There's just so much to explore, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. #one thing i really wanted to do is show how like #all the stuff that happens on the Grand Scale TM with the Avengers #and even to a certain extent the things Matt does that affects the city at large #kinda snowball into all these things on street level #on top of those decisions tipping dominoes elsewhere #like White Coat's connection to Stryker #it's something i always liked about DD (and the other defenders) being a balance to the Big Guys #i like seeing all this stuff at street level where to a certain extent they're all down in the muck #DD did a lovely job of building that world and fleshing that out #and so it felt natural to do the same thing and take that *further* in TRT #we flesh the Kitchen out even more #here are the people who trust DD and the little churches dealing with rising tensions over enhanced people #here are the scrappy little runaways that don't trust SHIELD after DC and the little criminal fishes who just want to avoid Fisk #here's a SHIELD agent too low on the totem pole to be one of Coulson's and here's Jane whose best defense is literally running away #I LOVE being able to run all this alongside canon #ANYWAY #thank you so much for dropping this in my box #it made me so so happy! #the red thread

thinking about totem culture again but specifically for the red banquet. My absolute favorite piece of foolish/dsmp lore is that a totem child will die for their parents/family if needed. how Foolish has stated that if need be his children would be happy to die for him. And it just makes me think about his death and the red banquet because he didn't have to die but he choose to give himself up like a proper totem.

like he died so that his father and friend wouldn't have to, a honorable death for a totem. Only to find out that he didnt need to die at all. quackity and the gang could have helped at any time and how he didn't need to die. making his death meaningless.

one of foolish's best acting moments was him saying that he died to a sales pitch. How finding that out must have hurt so much because to him, his death bought the rest time to escape and survive. to have the moment he fulfilled his totem duty made pointless must have killed him.

I have a lot of thoughts on totem culture and its so much fun to just headcannon how it plays a part in his deaths.

is the reason he dosent want to die again because it could be just as meaningless? how much more this could give to his feeling on quackity especially with the dream lore today

#the d20 ones have the most changes #not including my potential ravening war oc #but cinna went from being a paladin/warlock to being a fighter/warlock #hazel's now a druid/barbarian instead of just a barbarian #pearl is now charisma based instead of intelligence based #argent is a druid/fighter instead of ranger/druid #i also was thinking of basically giving her the same classes as ylfa - making her a barb/druid but beast barb instead of totem barb #and removing rose red's ability to heal in favor of making her codependency to her sister INCREDIBLY literal #caps tw #also i picked rune knight for argent bc a giant fuck you bear is the scariest thing i can think of lol #like the reason i didnt give her any barb levels is bc a giant fuck you bear with boosted hp from being a shifter #and advantage on strength checks from being large and raging (idk if they both cancel each other out) #would make brennan immediately kill argent and then argent's player irl :') #oh and rose's form of dread takes the form of turning her body into glass with shards popping out of her skin #and a lot of apple motifs bc of her sister snow white

Finally cleared Endsinger EX with my FC's static :D Notable highlights of our attempts include:

When all the gear of one of our DPS broke so he dropped to around 5k health mid-fight and we all wondered why he kept dying to nothing until one of the healers noticed his health and checked him out

The time one of our members forgot to change their glam before we went in, and so they did that run in a very skimpy look

When everyone but me (a DRG) died, and so I valiantly made a final stand to the cheers of my teammates before dying within seconds

The numerous times we hit enrage and all decided to jump off the platform rather than just die to the purple planet (several of us made jokes about dying on our own terms)

That time we hit enrage at 35% (we all died so. many. times. during that run)
