i feel conflicted w the like, rash of screenshots of like bad booktok reviews going around. bc on one hand i generally agree nothing in those makes me want to touch those books with a ten foot pole. but on the other hand. i think its kind of disingenuous to act like 'people are buying and reading badly written erotica' isn't a market trend that's been around since the literal invention of the printing press
