Watching Granada Holmes: The Final Problem
See my other granada holmes recaps here.
So I had a choice this week. Either watch two episodes in the one week and watch FINA before a planned trip - or wait until next week. Obviously I chose the first option, so am now forced to wait to see Empty Hearse until after I get back. It feels poetic. I like it.
This will be a LONG recap - when I first watched this episode last night I was almost incoherent with feels and these recaps have always been a way for me to process those as I re-watch.
The first thing about this episode is that, of course, it’s not your usual story. No case, really. (The thing about the Mona Lisa is mostly window dressing.) No, the focus is the Moriarty Problem.
The Doylian reasons for this are well established, and Granada makes it all the more heartbreaking. The moments where the (ACD canon) narrative stretches thin are given new context, and painful purpose.
For example, the Doylian reasoning behind this story demands that Holmes and Watson do things that feel slightly OOC for a Granada story. Holmes doesn’t tell Watson some things - deliberately hides them, in the case of the spyglass moment. Watson doesn’t act or ask questions about some things. After all the time Granada’s spent building up the Holmes and Watson Team dynamic, it feels a bit Odd.
Yet in the same breath, the script, Brett and Burke’s body language and dialogue delivery, all of it, gives the answer as to why. Holmes was scared, and wanted to protect Watson. Watson wAs allowing that, humouring (caring for) Holmes and hoping that some time away might do them both good (protective of Holmes in turn). Granada’s shift in positioning of their dynamic makes this episode all the more tragic. It makes the ending hurt all the more.
Also, remember how in my review of Resident Patient, I railed against  “voiceover flashbacks”? Well. My position was tested this episode. There are decent chunks of the narrative that are told via those here. Most of the time, however, it actually works.
Why? It’s simple. The voiceovers for this episode are Watson and Holmes, no one else. Granada TV has spent the episodes leading up to this one establishing “Watson as narrator” by inserting a Watson voiceover at various points over the top of some scene from Baker St. So we’re primed for it to feel more real than some of the other voiceover flashbacks did. We are then further primed by the way Watson’s introduction in this episode is by one of those narration scenes ... and what he says in that voiceover: “it falls to me now to tell the story of Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty”.
We are directly told that we are listening to Watson recount the story. A story that has already happened. And that becomes one HELL of a gut-punch in the feels by the end.
Onto the actual recap.
The music in this show is EXCELLENT - the ending music last time was more sinister, and this episode’s opening tune is more frenetic. It made me sit up and take notice instantly.
Very “!!” intro - split second of confusion that resolves into Holmes fending off three attacks in quick succession. No slow start this time. Also the title card coming after the intro as an actual card is an emphasis in itself
Ominous music again... very spooky tinkly music.
And yay, Watson! ... hang on, that’s a view from a scope, like a sniper gun or something. Thus, the tension continues to build. Only increasing at what Watson says in the voiceover, and what he finds inside 221b.
Bless Mrs Hudson. She knows more than she lets on, and in this scene we catch a glimpse of one such thing. The change in her demeanour from exasperated but fond housekeeper into worried friend (of sorts) and back again is beautifully done. “... I didn’t like the look of him...”
Watson’s expressions, too, are excellent - he knows Something Is Up. Though not everything.
AHHHH! The juxtaposition of Watson’s “safe and secure as ever” with the scope and the “blind” man!! And that bloody tinkly music again! It’s an obvious framing thing, but it works for me.
Holmes’s entry... and here we are with the scene-setting of “Holmes is bloody scared (and very tired) about all this.”
That request for a match was not just because Holmes’s hands were sore. He wanted Watson’s closeness for comfort.
Holmes’s flashback was the most boring part of the episode for me. I know it’s setting up Moriarty’s desire to get rid of Holmes, but it’s just not as interesting as what happens after it.
Knowing me, it’s probably because it’s Holmes rather than Watson narrating. Holmes doesn’t have the cover of the Usual Narrator role after all.
Also, the bit with the naked model was a bit of a WTF moment.
The scene where Holmes announced how they would catch the thief then helped the gendarmes do so was good though.
Then, after Watson helps Holmes get to the point, we see Moriarty for the first time this episode.
I do like Eric Porter’s portrayal of him. Polished with threatening villainous potential always lurking near the surface... without being too over the top about it.
The scowly expression... and the nails of an elegant gentleman, even if he mostly uses them to tear up paper and scratch through forgeries. Quite the detail, that!
Watson and Holmes’s little domestic moment back in 221b is lovely. Any H/W content this episode is precious, and this one is untainted by the later angst.
A shame Watson had to interrupt it by prompting Holmes about the morning visitor. Nice touch of timing, Holmes saying “ow!” like that. Unable to be stoic after Watson’s question distracted him, perhaps?
Ah, the Moriarty scene. Some nice moments in the wordplay, if one overlooks the ACD canon words about “frontal lobe development” and such.
No, really, once I got over my wince at that, the rest of the dialogue, and the way Porter and Brett play it, is marvellous.
Watson’s look at Holmes, after, as he says, “If he doesn’t close upon you first” is heartwrenching in its concern.
Holmes says things about Moriarty and his gang being captured “Monday next”... and we start the clock on the “how much does Holmes really know, and what isn’t he telling Watson?” storyline.
For if Holmes is so sure that Moriarty and gang are to be put away, why is he wanting to go on holiday now?
Yes, his life has been threatened three times already today, but surely his life would be threatened wherever he went until the criminals were safely in gaol? Wouldn’t London - the place Sherlock Holmes knows best - be safer?
We know the Doylian reasons behind these things, but the character acting (etc.) in this episode makes us forget them.
You’re left with a story in which Holmes knew he was staring death in the face, and he wanted to try meeting it on his own terms - by going on one last adventure with his Watson.
Bravo, Jeremy Brett, and bravo John Hawkesworth (writer and adapter), for selling that impression to me.
The next ten minutes of run time are a game of cat and mice, where only one of the “mice” knows the full scope of the problem. The other, Watson, is being deliberately kept in the dark, and is trying to enjoy the holiday. Though he still worries for Holmes.
For example, the thing with the boulders... “a common enough occurrence in the mountains”. True, but ominous all the same.
The telegram from Mycroft about Moriarty escaping the net comes - leading to Holmes and Watson’s painful discussion about the possibility of Watson returning to England.
“You will find me a very dangerous companion, now.” [...]
“Would you be rid of me?”
“No!” [...]
“I’m not leaving you, Holmes. Not unless you order me to go.”
... *inarticulate screech* If that’s not the most “!!!!” moment...
Then THE SPYGLASS bit occurs.
W: “See anything?”
H: clearly saw a man with a gun in the distance, who’s now gone to ground. “No, nothing. But it’s time we were on our way.”
This was when I started muttering at the TV things like, “Holmes! Just tell him - argh, why...” - in addition to screaming inarticulately. I was beginning to understand what Granada’s adaptation had set me up for. Heartbreak.
The bit with the note drawing Watson away perplexed me on first watch, even as I understood what Granada were doing with the episode. But on second viewing, it’s actually an excellent example of the whole thing.
During their time in the Alps, Holmes hasn’t told Watson that they’re being followed and are in definite, not just perceived, danger.
So when the note “from Herr Steiler” - a trustworthy source in Watson’s mind - comes, of course Watson believes it.
And Holmes (whose facial expressions when Watson isn’t looking at him speak volumes) lets him go, because it means his Watson is safe.
*inarticulate screech of pain*
Oh help, the intense music has started again.
I wish they’d timed Watson’s look back slightly differently. Perhaps we’re supposed to think that he didn’t notice Moriarty’s approach because Moriarty disappeared behind the rock? It does seem like an odd detail for Granada’s Watson to overlook, so I’m going with that.
Eep, the look of confusion-turned-dawning horror on Watson’s face as he questions the innkeeper then runs back the way he came...
Brilliant staging with the bridge under the waterfall overhang, showing Holmes and Moriarty in classic showdown poses, then Watson the next scene later. Excellent partly because we can’t tell exactly how far behind Watson is... but the implication is he’s only a little behind.
But still too late.
My heart breaks for Watson in the scene above the falls. HERE is where the beauty of the voiceovers come through.
The way his voice catches between, fumbles over or emphasises certain words sells it for me. “It - was the sight of the alpenstock (sp?) that turned me cold, and sick. He had not gone to Rosenlaui.” (Pain. all the pain. Just from that little voiceover.)
Also, two facial expressions of his stand out here - the one where he reads that Holmes had suspected the note was fake ( :( ) and the one after the dramatised fall, where we fade back from the mist to Watson’s devastated expression.
The confrontation scene that he imagines almost snaps the tension though. Honestly Granada, that fight scene is ridiculous. *facepalms* I only allow it (barely) as the grief-stricken imaginings of Watson’s mind.
Fortunately, there’s the bit at the end to bring us back to where we started, with heavy hearts. I love so many things about this bit.
Circular narrative. The final words are framed as if spoken just before Watson’s introductory bit at the start. Granada has split up the first and last lines of the opening paragraph of ACD’s canon story to bookend the episode. It is heartbreaking and I love it.
Speaking to the camera. After telling us the story all episode through the voiceovers and such this technique also works beautifully. Giving us that moment of connection and shared grief.
You know that “gut-punch in the feels” moment I mentioned earlier? This is that. I tear up every time.
All the more poignant because this is, in fact, the last time we’ll see David Burke as Dr John Watson. I’m still not sure how I’ll cope with that.
Then, with the beautiful (different!) violin ending music... Granada’s The Final Problem is over. As is this recap. If you’d like to read more words about the episode, Plaid Adder’s review is excellent.

Chapter 1
M
Devin, New Jersey
Early November
“Mina?” I heard kaylina call out. I was in the back room changing for tonight. “Here you are Mina! I’ve been looking for you.” She said with an upset voice.
“Sorry girl but I have to get dress and then help Ryan set up the bar for tonight. It is bad enough I was late.” I said walking to my locker for my hair tie. Kaylina came up behind me and helped me put my hair in a ponytail. “What happened! Normally I am the late one but today is you. Is everything alright.” She finished putting my hair back and took a step back. I closed my locked and took a deep breath.
I turned around I nodded my head and walked to the door after checking myself out. Once we walked out I seen Ryan cleaning glasses. I walked over there while Kaylina walked to other side. “Ugh! I need a drink. Ryan! give me my normal.” Kaylina said waving her hand back and forth. Ryan rolled her eyes and gave her a sweet tea out the mini fridge. Kaylin’s rolled her eyes taking the drink and walking away.
When I looked to see where she was going i seen Emerald walked over after saying something to one of the dancers. She came over to the side of the bar and gave me a hug a small kiss on the forehead “Hey Mymy. Why didn’t you text me to come get you.”She smiled softly looking down at me. “Sorry Emmy. I just had a lot to do and Zy wouldn’t go to sleep unless I was there with him. So I was late and had to uber. Sorry I didn’t call you but weren’t you in a meeting anyway.” I said restocking the liquor on the shelves. “That didn’t matter Mymy! It’s late at night and you ubering is not safe! Don’t make me hurt you girl. I know you’re smarter than that!”
Emmy took my hand a smacked it like I was a child. I took my hand out of hers, rolled my eyes and walked to the back of the bar where we keep the liquor. Today was Friday and we are mostly busy over the weekend so I wanted to make sure we had enough liquor in the front for tonight.
A little later
“Girl my feet hurt. Those heels are not for the weak. Aren’t you glad you aren’t a stripper Mina.” Kaylina said seating down behind the bar. We have been open for about 2 hours at the club is busy.I’ve been running around trying to make sure i get everyone’s drink orders. “Yeah, I am but my feet hurt too from running around. Im kinda upset that I didn’t get to see you perform.” I said grabbing drinks and putting them on my tray. I didn’t even get to her what she said before I walked away to give this table of girls their shots. “Here you guys go sorry about the wait ladies.” I said smiling at the group of girls. It was someone birthday so they get free shots on the house.
“Oh my gosh! thank you so much. Guys we have to tip her good!” They drunk birthday girl said. She was on her 5 drink and I don’t even know what shot number she was on but drunk was a understatement for what she was. Walking away from the group I made it back to the bar and took a sit.
I went to messages and seen my brother texted me a picture of Zylus still sleep. I hearted the picture and put my phone in my pocket when I heard someone call my name. “Mina! I need you to be the bottle girl for the VIP room tonight. Mia called out so it just Layla but she didn’t want to do it. Ryan said looking at the tablet in her hand. She been stressing all night because people keep calling out so it’s just 3 of us tonight.
“Um, sure i guess it’s like i have a choice” I said getting up and walking to where she was. She handed me a tray with dark liquor and a tray with light liquor. “ Ok it’s the VIP room on the third floor so you can use the elevator and the cart to help you. Just swipe your card and the elevator should work if not here is mines. Once’s you get up there knock 4 times before entering so they can know you are coming in.” She said handing me her id card and the cart. Once’s I put the trays on the cart i walked over to the back of the club and used her id card to get in.
S
“I’m telling y’all she wants me.She just playing with me.” Nawi said passing the blunt to Emerald. She telling us about this girl that she met who is playing hard to get. I don’t know why she thinks we give a fuck but we really don’t care.
“I don’t think she play Nawi. Its been about 2 months now.If she was playing hard to get she would have been told you now.” Izgoie said with a smirk on her face.
After she says said that we hear 4 knocks at the door. “Come in” i said looking down at my phone. “Sorry to interrupt but I am Mina your bottle girl for today.” I hear this sweet smooth voice say. When I looked up I seen who was talking. She looks new because i’ve never seen her before. She looks about 5’5, with the softest brown skin. As she walks in and puts the bottles on the table I look over to Izgoie and she looks her up and down with this subtle expression.
“Mina! you not no bottle girl you’re a bartender. What you doing up here. Emerald said getting up. I looked at her confused. How the fuck she know her. Emerald grabs the girl “Mina” hand and walks to the corner of the room. I look back over to Izgoie and she looks at me “She beautiful. How come i’ve never seen her before.” she said looking at me than back at her
“I don’t know. I’ve never seen her before either.” I said looking at her fully. She had the prettiest curly hair with baby hairs out into swoops. Her eyes were 2 different colors, light brown and hazel.
And man let’s not forget her body. I can tell she had a little pug but it didn’t look bad on her.
“you know i don’t like you coming up here mina” Emerald said with an attitude.
They talked for a while before mina looked around and looked at me. We held eye contact before she looked at Izgoie. She smiled at her before putting thebottles in her hand on the table, hugged Emerald and walk out..

Zola Vessard & William Remond
The setting starts in a large and extravagant apartment complex in which a wild William hung upside down, his legs lying on a one of a kind vintage chair Zola had borrowed from his parents. His hair hadn’t been cut in a while letting it softly touch the floor as Zola walked in carrying two mugs. A coffee for William as he always needed caffeine and a hot chocolate for Zola who actually slept. Zola spotted William and sighed as he placed both mugs on an old table his parents had given him for some reason. He placed coasters under the hot drinks as he peered down at William who chuckled and showed off his signature goofy grin. Zola grumbled as he held out his hands to help the boy up from his position.
“Owwww. That hurt.” William whined as he turned to face his roommate. Zola rolled his eyes as he flicked the boy's forehead.
“Maybe if you didn’t purposely put yourself in those positions you wouldn’t be so messed up to begin with.” Zola argued as he handed a dizzy William his coffee. He took a sip and stared down at his cup.
“You put mint in this?” He asked as he took another sip. “How festive.” He added with a slight smile. Suddenly a small round “creature” rolled into the room. Its light teal colored body resembled that of clear blue waters but atop its head sat small electronic antennae. It made small noises that registered as happy sounds in Williams' head.
“Goop! C’mere buddy. I have a task for you.” The small creature came at his master's request and was patted on its head as a reward for following its code.
“In my room there is a small red box and a mostly green card. It should be on my side table but if it’s not, check the closet. If you can’t reach it I’m sure Rocket will help you.” He said as he dismissed the small slime robot.
“I still am unsure how that thing listens. It’s not sentient yet it is controlled by you. It trusts you.” Zola whispered as he sipped from his mug. All William did was chuckle as he took the goggles off from the top of his head and fluffed out his hair.
“Silly Zola, It does trust me. You seem to be as clueless as all of your other rich buddies but since I am your gracious and wonderful boyfriend I will let you in on my secret.” William smiled, his goofy grin made Zola blush in the process as he watched from over the rim of his mug.
“There’s a type of tech I use, I forget the technical term for it but most mechanics and robotic engineers just call it LifeTech. It's programming installed into the hard drive of a machine, or in this case a robot, and it basically gives the robot emotions. Not real ones obviously, but it does give the robot a base to go off of. It builds relationships and trust. And whoever installed that programming is obviously the one it trusts most.” He spoke, taking a long dramatic sip from his coffee.
“Surely you and your rich brain understood what I said, right? If not, I'm not repeating it.” He said as Zola rolled his eyes again at the boy.
“Of course I understood it, I’m not stupid. It’s just curious.” Zola said as he finished, taking his and Williams cup back to the sink.
“So, why did you have to send you bot to fetch something you could have gotten?” Zola asked, his eyes scanning the room, hearing the soft buzz of the robot in Williams' room.
“Zola I'm simply so enamored by you, that to leave your side would hurt me too much.” He said with a sly smirk. The older came by and smacked the back of his head as a heavy blush rested on his face. William laughed as he tugged on the boy's wrist, pulling him into his lap. And all Zola could do was huff as William planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
As the night settled outside their apartment Zola could see the stars start to speckle the night sky, some even raced past them leaving streaks in the atmosphere. He could even see some clouds in the distance. Maybe they’d get snow early this year. He could see colorful holiday lights outside the large window of their apartment, he could even see the massive tree in town square. Everything was lit up and it just seemed to be so much more comfortable this time of year.
And even though he acted like he hated the affection William gave him, he actually adored it. Having an extremely rich and powerful family means he was not likely to see them often. He grew up playing with the maids and butlers but he never once was shown actual and genuine affection.
He felt William pull him closer, his hands hugging his waist and head resting on his shoulder. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach as he leaned into the touch, his head now leaning against Williams. His eyes closed for a brief moment before the robot came back in, a small box and a green card were placed atop its head as it peered at Zola and Williams' comfortable position. Zola blushed heavily despite it just being a small innocent bot, he couldn’t help but feel like it was judging him.
The bot came around the chair and allowed William to access the gift without getting up or disturbing Zola. He grabbed the box and the card and handed it to the boy in his lap.
“That took a while.” William chuckled under his breath. The slime bot beeped in protest as jumped onto the armrest. William patted the thing on its head and allowed Zola to open his gift.
“I swear if it’s some weird freaky science thing, I'm returning it and returning you back from whichever odd factory you were made in.” Zola grumbled but all William did was smile.
Zola had opened the card first, gently tearing through the green striped envelope and peeling off the wax seal. It was pressed with a sigil Zola didn’t recognize but he had assumed it was Williams family crest. He took the card out and opened it, reading the cheesy pickup line before reading what William had actually written. A blush built up on his face before he shoved it back into the envelope. He rested it on his thigh as he went to open the small red velvet box.
“It’s only a small amount of freaky science, promise! There’s a button on the bottom of the box, press it.” William snickered as Zola glared at him.
“I promise it’s good! You’ll love it!” William promised. He crossed his fingers and rested them over the place of his heart and all Zola could do was scoff at his odd roommate and lover.
He found the button on the bottom of the box and pressed it, and before his eyes he had watched the box shift into some odd little contraption. It looked like a deactivated bot, it was slumped over and its screen was blank and black.
Zola had taken the small velvet creature and found a button on the back of his head, pressing it. Two small antennas sprouted from its head and blue eyes appeared on the screen. Its small body bent upwards, eyes blinking as it stared at Zola. He felt unsettled by it but it was awfully small.
“Zola Regan Maura Rosalie Vessard” Zola jumped back and wrapped his arms around William's neck.
“What the hell William?!” Zola whispered in fear of the small creature. William rolled his eyes as he suddenly started speaking to the bot.
“Change nickname to Zola.”
“Now changing Zola Regan Maura Rosalie Vessard to… Zola. Is that correct?”
“Yes.”
“Nickname changed successfully.”
“Move ownership to Zola.”
“Warning: Changing ownership means you will be unable to give commands until the owner has specified permission. Continue?”
“Yes.”
“Ownership changing from William Remond to Zola…
Transfer complete.”
The small bot looked over to Zola, waiting for a command.
“What did you do?!” Zola whispered. His hands are still tightly wound around Williams neck.
“It’s a bot obviously. It’s basically like an assistant. Tell it to do something.” He spoke. “It won’t listen to me until you tell it to, you’re the owner of this bot. It trusts you.” William added.
“Well, it needs a name doesn’t it?” Zola replied as it stared at the velvet bot.
“Change bot name.” Zola commanded. The bot peered at him and spoke.
“What would you like to change bot name to?”
“Vessie.”
“Changing bot name to Vessie…
Change complete. I am now commanded by Vessie.”
“My bot names are better.” William muttered under his breath but Zola just ignored him as he picked up the small bot in his hands. It was heavy, but it was cute and small.
“Can it turn on the Holiday light?” Zola asked but suddenly the tree and the lights outside turned on. Zola looked at the adorably small bot like it had just summoned a god.
“As I said, it’s an assistant. You can have it do whatever you wish just so long as it’s in the program I’m running. If you want anything added onto it you can just ask me.” William smiled. This is the first time in a while Zola had seen William so calm. Normally he’d be walking around explaining everything, maybe even showing Zola what kind of things the bot could do, but he wasn’t.
Zola observed the bot, looking at its appearance. It was small, very small compared to other bots. It could fit in his hands like a toy doll. It had a black metal casing but most of it was covered by soft velvet cloth, Zolas favorite. It had electric blue eyes that blinked blankly because it hadn’t had time to make any connections and its processor gave off a small comforting buzz sound, like a fan.
“Do you like it?” William asks, his hands tightening around Zolas waist. He could feel tremors in his fingertips, he could tell William was nervous. Suddenly all of his pent up energy came out in the form of rambling and anxiety.
“If you don't, that's perfectly fine, I mean it didn’t take long to make so I’m sure I could find something else to give you. Your family probably doesn’t even want you to have a bot, you know what, you're right I’ll just-“ Zola stopped him by pulling the bot away.
“No, it’s mine now. You gave it to me so I’m keeping it. Back off.” Zola said defensively as he held the bot close to his chest. William stared only for a moment before he smiled widely, putting his goggles back on.
“So you do like it?” William smiled as he tightly hugged Zola, nearly suffocating him as he chuckled at his childish lover.
Once the two settled, Zola couldn’t help but admire his foolish roommate. He was an idiot but Zola loved him anyway. He knows William isn’t the biggest fan of kisses but he honestly couldn’t care at that moment. He softly kissed Williams lips, his hands resting on his neck. The two kissed only for a moment but it was still deeply special.
They looked at each other with awkward smiles but there was no tension.
“Happy holidays you idiot.” Zola says getting up from Williams lap. “I have some work to get done. . .” He stopped for a moment. “Thank you for the gift, it will not be wasted.” He smiled before he left to get some government work done.
William sat there stunned for a moment, suddenly he started giggling and squealing and kicking his feet like a little school girl. Zola had kissed him and said he’d use his gift. Nothing could make William happier…
PART 2
Maybe friends will be introduced idk it’ll just come as it does.
… Later that night while Zola was in bed, he had gotten an alert for a late night snow storm. These weren’t uncommon in the layer of water, but it was a bit early. He rolled off of his bed lazily to look out the large window in the main room of their large apartment. He kept his phone turned on, keeping track of the weather as it relented outside the warm walls of his home.
He listened to a news broadcaster as he started dripping the water to keep pipes from freezing. He hated having to worry like this. When he lived with his parents he never had to worry about these things.
He sat down on the large sofa and sighed as he waited for William to inevitably appear as the power started to flicker.
“Damn blizzards…” Zola muttered, irritated.
He heard crashing down below him, inside Williams cellar and suddenly the power went out. Zola groaned as he threw his head back against the sofa, this is a normal occurrence but it’s extremely annoying to lose both power and Wi-Fi.
He heard footsteps coming from the cellar door and suddenly Williams' head popped out. Even though Zola had a hard time seeing him, the light from his phone illuminated some of his sharper features but mostly it was his fluffy light lightbrown hair.
Behind him came his bots, Goop and Rocket. Apparently they ran on their own power source so they were capable of staying on even with the shortage of power.
“The power went out.” William said as he sat down next to Zola, making the sofa dip under his weight.
“No shit.” Zola said as he continued to eye the weather forecast. “There’s a snowstorm going on outside so don’t be surprised if we’re without power for a while.”
William whined, forcing himself to admit that he wouldn’t be able to work for a while. Even though he was slightly glad he could catch his breath he still loved working on his bots.
“Stop whining Will. You’ve hardly seen what the world looks like in weeks. You could use the break.” Zola explained as he rose from the sofa.
“Now come on, we have to go turn on the generator and it’s probably old and rusty. I'm not doing that by myself.” Zola huffed as he started walking, William just behind him.
Goop and Rocket follow after them both, watching as they observe their behavior.
“Are you sure we reallyyyyy need the generator. I mean we’re perfectly fine right now.” William said, causing Zola to stop in his tracks. He abruptly turned around to glare at Williams' stupidly cute yet oblivious face.
“Unless you want to freeze in the middle of the night, then no, we don’t need the generator.” He told the boy, looking down on him despite his lacking height. “Have you never been in a snowstorm before?”
“Nope! How could you tell?”
