1 de Febrero de 1995. Hoy se cumplen 23 años de la desaparición de #RicheyJamesEdwards. Letrista y guitarra rítmico de los #ManicStreetPreachers Hoy tendría 50 años. Fue declarado muerto, a efectos legales, finalmente en 2008, habiendo sido pospuesto por la familia años antes. Aquel día, James Dean Bradfield (guitarra y voz) y él debían haber volado a EE.UU. para un tour promocional. Richey salió del Hotel Embassy de Londres a las 7 a.m. condujo hasta su apartamento en Cardiff, allí se hallaron su pasaporte, su tarjeta de crédito y su prozac. En la habitación del hotel dejó su maleta, su neceser, una misteriosa caja con recortes y un 'te quiero'. Supuestamente, había retirado 200£ diarias las dos semanas antes a desaparecer; la noche anterior a su desaparición, Richey le regaló a una amiga el libro Novela con cocaína, obra que se atribuyó al escritor ruso Mark Agueyev, y le pidió que leyese la introducción (en la que se describe al propio autor en un hospital psiquiátrico poco antes de esfumarse). En las dos semanas siguientes fue aparentemente visto en la oficina de pasaportes. El 14 de Febrero su coche, un Vauxhaull Cavalier, recibió una multa en la estación de servicio Severn View, junto al puente del río Severn, que une Gales e Inglaterra. Se halló el coche con la batería descargada, fotos familiares y el cd de Nirvana, In Utero. Ha sido visto supuestamente en Goa, India; Fuerteventura y Lanzarote. Sólo él sabe si fue victima del club de los 27 o si precisamente trazó el plan perfecto para escapar de ello. Es resto es silencio.
