All those studying German can profit from this list of relative pronouns. At the moment, I use German relative pronouns in an awkward fashion, avoiding those of the Dative or Genitive case. I cannot say that I am sure of when to use them correctly, so this is something I can study in future.

Lequel + Lesquels  |   [Relative pronoun]
> Lequel (meaning which) Is used after a preposition such as à, de or pour to talk about things. It has to agree with the noun it replaces.
1. FORMS
Masculine [Singular] : Lequel Masculine [Plural] : Lesquels
Feminine [singular] : Laquelle Feminine [Plural] : Lesquelles
Le livre pour lequel elle est connue. The book [for which] she is famous for.
La table sur laquelle j'ai mis mon sac. The table [on which] I put my bag on.
2. [With] ARTICLES
Remember that à and de combine with the definite article le to become au and du, and with les to become aux and des. lequel/lesquels/lesquelles combine with à and de as shown in the table below. laquelle doesn't change.
With à: [to which]
à+lequel :- auquel à+laquelle :-  à laquelle à+lesquels :-  auxquels à+lesquelles :-  auxquelles
With de: [of which]
de+lequel :-  duquel de+laquelle :-  de laquelle de+lesquels :-  desquels de+lesquelles :-  desquelles
3. KEYPOINTS
1. dont means whose, of whom, of which, about which and so on. lt can refer to people or things, but its form NEVER changes.
2. qui and que can both refer to people or things: qui is the subject of the part of the sentence it is found in; que is the object.
3. After a preposition you use qui if you are referring to people, and lequel if you are referring to things - lequel agrees with the noun it replaces.

Relative Pronouns
Relative pronouns refer back to the noun used previously in the sentence. It describes/qualifies a noun. Here is an example sentence:
Latin: ancilla, quam dominus vocabat, villam intravit
English: The slave girl, whom the master was calling, entered the house.
Now, this sentence at first was challenging for me because I wasn’t sure how the relative pronoun “quam” got it’s case, gender, and number. However, I soon learned that each of these sentences has an antecedent and a relative clause. The antecedent goes before the relative clause. It is also what the relative pronouns gets it’s gender and number from. In the example sentence, “ancilla” would be the antecedent. “Ancilla” is feminine singular making “quam” feminine singular. The case that the relative pronoun is comes from the way it is used in the relative clause-“quam dominus vocabat”. Therefore, “quam” would be accusative. Also, a helpful technique I use to help me know what case and English translation the relative pronoun receives is by memorizing this chart:

Learning and memorizing this chart made translating sentences, like the example on top, so much easier. I plan to use this chart for any future sentences that may include relative pronouns. I am going to continue to practice and understand how the relative pronoun gets its gender, number, and case from by translating sentences, and identifying the antecedent and relative clause.
