord about Celeste (what he didn't know is that she'd also started praying about him!). After discussing the fact with his parents, they contacted our parents and after both sides approved, he made his way to my parents house in Newcrest and officially asked her! Though she was excited, Celeste was slightly apprehensive at the beginning because she is slightly older than him (her being 27 and him being 25), but my sisters and I reassured her that if she felt the Lord leading her in that direction - then to follow where she's being led. Now she's happier than ever before, she's already started dreaming about what their wedding will look like!

13, 14, 16, and 21. Bring on violence
worst blorboficiation
omfg. Nathalie by a long shot. Literal terrorist. Cool motivation, still murder. Retroactively worse considering sentimonster development. People posture "oh adrien deserves a good mom!" and like.. no, nobody needs a mom. But having good adult role models is very helpful. Sabine could easily fill that role- and if they weren't cowards, they could fufil the mirror of "Marinette comes from a family of bakers but is into fashion" with "Adrien comes from a family of fashion designers but is into baking"
that one thing you see in fics all the time
Lila. People use her as a crutch for villainy. She's 14 ffs, not a megacorp bajillionare d20 on max charisma stat.
Person who is reading this? if you're gunna use Lila as a villian, don't. It's not new, it's not interesting, it's not even fun anymore. Use someone with already established bullying tendancies: (Kim, Chloe, Alya) Find someone new, corrupt a current chracter.
If you need Marinette expelled or excommunicated, do something that would actually get her expelled- she accidentally broke something valuable due to her clumsiness. Taking the fall for another classmate? One too many late arrivals. A failing grade due to ladybugging. Was caught tyring to break through a window to get out.
you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Zoe. She's a result of bad writing and merch sales, has like.. no personality. They should have grabbed an established background character and elevated them. what about weathergirl? or sabrina?
What if Sabrina being given the bee- or even the dog again- gave her a new perspective, and her growing up and getting a spine is what drove Chloe to become friends with Lila?
Zoe feels narratively useless, and the impact of her arrival is negligible. She brings nothing new or interesting to the table.
part of canon you think is overhyped
Chat Blanc. Like I get it- and like much of the show, it's good potential... but he's not that great, interesting, or even well-executed. The plot with bunnix isn't good either.
Honestly, it could have been a good intro to "Kwami powers without humans as a filter is dangerous" via Gabriel forcing Nooroo to make an akuma. That would keep identity intact, overpower Chat's willpower, and be an incredibly devastating event.
Hell, even if they kept him dead silent, it would have been way more interesting and intimidating. I can't take him seriously with his tearful "uwu save meee huuu" and wiping tears away.

Gig Survey 2023
As ever, previous years can be read at #gig-survey, and this year’s one can be found below the cut.
Top 5 shows of the year?
Boygenius w/ Muna and Ethel Cain, Gunnersbury Park, 20th August
The Warning w/Dead Pony, Islington Academy London, 26th June
Beyonce, Johann Cruijff Arena Amsterdam, 17th June
Madonna, O2 Arena London, 14th October
Zara Larsson, Brighton Pride, 5th August
Total number of shows?
Seventeen - more than the last three years combined.
First show of the year?
The Subways, at Chalk in Brighton, on February 3rd.
Last show of the year?
Against The Current, Kentish Town Forum in London, December 1st.
Most surprising show?
Honestly, Madonna. After her US leg was postponed our gig was unexpectedly the first night of the tour so we had no idea what to expect, but we got two and a half hours of a whirlwind tour through an extensive discography that wasn't phoned in at all!
Most disappointing?
The Who came on stage and immediately slagged off their support act, which meant that it got off to a great start.
Farthest travelled?
Johan Cruijff arena in Amsterdam, 296 miles/477km from my front door.
States attended shows in?
Cheerful, grateful, euphoric, terrified, bored, knackered and achy.
Venue most visited?
Chalk and Resident Records in Brighton, both twice.
Worst injury?
Got pelted with confetti after the second Carly Rae Jepsen gig at the end of the tour - it was the dregs so rather than raining down gently upon a euphoric crowd, it rained down heavily and we're still finding bits ten months later.
Most expensive ticket?
Beyonce, hands down.
Band seen the most?
Carly Rae Jepsen, The Warning and Dead Pony, all twice.
Best new discovery?
Dead Pony supported The Warning at their second gig in London this summer and were great enough to make me immediately buy tickets to see them in Brighton a few months later. Also I hadn't really paid much attention to boygenius before their gig (I was mostly interested in Muna and Ethel Cain) but loved them.
Bands seen this year that also broke up this year?
None!
Friends made at shows?
None! There were nice interactions before The Warning in Islington, though. I tried my best in Amsterdam but the Dutch were having absolutely none of my charm.
Band members met?
Billy from The Subways and Carly Rae Jepsen at their (separate) Brighton gigs in February. Jay-Z passed behind me at his wife's gig, too, and Chrissy from Against The Current mocked my baseball team from a third floor window while I was queuing.
Best souvenir from a show?
I have worn the heck out of my Warning tour tee and my boygenius "always an angel never a god" tee.
Longest time in line?
Several hours baking in the hot sun before Beyonce.
Shows seen from the barricade [front row]?
I was fairly close for the Warning fan show in May, the Carly shows, and Zara at Pride. Right at the front - uncomfortably close - to Dead Pony at Green Door Store in Brighton.
Most shows in one month?
June had three, but should've had four...
Most shows in one week?
...however we didn't manage the Sabrina Carpenter gig two days after Beyonce, so only the two Carly Rae Jepsen gigs in a week in February (either side of a Gillingham game!)
Biggest crowd?
Probably boygenius at Gunnersbury Park.
Any drunk encounters?
Not really - I was drinking but never drunk.
Top 5 best 2023 concert moments:
1. The Warning. I got into this rock band formed of a trio of sisters from Mexico around the beginning of 2022. They announced a UK and Europe tour for this summer, mostly supporting bigger bands (Muse, Royal Blood) and playing festivals. Wrapping up the tour was a June date at Islington Academy, and I got tickets as soon as they went on sale. Perusing the tour dates on their social media I noticed a private show the day after their first UK date - I hopped on the discord and found out how to get tickets, managing to see their first ever headline show on this continent! They were as fantastic as expected and with the label support they've got are gonna be big in the next few years.
2. Zara Larsson - I saw her in Brixton in 2019, at a gig I was encouraged to go to by my lovely wife who thought that my ironic fandom would dissipate with a live gig (in her defence, this plan worked amazingly with Dua Lipa). I had a wonderful time and my ironic fandom quickly became an actual fandom. For some reason she didn't play many gigs over here since, only an unfortunately timed club show (August 2021, Dana was away so missed out) so when she was announced as the de facto Brighton Pride headliner - Black Eyed Peas closed the night but nobody cared about them - I spent the intervening months hyping her up...and she exceeded my expectations! A rip-roaring set cramming in everything she's released as a single over here (including the Euro 2016 anthem!) saw me at my most enthusiastic, least self-conscious giddy self watching her.
3. Carly Rae Jepsen was fantastic, as ever. At a pub in London before her Ally Pally gig I saw a flyer for a strong, tasty beer so I ordered it with our food. The woman behind the bar was very new at the role - possibly her first day - so was unaware of how to find it on the till, opening and pouring the beer so I could start drinking while she found out the price.
Two minutes later a very nervous bartender approached me with a card reader and a request for £25 for about half a litre of beer. Fortunately for her I was expecting it to be pricy, and had had the sort of news that week which justified a hedonistic outlay, so when I paid it the relief on this woman's face was palpable!
4. Boygenius, Muna and Ethel Cain was a great afternoon up in London to take the disappointment of England losing the World Cup Final away. I knew Muna would be great after last year's gig; I had high hopes for Ethel Cain, and was prepared to be wowed by the boys. All of them exceeded my expectations and I got to spend a great evening in the sun in south west London with my wife and my sister-in-law.
Top 3 worst 2023 concert moments:
1. With a purchase of her album and an extra £20, we got to see Mimi Webb's album launch gig that lasted less than an hour, had half a dozen songs and spent more time on a pre-selected Q&A session than her playing music. To make matters worse, she's from Whitstable, and sounds like it as well. Her accent is the Kentish accent that our parents deliberately trained out of my brother and I; hearing it in the flesh (and unexpectedly so as well) was such a jarring shock to my system I went from hyped up to hating an artist in an instant. Even listening to a brief interview clip to find the link above has set my teeth on edge and I need to go and have a bath to calm myself down.
2. Back near the beginning of the year we didn't have any big gigs lined up, so when The Who were announced to play at the local cricket ground we booked tickets, paying expensive prices to get to the front of block B - not right at the front but with a decent view as nobody would be in front of us (we thought). The gig got off to a bad start when I queued up for 45 minutes for a bar that had run out of all but the bland IPAs. During this queue the Who came on stage and immediately - before playing a chord - spoke dismissively about the support band. When I got back to our seats I found people standing in front of us on the barricade blocking our view, despite repeated requests to move, signs stating "no standing" and a stewarding team fresh out of school. After being verbally abused by a pensioner for asking her not to stand in front of the seats we'd paid £80 each for we decided we had better things to do than watch a Brexiter and his nonce bassist go through the motions and went home.
3. The total shows should've been even higher, but we missed several. In the spring we missed a pair of hometown Maisie Peters shows due to a family tragedy. In August I missed seeing be your own PET! for the first time in fifteen years due to a different family tragedy, and we missed seeing Sabrina Carpenter headlining at the Hammersmith Odeon due to being stranded in Amsterdam after easyjet cancelled our flight home. It's not been a great year, all things considered.

Mac and cheese best recipe with meat and hot cheese manual#
Set to Manual High Pressure for 4 minutes, then quick release when done. Instant Pot: Cook the macaroni lightening fast and easy by cooking in the Instant Pot! Add pasta, 3 cups of water, and 1 teaspoon salt to Instant Pot and seal lid. This is great for potlucks or packing for lunches!
Mac and cheese best recipe with meat and hot cheese mac#
Mac and Cheese Bites: Divide the prepared macaroni and cheese between greased muffin cups and bake as usual for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese Bites.Make sure to grate the cheese yourself for the creamiest sauce. Cheese: Other cheeses that can go in your mac are pepper jack cheese, Fontina cheese, Parmesan cheese, or Monterey Jack cheese.Seasonings: Play with the flavors in this Mac and Cheese by adding 2 tablespoons Ranch Dressing Mix or Homemade Taco Seasoning before mixing in the cheeses!.Diced jalapeños peppers or green chiles will add a little extra southwestern heat. Veggies: You can add sautéed onions, mushrooms, or red and green bell peppers after you add in the cheese for some healthy veggies.Meat: Mix in 6-8 pieces crumbled crispy cooked bacon, or 1 pound cooked and drained ground beef, turkey, or chicken to make this a hearty main dish.VARIATIONS ON FLAMIN’ HOT CHEETOS MAC AND CHEESE For a peppery spicy flavor, use Flamin’ Hot Cheddar Jalapeño Cheetos, or go with the Flamin’ Hot Lime Cheetos! For a less spicy mac, replace half the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos with regular Cheetos or White Cheddar Cheetos Puffs. Since it’s sure to be in the comments, it’s one the first questions we asked too, you can absolutely use any Cheetos flavor you like for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese. If you want to use puffs, use them with the milk for flavor and use the regular Cheetos for the topping. You can use the puffed Cheetos, but keep in mind they won’t be as crunchy. You’ll need about 2 regular bags or one family size bag of Cheetos. It’s worth a little extra cooking time and calories for the best Mac and Cheese you’ll ever eat.įlamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese is easy and inexpensive to make, especially if you pick up Cheetos around summer holidays when they are on sale. You could use a box of Mac and Cheese but you will miss out on all the three cheese, creamy goodness. This recipe for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Mac and Cheese is all about homemade junk food indulgence! Skip the baked Hot Cheetos and go with the regular kind for maximum flavor and crunch. The creamy, baked Mac is made with 3 melty cheeses and has Hot Cheetos in the sauce for extreme heat and flavor! On top of the delicious “no right to be this good” taste, this Mac is made in less than an hour! It’s so tasty and easy, you’ll be making Flamin’ Hot Mac and Cheetos every chance you get. There are comfort food mashup recipes, and then there is King of the cheesy, spicy junk food recipe.

To Fight A Class
Marinette had been different ever since Lila Rossi came back from her trip to Achu. Her falsified trip to Achu. Lila lied about almost everything, and Marinette’s class ate it up like chocolate. Marinette tried to call Lila out on her lies, however, Lila used every word Marinette spoke and turned it against the bluenette. And her class believed her! Even to the point where they stopped being her friends.
Lila made up tales about how Marinette would confront her in the bathroom and threaten her, send her mean texts (which she backed up with fake text screenshots), and she even lied about Marinette physically attacking her when she was alone. However, Lila decided to kick Marinette when she was already down.
Lila created a fake text number and texted another fake number posing as Marinette and her cousin. Lila, using Marinette’s identity, ranted about how stupid her class was, how she was playing them from the start, going into extensive detail about how their dreams would never become true and how dumb they all were. After Lila showed the class this fake conversation, they decided to confront her. They berated her when she got to the classroom.
Marinette denied everything, and this made the entire class angry. It made Alix so mad she actually hit Marinette, resulting in a suspension for both girls. Marinette was sad about losing all of her friends. And was almost akumatized 6 times in a single month, only being saved because of Tikki and Plagg fighting off the akumas. Marinette was now a social pariah. Her former friends started to bully her, trip her up, pour liquids on her sketchbook, and even berated her from time to time.
They truly believed that Marinette was a bully, and that hurt her. It hurt her so bad. Adrien still told her to take the moral high ground, that Lila’s lies weren’t hurting anybody, and let Lila realize that her lies are bad on her own. Adrien didn’t realize that Marinette’s lies were hurting her. One time, Marinette yelled at Lila about her lies, and a yelling battle broke out between Marinette and most of her class, Adrien standing by.
Afterwards, Adrien came up to her and actually berated her and said he was disappointed in her. Marinette berated him back, said something along the lines of ‘I can’t believe I used to like you’, and told him to talk to her when he’s found a way to remove to stupid stick from his ass. Adrien still didn’t realize that he had no right to be disappointed in her, and still tried to talk to her. He eventually gave up, and said to Plagg, word for word, that Marinette was now ‘unsaveable’. It was that moment when Plagg started to change his opinion on his holder.
Things weren’t getting better in her superhero form either. Chat Noir had become even more flirting. To the point where Ladybug occasionally berated him for being so flirty and not concentrating on the battle. One time, when Ladybug berated him in the middle of a fight, Chat decided to be petty. Chat left the fight, leaving Ladybug to fight all by herself. Plagg pleaded with Adrien to go back into the fight, but Adrien thought it would be okay, right?
Wrong, the villain almost killed Marinette’s parents. After that, Ladybug and Chat Noir’s relationship became distant. Chat Noir continued to be flirty, but Ladybug acted like he didn’t exist. One day, during a fight, Chat Noir turned up the flirt and wasn’t even helping Ladybug. After the akuma was defeated, Ladybug berated him and told him to stop acting like this. This was all recorded. The media exploded in outrage and conflict. On one side, people were acting lenient and defending Chat, and the other side was full-on roasting him. This saddened Adrien, who acted like he was the victim here. It was at that moment where Plagg decided that Adrien Agreste was no longer worthy to be his holder. Marinette had been at an all time low in both of her lives.
And guess what? BUSTIER STILL EXPECTED HER TO BE AN EXAMPLE. Whenever there was an altercation, Ms. Bustier spat out some random bullshit about being a good example for the students, and being a good class representative. Marinette was still obligated to plan fundraisers, school trips, and events. She couldn’t take it anymore, and considered taking her own life. Instead, she quit being class representative and moved to Ms. Mendeliev’s class. Ms. Bustier tried to convince her to stay, but the class was adamant that they didn’t need a bully like her as their class representative. That was indeed false.
Max was the smartest kid in the class, just barely getting above Marinette, so they elected him to class president. They planned a bake sale fundraiser, and thought of everything, except the fact that Marinette always baked 70% of all the baked goods. They were convinced that they didn’t need her, so they just bought a bunch of baked goods. Some of them tried to buy from Marinette’s bakery, and were promptly told to leave.
So, their fundraiser started, and was garbage. Most of the customers at the bake sale didn’t like what the class had brought and thought they were wildly overpriced for being store bought. Lila lied and said hers was homemade. In the end, they raised just 50 dollars. The class was kind of low about this, but were still convinced that Marinette was a bully that was unwanted and unneeded. Speaking of the blue-haired designer.
When she switched to Ms. Mendeliev’s class, the class was worried. They knew Lila lied and had turned the entire class into sheep, and thought Marinette was some sort of spy. But when they learned the full story, they comforted her. However, there were 5 students in the class who were absolutely furious about how Marinette’s old class had betrayed her. Aurore Beauréal, Roman Reyes, Mireille Caquet, Marc Anciel, and Jeanne Lémery.
These 5 students walked up to the Akuma Class during lunchtime and absolutely laid into them about how they’ve treated Marinette. Of course, they defend themselves and Lila busts out the crocodile tears. This ends in a physical dispute between Jeanne and Alix, which ended with another suspension. Marinette’s new friends started to mold her into the helpful, confident, and kind girl she was before Lila told all those fibs about her.
She brought pastries in for everyone, even Ms. Mendeliev, and Ms. Mendeliev soon grew to be her favorite teacher. Her new best friends were still furious and wanted to take the Akuma Class down. HARD. Marinette denied this action because she didn’t want to be involved with them again, but when she saw Mylene make a friendship charm for Lila, she quickly agreed and revealed that she had a trump card named  Chloé Bourgeois.
Over the time where Lila was taking over the class, Chloe knew she was lying. She even called her out on it once. That was obviously a mistake. Lila spread even more lies about Chloe being mean to her. She said that Chloe paid people to wreck her windows and even wrecked her windows as “proof”. This caused the class to exile Chloe as well, which Chloe didn’t care about.
But what Chloe did care about was that Lila took Sabrina away from her. The class knew that Chloe was a bully, so it wasn’t hard for them to believe that Chloe did it. Sabrina started slightly threatening her by saying things like ‘People don’t want bullies as friends’ and ‘You can’t use your money to threaten people’. When the class confronted her about being mean to Lila, she didn’t want to take it anymore and went to leave.
She noticed Sabrina didn’t come with her. She called to Sabrina, who simply said ‘I don’t want to be friends with a bully.’ This broke Chloe’s heart and caused her to be akumatized into the Princess Dignity, who tried her best to get to Lila and force her to reveal her lies. Ladybug considered letting her hit Lila with her Blasts of Truth, but eventually overcame it and defeated Princess Dignity. Marinette heard about it and went to go look for Chloe.
She found her crying in an alleyway, where she thought no one would see her. Marinette consoled the blond, who tried to deny any feelings at first, but she eventually caved. She told Marinette about everything, and even admitted she had started liking Sabrina as more than a friend. Marinette and Chloe actually bonded over this, eventually losing hope that their crushes will ever come out of the darkness. (Marinette’s being Adrien, Chloe’s being Sabrina.)
After Marinette introduced Chloe to her new friends and told her about their plan, the blond was all in. Chloe put on an act and apologized to the class. They accepted the apology, Lila actually hugged Chloe, and Ms. Bustier was so proud that she gave Chloe a present. The group had a plan, a rather unnecessarily complicated one, but a plan it was.
They basically turned their fingers into metaphorical shovels and digged up dirt on everyone in that class, including the teacher. What they got was a gold mine of dirt.
They created a 40 minute video demonstrating all of Lila’s lies being disproved, and for the other half was recordings about the Akuma Class talking bad about each other and even some secrets that they had mentioned to themselves thinking they were alone. Her friends were ready to post it everywhere, but Marinette wanted to give them one last chance.
Her birthday was coming up and she was planning a party. She was going to invite her class. If they said yes, she would go small. If they said no, she would go BIG. When Roman passed out the invitation slips, the entire Akuma Class walked up to her table, insulted her, ripped all of their invitation slips and half, and threw them on Marinette’s table.
Marinette shed a single tear, before releasing a convoluting smirk. Any smirk Chloe gave would pale in comparison to the smugness in Marinette’s smirk. A smirk that made Lila Rossi a bit scared. Marinette replied with a simple, “Alright. Your loss.” They could hear the uncaringness in her voice. They expected begging, crying, and apologies. Not uncaringness.
Two months later, the Akuma Class walked into school, confused. Everyone was talking about a party hosted by Marinette. They were suspicious and checked Marinette’s social media accounts and saw that 67 pictures were taken and posted by Marinette on the night of her birthday. She had met so many celebrities. Mostly because Jagged Stone was her step-uncle, but she had some connections of her own.
She had designed dresses for Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, Billie Eilish (i probably spelled that wrong), and many other artists and models under the identity of MDC. No one knew that it was her, except for her new friends of course, who she told a bit after they became friends. Marientte decided to reveal herself, and people were shocked that it was just a 14 year old girl.
Especially the Avengers, who she had handsewn suits and dresses for once. This was Marinette’s plan, to make her friends regret not showing up and meeting celebrities. However, thanks to a light good luck charm placed on Marinette by Tikki, her plan took an unexpected turn for the better.
Each of the class’s Idols showed up, Lois Lane (Alya’s Idol), Marshmallow (Nino’s Idol), Tony Hawk (Alix’s Idol), Daisy Ridley (Adrien’s Idol), and so many more. Nathaniel was especially hurt when his favorite idol showed up in the picture reel. When Marinette returned, the class berated her once more about how she should have invited them and how some of them could have met their idols and gotten sponsorships.
She then reminds them that she did invite them. They remembered what they did and looked a bit less confident. They still tried to retort and say that she should have told them that she was inviting their idols. She says that she didn’t, that Jagged invited them, they were still mad, but not as mad as they would be at the end of the day. Just as school was about to end, a video was sent to everyone’s phones in Francois Dupont, even some outside of school.
The first 20 minutes were discrediting every lie Lila told. Lila tried to refute it when she saw it, but there was no way to discredit cold hard evidence. The next 20 minutes were revealing secrets, insults, and lies that the class had kept from each other way before Lila even showed her face. Nino stealing from his competition, Alix cheating in multiple races, Kim insulting a lot of his classmates and cheating, Max not even being the one who built Markov, Mylene shown not to be happy in her relationship with Ivan and even ranting about the poor brute, Alya being racist to a dude who had happened to see Ladybug detransform and wouldn’t tell her anything, and so much more. The only ones who had no dirt to dig up were Ivan, Juleka, and Rose, who were relieved.
However, then something unexpected popped up on everyone’s phone screens. A little 6 minute video revealing Adrien to be Chat Noir, posted by Jeanne with the permission from Marinette. It also showed how hostile and petty Chat Noir had been to Ladybug all because she wouldn’t date him. This made people hate Adrien and Gabriel even berated his son for ruining his reputation.
Adrien was about to go take it out on Marinette, but didn’t expect to be swarmed by a bunch of Kwamis. They stole his ring off of him and flew off, with Plagg stating that Adrien was no longer fit to be Chat Noir before following the rest of the Kwamis. This made Adrien extremely sad, but instead of Hawkmoth akumatized him first, he turned Adrien to the side of evil. Hawkmoth revealed himself as Gabriel and managed to convince Adrien to become evil. He gave him the fixed Peacock Miraculous and Adrien became a recurring villain to Ladybug. However, Ladybug had a new team.
Ladybug decided to give Miraculouses to the friends she knew would always be on her side. She gave Roman the Cat Miraculous, Aurore the Rooster Miraculous, Mirelle the Mouse Miraculous, Kagami the Dragon Miraculous, Luka the Snake Miraculous, and Jeanne the Ox Miraculous. She even gave Chloe the Horse Miraculous so that she wouldn’t have to worry about the secret identity thing again. After a few months of Adrien terrorizing the city as Feather Rouge, they finally defeated him, they threw his ass in jail along with his father and his assistant.
Her class, after seeing the video, started fighting amongst themselves, eventually escalating to an every man for himself brawl in the classroom. Every student in the class was suspended, but with the video, they had enough expenses expelled. They all decided to blame Lila AND Marinette for this. They went to confront Marinette, even though they all hated each other. Only to meet a badass, angry,  pizza stick weilding Chinese mother who told them to fuck off (she didn’t say “fuck off” literally, but they could tell that they should by her tone of voice).
They eventually got to Marinette, and tried to berate her again. However, her real friends were there to defend her and scare her former friends off. Marinette thanked them and was grateful to have real friends.
(This is the first fic I’ve ever written. I wrote it in like an hour. I was rushing. I’m sorry if it’s bad.)

I have a prompt/idea for you. Marinette could be the class president with Adrien as her deputy when he notices that Alya has abandoned her for Lila. When fundraisers start up for the end of year trip, those like Kim, Juleka, Alix, and Nathaniel take part with the two while the rest go with Lila for some other stuff that she lies about, saying it will get them a better trip. In the end, only those that fund-raised can go on the amazing trip. Lila gets exposed.
Fundraising Feud
Fed up with Alya, Marinette demands she choose a side.
Alya chooses Lila.
Adrien comforts a hurt Marinette and steps into Alya’s abandoned role of vice class president.
Well, at least she is spending more time with Adrien...
The class field trip is coming up. Marinette and Adrien agree the location should be Disneyland. They can raise money through normal fundraisers like bake sales, photobooths, cartoon drawings, and a sports marathon where people pledge money on their favorite athlete
But Lila, who hated work, suggested a weeklong trip to China instead. They can raise money by asking her celebrity friends to chip in.
(Basically Lila overheard Gabriel discussing a business trip to China and how Adrien would be involved. She was determined to go as well. Besides, inviting other classmates would cost peanuts to the rich designer. As to persuading the man to pay for everything...he will get to choose who to come. Obviously he won’t invite Nino, Chloé or Marinette. That will further isolate them from Adrien. Just what Mr Agreste wanted. And this way, Gabriel’s own reputation will improve because let’s face it, even Lila is worried about being associated with a neglectful father at this stage (basically it is becoming well known))
Marinette and her side refused to trust Lila’s promise to have all expenses paid without the need for work. But the rest were happy to save their free time.
So while Lila brags about her fancy meals with her celebrity friends, and her entourage continue their daily activities, the others were busy prepping for their fundraisers.
Kim and Alix were spreading the word while seeking sponsors.
Nathaniel and Juleka prepared the photo booth and props.
Marinette and Adrien baked...a lot.
Their fundraisers were a success.
The person in charge, Monsieur D’argencourt, asked where the rest of the class were.
Alix was disdainful. “They want to go on Lila’s field trip and are relying on her for celebrity donations.”
The school coach raised a brow but didn’t press further. He did later ask Caline about this, which she confirmed.
When the day was over, Marinette and her friends had earned enough money for just them and one chaperone to stay at Disneyland for a whole weekend.
Lila supposed it was time she asked Gabriel for a favor.
Except, no. Gabriel does not want Lila’s mediocre modelling presence to meet his international clients. Plus, he dislikes rowdy kids. What does he care for his plummeting reputation. Some donations and a few pictures taken of him hugging Adrien, and problem solved. If not, he’s going to hire an agent.
Lila had to lie to say her celebrities were angry with her for taking advantage of them. So she couldn’t fulfill her promise. She suggested that they split the fundraiser money for just a day trip to Disneyland for everyone.
Except even Ms Bustier says D’argencourt would never allow it. The man likes fairness, and only those who worked at the fundraisers will get to go.
Lila could pull all the waterworks she liked, but D’argencourt only told her that would teach her to skip work.
Lila’s entourage were disappointed but resigned. It wasn’t until Chloé taunted Lila that anger began to emerge.
Chloé, who would be visiting Milan with her mother, couldn’t resist mocking those who were already feeling down.
Chloé: for someone who claims to know celebrities personally, Lila, you don’t have much to show for it. All bark and no bite, as they say. Even Dupain-Cheng got featured in a magazine. What have you got? Some pictures on that useless blog? Being a ‘muse’ to a dirty designer? Ridiculous. To think these fools worship you is utterly ridiculous. But then, they are that foolish. Come on Sabrina, let’s go prep my luggage.
Lila’s entourage turned on her. Enough was enough. They had listened to her bragging and false promises and they wanted her to fulfill her end of the deal.
Lila backed away, insisting she was telling the truth but after the backlash she received, she won’t be promising anything for a while, nor can she give away contact numbers. Photos, sure.
Alya snapped: photos aren’t enough. I need more concrete proof. Video evidence!
Lila: I don’t have that!
Ivan: then you’re nothing but full of hot air
Nino: I suggest you run. Now.
Frightened by their glares and ominous auras, Lila fled, mind already racing on how to deal with this disaster.
Perhaps it was because she was distracted that she tripped down the stairs. But Lila hit her head hard.
When she woke up in a hospital bed, she had no memories, and no one came to visit her. Not her classmates, not her boss (who fired her upon hearing the news), not even her busy mother.
Lila was confused and bored. She spent her time watching sitcoms on the hospital TV.
Lila: I bet I could think of more creative stories than that.
Side note: Marinette and her friends had a blast living at Disneyland.
(And yes, I was inspired by Gilderoy Lockhart)

I just realized why it makes total sense for Adrien/Chat Noir to be taller than Marinette/Ladybug. I mean, when was the last time you saw a ladybug that was bigger than a cat?

Regardless of how 1 feels about Chloe and Lila, I think it would be a waste if Monarch didn’t hand them some of the stolen miraculi. What’s the point of depicting not 1, but 2 of the heroes’ female peers as villainous if you’re not gonna let them become dark magical girls full time after the big bad gets his hands on a bevy of the show’s resident transformation trinkets? The writers better not let Felix have all the dark magical girl fun.

My #1 post of 2022
Yep, Marinette and Adrien telling their friends “don’t ask me why, but I need an alibi” is definitely happen at least once in a reboot of ML should be be a reboot and I am involved in said reboot.

Miraculous Writer’s Guild October Event 2020
Floured Faces, Frosted Lips by Team Ladybug: @sukker-sugar @deinde-prandium @pawsomelybuggy
Prompt: Baking
Summary: “Sugar, spice, and something nice for two oblivious idiots to do together on an autumn afternoon.”
Tumblr media
art by @pawsomelybuggy
-------------------------------
“All right, class!” Caline Bustier called with a clap of her hands. “I’m so excited to see so many of you have volunteered to assist with tomorrow’s charity bake sale.”
Marinette shifted in her seat, excited for the rest of the announcement. Alya nudged her a bit, amused by her excitement.
“Each of you will be randomly paired with a partner to bake fall-themed desserts with. I’ll let you out of class a little early this afternoon so that you have plenty of time to make something delicious. Then tomorrow, we will set up a spot to sell your treats. All the funds from the event will be donated to the local children’s hospital!”
Ms. Bustier continued her speech, but Marinette found it difficult to concentrate on anything but the part about having a baking partner. She hoped to be teamed up with someone fun, rather than have to spend the day in a hot kitchen with an awkward atmosphere. Although she hoped for a good partner, she still wanted to get stuff done, not just goof about.
She peeked over at Adrien, who was listening to Ms. Bustier speak with rapt attention. Getting paired with him would simply be too much to wish for. Knowing my luck, Marinette thought with a sigh, I'll get paired with Chloe. She thanked the imaginary charity that had prevented Lila from participating, as well.
“Ms. Bustier’s about to pick names,” Alya whispered, nudging her again. “Pay attention!” Marinette straightened up in her seat and looked to Bustier. She held a clipboard and a pencil, the paper on the board showing a list of the pairs.
“This year the groups will be,” she started, building a bit of suspense, “Chloe and Alix, Rose and Nathaniel, Ivan and Sabrina, Juleka and Alya, Nino and Kim, and Max and Mylene.” She stopped speaking for a moment, catching her breath. “Finally, Adrien and Marinette.”
Marinette eyes went wide, a bit with horror and a bit with overwhelming joy.
She nearly jumped right out of her seat when Adrien turned around to give her a little smile and wave. “It looks like you and me get to be partners, Marinette! I’m sure it’s gonna be a dream working together with you,” he beamed, making Marinette’s heart stutter for a brief moment.
She belatedly returned the smile and wave before coming back to her senses, “Ah! Yeah! I’m super excited to get to work with you. You’re amazing at everything, it’ll turn out great for sure.”
Adrien’s face seemed to scrunch up in a bit of a cringe. “Actually… I don’t really know that much about baking. I’m probably going to end up following your lead for the most part,” he said with a sheepish smile.
"Fat's thine! Uh, sorry, I mean, that's fine! We can, um, we can work at my house if you want? You know, since I live above a bakery and all that. Got all the supplies!" she added with a nervous laugh.
Mercifully, an angry shriek from Chloe Bourgeois saved Marinette from getting any deeper into the pit of awkwardness she had started digging for herself.
“EXCUSE ME,” Chloe called out, “I’m supposed to be paired with Adrien!” Everyone collectively sighed, Alix making a noise equivalent to a snort and laugh.
“Honestly, I would side with her, but I’m not putting him through that.” Alix remarked.
“It is utterly ridiculous! I refuse to work with this hooligan!” Chloe shrieked, gesturing toward her partner.
Ms Bustier opened her mouth to intervene, but Alix waved her off. “It’s fine Ms. Bustier, really. Someone has to handle her. Besides, this might be fun,” she said, mischief glinting in her eyes as she turned back to her partner. “Just relax, Bourgeois. I’m not gonna kill you with my baking. And remember, this is for charity. It’s not about you. Think of the children.”
Chloe growled at her before plopping back down into her seat with a huff. Marinette didn’t miss the way the blonde girl glared at her in the process.
Adrien rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh. “Don’t worry about Chloe,” he said reassuringly. “She’ll get over it. Anyway, when should I come over to your place? I’m really excited to be with - I mean, to learn from you.”
Marinette nodded a bit dumbly, her smile widening as the seconds passed. Adrien turned back to back the front, right as Alya nudged her, breaking Marinette out of her trance. Alya nodded to the front, signaling to pay attention as Bustier went on with the lesson.
 ---
The class seemed to drone on for quite a while after that, but nobody was really paying attention anymore, as they were too excited for the bake sale. At least, Marinette wasn’t paying attention, that was for sure. She seemed to float through the rest of the lesson in a daze; before she knew it, everyone was packing up and preparing to head home.
"You ready to make something amazing together?"
Marinette nearly choked at the question. She glanced up to see Adrien, who was smiling up at her despite the uncertainty painted on his face.
"Sorry...you did say we were going to your place to bake after school, right? I’m actually pretty lucky, because Nathalie texted me earlier to say my photo shoot this afternoon was cancelled, plus with Ms. Bustier letting out of class to bake I’m really all yours until at least dinner time, but-"
“No, of course! Let’s go!” Marinette said. She headed out the door with him, staring at the ground as she walked. She wanted to look at him, talk with him, sure, but she knew the words wouldn’t come together.
Marinette fidgeted a bit trying to come up with something to say, but Adrien beat her to it. “So, any ideas on what we’re baking? We should probably come up with something before we get there.”
His voice abruptly pulled her out of her scrambled thoughts. “Right! You’re right, we probably should come up with something,” she said, tucking a loose piece of hair behind her ear. “Was there anything you had in mind?” she asked, tilting her head to the side.
“I might not have much experience as a baker, but I’m up to the challenge of making anything! Maybe something we can easily make a lot of in a short amount of time,” Adrien replied, tapping his lips with a finger.
Marinette paused and contemplated for a moment. “Well, it’s fall themed. So for flavors we could go with pumpkin, maple, apple, or cinnamon.”
“Hm, that’s true. So would we do some kind of pie or cake?” he asked as they began to approach the bakery.
Marinette seemed to perk up a bit as an idea struck her. “Ooh! We could do cupcakes! We could have different flavors of cakes and frosting and then decorate them all fall themed! Maybe the frosting on the pumpkin cupcake could be pumpkin shaped, or we could frost maple leaves, there’s a lot we could probably do. But I think cupcakes are pretty safe - we could make a bunch!” she rambled, her eyes practically dazzling with excitement as she looked at him.
Adrien responded with a smile so bright, Marinette nearly fell over. "Cupcakes sound like a brilliant idea. Honestly, as long as you're in charge, I'm sure whatever we make is going to be amazing. Everything you suggested sounded just heavenly."
She beamed at his praise. You're heavenly, she thought to herself with a happy sigh.
 "What was that?"
Marinette ducked her head as blood rushed to her cheeks. Did I just say that out loud??  In her panic, more words poured from her mouth of their own accord. "Oh, nothing! Nothing at all! Definitely nothing about how your smile is so nice - I mean, ice! Icing! I was thinking about how much icing sugar we'll need to frost our cupcakes."
When the door to the bakery came into view, she practically cried with relief. "Oh, look, we're here! I'm, um, I'm just gonna run upstairs and throw my stuff in my room, feel free to wait down here and make yourself at home, be right back!" Not waiting for Adrien's response, Marinette all but dove inside, scurrying through the bakery and upstairs to her family's apartment as quickly as her legs could carry her.
It wasn't until she was in the safety of her room that Marinette even stopped to take a breath. "Why am I freaking out like this?" she wondered aloud. "It's not like we haven't been alone together before. We're friends. Friends bake together, right? I can do this. Remember, you’re doing this with Adrien for a charity event. Think of the children, Marinette. Think of the children."
Tikki flew out from her hiding spot to offer some additional advice. "You may want to think a little faster, Marinette. You kind of just left your friend downstairs."
Marinette froze up at the realization that she had just left Adrien at the door. “Oh no,” she muttered. She sprinted over to the trapdoor and flung it open, dashing down the flights of stairs before skidding to a halt right in front of the arch leading back into the bakery. She stopped and took a deep breath, walking back behind the counter and to the door as calmly as she could.
Adrien was still standing there, right where she had left him. When he saw her, he gave her a smile, but if Marinette wasn’t mistaken she could’ve sworn there was a hint of mischief in his eyes as well. It seemed to disappear as quickly as it came.
“You all good?” he asked, snapping Marinette out of her train of thought.
“Huh? Oh! I’m fine, I just had a lot of books in my bag so I put them away really quick,” she said with a nervous laugh, “Uh, I’ll take you upstairs. You can put your things down in the living room and we can use the kitchen there since my parents are busy in the bakery kitchen.”
“Okay! Sounds good to me," Adrien nodded. Marinette let out one more little nervous laugh before turning around and leading him up the stairs.
She needed to pull herself together, remember the children. Do it for the children. The children—
 “Hey, Marinette?”
Marinette froze at the entryway. “Yes?”
“Are you sure it’s okay that I’m here today? You seem kind of...distracted.”
She glanced guiltily at her baking partner, whose smile seemed to have lost a bit of its luster. Instantly, her heart dropped into her stomach; the last thing she needed was for him to think she didn’t actually want him there. “I’m fine, Adrien,” she assured him. “I promise. I’m just...nervous.”
 “Nervous? Why?”
Because I want to impress you? Because I can barely form sentences when you’re near, and we’re about to spend hours in the kitchen together?
“I...just want to do a good job with these cupcakes,” she said after a moment’s consideration. “I know my parents run a bakery and all, so I guess I’m suddenly feeling a bit of pressure.” Though it wasn’t the whole truth, at least it was something.
Adrien nodded in understanding. “I get it. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to put pressure on you or anything.”
Marinette shook her head. “No, no! It’s not your fault. I do this to myself all the time.”
He smiled at her once more. “Well, this time, you’re not alone. I may not come from a line of bakers, but I know how to follow directions. And I’m willing to learn. So if you don’t mind teaching me, I think we could make a really good team.”
They exchanged warm smiles that made Marinette’s heart melt, but she continued to get prepared. They went up the stairs and into the apartment, Adrien going over and sitting on a barstool while Marinette grabbed miscellaneous bowls, spoons, and whisks from cabinets above and below.
“Alright, let’s get started.” Marinette declared.
 ---
Marinette went around the kitchen, grabbing different ingredients and tools and setting them by the stove as Adrien held the bowl against his lower chest, trying his best to lightly fold the batter over itself.  She maneuvered behind him and took sheet pans out of the oven, preheating it after everything was out.
Despite getting off to a rocky start, things were actually going pretty well. She smiled, flicking her wrist up into the air while whispering the directions to herself - something she did to keep herself motivated or on task while baking. Thankfully, Adrien didn’t ask.
Adrien’s face scrunched up in thought as he stared at his bowl. “Does this look okay?” he asked.
Marinette glanced over at his bowl and nodded. “Yep! I already put the cupcake liners in the pan, so you can just pour that in. You can use the ice cream scoop if you wanted it to be neater,” she instructed. "I’m gonna start making frosting for the pumpkin cupcakes. Let me know if you need any help putting the batter in!”
Adrien made a little ‘o’ shape with his mouth, clearly impressed. “Okay, I think I got it. Did you want me to start the batter for the maple cupcakes after?” he asked.
“I already set everything up for those, so you can go on ahead and do that,” she replied as she dug around for the powdered sugar.
She glanced over at Adrien putting the last bit of batter in the tin and smiled to herself. They did make a good team, didn’t they? Adrien could almost give Chat Noir a run for his money.
Adrien placed the empty mixing bowl in the sink, a look of satisfaction painted on his face. “You know, Marinette? I think I was right. We make a pretty good team.”
Marinette blushed. “I was just thinking that,” she admitted. “For someone who is new to baking, I’m really impressed by you!”
“But you’re just incredible in the kitchen,” he countered. “I mean, using the ice cream scoop for the batter? I never would have thought of that.”
 “Oh, that? That’s nothing.”
“No, seriously! You’re just so...resourceful.” Adrien’s voice dropped lower, and he looked away. “For a minute there you totally reminded me of…” he seemed to mutter to himself, before trailing off.
Though he was not facing her directly, Marinette noticed what she could have sworn was a hint of red across his cheeks. “Reminded you of who?” she asked, unable to hide her curiosity.
“Of Ladybug,” he murmured. "But I suppose that makes sense, what with you being my everyday Ladybug and all."
 Marinette’s breath hitched. Oh.
Unspoken words hung over them as the silence continued. Marinette shrunk into herself a bit, crossing the kitchen space over to the fridge. Adrien went over to the part of the counter and started on the maple batter, the silence eventually becoming less tense and more comfortable.
Adrien pursed his lips for a moment. “Um, sorry, but when do I add in the maple syrup?” he asked, holding up the bottle.
“Ah, when you’re done with the dry ingredients you can get another bowl and start beating the butter. You can mix the syrup in with the butter after that,” she said, glancing over at him a moment after answering. She had to stifle a laugh.
Adrien seemed confused. “Is everything alright?”
Marinette snickered. “You got a little…” she trailed off, gesturing to her face. Adrien only seemed even more confused and tilted his head to the side.
“Hang on,” she said, getting up from where she was sitting in front of the cabinet. She walked over to him, picking up a clean rag and using it to gently wipe his nose and cheeks.
“You’ve got flour all over your face,” she said, showing him the cloth covered in flour. Adrien was practically frozen with a little bit of pink dusting his cheeks.
It didn’t take long for Marinette to realize what she’d just done and froze up as well. They were still almost nose to nose, so close that she could practically count the light smattering of freckles dotting his cheeks. She didn’t realize Adrien even had freckles. Unconsciously, her gaze drifted down to his mouth, then back up to his eyes - glittering pools of green that seemed to be doing the exact same thing she was.
If she were bolder, this might have been the moment to make her move. Instead, another thought invaded her mind. The children. Think of the children.
The buzzer dinged, interrupting their silent standoff. Adrien spoke, his voice hoarse. “We, ah - we should probably check on those before they burn.”
Marinette stepped away with a nod, blushing furiously at what she had almost done. She’d literally gone from ditching Adrien at her front door to being on the verge of kissing him. What was wrong with her?
She swiped a pair of oven mitts and opened the oven door, the hot air blowing in their faces. She grabbed a toothpick and stuck it in one of them, checking that it had come back out clean. She pulled out the pan and set it on the stove top, closing the door. She slipped the mitts off her hands and onto the counter, grabbing the towel slung over her shoulder and dabbing her forehead.
Marinette turned back to him, finally not being a flustered mess for the first time in the past few minutes. However, when she spun around, he broke into a fit of giggles.
 “What is it?” she asked.
Adrien looked up from keeling over and holding his stomach, and rubbed his forehead. Marinette became more confused by the action, until she felt her own forehead. She brought her fingers back down in front of her face and found them white and powdered from the towel.
Normally, Marinette would have become a flustered mess at the notion that she’d just rubbed her face with the towel that she rubbed his face with, but she couldn’t help but burst out laughing along with Adrien instead.
It took them both a while to sober up, and Adrien was rubbing tears out of his eyes by the time they both caught their breath again. “So, what do we do next?”
“Well,” Marinette said as she got the last giggles out of our system. “We should get that next batch into the oven, but the ones that just came out need to cool a bit longer before we frost them. So...you do the cupcakes while I work on making the frosting?”
Adrien gave her a little salute. “Aye aye, captain,” he said with a little grin.
And just like that, the pair continued as if nothing had happened. Within a few minutes, the maple cupcakes were baking away, and Marinette was scooping frosting into a set of piping bags.
“So, I’m guessing that you’ve never frosted cupcakes before?”
Adrien shook his head. “I’ve got a feeling it’s a little harder than mixing ingredients in a bowl.”
“You’re not wrong,” Marinette agreed. “But what if I taught you how?”
“You’d do that?” Adrien asked hopefully. “I can’t guarantee that my cupcakes will look as beautiful as yours, but I don’t want to make you do all the work.”
“Of course I would. We’re a team, remember? Anyway, we can keep the designs simple. Nothing too intimidating,” she added with a smile.
Handing him a piping bag, Marinette grabbed a clean plate and placed it between them on the counter before reaching for a bag of her own. Carefully, she twisted the end of her piping bag closed, squeezing the frosting out in a straight line. “The trick to frosting cupcakes,” she said, “is to keep the pressure even while you’re squeezing the icing out of the bag. That way, it doesn’t spill out too quickly.” She passed the plate to him. “Now you try.”
Adrien followed in suit, twisting the end and squeezing the middle. He slowly moved the bag across the plate, the icing coming out the front. He stuck his tongue out in a small blep as he focused. Marinette smiled at it a bit at the action. It reminded her of something Chat Noir would do whenever he had to focus.
He stepped back from the line of icing he drew on the plate, smiling at his work. Marinette looked over it - the line was slightly wobbly, but overall, good for a first try.
“Great! Now try making something with the frosting. It can just be a circle or a little flower.”
“Okay!” Adrien said as he adjusted his grip and started drawing with the frosting. He picked up a piping bag or two with different colors to add little details.
It took him a minute, but once he was done, he stepped back with a wide grin. “Ta-da!”
Marinette looked over at his plate and gaped. She couldn’t find the words to respond, instead making a few incoherent sounds.
“Cat got your tongue?” Adrien said, shooting a wink at her.
The pun caught her off guard even more.
“That's - you - how?” she stammered, looking back and forth between Adrien and the cute, perfectly frosted cat on the plate in front of her.
“I guess that’s what happens when you have an amazing teacher,” Adrien said, waggling his brows a bit.
Marinette looked at him, dumbfounded, “But I didn’t…?” she paused and stared at him. “Are you secretly some expert cupcake froster?”
“No, but I am a very attentive student. And who better to learn from than the daughter of the best bakers in Paris?”
“You say that like my parents are baking royalty,” Marinette scoffed.
“If they’re royalty, then that must make you the princess,” Adrien replied smoothly, shooting her a smile so blindingly flirty that, combined with his use of the word princess, almost made her believe she was talking to Chat Noir himself. An unmasked, totally gorgeous, baking Chat Noir.
I must be short circuiting, she thought. Adrien and Chat Noir? Impossible. Must refocus. Think of the children. The children...
Marinette took deep breaths in, deep breaths out. It was fine. It was going to be fine.
“So we may not need to practice with the icing as much as I thought we would.” she said, sliding the bags of different coloured icing to the side. She cleared the counter and moved the cooler cupcakes into the space, leaving the stove top for the batch about to come out of the oven.
“I guess we can sit for now. The cupcakes in the oven are probably gonna take fifteen minutes,” she said as she put her hands on his shoulders to lead him over to the sofa. He started giggling as she walked him over and pushed him onto a cushion where he plopped down.
“You know I could’ve walked myself, right? The sofa was right behind us,” Adrien snorted.
Marinette, in turn, scrunched her nose. “You have a better idea of what we can do, Agreste?” she asked, putting a hand on her hip.
Adrien grabbed her hand and pulled himself back up. He stood before her, just inches away, eyes gleaming. “If you ask me,” he said lowly, “I don’t think the day would be complete if we didn’t…”
Marinette gulped, on the verge of total shutdown for the umpteenth time that day. “If we didn’t what?” she croaked.
“If we didn’t taste what we’ve made before we sold them,” Adrien finished. Still holding her hand, he pulled her back into the kitchen. All Marinette could do was follow.
He let go of her hand once he got over to the cupcakes, leaving her at a barstool to figure out how to breathe again. Marinette looked up, seeing Adrien holding two halves of a cupcake - half for him, she assumed, and half for her. She took her portion and split that in half as well, popping a piece into her mouth.
Adrien picked up the green icing bag and squeezed a bit on the top, stuffing it in his mouth. Marinette giggled at him, grabbing the pink icing and smearing some on her other piece. She ate it and nodded her head in satisfaction.
“Hang on,” Adrien said, pointing to the corner of his mouth. “You got some on your lip.”
“Oh, okay,” she said. She took a napkin and wiped her lip, somehow missing any trace of icing. She brought the napkin against her lip again, still missing the icing.
Adrien walked over and placed his hand against hers and asked, “May I?” Marinette blinked a few times, her cheeks becoming red as she nodded with a shaky breath.  He tilted her chin up with his free hand, brushing his thumb against the corner of her mouth and catching the extra icing on it. He stepped away and wiped the pad of his thumb against his own lips now, licking the icing off.
Marinette stood in shock for a good thirty seconds.
If she had thought her face was red before, she was definitely darker than Ladybug’s suit by now. She had to break her gaze from him, covering her mouth with a hand in a futile attempt to cover her blush. She couldn’t even think of the children.
In the midst of Marinette rummaging through her brain for a proper response, the front door suddenly burst open, revealing her parents.
“I’m so sorry we couldn’t greet you sooner, we were having our rush hour down in the bakery,” Sabine said, smiling warmly at the two of them. Tom waved from behind her with a platter of snacks.
Marinette had been startled, but she soon puffed out a breath of air she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. “Hey, Mom and Dad! It’s all good, we’re alright. We’re pretty much done, actually - we just need to decorate after we take the cupcakes out of the oven,” she said with a voice ever so slightly wobbly from being flustered.
Adrien gave them a polite smile and wave as well. “Hello Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng!” he greeted.
"Please, call me Tom," Marinette's father said with a laugh. He smiled with approval at the batch of cupcakes out on the table. "I see you've already got one batch ready to frost. They look wonderful!"
Marinette glanced over at Adrien, and struck by how quickly his previous swagger had given way to his usual shy sweetness. "This is all thanks to Marinette, really. Your daughter is an amazing baker, and an even more incredible teacher," Adrien said. "She's been so, so patient with me all afternoon. I can't say enough how grateful I am to have been paired with her for this project."
It seemed silly to say it, but of all the things that had happened so far - the flour, the flirting, the frosting - it was the sincerity in Adrien's voice as he spoke that pushed Marinette past the point of functioning. It was just too much. "I need a minute," she suddenly blurted out. "Can you please excuse me? I just, I...I'll be back in a minute."
She didn't wait for an answer, but simply ran up to her room, leaving a bewildered Adrien in the kitchen with her equally bewildered parents as she shut the trap door behind her.
Blowing out a breath, Marinette struggled to make sense of the events of the past couple hours.
Tikki flew over from in front of Marinette’s desktop, a concerned look across her face. “What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Marinette slowly nodded, taking deep breaths in and out, attempting to not hyperventilate.
“I just- I can’t-'' she stammered between breaths, “I don’t think I can function anymore. Adrien’s being so nice - not to mention flirty - and he’s made me need to think desperately about the children a whole lot.” Tikki just nodded in reply, flying over and rubbing Marinette’s cheek in a soothing manner.
“I’m sure everything will be fine. Besides, you like him, don’t you? How is this bad?” Tikki asked.
Marinette rubbed her finger against the back of Tikki’s head, sighing. “Yes, I do like him. But this is for charity, not flirting. Besides, he probably still sees me as a friend.” Marinette explained. “Plus, I can barely function around him normally, let alone inches apart.” she groaned, burying her face in a pillow beside her. “I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’m just gonna mess everything up and make a complete fool of myself at this point,” she mumbled, her voice muffled by the cushion.
Tikki was quiet, she flew over next to Marinette’s face, reassuringly rubbing her cheek against her’s.
They stayed like that for a moment until the sound of hesitant tapping came from the trap door. Tikki immediately flew away to hide and Marinette sat up.
 “Can I come in?”
Marinette felt her heart leap into her throat at the sound of Adrien’s voice.
The room fell into silence for a brief moment.
“...Yeah,” she eventually spoke up in a voice just barely above a whisper.
The trap door began to creak open, his blond locks peaking through. Her breath hitched once their eyes met.
"Your mom, uh...she sent me up here to check on you. Said something about us needing to clean up the kitchen so that they can get dinner started.” He paused, and Marinette noticed that his usual smile had been replaced with a frown. “Listen, I, um...I think I owe you an apology.”
Marinette’s brow furrowed. “What do you mean?”
Adrien pulled himself up the remaining steps and shut the trap door before giving her an answer. “I, um…” he began, rubbing the back of his neck, “I feel like maybe I made you uncomfortable just now. Or maybe the whole afternoon, even. I haven’t been respectful of your boundaries, and I’m sorry. I just...we were having fun, and I thought...anyway, what I thought doesn’t matter. I just hope I didn’t upset you too much.”
Her stomach twisted guiltily. She hadn’t stopped to think what message she’d been sending when she flew from the room, and now this sweet, adorable boy thought she was actually mad at him. Confused? A little. Flustered? Definitely. But not mad. Never mad.
“That’s not - I’m not -” she stuttered, “You didn’t upset me. It’s just...a lot to take in, having you here all afternoon.”
“Oh,” he said, dejection lacing his voice. “I’m sorry, I-”
“No, it’s not you!” she interjected. “I swear. It’s been...amazing having you as a partner, spending this time with you. It’s just, I don’t know...maybe I felt like we’ve been having too much fun? And I kinda felt weird about it.”
“Weird?” Adrien asked, cocking his head to one side.
Marinette shrugged. “You know, ‘cause this is supposed to be a charity thing.”
“Well, no one says that charity work can’t be fun,” he pointed out, a little glimmer of a smile returning.
“Yeah, well, fun is one thing, but flirting is another,” she shot back. Adrien seemed to stiffen at her words, and Marinette’s eyes widened as she realized what she’d just said. Oh no. “Sorry, I meant-”
 “You were flirting with me?”
Heat rose in her cheeks, and she struggled to find the strength to respond. Think of the children, she told herself. “Well, I-”
 “Because I was.”
Marinette sat cemented to the chaise, unable to move or say anything.
Adrien said, fidgeting with his hands as he spoke, seemingly nervous. “I...I’ve liked you for a while. Everything you do is amazing, not to mention what you’d do for other people. You are amazing, and I don’t know how I didn't see it the first time we met. I couldn’t possibly put into words how wonderful you are to be around. I’m sorry if I pushed boundaries, or made you feel uncomfortable. I feel like I misinterpreted everything. Sorry if I ruined the whole day.” Adrien apologized, twisting the ring on his finger. He glanced over to the side, avoiding eye contact.
Marinette felt a flurry of emotions run through her all at once. But what made her heart lurch the most was the look of hurt spread across his face.
“Adrien… you didn’t ruin anything at all, I promise,” she said sincerely, looking straight at him. “I had a lot of fun spending time with you. In fact, I’ve always enjoyed the time we’ve spent together. You’re amazing too, you know?” Adrien looked like he wanted to protest, but Marinette kept going, "It was my fault for confusing you. I was so focused on keeping my feelings in check I… I didn't really stop to think about yours."
“You...you were trying to keep your feelings in check?” Adrien asked haltingly. “Your feelings about me?”
“Well, yeah,” Marinette replied, confused by the tone of his question. “I mean, you’ve been so sweet, even when I was ditching you at my front door and ordering you around and wiping flour off your face. And yeah, I got a little flustered when you licked the frosting that was on my face - I mean, not that you licked it off my face, but you know what I mean - and there are a couple times when you’ve been a really close and it’s been hard to concentrate because you smell so good, but that’s not your fault because my kitchen is pretty small...”
She trailed off when she noticed the look on Adrien’s face, which could only be described as an adorable combination of amused and awed.
Adrien chuckled quietly. “You, um...you didn’t quite catch everything I said, did you?”
She gulped, wracking her memory of the past few minutes. “I caught the part where you said you were sorry, but like I said, you don’t have anything to be sorry about, because I-”
“Marinette.” He scooted closer to her on the chaise, and when he took her hand in his, she thought her heart was going to stop. “I said that I liked you. That I like you.”
Marinette looked down to their hands and back up again, dumbfounded. “You do?” she squeaked.
Adrien chuckled again and smiled, looking into her eyes. “Yeah.”
Marinette thought her heart couldn’t beat faster. She brought her free hand to cover her mouth, her face going dark red. “Oh my god.” Her face grew a giddy grin.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe this. I’ve liked you since you gave me your umbrella at the beginning of the year...” Her phone dinged from her desk, but she paid it no mind. “I’ve been trying to tell you for the longest time, but every attempt went horribly wrong.” Her phone dinged again. She brought her hand down from covering her face, rubbing it up and down her other arm.
Her phone dinged two more times, finally making her annoyed enough to get up and check it. “I’ll be right back.” Marinette heard Adrien snicker from the chaise while she got up. She picked it up and checked her messages, finding they were from Alya. She sighed and read through them before sending a quick reply: I was doing something, I’ll get back to you.
She went back over to the chaise and sat down, holding his hands in hers. “Anyway, all of my attempts have gone horribly, horribly wrong and I can’t possibly put how happy I am into words. “And I-”
Marinette was cut off by Tom hollering up the stairs. “Dinner’s ready!”
She sighed. “We should probably go down.”
Adrien seemed to hesitate for a moment. “Wait,” he said, gently taking Marinette’s hand in his as she began to get up. "Just so that I'm sure I'm not dreaming this...I like you, and you like me?"
Marinette stared at him, briefly confused. But once she saw the endearingly hopeful look in his eyes, she smiled. She leaned in and stole a quick peck to the lips before Adrien had the chance to do anything.
“Would you like to stay?” she asked shyly. “After all, we do still have cupcakes to decorate.”
Adrien looked at her with big, awestruck eyes. “I would like that.”
 ---
It took significantly more effort than Marinette had anticipated to keep her mouth shut about what had happened between her and Adrien. But as the two of them warded off curious stares from their classmates while they arranged their cupcakes at the bake sale booth the next day, she knew they were probably doing the right thing.
This wasn’t the time to indulge in teenage gossip, she reminded herself. They had the children to think about.
Still, despite the challenge, Marinette kind of liked the idea of keeping things a bit of a secret for the time being. She snuck a little smile at Adrien, who winked as he presented her with a spare cupcake.
It had a perfectly frosted black cat on it.
Across the room, Alix placed the cakes they - or rather, she - had baked on the table near the end, while Chloe sat and sulked behind it.
“Alix, why is she so mad?” Kim asked.
“No reason. I just made her do some of the work,” Alix replied, grinning to herself.
“She got batter all over my brand new sweater!” Chloe yelled.
Alix scoffed. “Yeah, no, you did that to yourself,” she shot back.
Back where Marinette was, Adrien stifled a laugh, shooting her an amused look when she snorted at Chloe and Alix’s bickering. Alya walked up next to her and watched the silent communication unfold.
“So, you wanna tell me what’s going on with you today?”
Guiltily, Marinette turned to face her friend, who was laden with a plate of cookies. “You never answered my texts last night,” Alya continued. “And now you’re here with Adrien, and it almost looks like you’re actually comfortable around him. I’ve been here for ten minutes and I don’t think I’ve heard you stutter once! What gives?”
Marinette’s cheeks tinged a little pink, “We just worked really well together, that’s all,” she said, fidgeting.
Alya gawked at her. “Did someone cast a spell on you or something? Now I really want to know what happened.”
Marinette gave her a look. “Of course not. We just ended up having a lot of fun at my place and baked some mean cupcakes. Nothing really happened, we- we thought about the children. It’s a charity event after all,” she insisted, sneaking a look back at Adrien...who was trying to stifle another laugh.
Her friend pouted in return, “I know that, I just--”
“Hey, Als! I need your help setting up this table over here!” Nino called out from behind a table he was attempting to carry.
“Oh, okay, I’m coming!” she called back, shooting a quick glance back at Marinette that read ‘this isn’t over’ as she jogged over to him.
Marinette sighed to herself, she turned around to look back at Adrien, who was tapping away at his phone with a cheesy grin. She raised an eyebrow and walked over to him.
“What’s with the face?” she asked with a laugh.
Adrien looked up at her. “Oh, you know, just doing a little promoting,” he said, showing her his phone.
It was a photo of the two of them in the kitchen after dinner. The two of them, covered in frosting and flour, dorky smiles adorning their faces as their cheeks smushed up against each other, each hoisting up a cupcake. The caption read, “Made some magical cupcakes together with this magical girl - come get your own at the Collège Françoise Dupont Bake Sale today! All proceeds benefit the Hospital for Sick Children. #bakesale #doitforthechildren #flourandfrostingfordays”
Marinette admired the photo of them, feeling bubbly on the inside.
“You do realize everyone is gonna freak out about this, right?” she said suddenly, nudging him with her shoulder. “What happened to keeping things quiet?”
“Do you not want me to post it?” he frowned.
She shook her head after a moment. “Nah, go ahead. Alya’s gonna get the scoop out of me one way or another,” she said.
“If you say so.” Adrien smirked, hitting the post button.
With that, the bake sale was bombarded in mere moments. There wasn’t a single crumb left by the end of the day...except maybe for Kim’s disaster of an experiment.
Marinette smiled over at Adrien, who beamed back at her. Despite her exhaustion, she couldn’t help but feel proud of herself - not just for what she and Adrien had accomplished together, but for how she had finally managed to tell him how she felt. To learn that he felt the same way was just the icing on the cake.
She suspected it wouldn’t be long before Alya (and the rest of her classmates) figured out just how much things had changed between her and Adrien in the kitchen that afternoon. Until then, she would just think ahead to next year’s bake sale - and the promise of more floured faces and frosted lips to come.

school festival part 4
The early chatter in the school indicated the excitement of the festival that was yet to begin. Everyone was decorating their respective booths and displaying their products. There was one with chocolate with different shapes and packing, one was decorating many scary masks on theirs, and there were them, the miraculous trio who was setting numerous soft dolls on the booth. Ladybug with her old and new costume, Honeybee, Ryu, Python and Luna were sitting in the front. Many students who were setting up the booth already came to ask about it before promising to come in their free time.
It wasn’t long before the festival started and the first of the family came, followed by many other. It didn’t take them long to zero their attention on the dolls and coming over.
Oh my! You have the new miraculous team! I saw how ladybug fought against many of the akuma and I absolutely loved it.
You have honeybee! I’ll take her, she’s pretty.
Luna is the best! I’ll be just as strong as her.
 Python.
I’ll take Ryu. She took me back home after I became akuma. She is pretty nice.
One by one, the dolls were picked. Many took notice of the masks on the other booth and specifically asked for a matching hero one. Some even bought scary ones just for fun. It wasn’t even half day and most of the dolls were already sold out.
I think we’re going to sell them sooner than we thought.
Let’s see everything after we’re done.                                 Marinette suggested making the other two agree. Just as they thought the day couldn’t go better, Lila Rossi and Alya Cesaire and many others of the akuma class came to see.
Seeing that the three pariahs of the class were selling their products successfully, they seethed in jealously. The akuma class has decided to do a bake sale but none of them, apart from a few, had any idea about baking. Normally it was Marinette who did all the baking, and she would ask her parents to donate some of the baked goods for their sale. Now that they were not friends, Marinette and her parents had no need to do any thankless task for anyone who won’t even pay for that.
But then again it is the akuma class that we’re talking about.
The very class who, despite knowing Marinette for so many years, believed some liar over the girl they knew. Since they didn’t want Marinette’s help, they got what they wanted.
Seeing the so called bullies being successful, more than they ever could be, they turned green in jealousy.
This isn’t fair.              Alya gritted her teeth.                     Why are we not selling much while these awful bullies are raking money?
Their usual bake sale was a failure. The only edible baked goodies were Sabrina’s chocolate chip cookies and Rose’s cupcakes. The rest were either inedible or weren’t even good enough to look at.
Lila bit her nails trying to think of something. When she wanted the class at her beck and call, she wasn’t expecting them to be so useless without Marinette. But……..
An idea lit up in her eyes, blinking her eyes, tears swell up in her eyes.
I’m so sorry. If my seamstress hasn’t broken her arm, I would have got her to make these dolls. It’s just………                  Lila showed reluctance adding a few sniffles to increase the effect.             I think Marinette heard my idea and…….and…..
If the akuma class was seething in jealousy, now they were seething in rage. Just when they thought they were going break Marinette’s stupid stall, Miss Mendeleev came in their view halting all of them in their advance.
Miss Mendeleev was bending over looking at some dolls, nodding at whatever Marinette was saying. Since the strictest teacher was in front of them, many of the class left. They were stupid, but not enough to not fear the teacher in front of them. She would definitely take them to the principal’s office to get suspended.
Lila was the only one left behind as she clenched her teeth. When she looked around to inconspicuously get the trio in trouble, her eyes fell on the mask stall. The boy, who was looking after it, was busy arguing with a customer.
Smirking, she walked quietly and snatched a random mask and walked away without stopping. Taking out her phone, she called on a number with a butterfly emoji.
Hawkmoth, an akuma would be nice to ruin a good day. Don’t you think?
Lila smiled innocently as the call was cut off. Just like she anticipated, the flutter of the wings could be heard in just a few minutes. Extending the mask she stole, she let the akuma settle before putting it on.
 Hello hawk moth.
Chimera, you know what to do.
She giggled, before a familiar transformation washed over her. In place of a girl, was a four legged hulking beast. Head with many horns, along with a demonic head on its chest and a snake extending from where a tail should be.

The one where the class "takes advantage of Marinette by having her make stuff for them". All my knowledge is secondhand, but from what I can gather, there’s little to no proof of that. Also the trope where she plans things like class trips and fundraisers, and things go wrong when she doesn’t. When I was in middle school, students didn’t plan shit.
GOD I hate these ones so much! Because they're totally made up!
Yeah. Mari has made a handful of things. But nowhere in Canon is this a major trait!
We can guess that someone like Mari would make gifts for people because that's who she is. But those are gifts.
And retroactively demanding money for years worth of gifts just because you had a falling out is such a dick move. Like. Damn girl get some help.
And the trips/fundraisers!!!!!!
Bitch!!! Marinette has only been Class President /this year/!!!! Chloé was the class president in previous years!! So even if there were all these trips and fundraisers that a class president plans, then it would have been Chloé and/or Sabrina who did that in the past! There is no trip or fundraiser Marinette would have been so heavily involved in???? I could see /maybe/ her running a bake sale but still.
(Not to mention that this sort of thing is more on the teacher's list. But these saltfics have Bustier be worthless as any kind of teacher so she hands Mari 99% of her job under "well the class president does this!". Which like. Again. That's not what Bustier would do and even if it was then she would've tried it with Chloé before who would've called her out if she did).
