Fun thing to do for Americans today:

Call your congress people and demand that they vote for the Ukraine aid bill.

It's been almost 500 days since congress last approved aid to Ukraine. 🇺🇦 forces are severely lacking in ammunition there, which means they cannot protect their cities and energy infrastructure and have to leave soldiers at the frontline without cover because they need to ration their firepower. Civilians are dying, soldiers defending freedom and democracy are dying. Ukraine will lose and cease to exist if they run out of weapons.

Russia is 100% responsible for the war, but inaction makes the USA complicit and will lead to a bigger war in Europe that is very likely going to include NATO directly, meaning your fellow countrypeople will actually have to come here and fight. Don't want that? Then fucking support Ukraine NOW! It's the morally right and logical thing to do and serves your own interests!!

Four months ago this incredible family was blessed with a beautiful boy Timofey

Today he and his mother Anna were found under the rubble after russian drone attack on Odesa:

This is 3 years old Mark with his mother Anastasia. Tomorrow he could celebrate his birthday:

…but he won’t. His body was found under the rubble this morning. Along with his dad’s. His mother is in critical condition in a hospital.

This is their house in Odesa. One of the hundreds of thousands Ukrainian houses ruined by russia. 8 people killed. Zero military sense, pure terrorism. That’s just what russia does. Every day. For more than 2 years.

This is Tara. She’s a rescue dog. Today, Tara, along with two other service dogs and rescuers, found the body of a murdered child in the ruins. Tara lay down and cried:

I’d very much want to lay down and cry too. But I can’t. I can’t feel anything anymore. I’m just very very cold.

On December 30, russia launched at least 6 strikes on Kharkiv. Buildings in the central part of the city are seriously damaged, a fire broke out on the spot.

Currently, at least 16 people are reported injured. This is happening the next day after a massive russian missile barrage in Ukraine.

This is a daily reminder that russia continues to target peaceful Ukrainian cities, trying to destroy them day by day. From the very start of the full-scale invasion Kharkiv continues to suffer from russian strikes, which are directed at residential buildings or historically important places.

UPD: Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reports about 21 injured due to the russian strikes.

Russia is “ethnically cleansing” (= genociding) non-white and non-Christian ethnic minorities both in their own country (through forced mobilisation) AND in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The Crimean Tatars have been subject to Russian terror more than once in the 20th and 21st century. Russian propaganda, their justifications for the war, their attempts to discredit the Jewish president of Ukraine are very often VERY antisemitic. Until they reached an agreement about grain exports, Russia blocked shipments of grain to put pressure on Ukraine and their allies by causing a food crisis which would affect predominantly people of colour in the global south. And there is no guarantee that Russia won’t break their end of the deal whenever they see fit because they are not a reliable partner.

But the Oscars don’t want to give Ukraine a stage because “everyone affected by the conflict is white”. Ummm.... okay?!
