Top 5 Least Even A3! Play Songs (In terms of line distribution)
A sequel to this post, this time with play songs and Masumi’s revenge
Feel like I should add a disclaimer that says that this distribution doesn’t make the songs bad by any means--it makes sense for leads to sing more, and most of these are some of my favorites in the series.  It’s just fun to look at these statistics!
Did you know there are 5 songs where the lead doesn’t sing the most?  Unfortunately none of them made the cut here.
Speaking of cuts, under the cut again for length purposes
5. Plastic Poker
Tumblr media
Hisoka: 55.2 seconds Azuma: 38.3 seconds
This one is a classic case of Hisoka sings half a section and then Azuma TRIES to sing the second half but Hisoka decides he’s going to sing with him for part of it so those lines don’t count towards Azu’s total.  Some of these ones you don’t notice that the other person has so much more, and I think this is one of them
4 (Tie). Muddy Hero
Tumblr media
Juza: 38.8 seconds Omi: 23.8 seconds
Juza gets an intro and he hogs the bridge, but the actual PART distribution (as opposed to time) isn’t too bad, so I put it before the one it’s tied for.
4 (Tie). Road to Manjuu Master!
Tumblr media
Taichi: 35.2 seconds Azami: 21.8 seconds
Taichi gets to sing 2/3 of every part and then Azami gets to go “ashita wa mooottooo.”  Also like, a HUGE amount of Azami’s lines are dialogue, if you cut out the dialogue this would be worse.
3. The Prince in Full Bloom ~The Floral Prince and His Retainer~
Tumblr media
Muku: 69.5 seconds Kumon: 40.4 seconds
Muku’s lines are all just longer than Kumon’s, that’s kind of it.  Another one where a LOT of Kumon’s lines are dialogue, too.  Muku deserves this but Kumon does not.
2 (Tie). Dokkoudou
Tumblr media
Tasuku: 66.5 seconds Guy: 34.5 seconds
Fun fact, Tasuku holds his last note for 5 seconds.  Considering he sings the entire end of the song basically by himself, this one wasn’t surprising at all lol, but I WAS surprised it was just as bad as the next one.
2 (Tie). Wonderland A Go Go!
Tumblr media
Masumi: 49.4 seconds Itaru: 26 seconds
Masumi took one look at Spring Has Come and said “hmm, I think I will take an entire intro verse, and then also half of Itaru’s chorus parts.  Give me two thirds of the song please.” and they said “yeah sure that sounds fair.”
1. Suisei to Circus Ou
Tumblr media
Homare: 62.8 seconds Kazunari: 30.4 seconds
Me: Ok now we’re on Suisei, I wonder how this one will be, the choruses bounce around so-- Me: Me: Homare sings the entire bridge

i ranked the best a3! songs
if you’ve never listened to the a3 music you are missing out my friends.
i linked the titles to youtube but here’s a link to all the songs on spotify.
1. Kiteretsu Poemer - Homare  Arisugawa
this song is an absolute BANGER and i listen to it probably six hundred times a day. it starts with a gong so you know its gonna be dramatic af. literally everything about this song is perfect trust me just listen to it. if i had to label it i would say its an extremely upbeat folk ballad?? i swear the first time i heard the bridge i transcended.
2. Scarlet Game - Mikage Hisoka & Chikage Utsuki
I believe this song is from an event since its got Hisoka and Chikage (who we english speakers havent met yet rip) but holy moly??? they are singing as Holmes and Moriarty so if you like mystery and a SLAPPIN chorus this is the song for you
3. Growing Pain - Itaru Chigasaki & Banri Settsu
this is another event song and hoooooooooo boy it gets me GOIN. i mean banri and itaru together?? sign me right up thank you. also itaru is out here in every one of his songs just absolutely killing it ?? go off king
4. Gamer’s High - Itaru Chigasaki
i may be biased because itaru is my best boy and this was the first a3 song i ever heard but ??? this song slaps regardless. its literally just about how much he loves gaming?? plus at the end he says “otsu!” (good job) and its really cute uwu
 5. Ichiya Kagiri no Aibou -  Banri Settsu & Juza Hyodo
this is the song for the autumn troupe’s debut show and it literally translates to “One Night Buddies” so already got points for that. idk what it is about this song its just so fun and has a cool upbeat jazz feel to it
6. Es No Yuutsu - Homare Arisugawa & Hisoka Mikage
homare and hisoka back at it again with the best music?? this one is more low key but it still gets me uGh. idk how they managed to capture mystery in the sound of a song so well but here we are. also homare’s voice is perfection i love it so much hes so emotive
honorable mentions (aka i love these but didnt wanna write a desciption lolol):
Sick Sick Sick -  Masumi  Usui
Super Ultra Easy Mode - Banri Settsu
Konton Oorai! -  Kazunari Miyoshi & Misumi Ikaruga
Wonderland A Go Go! - Masumi Usui & Itaru Chigasaki
Road to Manjuu Master! - Taichi Nanao & Azami Izumida
Suisei to Circus O - Homare Arisugawa & Kazunari Miyoshi

So that I can catch it now with my hands Yī èr sān sì wǔ liù qī* We join forces and yīqǐ jiāyóu* We'll take back your heart Clap your hands, come, you too - Hello, nǐhǎo Fight even against a much stronger opponent Now, master the Tai Chi Manju Chuan Ha!

There are times when you feel a little down Yī èr sān sì wǔ liù qī Friends are strength, yīqǐ jiāyóu Take back that scroll Clap your hands, come, you too - Thank you, xièxie Don't fear a much stronger opponent First, master the Tai Chi Lamen Chuan Ha!

Overcoming a big hurdle It may be impossible by yourself, but if we're together...
So that I can catch it now with my hands Yī èr sān sì wǔ liù qī We join forces and yīqǐ jiāyóu We'll take back your heart Clap your hands, come, you too - Hello, nǐhǎo Fight even against a much stronger opponent Now, the usual Tai Chi Manju Chuan Now, master the Tai Chi Manju Chuan Ha!
"Sichuan! Beijing! Guangdong! Shandong! Fujian! Shanghai! Pork fillet ramen (YA!)"
"Sichuan! Beijing! Guangdong! Shandong! Fujian! Shanghai! Tai Chi Chuan! Ha!"
Notes: * “Yī èr sān sì wǔ liù qī” simply means “one, two, three, four, five, six, seven” in Mandarin; * “Yīqǐ jiāyóu” means “doing our best together”; * “Tài bàng (le)” means “great!” or “awesome!”, things like that. Mandarin written in katakana is a disaster lol It took me a long time to realize they were just saying numbers in the chorus... oh well.
