note: literally wrote this within two to three hours so it might not be that great, so bare with me. hope you guys liked it & let me know if i should do something similar to this with lo’ak <3
It was stupid really.
When you think back on it, it was definitely stupid to agree to tag along with Lo’ak and the rest to wherever the hell they were planning on going. But you could not say no to Tuk when she asked you to come with them. She was your weakness and used it to her advantage.
You’d been silently weaving a new armband for your boyfriend, Neteyam, when his youngest sister had approached you, hands interlocked behind her back and the all too familiar ‘innocent’ look plastered on her face. You knew that whatever she was thinking of saying or asking you would end up in you ultimately agreeing to it, most likely getting you in trouble with your lover.
“Join me and Kiri to the mountains with Lo’ak. Pretty please?” She had asked, pouting and widening her amber eyes up at you as she gently swayed from side to side.
You gave in immediately.
It was sad how fast the youngest Sully got you to cave in so quickly. You had restraint with the others, even Neteyam, but had none whatsoever when it came to Tuktirey. You had such a soft spot for her and Tuk took advantage of it every time.
Should’ve never said yes, you grumble to yourself inside your head, head shaking to yourself as you struggled against the restraints the RDA soldiers had put you in upon catching you all when you attempted to leave the scene you weren’t supposed to be at.
Jake instilled it into you guys so many times to never get close to the abandoned shack. You needed asked why. It was something that Jake wasn’t going to argue about and made it very clear after his youngest son tried to pry the answer out of him the first time he mentioned it. Should’ve listened to Jake.
Everything went by so fast, you had barely had time to process what was going on before you were shackled in handcuffs and essentially held prisoner by RDA Avatars.
“Who is she?” A deep voice asked, pulling you out of your seething thoughts.
Quaritch had a good estimate on who was who in the little rag tag group he caught. The five fingered teens one-hundred-percent belonged to Jake Sully while the human boy was a result of the Corporals past. So, that left you and Tuk. He would give it a fifty-fifty chance that the both of you were also Jake’s kids. Man, he and the Missus sure was busy, he thinks to himself, smirking at the thought.
By the only Na’vi boys reaction, Quaritch could tell that you were something else to the kid. A girlfriend perhaps?, he thinks, best friend?.
Lo’ak knew he was fucked the minute Tuk managed to convince you to join in on their little ‘adventure’. Neteyam continuously told him to look out for you whenever he left to go hunt or do whatever their parents told him to do, threatening bodily harm and death if he didn’t obey. He had a bad feeling about the whole thing but regardless of it, still continued on with his plan. Neteyam was so going to kill him.
“Our sister,” Lo’ak muttered, the soldier behind him still had a tight grip on his queue, tightening it before he answered.
Everyone on the scene could tell that Lo’ak was lying. It was evident. The boy's ears were pinned back, mostly in pain, and his tail fell limp beside him as it gently curled in on itself.
Bingo, Quaritch thought to himself, more leverage.
“Hmm, I think you’re lying, boy,” the Corporal starts, inching closer to Lo’ak, “And do you know what I do to liars?” he asked.
You gulped at the man’s words. You could only assume his following answer would entail torture or death. You all were totally fucked either way.
Lo’ak refused to answer the man’s question, making Quaritch smirk even more.
“I punish them,” he answered, a sick and disturbing glint in his eyes as he stared down Jake Sully’s second son.
Anxiety spiked in all of our systems, making you struggle further in the soldier's grasp.
“Don’t hurt him,” you and Kiri pleaded, the soldiers behind you yanking back on your braided queue, making you cry out in pain.
Quaritch tsked at your response, turning towards you as he stalked towards your figure. “I’m not going to hurt him, sweetheart. Just you,” he finalized, pulling out a knife that was sheathed in its carrier on his hip.
You and everyone else began to protest at his words.
“(Y/N)! No!” Lo’ak cried out, trying to inch closer towards you to protect you but was pulled back by a soldier, hissing out in pain and frustration.
Tuk began to cry as she saw the knife inch towards your face before it dipped down to your neck.
“You fucking asshole!” Spider yelled out, struggling in the grips of the two Avatar soldiers holding him, surprisingly making them struggle to keep him in their grasps in return.
Kiri could only close her eyes in response, not wanting to see you get hurt in front of her.
You stopped at the contact the cold knife made with your warm skin, the temperature of it making you lightly flinch back at it. Your heartbeat rose increasingly within the confines of your chest, hammering against the bone. Holy shit, you thought, this is how I’m going to die.
As you looked around and saw your friends' reactions, you accepted your fate. You accepted that you were going to be murdered in front of them. You could only hope that your death would help the Sullys and Spider escape from the soldiers and Quaritch safely and unharmed. You also hoped that it was going to be a quick death. You didn’t want them to see you suffer.
It’s okay, be calm. Don’t fight back, it’ll only make it worse. Mawey. Eywa, please ensure the safe return of the Sully’s and Spider. And make sure that Neteyam finds only happiness after this, you prayed.
Quaritch had taken your queue from the soldiers grasp behind you, granting you momentary relief from the tight hold only to be replaced with an even harsher grip. You hissed out at the returning pain.
“Now, listen here boy,” he starts, pointing the clean knife at Lo’ak, making him look at him, “I want ‘ya to contact your Father and tell him that if he isn’t here after the sun sets, girly over here,” he gestures to you with the knife in hand, “Is going to be gutted and strung up on the tree line as a little surprise for your Daddy. Am I clear?”.
His words makes Tuk cry even harder, making the soldier behind her give up on her hold on the girls queue and instead hold her up by her arms.
Lo’ak reluctantly nodded at his words, swallowing down the gathering spit in his mouth. His eyes jumped from Spider to Quaritch to you, then to Kiri and Tuk. He was dreading the moment his parents and Neteyam arrived, knowing that regardless of how much they cooperate, Quaritch is going to do whatever he wants to even if that includes staying true to his words of harming you.
———
The three were close to nearing the old abandoned shack when Lo’ak called in again, the line going static for a second before he spoke up.
“Quaritch is giving you until after sunset to arrive,” he shakingly starts, anxiety clearly evident in his tone as he speaks, “Or…or he’ll gut (Y/N) and string her up as a welcome gift for you.”.
Neteyam nearly crashes into a tree when he hears his brother's words.
Quaritch was threatening the life of you, his mate, in hopes of riling up Jake. Well, it was working, except it was Neteyam who was riled up and not his Father.
All the boy could see was red as the three of them silently continued their flight towards your destination after Jake told Lo’ak that they were on their way and that the message was clearly received.
Rage boiled up inside of Neteyam’s body, causing him to slightly shake from the emotion atop his ikran. He was going to kill every single one of the soldiers there once he arrived. He’d do anything to get you back. Anything.
———
Everything ached.
From your queue, to your scalp, to your neck, and to the fresh new wound Quaritch left after he decided Lo’ak was taking too long to relay his message to his Father. He had sliced your thigh and stabbed the wound in response, jamming it into the flesh/plush of your thigh. You cried out to the brutal attack, growling out in pain as a handful of tears fell down your cheeks. Quaritch only smirked at your reaction, throwing you down onto the ground as the rest of the soldiers followed suit in discarding their prisoners, herding them into a circle.
Kiri helped you up, allowing you to lean into her. She quickly assessed your wound and deemed that you were going to be fine, as long as no one pulled the knife out from your leg.
Lo’ak held your head in the palms of his hands as he looked for any other slices Quaritch managed to make before stabbing you. He didn’t find any and sighed out in relief from that.
Spider had gathered Tuk in his arms and tried to silence her crying before any of the soldiers got inspiration from Quaritch and decided to punish the child for crying.
“Fucking son of a bitch,” you whispered between grinded teeth after the attack, trying your best to not yank out the foreign object in your thigh. You began to think that maybe you will end up dying out here after all, amongst the beautiful greenery of Pandora. Albeit it not being the way you wanted to go out, it still wouldn’t be the most gruesomest death you imagined happening. You just wished that you were able to kiss Neteyam goodbye one last time.
———
Furious wouldn’t even begin to describe the type of emotion he was feeling at the moment. There probably was no word equivalent to the emotion he currently felt.
Neteyam had ended up disobeying his Fathers orders of him staying with the ikrans, saying that he was ‘too emotionally invested’ and that his anger was too risky for what he was about to face. He thought it was utter bullshit that he wasn’t allowed to aid his parents in rescuing his siblings and his lover from Quaritch. If anything, it gave him more of a reason to focus and get everyone out of there safely.
He had managed to take down two Avatar soldiers in his search for you. He decided that they weren’t worthy of wasting his arrows on, slicing and stabbing them until their throats were practically open wide in exposure or had any time to process the pain. He’d been quick and brutal in his attacks. The more bodies he left behind, the more closer he was to having you in his arms.
His Mother had already released her arrow by the time he arrived on the scene, causing the other soldiers to shoot out into the trees and pull you all up in response. He was forced to hid behind a tree, eyes desperately searching for your familiar figure amongst the Avatar bodies and his siblings.
Neteyam’s eyes finally found your body, still in a soldiers grasp as they tried to pull you away towards where the others were gathering.
His gaze narrowed at the soldiers tight grip on you, robotically notching an arrow and drawing his bowstring back, almost immediately letting it go just as quick as his initial drawing of the arrow.
The arrow lodged itself in between the eyes of the soldier, it’s body slumping backwards as it’s grip loosened on your body, allowing you to follow its descent to the ground.
You groaned out in pain when your body made contact with the forest floor. You were too tired to move out of the way once you realized the soldier that had you in its arms had died, accepting your fall to the floor as gracefully as you could. The knife was still in your thigh, shooting electric hot pain up your leg upon being disturbed from the short fall.
You felt another pair of hands grab you and roughly pull you upwards, you screaming and kicking in retaliation. But just as quickly as their arms grabbed you, they let you go, a loud grunt and hiss following as their body was thrown to the side.
Neteyam had quickly made his way to you once he spotted another Avatar pull you up. He had unsheathed his knife and jumped on the soldier, causing the two of them to roll around on the floor before Neteyam brutally and repeatedly drove his weapon into the Avatar’s body, not stopping until he was certain that he caused enough damage to the fake Na’vi.
Stay away from her, he thought after every stab he inflicted, it’s not her time.
You had looked up when Neteyam delivered the final blow, slitting the insignificant soldier's throat.
You had never seen your mate this angry. Sure there were times where he lashed out at you after an argument or got so angry he hissed and growled at his brother for his ridiculous antics. But never, never have you ever seen him so vengeful. You didn’t even know if vengeful was the right word to describe how Neteyam looked like at the moment. But nothing else came to mind.
“Yawne,” you whispered out, desperate to catch your boyfriend's attention, wanting to get out of the line of fire as quickly as possible.
The teen whipped his head towards you, eyes dilated to the point where they looked like slits in his pupils. His chest was heaving up and down heavily, lungs taking big gulps of air as he did so. A few braids fell in front of his face, masking some of it as he looked at you.
His whole expression softened once he laid eyes on you. He could tell that you wanted to get as far away from the scene as you quickly could, that sad and traumatic look in your eyes at you pleaded with him.
Neteyam quickly shook out of his stupor and gathered you in his arms, being weary of the knife in your leg that he just noticed. Another thing that made him want to kill Quaritch himself.
“It’s okay, I got you yawntutsyip,” he whispered back, dodging all of the flying bullets and arrows he could as he weaved into the heavy forest foliage. His grip on you never faltered as he jumped over logs and ducked under stray branches to get you to safety. His whole body was on autopilot as he ran around, solely focused on getting you out of there alive.
Once Neteyam had decided he was far out enough to not be chased or caught by any more Avatar soldiers, he gently laid you down onto the soft grass, eyes quickly assessing your figure for any other injuries he should be aware about. He let out a sigh of relief when he came to the conclusion that you had no other wounds that needed tending to, softly bringing you into his arms for a warm embrace.
You immediately broke down into the hug, burrowing your face into the crook of Neteyam’s neck and wrapping your arms around his back to bring him in closer. Your sobs were a telltale sign of how distraught you were from the events that just occurred, brain still racing to process it all.
Neteyam softly shushed you as he put one hand on the back of your head and the other on the lower portion of your back, softly rubbing the skin in attempts to comfort you.
“You’re safe now, my love,” he whispered, kissing your hair, “I got you. You’re safe.”.
You relaxed into your lovers arms as he comforted you, feeling safe in his hold.
Neteyam had never gotten that blood thirsty before and that frightened him a little. If he acted like this when you were in trouble, can you imagine how’d he act if you actually died as a result of tonight’s events? He didn’t know the answer to that. All he knew was that you’re his and he’d do anything to ensure that it is not your time yet.

...hmm...just thinkin' about an Avatar "no angst" AU, y'know, like an AU where the characters who died in the first movie just...didn't? For example...
• Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are both alive and well. They officially tied the knot not long after the point when Sylwanin would've died in canon, and already have a child together by the time Jake arrives on Pandora.
• Eytukan also lives and therefore he and Mo'at are still leading the clan, though of course Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are next in line.
• Because the schoolhouse incident never happened in this AU, Grace was never kicked out of the village; her school is still running and she is on good terms with the Omatikaya.
• The RDA is overall less psychotic than they are in canon, and the Avatar Program has been largely successful in establishing diplomacy with the local clans. There is still some level of tension between the humans and the Na'vi of course, because the humans are ultimately still there to mine unobtainium and the Na'vi would prefer there was no mining at all, but in this AU the RDA is at least principled enough to not do things like bulldoze the Tree of Voices or bomb Hometree etc. (so, Hometree is still standing). Jake was never asked to spy on the Na'vi.
• Grace is actually the one to introduce Jake to Neytiri when she brings Jake and Norm along to the school one day. Neytiri is intrigued by the goofy non-scientist "warrior" dreamwalker and Jake finds himself equally intrigued by her; they begin spending more and more time together, and when Jake expresses curiosity about her way of life Neytiri just naturally kinda takes it upon herself to teach him the ways of the clan.
• Because Neytiri is neither tsakarem nor engaged to Tsu'tey in this AU, her romance with Jake is not quite as ~forbidden~ as it was in canon (and honestly they make zero effort to hide their feelings; the whole clan knows lol). The only remaining barrier is the fact that he's a dreamwalker and how that may affect things.
• Jake and Neytiri fall head over heels for each other about as fast as they do in canon; after three months Jake is already fully convinced that he wants remain with Neytiri and the clan for the rest of his life rather than ever go back to Earth, where there is nothing left for him. Even getting the spinal surgery to fix his legs no longer holds any interest for him, since of course his avatar body can walk just fine.
• By that point Neytiri begs Mo'at and Eytukan to let Jake do the coming-of-age ceremonies and become part of the clan so they can become mates. Mo'at and especially Eytukan are hesitant, but Mo'at consults Eywa and Eywa sends a sign of approval, so they allow it. Jake spends about an extra month preparing more specifically for Iknimaya and Uniltaron, and soon after completing those he and Neytiri actually get to have a proper mating ceremony. Jake does go through the permanent consciousness transfer at some point, though I haven't yet come up with the exact circumstances there...
• The Sully kids get to have more extended family! Grandpa Eytukan, Uncle Tsu'tey, and Aunt Sylwanin are all still around, along with a handful of cousins (Tsu'tey's and Sylwanin's kids).
• Quaritch never shot Grace in this AU, which means she never had to undergo the attempted consciousness transfer, which means Kiri wasn't conceived the way she was in canon. Buuuuuut I still want Kiri as part of the Sully family, so in this AU she is Jake and Neytiri's biological daughter and Neteyam's twin. She doesn't have the special Eywa powers that she has in canon, but does still have a spiritually-minded personality, and is a strong candidate for next tsakarem after Sylwanin. Grace still adores and dotes on her, especially when she shows interest in botany.
• Norm and Trudy are happy in a long-term relationship.
• There was no Battle at the Hallelujah Mountains, therefore Paz didn't die and was still around to raise Spider (undecided on how involved Quaritch was though).
• I like to imagine that in this AU Paz and Trudy are good friends, both being pilots and all. It's through Trudy that Paz and Spider become involved with folks from the Avatar program and Spider meets the Sully kids.
• Because she doesn't have the RDA-related traumas she has in canon, Neytiri is totally chill with Spider in this AU. She is mostly just curiously amused by the strange little human boy running around with his Na'vi friends.
• Spider is semi-trilingual English/Spanish/Na'vi. English is his go-to since everyone he knows can speak it, but he can also do some Spanish (Paz and maybe Trudy's influence) and quite a lot of Na'vi (Omatikaya influence, though Norm was thrilled to help when he caught wind that Spider was interested in learning). Sometimes he (subconsciously) mixes up a combination of any two or even all three and spews out mishmash sentences no one else understands immediately and has to stop and re-word.
• Because Quaritch is not the Big Bad Evil Guy the way he is in canon, Spider isn't really bothered by being called Miles. However, the nickname "Spider" somehow just stuck when he was very young so most people still call him that; it's mostly just Paz (and Quaritch) who call him Miles.
• Jake is not Toruk Makto in this AU, because with the RDA being more cooperative/less aggressive, he never needed to be. He and Neytiri are just normal (albeit well-liked/respected) hunters in the clan. Perhaps eventually a day will come when Toruk Makto is needed and Jake will have some reason to step up...but not yet. He's perfectly content being just a regular clan member.
• This has the side-effect of lessening Neteyam and Lo'ak's dramatic stunts as teenagers, because the legacy they're trying to live up to is simply "strong respectable hunter" rather than "legendary olo'eyktan Toruk Makto"

Can I get a Jake sully x daughter reader.
where the reader was Jake's first child who he left on earth when he went on Pandora. Years later, Jake is finally reunited with his daughter, the one thing he hand longed for, but he finds out that she works for the RDA and is alongside Quaritch. I kinda want this to be a series cause I've been looking all over for fics like this but there are barely any at all.
Gotta admit, this one was a toughie. Not that I'm complaining, I enjoy a challenge. Now I did think long and hard where this would take place. Hope fully this is is good! enjoy!
NOTE: I had to change things around considering the time line and not everything will be down to the T compared to the movie.
Left behind series
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Left behind
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neytiri was enjoying her peaceful night with her two children, neteyam and kiri and her beloved mate jake. As she holds neteyam, while jake was holding kiri but he had a distant look into his eyes. Neytiri knows that look. It is a look where he is mentaly absent and wonders somewhere deep in his mind.
Doesn't happen often, and whenever it does, its about his past. Neytiri knows some of it but doesn't know all. Not that she minds. In fact, she encourages that he forgets his past. All of it.
"ma'jake" she softly calls out to him, placing her hand on his cheek, bringing his attention to her, bringing him back to the moment. Jake humms, paying attention to her. "whatever it is...its all in the past. Forget it, leave it behind. You are here with me and our children. You belong here with me" she says, letting her soft voice soothe his mind.
Unknowns to neytiri, it was the biggest mistake she will ever make.
Tumblr media
Neytiri was holding spider, her blade at his throat. In front of her, the demon of her nightmares, Miles Quaritch stands in a false na'vi body doing the same with kiri.
"do it, he aint mine" Quaritch says, no hesitation in his voice. In fact, he was grinning as if to encourage neytiri. This isn't what she wanted. She wanted to strike fear into his heart. Have him feel what she is feeling.
"he doesn't care if I die!" spider tells neytiri. Normally she would ignore him but this time, she couldn't. "You don't care for your own child!?" she screeches. The demon grins in a twisted way. "As far as I am aware Mrs. sully, he isnt my child......but she is"
"MOM/NEYTIRI LOOK OUT!!" Kiri and jake shout to her.
It was quick, it was swift, neytiri couldn't block it in time. A shadow lunged behind neytiri, kicking her behind the knees and body slamming her with full force bringing her and spider down.
Neytiri was quick, fangs out, hissing out in anger only to be met with a gun at her face. She looks up and she sees a young woman. Tall, tough looking, her expression cold and deadly. But one thing stood out, and that was her eyes.
Her eyes were blue.
The same blue eyes jake once had in his human form.
"please! please don't hurt her!!" spider crawled up in front of neytiri as means to protect her. He didn't care of neytiri was threatening his life moments ago, she was not someone he wished death upon.
"quaritch p-please...!! tell her to step down or something!!" spider begged. But the man simply grinned. "you said a child for a child isnt that right Mrs. Sully?" Quartich teases.
kiri had enough and bit his arm making him let go. She ran to her dad but a bullet barely scrapped her shoulder making her shout in surprise.
Jake looked at the young woman who was facing them and time stopped for him. The blue eyes.....he knows those eyes better than anyone else's. Cause they were his own.
"Fair trade I say jake. My child for YOUR child"
Neytiri and the kids were shocked. Jake looked as though he was stabbed a million times.
"daddy? daddy who is that?!" tuk asks as she tugs his hand. Kiri, spider and neytiri also wanted to know.
"she is my daughter" jake says. The daughter he loved. The daughter he cherished with his life. The daughter he left behind for Pandora.
The girl stared at him with nothing but hate and malice.
"not anymore" was what came of her mouth, her voice void of emotion, cold and distant.
"My name is Proto Quaritch, and I am Miles Quaritch's daughter!"
Tumblr media
Ngl I feel like I could have done better. I can see this being a series but I got three in the works. This will have to be temporarily be in the shelf until I am done with one of the series. Anyways, I hope ya'll like it!

Time flies
Sully family x child reader part 2
Part one- Eywas mystery
The years following when the sully’s took you in up until the time when you had to leave to go to the Metkayina clan
Tumblr media
~ age- 8 ~
Neytiri was teaching you how weave along with Kiri. It had been two years since Jake and Neytiri had found you. You had started calling the two your mom and dad with ease
“Mama can you help me please” you called out to Neytiri, your hands were stuck in the rope you were trying to weave into a net. Neytiri took one look at you and chuckled slightly
“come here little one” you kinda waddled her way trying not to trip on the longer pieces that were hitting your legs. Neytiri carefully unwrapped your hands and showed you the weave process again. This time she helped you more so you didn’t get your hands stuck again. Soon you had a simple, but effective net which you proudly showed Kiri
“Look I finished mine” your voice said happily showing your sister the next
“I finished mine too, I made a basket” Kiri said as she smiled
“We should use it to collect flowers Kiri!” She nodded so the two of you kissed your mom on the cheek and ran off into the flower field near by
~ age-12~
Neteyam , Lo’ak, Kiri and you were standing at the edge of the Hallelujah mountain
“It’s time to for you four to tame an Ikran” Jake said smiling
“Dad what if we fall” you say looking down and gulping. Jake pats your back softly “then I’ll swoop down and catch you, now go on you four”
Kiri is the first one to bond with an Ikran. She didn’t do it in the normal way though, she kind of befriended it?
Next was Neteyam, he tamed one quickly and efficiently. Within a few minutes he was flying around on his Ikran with ease
Lo’ak got thrown around a lot by the Ikran, he almost fell off when the Ikran flew down the mountain but he was able to connect his queue at the last minute
Finally it was your turn, the Ikran you had decided to try to tame was blue with streaks of purple. When you tried to get close she snapped at you ready to bite if you got too close, you had to admit that you were intimidated by the flying creature.
“Well here goes nothing” you said jumping on the ikrans back as she turned around.
The Ikran screeched and tried to throw you off as it flew into the air. Your hands struggled trying to grab your queue while still holding on to the creature. From the ground Jake was on his Ikran ready to grab you incase anyone happened and you fell off.
Finally you grabbed your queue and connected it with the ikrans. After a few minutes the blue and purple Ikran stopped thrashing and began to fly normally. You fly down to where your dad and your siblings were.
“You did great Y/N, but don’t scare me like that again” Neteyam said concerned about the fact that you could’ve plummeted to your death
“Don’t worry brother dad would never have let that happen plus Y/N way too good for that” Lo’ak said high fiving you
“Yeah she did much better then you two idiots” Kiri said as she wrapped her arm around your shoulder
Jake congratulated the four of you for doing so well. The five of you flew back to Neytiri and Tuk to share the accomplishments
~age-14~
The RDA was back on pandora and Quatrich, your dads old enemy, was back as an avatar. Right now because of your brother Lo’aks stupid need to see an old battle field him, Kiri, Tuk, Spider, and you were all being held hostage by Quatrich and his goons.
“Show me your hands girl” Quatrich said in very broken Na’vi, his goons had a gun to almost everyone’s head except Tuk who had a knife to her throat
You flipped Quatrich off as a way to show your five finger which made him roll his eyes. He had taken Lo’ak communication device a hours ago and had given your father instructions for giving himself up in exchange for you and your sibling. Suddenly you could hear your mothers signal, to anybody else it would just be interpreted as another sound of the pandorean jungle but to the sully kids it meant that their mother was near and ready to rescue them. Finally an opportunity to strike arises and Neytiri shots the guy holding Kiri with an arrow. Neytiri, Jake and Neteyam all spring into action. You, Tuk and Lo’ak bite the hands of your captors managing to distract them enough so that you could get away. Shots rang in the air and one of the avatars had Kiri but not for long as neytiri fired another arrow that landed straight into his chest. Neteyam almost gets shot while trying to rescue you guys but in the end all of the sully’s come out with minor injuries
“Where’s Spider?” Kiri’s voice trembled. At that moment everyone realizes that the human boy had been taken
“I’m so sorry kids, but I don’t think we can rescue him” Jake says, it hurt to see his children’s reaction more than losing Spider
That night you could hear your parents argue about what happened and how your dad just wanted to keep your family safe and the safety of the clan… which meant having to move, the RDA only cared about him and his family so if your family disappeared then both the family and the clan would be safe. You ran out of the hut, much to your parent’s surprise because they thought you and your siblings were asleep.
You sat outside of your home upset by your fathers words. You could feel someone sit down next to you
“I’m so sorry baby girl” Jake said wrapping his arm around you, you sob leaning in to your fathers embrace
“I don’t wanna leave dad, this is our home it’s not fair” your voice trembles
“I know baby, buts it’s for safety” Jake says looking black to see the rest of your family outside.
“You know what your father says, right kids” your mom says with a solemn expression
“Sully’s stick together” the sully kids say unenthusiastically
“Come on with attitude, I know you guys don’t want to leave but it needs to happen” Jake says hugging Tuk who was about to cry
The next day your father gave up his title of Olo’eyktan to Tarsem who sadly accepted. The entire clan was sad to see your family leave but they understood why you all had to leave
Everyone got on their Ikran, Tuk going with your mom, it took a few days to get to the Metkayina clan. When the sully’s landed they were surrounded by Metkayina, your father telling all of you to behave as some of the younger boys giving the family wary glares
“Look what is that? Is it supposed to be a tail” one of the metkayina boys says talking about Neteyam making some other metkayina laugh
You see Lo’ak entranced by a a girl walking out of the water and you just roll your eyes
“It’s too small how are they supposed to swim” the same boys say referring to your tail
“Do not Ao’nung Rotxo” the girl says, Lo’ak says hi to her and she smiles and looks away shyly
soon their Olo’eyktan (tonowari) came out of the water walking through the crowd to your family
“I see you Tonowari” your father says bowing slightly the rest of the family following his example
“Jake sully” Toniwari says as he acknowledges your family
Soon the tsahik came through the crowd her expression cold
“I see you, Ronal Tsahik of the metkayina” your father voice rang
“I see you Ronal” says Neytiri
“Why do you come to us Jake Sully” says Tonowari curious as to why forest people would come to their home near the ocean
“We seek uturu…” Jake says making the Metkayina gasp
“Uturu?” Ronal says surprised by your father statement
“…a sanctuary for my family” your father continues. Ronal walks forward after exchanging looks with her mate
“We are reef people. You are forest people. Your skills mean nothing here” the Olo’eyktan said as Ronal continues to circle your family
“So we will learn your ways, right” Jake said the last part directed towards his family
Ronal grabs your mothers tail and then Tuks arms
“Their arms are thin…” Ronal says walking and grabbing Kiris tail “…their tails are weak. You will be slow in the water”. Then she grabs hands hands raising them in the air
“These children are not even true Na’vi” she states as the Metkayina gasp
“Yes we are” you say upset. But she doesn’t care and just goes to grab Lo’aks hand and raises it to show his five fingers
“They have demon blood!” The tsahik claim immediately making the rest of the Metkayina more hostile towards your family. God how your blood was boiling at this point. You hadn’t done anything to this woman and she already didn’t like you and your family
“Look! Look” your father shows his hands “I was born to the sky people and now I’m Na’vi. You can adapt” he says turning back to Tonowari
“We can adapt” Jake says almost desperately
“My husband was Toruk Makto. He lead the clans to victory against the sky people” says Neytiri in an harsh tone as she looks at Tonowari.
“This you call victory? Hiding among strangers…” your mother looks down “…it seems Eywa has turned her back on you chosen” your mom hisses and Ronal retribution with a hiss of her own, you could see that the two were ready to fight at any second.
Jake cuts in between the two women apologizing for your mothers behavior claiming that the journey has made her tired and easily irritable and Tonowari changes the subject
“Toruk Makto is a a Great War leader. All Na’vi people know his story. But we Metkayina are not at war…” he turns to your father “… we cannot let you bring your war here” Toniwari says
“Look I’m done with war, okay? I just wanna keep my family safe” your father says holding Tuk
“Uturu has been asked” your mother says harshly
The Olo’eyktan and the Tsahik exchange looks before Ronal nods slightly
“Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters. But they do not know the sea. So, they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not know the shame of being useless” you could see your fathers relief as Tonowari said these words. The family thanked him and he explained that his children Ao’nung and Tsireya will you and your sibling their ways. The boy Ao’nung had obvious protest but was shut down by his father and the Tsireya just smiled and showed your family around. The next few weeks we’re going to be hard.
———————————————————————
There WILL be a part three focusing on your time with the metkayina clan so pls don’t comment saying it’s a cliffhanger. Anyways hoped you enjoyed :)

A moot of mine wanted me to compile this post and I had to oblige, since many people in the fandom decide to skip the comics for either story or artstyle reasons. Either way—
.
Top things to know about Spider Socorro from high ground comics series (for those who haven’t read it but want to know the tea)
.
Spider possesses a freakish amount of physical strength, and the comics make a point to show it on many occasions. To my memory, no one in said comics is put into situations where they are required to use brute force as often as him.
Pre-RDA’s return, he wore primarily red, orange and cyan on his clothes, jewellery and hair. After their return, he begins using the dull browns that we are used to.
Spider and Kiri have their own special slogan. While the whole family uses “Sullies stick together”, Kiri and Spidey use “War orphans stick together.”
Actually, the comics expand quite a bit on their bond. Kiri sees Spider as a brother, but not in a "friend-zoned" way or in "brothers in arms" way, no. She calls Spider a bother she never had, despite having two, and repeats time and time again that he is her real family. To her, Spider is quite literally blood-related, and I find it endlessly wholesome.
Jake says that in some ways, Spider is more of a Na’vi than he’ll ever be, but still has a deep-rooted anxiety that he’ll turn out like his father, though he keeps said anxiety well-hidden…most of the time.
Spider had a foster family at hell’s gate, the family of McCoskers, but he was heavily neglected by them, which ended up isolating him from humans even more. Nash Mckoser is especially annoying, as he rubs Spider’s insecurity about not belonging with Sullies into his face, and calls him ‘Miles’ instead of his chosen name. Father of the year everyone. 👏
Spider has a photo of his mother, Paz Socorro, taped to the ceiling of his bunk. He stares at it every night and takes the picture with him when escaping Hell’s gate.
Spider isn’t allowed to get close to the tree of souls during important ceremonies, like the council of clan leaders, as Neytiri doesn’t let him, so he watches it from a cliff on the edge of the clearing.
Spider apparently never looses his humour; not even when he’s almost out of oxygen and borderline choking. (“I’m so sorry Spider, we’ve gotta go around.” “Ha! You’re…killing…me *gasp* here!”)
But he can be serious when situation calls for it. When the kids were caught exploring the old battlefield, he takes responsibility for allowing himself and his siblings to go far from the village unsupervised, which led to minor injuries.
He then proceeds to be yelled at by Neytiri, as she exclaims that it’s "always his fault" and he "thinks he can wander wherever he wants — like all sky people". He has an outburst and they argue. This is about the only proper face-to-face direct interaction they have in all three volumes.
Neytiri regularly speaks ill of Spider, believing that he is trouble and will follow in Quaritch’s footsteps. The boy has always been fully aware of it, and builds a gradual resentment towards her for never seeing him as his own person.
When RDA return, Spider’s foster family wants to join them and leave the Omatikaya permanently. Spider is forced to go with them against his will, and Jake agrees with Nash, doing nothing to prevent it, perhaps influenced by the previously mentioned anxieties.
Spider gets later picked up by none other than his siblings (Kiri, Tuk and Lo’ak). They arrived to Hell’s gate in the night, determined to get him back, but Socorro’s foster father traps them in separate rooms, after which it was up to him to rescue them and dip.
Actively shields and protects Kiri as the group is running from the RDA tech on their heels.
Ends up on big bro duty when Lo’ak stays behind and protects both of his sisters 🥹 and he’s not playing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
16. When reuniting, Jake asks Spider to go back to the humans AGAIN, and the kid has to remind him that a certain avatar is also half-human, and wasn’t even born on Pandora. That finally shuts him up.
17. When the flying ship the Sullies are in crashes above the oceans and Kiri drowns, Spider is the one to carry her back to surface. The size difference is insane.
Tumblr media
18. Spider knows how to treat injuries. (he tends to the pilot of their crashed ship, who has a bleeding gash on her leg)

Hello 😊 I have a request for reader fighting with Loak cause he had Tsireya braid shells in his hair that he took from reader
Tumblr media
Pair: Lo'ak X human reader (siblings)
Tags: Silly fight, adorable, loak and the reader being idiots.
Warning: None.
Note: I hope this request has been well done. I didn't understand much, but I did the best I could. I don't know, if you meant that loak took the beads from the reader, and gave them to tsireya, OR that loak had beads in his hair that the reader had given to tsireya. But I'm going with the first option.
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"
So are you going to that reunion?" asks tsireya. You two were sitting on the beach, talking about anything. But just now she was asking you if you were going to attend a meeting that the younger metkayina were having to celebrate their becoming adults. You didn't know whether to go or not. It all depended on if your brothers were going to attend, well… if neteyam was going to attend, if he wasn't going you weren't going. Orders from your father.
Father? Siblings? You were the human daughter that jake had with a woman from the RDA base, before he became a full navi. It was a one-night stand, and your mother gave you up quickly at birth… she didn't plan on keeping you. So when the humans were sent to earth again, he left you with your father and took off. Jake of course, always looked out for you. You were his oldest daughter, you were only 8 months older than neteyam. On the other hand, Neytiri accepted you completely, she might hate humans and couldn't stand spider's presence, but you were her now partner's daughter. She was your mother, she raised you and took care of you. She had no preference for anyone, you were one of her children.
Although you were the oldest, neteyam was the one who behaved older than you. While kiri and you were next. Then there was your younger brother loak, shit you loved loak…but someday he was going to make you bald. " Well…I don't know, I have to ask neteyam" you say, as you start to braid a piece of your hair. You see how tsireya is still talking, you are watching the girl. You see her movements and gestures. But your eyes are fixed on her hair, your breathing stops when you see the set of beads you had created a few days ago.
The beads were a set of 4, a mixture of shells and pearls that you had collected with extreme care, choosing the most precious ones. You spent hours, preparing them to be the perfect size and shape. You were going to give them to Neytiri, so they were very special to you. And now they were hanging in the hair of your younger brother's lover. Tsireya sees how you are looking at her, your eyes are wide open, and from what she had learned you were turning pink. The girl follows your gaze, until she locates what you were looking at. She glances at the braid she had the beads on and then looks back at you.
"Do you like them? They're beautiful aren't they, loak gave them to me last night… he's very" tsireya falls silent, as she watches you get up furiously. You don't even say a proper goodbye to your friend and run off to your marui. It doesn't take you long to get to the marui, there was your father cutting up some fish.
"Hey beautiful…what's up? What's with that face?" asks Jake, looking up to see your behavior. You walk over to your father and sit down next to him. You literally drop you on the floor. "Dad…I'm going to kill loak" you say.
"Y/N you always want to kill loak" jake says, turning his gaze away…as he continued to cut the fish. This wasn't new between you and loak. You guys were always fighting. "He took a bead he had prepared for mom" you're yelling. "And did he break them?" asks Jake.
"No, but he gave them to tsireya…. and those beads are mine. I was the one who spent work making them" you speak, while resting your head on your dad's forearm. Jake reaches up and strokes your hair a little. "Baby…take it easy. When he gets here we'll talk to him." Jake says, trying to reassure his daughter. He knew she was very sentimental, and these things…even if they were silly to some people they affected you. He knew that everything you did always had a purpose. But you were also very temperamental.
You were trying to calm down, until you hear the laughter of aonung, neteyam and… loak. -that idiot- you think, picking yourself up off the ground and getting out of the marui. Jake says nothing and continues to prepare the fish. When you get out of the marui, you see how the 3 guys are joking on the coast near the marui. You walk quickly. Loak doesn't notice you approaching quickly, and he didn't know how upset you were. Neteyam was the only one who noticed your behavior, but it was too late. You jump on top of loak, pushing the boy into the water.
"I'm going to kill you!!!" you yell, as you are fighting with loak. "Get off me crazy!!!" loak is struggling with your hands, trying to get free from you. You might be small, but you were like an annoying chihuahua. You were not easy to beat. "You took my beads, and you give them away just because." You punch him in the face. Loak gives a cry of pain. And pulls your hair. Meanwhile neteyam was watching the situation, he was laughing next to aonung. " I bet you Y/N is going to win" says neteyam, making aonung give a laugh.
It was night and the two of you were sitting on the floor of the marui, while neytiti healed some bruises on loak's face. You are intact. "This would be 20 against 10…loak you are losing" teases neteyam. You were still upset, and you were looking at loak with angry eyes. "I know you're upset…but Y/N you shouldn't have hit loak like that. And loak stop taking Y/N's things" says neytiri, getting up from the floor. To go to you, sitting next to you and hugging you. "Honey… you'll make another set of beads later. And I will gladly use them" neytiri pulls you closer to her, to comfort you. Tuk moves closer to his brother, to pretend as if she's beating him. Kiri had to laugh, while jake carries tuk, to leave his big brother alone. Loak gives you a look, but quickly changes it when he sees how you were still upset.
After dinner, everyone gets ready for bed. You settle in next to tuk, you were pretty sleepy. As usual, ever since you came to the Metkayina clan you all slept together. Neteyam, next to him was kiri, tuk then you and next to you loak. You feel him lie down next to you. "Are you asleep?" asks loak, thumping you with his tail. "If I were asleep… would I be answering you?" you say, as you give your tail a squeeze. Loak gives a jump, but settles down to be closer to you. The boy hugs you from behind. So you're on his chest. You and Loak were always fighting, but you were inseparable…since you were little. Ever since Loak was born, you never left his side. So he hated it when you were mad at him, because everyone could be mad at him and he didn't care. But if you were upset with him…he felt like he was going to die.
"Forgive me…please" Loak whines. You continue to ignore him and pretend to sleep. "I know I shouldn't have taken your beads, but I needed something to impress tsireya" loak keeps talking. You turn away from him, to turn around and come face to face with your brother. "You didn't have to take mine… you would have asked me and I would have made you some special ones for her." You say, smacking him upside the head. Loak yelps, but laughs a little. "Forgive me?" Loak pouts. You take a deep breath, you couldn't be upset with him. "Okay… but as punishment, you'll have to help me with something" you say with a mischievous grin. "What's that?" Loak says. "You have to help me talk to aonung" you spit. Loak opens his mouth and turns quickly, to turn his back to you. " No… not that idiot" loak says, closing his eyes. "LOAKKKK" you start pushing him.
You two were quietly fighting, while neytiri and jake heard you in the distance. "What are we going to do with those two?" says neytiri, getting more comfortable on jake's chest. "Leave them, they'll be fine" jake speaks, closing his eyes and trying to ignore their little fight on the other side of the marui.
p.s Ahhh I already imagined a whole story of Y/N and the sullys. Waaaa

The Sully family had taken you in and you were forever grateful for it.
Ever since you were a baby— with Max and Norm not having enough time since they’ve been dealing with keeping things in check, you busied yourself going to the Sully family along with Spider. You grew up alongside Kiri, Lo’ak, Spider, and Neteyam acting like your older brother.
Neytiri, funny enough, had also taken a liking to you, except for Spider. Soon after Jake noticed, and with how he often hears Norm and Max scolding you for messing with the accessories and wirings in the shack if he doesn’t allow you to go outside; a bulb lit up atop his head and he took you in.
Of course, he consulted with Neytiri first, well, it didn’t take a lot of convincing as Jake was talking to her, she could see you getting along with her own children very well.
Although Jake also bought up the equation of them also taking Spider in, but she refused with a hiss, saying how he was laced with the blood of the man she had loathed all her life, even if she had killed him already.
She watched as all of you, including Spider played with each other. Neteyam was chasing Kiri and Spider around, when she spotted how you were comforting Lo’ak, showing him that there was nothing wrong with having four fingers as a Na’vi.
Neytiri agreed to take you in.
Years had passed and all of you grew, your body changed, you grew taller, and then there was the very noticeable feature about you.
“Your eyes are so cool, (Y/N)!” Tuk praises while she plays with your hair. You tilt your head. “Do you think so? Tuk tuk?” You giggle at the nickname you give her. “Yeah! They’re like the— the, what do you call it again?” Tuk knitted her brows in thought.
“Tuk, come here, stop bothering your sister.” Neytiri calls out to her, you smile and stood up, taking Tuk to Neytiri.
“Hello, Sa’nok (mother).” You greet, leaning your head against her cheek to which Neytiri smiles and closes her eyes, nudging her cheek towards you.
“What are you doing, mom?” Tuk asked, moving to sit on Neytiri’s lap. You smile and leave the two, joining the others.
You’ve seen yourself in reflections, and you’ve noticed that your eyes had two different colors. One was hazel, almost like the color of the sun, and the other was a striking blue, as if it had taken the color straight from the oceans of Pandora itself. You’ve never really made it a big deal, but you still get conscious every time the other Na’vi stare at you for too long.
You were cut off with your thoughts as you heard Lo’ak’s voice calling to you.
“Hey (Y/N) come with us, we’re going out!”
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
You laughed as you ran with Kiri, Lo’ak, Spider, and Tuk into the forest.
“Tuk, keep up!” Lo’ak turns to her as you all jogged. “Okay, okay!” She spoke.
“Bro why’d you bring her anyway?” Spider said while you nudged him.
“Cause she’s such a crybaby!” Lo’ak said, turning to face us.
“I’m telling, you’re not supposed to go to the battlefield- I’ll tell mom if you don’t let me come.” Lo’ak said in a high-pitched voice and exaggerated movements. You laughed as Tuk shot her tongue out at him.
“Don’t pick on her.” Kiri says.
You explored some more, seeing an RDA Samson hanging by the vines, completely overrun by nature.
“Kiri!” You called out alongside Tuk and Lo’ak, wondering where the girl could’ve gone. “We have to get back!” You spoke.
On your way back, you were all chatting about what happened and what all of you saw. You were in the middle of making fun of Spider when Lo’ak halted, hopping off the branch and crouching down on the ground. “What is it?” You asked.
“Guys we’re supposed to be home by eclipse!” Tuk reminded.
You watched as Lo’ak carefully inspected the footprint. “That’s way too big for a human…”
“Avatars?” Spider suggested. “Maybe.” Replied Lo’ak.
He began walking which prompted all of you to follow him. “What are you doing?” Kiri asked. “Shh, I’m tracking.”
“I think this is a bad idea…” You mumbled, still following your brother.
“Shh, sis. Besides we could warn father early if we knew what’s out there.” He reasoned.
“Not if we get killed, or captured, or worse—”
“We’re not going to get captured.” Lo’ak confirmed.
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
You crouched as you watched Avatars wearing military outfits approach the old, abandoned shack.
“We were never supposed to come here…” Kiri whispers as you crouched beside her. “Lo’ak.. I think we should… Dad’s going to kill us-“
“Shh, stop.” Lo’ak hushed you, you rolled your eyes.
“Bro, we’ve got to check this out.” Lo’ak nudged Spider as they crouched closer to the site.
After a few moments, Lo’ak decided to warn Jake.
“I got eyes on some guys, they look like Avatars… but they’re in full camo and gears and ARs..”
After a few seconds, Lo’ak gulped. “… We’re in the old shack.”
“Who’s we?” You heard Jake say through the comms.
He sighs “Me, Spider, Kiri, (Y/N)… and Tuk.”
With that, Tuk moved a little closer to you and Kiri.
“Yes sir, we’re moving out.” Lo’ak whispered, waving his arms to pull back.
Now you were running away, hoping you’d get back to the village in time.
“You’re in so much trouble.” You speak. “(Y/N) not you too. Stop it.” He replied.
“It’s almost eclipse, come on!” Tuk ushered.
Then everything happened too fast.
One of the avatars in camo popped out, grabbing Tuk as she screamed.
“TUK!” You shout out, looking around you to see them circling around you. You pulled out your dagger as Spider drew his bow as Lo’ak did the same. You hissed at them, glancing around frantically to see their guns pointed straight at you.
“Put them down, put them down!” One commanded.
“Kesatyn (Put those down).” Lo’ak says.
You grunted but obeyed, throwing your dagger down. You were immediately grabbed by the hair and tugged towards someone. You whine in pain as your other siblings were grabbed.
“Kiri, (Y/N)!” Tuk pleaded. Kiri comforted her, telling her to calm down. You were about to speak as well when your hair was tugged again.
You looked around the avatars with gears, mean looking, looked like they were ready to kill with their intimidating guns.
You were held beside Kiri who you could hear praying for safety.
Sighing and closing your eyes, you also thought of a silent prayer.
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
It seems both you and Kiri’s prayer were answered as your adopted mother, Neytiri, came to your rescue.
Now you were all running with your hands bound as shots could be heard from around you.
“Go, go!” Lo’ak said, supporting you as he gave you a push to go faster as you ran through vines and branches. Your body felt like it wanted to give up already, but you didn’t. From a distance you could hear Kiri screaming. “Spider!”
You and Lo’ak took a glance at each other, knowing that something had possibly happened to him. Your heart began to race even faster, your only human friend your age, who you also considered as a brother- something happened. You could feel it in yourself that it wasn’t good.
But you couldn’t stop. You kept running.
“Let’s go!” You hear Lo’ak shout to both you and Tuk, swinging from vines you landed on the ground, but it wasn’t far from over as new figures met you in the middle, Tuk screaming again.
You were about to attack when you realized it was the figures of your family, your father, mother, sister, and your older brother.
“Hey, hey, woah. Are you guys okay? You good?” Jake asked, meeting every pair of eyes including yours. “Are you hurt? Tuk!” Jake asked, tugging Tuk close to him to inspect her before enclosing her in a hug while Tuk sobbed.
“Are you alright?” You hear Neteyam ask both you and Lo’ak. You nod, you couldn’t really tell if you were hurt, your mind was still racing. “We’re good bro, I think.” Lo’ak said, looking at you before back at Neteyam.
You watched, hidden from them as you saw them depart with their bright flashing lights. Your heart still pounding as you faced one another as Jake approached.
“Okay we’re clear. Everyone okay?” You saw how Neytiri went to hug Tuk as she clung to her arms.
“You boys? It’s good, we’re good.” Jake says, embracing two of his sons, letting out a sigh of relief. “It’s okay.”
“Ma (Y/N), are you hurt?” Neytiri turns her attention to you, using her hand to pull you towards her, inspecting your little face with her huge hands. “I- I think I’m fine, ma.” You say. Neytiri then pulls you, Tuk, and Kiri into a big hug as she said her thanks. “Oh, Great Mother, thank you, thank you.”
You nudged closer to them, fearing that they’ll be gone at any second. Then you heard Lo’ak.
“Where’s Spider?”
Pulling away from your mother’s touch, you looked around, before looking at Kiri, seeing how her expression turned into pain. “They took him. They took him.” She said, her voice breaking as she started to sob. Your mouth went agape, going over to Kiri and hugging her, knowing how much Spider meant to you and her.
Jake stood, watching her daughters cry, holding one another for comfort. He frowns, approaching the two of you as he hugged you both. “It’s okay, hey, look at me.” Jake said, you and Kiri looking up at him with tear-stained eyes that pained Jake’s heart. “He’s gonna make it alright? He’s a tough kid.”
That made you two cry out, burying both your faces in your dad’s shoulder. “Shh, shh, he’s gonna be okay.”
You could feel Jake’s hand hold your head delicately, softly stroking. “We’re all going to be okay.”
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
A few days had passed since that event.
You felt a little bit better, except for your sore muscles.
You were hanging out with Neteyam and Lo’ak, on your way home with your usual playful banter with one another.
“I can catch a fish faster than you bozos.” You mused, a smile on your face.
“Oh yeah, you’re like the size of that fish.” Neteyam said which sent Lo’ak laughing “Good one, bro!”
“Hey! Not fair, dickhead.” You said while Neteyam laughed at your attempt to chase him.
Finally nearing the tent, you could spot Kiri and Tuk kneeling down, seemed to be listening to something, you listened in as Neteyam and Lo’ak were still talking.
Then the three of you met Kiri’s eyes as she raised her hand up before placing the back of her hand to her mouth. ‘Be quiet’ You thought it meant.
You three looked at each other before quietly making your way beside them, kneeling down as you listened.
“You cannot ask this.” You could now hear your mother say clearly. “I cannot leave my people— I will not.”
“He’s hunting us.” Jake said, then he spoke again. “He’s targeting our family-“
“You cannot ask this!” Neytiri shouted making all of you flinch. “The children, everything they’ve ever known- the forest! This is our home!”
“What are they...”
“Shh!” You say to Lo’ak.
“They had our children. He had them under his knife.” Jake hissed. “My father gave me this bow, as he lay dying, and he said protect the people,” You could hear Neytiri’s voice break. “You’re Toruk Makto!”
“This will protect the people!” Jake answered. “Quaritch has Spider, and that kid knows everything!”
“He knows our whole operations!” At the mention of Spider’s name, all of you looked at each other again as you frowned, being reminded again that Spider was gone. Neteyam offered a hand on your shoulder as you looked up at him.
“If the people harbor us, they will die, do you understand?”
You sat back down, looking at the ground.
All of you didn’t know what was about to happen until it did.
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
You watched as Mo’at transferred the vest of the Olo’eyktan to Tarsem. Every second you watched felt like it wasn’t happening.
Turning your head quickly once Tarsem landed his blade on Jake, you felt your mother, Neytiri’s hand on your arm. He was no longer the Olo’eyktan. Toruk Makto had gone.
You watched as you left the Tree of Souls, every Omaticaya you have known looking at you with great sorrow. You were one of the few humans they had accepted, and now they were seeing you go.
Once you’ve reached the ikrans, you carried your bags with you.
“(Y/N), here, you’ll ride with me, alright?” Jake said, walking over to you and picking your bags, placing them in the pockets of his ikran’s saddle. You nod as you watched your siblings mount on theirs.
Taking a one last glance at the forest, you felt your lip quiver. You were human, you weren’t even supposed to be born in this place yet it was the place you grew up in, made friends with, found your own family when yours had gone.
“Come on, let’s go.” Jake whispers to you.
You mount his ikran, Bob. Before Jake does, shielding your body protectively as you held onto Bob’s antenna.
Then you were flying.
You didn’t know how long you were travelling for, you encountered windy places, sunny ones, and now there was a heavy rain.
You shielded yourself with the much larger coat wrapped around you, almost shivering from the cold as you held onto Bob’s antenna.
“Hey, you alright? Hold on, okay?” Jake said from behind you as you nodded, shielding your face once another huge wave hits.
Then you finally reached the vast ocean. The clear waters making you see every creature that swam underneath it. You kept your eyes peeled as you neared the village. You could already spot some of its people you passed.
Then their horn sounded.
Once the ikran’s feet landed with a thud, Jake tapped you on the shoulder. “Let’s go.”
Nervousness filled ever fiber of your being as Jake supported you as you landed on the sand, still covering yourself with your coat.
“On me.” Jake said, stepping up front as you stayed behind, in the middle of Neteyam and Lo’ak, where you feel protected.
You then saw two of them approaching you and your brothers, circling them.
“What is that? Is that supposed to be a tail?” One of them said, patting the other on the arm as he laughed. “No, yo look is that…” You met eye contact with the one who made fun of their tails, making the other also look at you.
“Sky people, they have bought demons here.” The other said, now making people’s head turn to you.
Neteyam protectively shields his body from you, eyeing the other two down as Lo’ak did the same.
You kept your composure, already hearing whispers amongst the crowd.
Then you saw her.
Your eyes caught on a curly headed Metkayina, who seems to also be around your age, dismount from a creature, diving in the ocean before emerging once again, walking towards the shore as she flipped her hair.
“Why did they bring one of the sky people here?” The other said. They both take a look at you as you glanced at them. “Woah, did you see her eyes-!”
“Do not! Rotxo, Ao’nung.” She spat, slapping the other on the arm to stop their teasing.
She then meets your eye.
Then you saw it, you saw bright big eyes slightly widen as her head tilted at you. ‘Great, she must think I’m a demon too…’ You thought.
But maybe she doesn’t.
You give her a small nod and an audible “Hi”, in which she returns with the same curious look on her face, yet there was now a smile as she nodded back at you in greeting.
Maybe being here isn’t going to be so bad at all.
Then the Olo’eyktan and the Tsahik came.
You knew you were fucked.
That thought came true when the Tsahik suddenly yanked your coat after inspecting the rests of your siblings and leaving an uncalled-for commentary.
As your coat was thrown, it revealed your human body to everyone, them letting out a comical gasp.
“You dare bring their kind here?! One of the sky people! A demon!” She spoke out loud, staring you down in which you wanted to just crawl into a hole and die as you felt the familiar lump in your throat as you were met with everybody’s eyes. “And this demon,” She inches her face to yours with a snarl, staring you right in the eye. “Is different, but still a demon.”  You knew what she was referring to. Grabbing your arm.
“Hey, hey! Look! She’s part of our family, there’s nothing you can do about it. She’s not with the Sky People, she grew up here in Pandora, with my children.” Jake said.
“She is our daughter.” Neytiri confirmed through gritted teeth at the Tsahik.
She still stared you down, ears flicking upon hearing Neytiri. Somehow, she could sense it was true and let you go, letting your arm drop as you cradled it, her touch was surely to bruise. You were embarrassed enough already as she walked away.
Your older brother, Neteyam, kindly picked your coat back up, ridding the sand off it before wrapping it around you again, noticing the others staring at you for too long, making him glare at them before looking down to you. “You okay?”
But you didn’t look at him as your eyes came in contact again with the girl from earlier as she was frowning, seeming to offer sympathy to you. “Yeah, yeah I’m fine.”
‿︵‿︵ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ・❉・ ʚ˚̣̣̣͙ɞ‿︵‿︵
Once they had granted your family uturu, you were now carrying your bags towards your own marui. You couldn’t help but still feel conscious, feeling their stare on you as the others still whispered.
You looked to the side to see a Metkayina kid approaching you with a curious look on their face, when their mother followed, stopping their child as she pulls them, looking at you with a devious glare.
Shaking your head, you moved forward.
Then you finally reached your destination.
“This is for you, your new home.” You heard the girl from earlier speak, and my god you swore her voice was the softest thing you’ve ever known. “This is great. This is nice, right?” Jake said. You inspected the inside, then you heard a thud and a sigh, making you look at your mother to see she had dropped her stuff. Yikes.
They had let you rest for the day as you were tired from the hours of flight you just had endured to get here.
Settling in, it wasn’t easy as you thought. Well, it really wasn’t, considering you were still human who had different colored eyes. It made all of the Metkayina stare at you when they just spot you outside exploring with your siblings.
This morning, you arranged your stuff as you claimed your spot inside the marui. You also had the change of clothes offered by the chief’s daughter, who’s name you learned was Tsireya. A name you think you could get used to saying. She offered them to your sisters and you, to better suit the ocean and the climate.
For now, you had decided to explore the area again with your siblings.
“Tuk, careful, you might fall!” You warn your little sibling as she jumped and jumped over the platform, making ‘boing, boing, boing’ noises with her mouth.
“Careful, Tuk.” Neteyam followed behind you. You were still wary of the place, wondering how things ran around here when your eyes scanned the areas. Still, you’ve been already half-accustomed to the half of the Awa’atlu village staring at you, some already got over it, while others gave you weird looks.
You were in mid thought when Tuk lets out an ‘Oumph’ making you perk your head up.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Then came the soft voice, holding Tuk steady. Tuk shyly giggles “Sorry!”
“Tuk.” Lo’ak called for his little sister, making Tuk turn and head towards Lo’ak. Now you were met face to face with Tsireya.
It only dawned on you how she was taller than you by a foot, you guessed, her big blue eyes looking down on you with that look of curiosity. You feel yourself shy under her gaze. “Sorry for that.” You apologize.
“No, no, it is alright, it is important for you guys to feel welcomed here.” She says to you.
Lo’ak and Neteyam could only snicker in the background as they witnessed you completely be a nervous wreck in front of the chief’s daughter, with poor Tuk not knowing what was going on. “Why are you guys laughing?”
“Yes, we- we feel welcomed.” You answer, although you sounded like you weren’t. Tsireya caught onto that but didn’t say anything, however, she was very much interested in looking at you, and knowing more about you, your kind, and of course, you in general. She had never seen a ‘Sky People’ before and… were they really this small? And did every ‘Sky People’ had the same eyes as you?
You were now really feeling shy as she inspected you, so you looked everywhere, breaking eye contact with her, making her realize what she was doing as she shakes her head, a slight dark tint to teal-green round cheeks.
“That is good, I can’t wait to start teaching you guys tomorrow.” She said with enthusiasm, looking at Neteyam, Lo’ak and Tuk, who returned her smile and nodded, then she looked at you.
You finally smile, and Tsireya almost chirped at how you looked. Cute
You were about to speak again when somebody called out to her, making her turn her head.
“Oh, it looks like I am needed…” She turns back. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow?”
“You bet.” You reply out of thought, immediately cringing at your tone with a scrunch of your nose, however you hear Tsireya giggle and wave at you goodbye as she jogged away.
You turn around and you were met with the playful looks from your siblings, mainly Neteyam and Lo’ak. You still cringed as you approached them, smacking their arms as they let out an ‘Ow’
“Let’s go.” You speak and Tuk clings to you as you start walking back.
“Oooh, someone’s in love.” Lo’ak started. “Oh, wonder who it could be brother, hm?” Neteyam joined him in his mischief. “I think it’s our sister, maybe? I’m not sure.” Lo’ak followed.
“I will literally drown you guys in acid if you keep this up.” You threatened.
“No, (Y/N) don’t do that!” Tuk pleaded, making your brothers laugh out loud.
Walking back to your pod, you saw your father. The moment he spots you he nods “Okay, Sully’s fall in.”
“Didn’t know we had a family meeting.” You said, Jake gives you a look before all of you sat or kneeled.
“First off, I need you kids on your best behaviour,” Jake started, hand outstretched as if he was blessing us to be good. “I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight.” He spoke. “Don’t cause trouble, got it?”
“Yes sir.” Lo’ak replied. You and Neteyam look at Lo’ak in the middle of you two with a smirk. Neteyam playfully places a hand on Lo’ak’s shoulder, yet Lo’ak was having none of it as he hissed at Neteyam, making the two of you laugh.
“I want to go home.” Tuk suddenly says, a frown etched on her face as you pursed your lips, placing a comforting hand on her arm as she wiped her tears with her other hand. “Aw, Tuk.” Neytiri says, frowning as well.
“Tuk,” Jake said in a whisper “This is our home now.”
He grabs Tuk’s hand before looking at all of you. “We’re gonna get through this. We’re going to get through this if we have each other’s backs. Right?”
“What does your father always say?” Neytiri inquired.
“Sully’s stick together.” Neteyam was the first one to respond in a hushed voice. “That’s right, Sully’s stick together… Now this time with some feeling.” Jake requested.
“Sully’s stick together.” You all said simultaneously.

Infatuation — prologue

Tumblr media
#SYNOPSIS— Recom Miles gets a briefing from his predecessor
#WARNING(S)— possessive behavior, unhealthy obsession, abuse of power, dark quaritch, yandere, stalking
#CHARACTER(S)— colonel miles quaritch, Recom! Miles Quaritch
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
❝ In case you haven’t figured it out yet you’re Colonel Miles Quaritch. Only younger, taller and not nearly as good looking— what you won’t remember is my death because it hasn’t happened and it ain’t gonna— And if you are watching this it means I did get my ticket punched. Well whatever happens if your any clone of mine you’ll be looking for some payback that would be Jake Sully he’ll be the top of the list. But he ain’t the reason why I’m making this video log— no. We have more important matters to discuss ❞
Miles tail flicked agitated, he knew exactly who he was talking about. You were constant in this memories, haunting him ins his dreams with feathery touches and whispers.
❝ You see Jake sully took something from me. It belonged to me— and I’m not keen on sharing. No— the thought of even sharing her with you doesn’t sit right with me. You listen to me Colonel, if anything does happen to me than it’ll be your job to bring her back to me. I want her buried beside me in my grave— I rather have her dead than alive ❞ a slow grin curled up the corner of his lips What’s that sayin again? Not even death can do us part— yeah I like that ❞
He had a vague understanding of the Colonel’s infatuation with you. His memories were still fuzzy— incomplete. The scientist assured him that his memories will come back, bits and pieces. He remembers the basics of who he is but the most prominent memories were of you. His first contact with you. A small chance encounter and he was smitten, you however seemed to be uncomfortable near him. Walking on egg shells whenever he was around— not that his predecessor noticed. No— he was far too preoccupied daydreaming about you and the countless possibilities that could happen.
An immense portion of miles heart ached for you. You— a woman he’s never laid his eyes on had bewitched him. It was an odd feeling— to feel incomplete; to feel like a part of him was missing. This feeling would only escalate during sleepless nights when the cold crept up on his skin— he yearned for the warmth of your skin. But he wasn’t here to rekindle a past romance — no he was here to kill Jake Sully and bury you beside the Colonel. However, at one point his curiosity got the best of him and decided to do a throughout search of information in the RDA database. You were considered traitorous, to be taken alive if found. He scrolled through your profile finding old video logs.
When browsing through the logs, he heard your voice and his ears perked up. He stared at you with wide eyes, ears pointed toward your voice. Your eyes shone brightly as you rambled on about the various species of na'vi that lived on Pandora while making wide gestures. Your rant came to an end— instead you grimaced at a booming voice interrupting you ❝ Buttercup— the Colonel wants to see you ❞ It was his Corporal— Lyle Wainfleet. Miles tail flicked in annoyance, his gut twisted uncomfortably. A rumble vibrated through his chest as he expressed his annoyance.
From his scarce memories, he recalls that he typically sent Lyle to pick you up from the scientist, ready to hear about your report on the relationship with the na'vi. To see if there were any improvements or downfalls etc. However, this was just an excuse; he never actually paid attention to the report. No, he was far too busy ogling at you. Miles scowled, he wondered just how many times Lyle had referred to you with pet names. An unfamiliar feeling scratched at his chest. The video log abruptly ended, probably on your way to go meet his predecessor.
Miles huffed, tail slapping against the ground. It wasn’t enough— as much as he ached to hear your voice he felt the need to have your presence beside him. The only possibly way he could find you is by catching Jake Sully and taking the information from him. But you weren’t his— you were to be buried beside his predecessor; orders from him. Just a small moment— a minute of having you to himself and that would be enough to state him.

Combatants
- At the age of fifteen he had already learned silence.
It was his fourth time at a raid. Everything was planned, calculated to the very last drop.
Jake Sully, the great Olo'eyktan and his father, had stayed till late hours perfecting the plan of their raid. The tent in which they were staying was mostly used for gatherings of all the skilled warriors within the clan including Toruk Makto. The meetings consisted of strategic planning of their upcoming attacks, they would draw on a makeshift map of the area that surrounded the tracks made by their oppressors. The tent was large enough to hold a dozen, it had a lengthy table in the middle making the space feel confined. Air felt thick, hard to breathe in.
Jake Sully had his hands pressed against the rough wood, eyebrows furrowed and eyes searching for an answer that could not be seen. Neteyam wondered if his father’s muscles were always so tense, almost as if they were about to snap.
“The RDA has taken a huge blow on their equipment. They won’t be willing to sacrifice more. I presume they’ll bring reinforcement, Sir.”
“That’s for sure, the question is from where they will hit us.” Toruk Makto’s hand went to trace over the previously drawn lines of the movement they were planning. Ink smudged beneath his fingertips slightly staining them with black. Everyone had left the gathering hours ago, pleased with their work. But to Jake it felt like nothing was finished, nothing felt right.
“It could be from anywhere, Sir. We should be prepared for the worse. Gathering a larger group of warriors on the ground would be our best option.” Neteyam felt confident in his answer, or rather tried to.
“Why so?”
“It would be easier for us to not be seen. Sky people have a pattern to their attacks. They have no ground force, only air force, so-” His fingers traced next to the lining of the tracks on the map. “-if we move here where the trees keep us cover. We would have a greater plane to move across, they wouldn’t know where to hit.” Neteyam’s eyes glanced up to his father’s, searching for validation. But Jake Sully’s face remained stoic thinking over what his son stated.
“Spotters will still be vital for us but only a few are necessary. The less we are seen in the sky the better.” He continued. His father hadn’t uttered a word. The tent's walls painfully closed around, making it hard to inhale. The confidence he once felt had drained from him. An apology for his futile comment was about to slip off his tongue as he took his last sharp breath.
“Come on, we’ll need to get a good night’s sleep.” He patted his son’s shoulder and walked out of the tent. Yes, sir, it was a whisper, almost like he had said it to himself. He leaned against the table folding the scruffy piece of paper, placing it where all the other maps and plans were situated. They smelled like poison. Once you touch them you would be marked with the blood of the ones that died during the raids. You would be part of the reason for their death.
The fifteen-year-old tried to wholly blame their invaders, the men who shot their bullets at them. But after the names of the warriors who laid deceased on the battlefield were announced, guilt consumed his mind. The blood on his hands couldn’t be washed.
Morning had come. Everyone rushed from place to place picking up weapons. Their faces were painted in different colours, masking their fear. No one was sure whether they would live throughout the day. It was a gamble, each of their raids was a gamble with death. All members of the gatherings knew of this - an unspoken truth. A truth that was too hard to swallow. Felt taboo to even think about it, so it was never spoken of aloud.
The young boy’s footsteps matched the ones of all the skilled warriors, the sense of confidence radiating off of them - they were fast and controlled, each step very well calculated. He was marching off to the tent that had been occupied by him and his father many hours ago, knowing that Jake Sully would be there. He needed to apologize for his previous outburst. He felt compunction clawing at him, he needed to learn to be silent - to keep all fruitless comments to himself. Neteyam was consumed by his own thoughts, each yell or noise was blurred only making a slight vibration passing through his skin. Then he heard it. Her voice.
“Neteyam, yawne!” The voice of his soon-to-be mate. She jogged through the crowd, a smile on her plump lips. Her face was decorated with warrior's paint complimenting her seraphic features. Her eyes were big, having so much life in them.
“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be with Kiri and Mo’at helping them?” His eyes narrowed.
“I won’t be needed there.” She took his larger hands into her own, squeezing them lightly. The smile on her face remained. ”I’ll be joining you, fighting with you.”
The scowl plastered across his face deepened. A sudden premonition came over him. He had been terrified of the thought of other na’vi, unknown to him putting their life on the line. But his future mate? He could not let such a thing happen. The mere idea of losing her left him petrified.
“No. You won’t be. You’ll be staying with Mo’at, where I know you’ll be safe.” The Olo'eyktan’s son tried to keep his voice soft.
“Your father told me I can come.” Her hands moved up to his shoulders then to his face, gently caressing his freckled skin. ”I am a warrior, Neteyam. I know how to keep myself safe and… I have you to protect me.” His gaze softened, grasping her hands in his rough ones. ‘How could my father permit such a delicate girl on the filthy field?’ He thought displeased.
Neteyam and Syay had met a year ago, not by fate but their parents. Her family being a respected household in the clan, it was no wonder they would soon cross paths. At first their interactions were forced, neither of them wanted to be betrothed to the other but they knew this was their duty. They had to get along for the clan, for the people. Months went by and the hours they spent together seemed less painful and felt less like a chore.
“Promise me you will stay by my side at all times.” It was a demand. Leaning forward Syay touched her forehead to his. She could sensor the cold sweat clinging to the boy’s skin, his muscles taut
“I will, yawne.”
The brown cloth that was used as an entry was moved to the side revealing several combatants gathered around his father. On the table beneath their palms was placed the worn out map. Their gazes shot like arrows in his way, ready to pierce through the thickest flesh. Agitation was written on their faces, mortality blooming under their skin. Toruk Makto had gathered them once again due to his own fear of failure. The Olo'eyktan was the last to pick up his head.
Neteyam’s posture was awkward, out of place, his fingers still gripping the cloth. Their predatorily stare made him feel weak as If he were to be hunted. Cautiously he took a step forward, the tent’s entrance sliding closed, then a few more steps until he was at the base of the table.
“Sir, may I speak with you?” The young boy spoke with pseudo confidence, all eyes on him but his own bore through his father’s.
“Go on.”
“Privately, if possible.”
Jake Sully dismissed his comrades with a hand gesture. They all exited the tent without questioning. Authority radiated off his father. A thing he admired about him. He often wished to be more like his father - a true leader with no fear.
“I-I want to apologize for yesterday. I was creating some stupid war plan in my head and I thought it sounded smart but after saying it out loud, it lost all sense. I should have-” He was quickly cut off by his father.
“No, you are too quick to blame yourself. You are still learning Neteyam, yes but what you stated previously was quite an idea.” He licked his chapped lips, pausing for a moment “I talked with the other warriors about it. Perhaps you were right about their lack of ground force. What I am saying is that we’ll try out your plan. With that you need to know that you and some of my men will be the only spotters.”
The boy’s yellow eyes widened at the thought. Recognised by Jake, validated. He was proud of himself. The embarrassment he had felt was draining from him but then he remembered. ‘What about Syay?’ His mind raced.
“Father, Syay told me she will be coming with us. She will be with me, a spotter, right?” He leaned over the table with his hands on the edge. The size of the wooden surface seemed to shorten as his father remained silent.
“Look, Syay’s father will be on the ground and she will be with him. We both know he is capable of keeping his own daughter safe so you shouldn’t worry.” Neteyam did the opposite. He began to worry. Even if the best known soldier to Pandora was with his beloved, he would still fear for her wellbeing. He needed her to be next to him, eyes to be locked on her. The boy was painfully aware that on the ground death was promised and mercy was granted to the strongest.
“I want her with me. Switch her with one of your men, the sky is safer and you can easily dodge bullets. I can’t allow her to get hurt. Please understand me, Sir.”
Jake Sully shook his head. Contemplating whether his decision will be fatal later on. He knew his son was responsible but still a child.
“It will be for the best this way. It’s too late to change plans.” Jake spoke and hoped his boy would accept this and move on.
“Sir, I can protect her, she'll be better off with me.”
“No.”
“I won’t let her out of my sight!” The young na’vi was beginning to bargain. Desperate to be with his Syay.
“Neteyam.”
“Father, please…” There was a pregnant pause.
“A-a-a-h, you must take full responsibility. No playing around, understand me?”
“Yes, Sir. Thank you, Sir!” Neteyam let out a small sigh of relief, a breath that was caught up in him from the first steps he took into the tent.
“Now get outta my face.” With that the child warrior left the tent almost too quickly and eagerly.
Ikrans soar through the sky as their riders inspect the air nervously. Before take off all na’vi gathered listening to the words spoken from their mighty Olo’eyktan. His words were like a soothing song to the mothers, wives and children. The ones afraid their family would not return this moon. Neytiri, Jake’s mate and Neteyam’s mother was there, standing close, cradling her youngest in her arms. Prior to going on raids she felt the need to ease her children, hold them close to herself as if they were to perish. She was never too scared of a war, she knew the necessity of it and the sacrifices to be made but as her children grew they joined the war. Their safety was at risk and that is when the fear blossomed within her.
Neytiri’s gaze fell on Neteyam. Many said he inherited the strong features of his mother. The eyes, the nose, the lips all resembled her’s, but she could only see Jake in her son. He had a face stoic but gentle and pure as Jake’s. Her eyes quickly moved to the ikran’s rider gliding next to the young boy. Syay, a girl tough for her age. She was a talented warrior, her bow like an extension of her arm. She never was the type to mess around the other young na’vi girls, to weave baskets with them, to make bracelets together, to even gossip. But this was not looked down upon as her hunting skills out maneuvered the need of acquiring other expertises. Once, Neytiri tried to teach the child how to thread a piece of clothing but soon she understood it was impossible. The child couldn’t even slide a bead on the thread without it disappearing in the ground. Too sloppy with her hands to make a simple cloth but skilled enough with the knife to kill in seconds. ‘Such a strange thing.’ Neytiri would often think.
Before her thoughts could wander any further Jake’s voice boomed through her ear piece. The noise piercing her ear drums.
“We are approaching the target. Be ready.”
Bullets hit their target, fire spread on the ground, na’vi screamed and cheered. If a painter had the chance to portray the scene that absorbed the battle ground, it would have been a grotesque depiction of the colour red, splashed all over the canvas. Another shipment vehicle had been taken down. Quickly, the soldiers started searching through the containers with the intention of finding valuable weapons. In spite of that, a thud of empty boxes could be heard. It didn’t even take long for Jake Sully to realize that he had been tricked. He took the bait. Shock was what he felt, which was swiftly outlived as many dark and gruesome thoughts absorbed his consciousness. Depictions of everything in their plan going wrong.
“Sawtute!” Humans.
Jake cursed under his breath. He looked around and saw all the combatants looking in his direction, ready to take action, to listen to his command. At once it went silent. A painful silence. And so he began to scream and yell. But he couldn’t hear his own voice. Deafening ring went all around the plaine. The humans have begun their maschere. Their firearms pierced the air and then the flesh of the na’vi.
“Fall back!” The Olo’eyktan yelled. Some soldiers ran, others shot at the helicopters soaring in the wind. Several fell and the other remained. He, himself, fought however he could, but their opponents were too strong. The fight wasn’t fair and they were greatly outnumbered. An ignoble fight, a bloody and messy war.
“Dad!” Neteyam called though the throat mic distressed.
“Are you okay, son?” A premonition came over Jake.
“Dad, I don’t know w-what happened. I-I was on the ground with Syay, she-“ Neteyam’s voice broke and a pained cry erupted from his throat. “She wanted to help her dad with the cargo and-“ Jake’s patience was thin.
“What happened?!” The Oly’ektan screamed.
“Syay is dead, dad!”
The silence. Present again. A helicopter crashed 10 metres away from Jake Sully. But the silence continued. Neteyam shook with every breath he took. Stream of tears and snot went down his chin onto the burning ground, as he held his soon-to-be mate. He held her tightly, close to his chest. The hot blood that stained his skin and clothes didn’t bother him. He thought that if he held her for long enough she would come back to life, and her chest would start to rise and fall. But she was still, awfully still. The young boy wailed, unable to accept the inevitable. ‘At least her father was next to her. At least in her final moments she was next to the people she loves.’ He thought. Lucky.
With eyes red and hands trembling, Neteyam was found embracing Syay by his father. The battle was ongoing around them, but it didn’t seem as if the boy cared.
“Let me see you.” His father ordered him. The boy-soldier looked at his father with desperation. Jake brought his hands to touch his son’s scraped face and then observed his body for any fatal injuries. Relieved, the man then turned his attention towards Syay who laid next to his son. A sense of bitterness went through him as many memories of the sweet girl were brought back into his mind.
“Your mother will be here soon, she’ll take you home.”
“But-“ Neteyam didn’t want to leave his precious girl, however war comes with its many sacrifices and heartbreaks.
“Learn to be silent.” His voice was sharp. Neytiri soon landed with her ikran.
The following hours after the battle ended, the usually turquoise sky was gray. The na’vi mourned and grieved their losses. After Neteyam’s family understood of the death of his ‘soon-to-be’ mate and her father, they were all devastated. Misery loomed over them because of the major loss. However they couldn’t sulk for days to no end, because they had duties - the people were waiting for them.
Months went by, the funerals passed. Neteyam still blamed himself for everything that went on during the infamous battle. He continued to think that if he were more assertive and stern, he and Syay wouldn’t have gone to the ground where all hell broke loose. He thought that maybe… he should have been the one shot. Neteyam couldn’t sleep for days without having nightmares. Food for him seemed almost unpleasant. He was carrying the burden of death with himself. …But as many say, time heals. The said words would often cross his mind, a simple reminder that life continues. Thus, he devoted himself to work. Every chance he received, he would occupy his time with chores and training, no time for rest as it brough unwanted thoughts. The Omatikaya clan was looking up to him as the next Olo’eyktan in line and the expectations were high.
Five years later…
The Sullys had to take a leave. They had to depart from their people, their clan. The RDA hadn’t backed down and only grew stronger with time. Recently, Colonel Quarich came back from the dead in search of his target - Jake Sully. Not long ago, Neteyam’s siblings were under grave danger when they were captured by the dream walkers. In result, Jake took the hard decision of leaving their home for the good of the people and themselves. He was soon stripped of his title of Olo’eyktan and there was no turning back. The younger Sullys were distraught by the unexpected news, but it wasn't up to them to decide, so their pleas and bargains didn’t affect anything. Neteyam, already an adult, 20 years of age, was rather objective about the choice as he understood the vital nature of the resolution and he didn’t say a word.

can u make a enemies to lovers with neteyam or jake? x fem!reader? xx!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Gifs not mine)
Pairing: Jake Sully/fem!reader
Summary: Y/n doesn't like being outranked by Corporal Jake Sully, and Jake doesn't like Corporal Y/n's attitude. This rivalry eventually stretches past their human existence.
Warnings: Military attitude, one-way thinking, implied brutal death, enemies to tolerated allies to lovers, alien prejudice/racism? (that one's a little tough to word I guess), swearing, etc.
Word Count: 2k+
A/N: Thank you for your patience, and sorry it took so long!
Also, Jake and Neytiri don't end up getting together and having kids in this one. I couldn't bear to do my Mama dirty like that.
~~~~~~~~~
Corporal Y/n L/n was many things. Tough, capable, determined, and loyal. The RDA was lucky to have her... at least that's what she tells people. No task was impossible and no mission was too dangerous. Y/n followed her orders down to a tee, so you could imagine the anger she felt when her loyalty was shoved aside in exchange for wheelchair-bound Corporal Jake Sully.
There's no such thing as an ex-marine, and yet Y/n has never met the next closest thing until she met Jake. Honorably discharged after the loss of his legs in Venezuela, Jake was only in Pandora for the sake of the RDA not having to waste millions of dollars on an avatar whose rider, Jake's twin, is dead. Technically, Jake shouldn't have been mingling with the war dogs at Hell's Gate and should've stuck to the scientists. But Selfridge and Quaritch had other plans and had asked Jake to go undercover as their eyes and ears among the Na'vi.
Y/n didn't think Jake deserved all the credit he had been given after he managed to insert himself with the Omatikaya, and she voiced her opinion to him, "What'd you have to do? Bat your cat eyes at them?"
Jake knew when he was being mocked, clenching his jaw and narrowing his eyes back at her, "They accepted me after I told them I was a warrior from a neighboring clan."
"Seriously? What clan?"
He had the gall to look bashful in front of her, the tips of his ears turning pink while muttering under his breath, "The Jarhead Clan?"
She laughed in disbelief and likely disgust, "Are you kidding me? 'They fell for that? If it's that easy, maybe Quaritch doesn't need you after all. I bet we could just walk in there claiming we're all from the Jarhead Clan."
"They're smarter than they look, and I don't see you volunteering yourself to communicate with them." The marine sassed back, his attitude getting the better of him.
"They're not worth my time," Y/n shrugged, nonchalantly, "They're clearly not smart enough to handle me if they ate up your punk ass lies."
"You don't exactly have anything better to do. Other than complaining, I guess."
She snaps her attention back to the man in the wheelchair, eyes glaring into his soul. It wasn't every day someone had the guts to match Y/n's cold exterior, and she didn't appreciate being badmouthed by the rookie who just got a lucky shot of working the same rank as her, "Watch yourself, Sully."
He smiled, the bastard, turning his chair in the direction he wanted to go, wheeling away, "I gotta head out. Unlike some folk, I actually have a mission to accomplish."
~~~
The scientists were moving out. Apparently, Dr. Augustine was spooked at the idea of Parker breathing down the neck of her operation so she's bringing her avatar team up to Site 26 in the mountains, Sully included.
Y/n was strutting down the hall and happened to catch Jake after he left the control room to let Quaritch know what was going on. She noticed a suspicious-looking smile on the marine's face and something didn't sit right with her at the sight of it. Without much thought, she held her foot out and it abruptly stops the wheelchair in its tracks. Jake peered up at her, his smile quickly fading when he realized who it was, his jaw tightening.
"You're smiling." She stated her observation out loud, gracing him with a frown to match, "It's not a good look, much less a normal look for you. Just remember whose side you're on, Sully."
How could she have possibly known what he might be thinking? She couldn't have known he was smiling at the thought of getting away, wanting to forget all about this place in exchange for seeing this world through the eyes of Neytiri.
No. There's no way she could know that. As suspicious as Y/n was, she was blind to everything Jake has experienced out there. He leans close, staring up at her with those hard, daring eyes, "I do. My side."
~~~
It bothered Y/n to learn Jake had betrayed them. Did she expect it? Obviously. So it bothered her all the more that she expected it. She could have prevented this by stopping Jake from leaving or reporting him to Quaritch, so why did she let him go?
She decides that she can fix this mistake by helping blow up Hometree and further help in the battle waiting for them in the Hallelujah Mountains.
Did she feel regret watching the magnificent tree crash down, likely killing hundreds of Na'vi in the process? Only for a moment, her mindset now on her orders to return back to Hell's Gate. Best foot forward, she manned the gun as they flew to the Tree of Souls, only to be ambushed by the Na'vi, astride direhorses, and ikran. Y/n didn't feel regret gunning down as many as she could after watching the bastards kill her friends and acquaintances, people she worked with for years and formed bonds with living on a moon so far away from home.
She was thrown from her gunship, however, before she could fully enact her revenge. As she fell to her death, she watched the battle going on above her. She watched her gunship being tossed around by the devil itself, the Great Leonopteryx, larger than any ikran she had ever seen. The beast and its rider, Toruk Makto himself, smashed Y/n's gunship against the side of one of the floating mountains, and she's forced to watch it explode in debris and flame. Her heart drops, however, when the blades of the ship came spiraling through the air and toward her falling form.
That was the last thing she remembered before everything went black.
~~~
FIFTEEN YEARS LATER...
Instead of black, she's blinded by an overly bright hospital light. Only, Y/n wasn't in a hospital and she felt like she was lying on top of a stainless steel dissection table. Disorientated and sore, Y/n focused on the voice of the doctors (were they doctors?) surrounding her field of vision. They instruct her to take it easy and flex her fingers. When she lifts her hand to do so, she's suddenly wide awake and self-aware.
Her hand was blue.
~~~
Following her resurrection came the other Recoms of Project Phoenix. Z-Dog and Wainfleet were next, then Ja, Brown, Fike, Lopez, Prager, Walker, Warren, Mansk, and Zhang. Most of them she knew back at Hell's Gate, or at the very least was acquainted with them. Finally, Quaritch came to and Y/n couldn't lie how entertaining it was to watch the colonel wake up and immediately kick in his fight or flight mode. It didn't help that Lyle thought it would be a great idea to greet Quaritch with his new ugly avatar mug. Later on, Wainfleet admitted that he already forgot about his new body and didn't think how the colonel would react, and in response, Y/n laughed and called him an idiot.
~~~
Their temporary resurrection and reunion were cut short when they arrived back on Pandora. Quaritch gets them to work immediately after receiving his orders from Ardmore and the Recoms are sent out into the wild to test out and see if the moon would react to their presence. So far, they hadn't triggered any immune response. No animal attacked them and the plant life kept still. The new and improved avatars track down the old shack where Quaritch breathed his last breaths, locating his remains and extracting the old footage from the AMP suit.
What they didn't expect to find there was a human boy, running around, acting like one of the Na'vi, apart from his breathing mask and exo-pack. He was about sixteen and clearly someone who had been left behind in the initial evacuation when the humans were driven off Pandora. When they captured him, he introduced himself as Spider Socorro, none other than Paz and Quaritch's son. But Spider wasn't very adamant at the idea of the colonel standing over him being his sperm donor.
"You're not my father! My Dad is Toruk Makto! He's on his way to save me! He knows I'm here, and he's going to kill every single one of you!"
That bit of information only enraged Quaritch even further, and Y/n couldn't exactly blame him. First, Jake betrayed his own kind, killed many humans, forced them to go home with tails tucked between their legs, and now he's raised Quaritch's son up and brainwashed him to be an animal.
The Recoms take Spider's threat to heart and secure him, keeping him tied up in the center of their circle as they wait for Ardmore to come and pick them up. It was dark and it had started to rain. They kept their backs to each other and kept their eyes peeled on the jungle line. And yet, they never saw him coming.
It was all a blur. Due to the darkness and the rain, Y/n was one second too late to realize that she had been separated from the group as the Recoms were getting picked off, one by one. There was the familiar sound of a grenade launcher being triggered before Y/n had the time to dive down and cover herself to the best of her ability. The explosion goes off somewhere nearby and her ears begin to ring, debris of dirt sprinkling down on top of her. The shouts from her team slowly die away, following the sound of Ardmore's ship picking them up. She tries catching her breath, her mind not yet realizing what had happened just as hands began to grab at her shoulders, her instincts driving her to fight or flight mode.
She kicks them away and scrambles to put a distance between herself and the stranger, lifting her AR in her arms and pointing in their direction. In front of her stood a tall Na'vi man, only he had the traits of an avatar-- a very familiar avatar.
The snarl she let out wasn't as human as she was used to. It was more feral and she tried not to let it surprise her, "Shit. Sully."
Jake Sully's eyebrows furrow at the voice, eyes frantically scanning her form. Definitely an avatar but dressed in camo and currently pointing an AR at his face. The voice sounded strangely familiar, but it wasn't until he noticed the name patch on her bulletproof vest did his eyes widen in recognition. He peered back up at her eyes, tilting his head, "L/n?"
She cursed again, rage pooling through her eyes as she gnashed her sharp teeth at him, "Traitor!"
Y/n goes to pull the trigger, but something from behind had clubbed her in the crook of her leg, forcing the limb to give in and collapse against her will. She shouts and the trigger slips, the gunfire missing Jake by an inch as he barrels forward when the moment of opportunity strikes. He wrestles the rifle out of Y/n's hands and pushes her to the ground, using the orange slap-cuffs she possessed and using them against her, restraining her hands behind her back. Y/n snarls and hisses like a wild animal caught in a trap, her ears and tail lashing violently as she's forced face down into the mud, the whole front side of her wet and cold with the rainfall still pouring like nobody's business. With her head tilted off to the side, she realized her attacker was none other than Spider with a large branch still heavy in his hands. With his captive secure, Jake stood up and stepped toward the human boy, kneeling down to meet his height and checking him over for injuries or cracks in his mask.
"You alright, kiddo?"
"Yeah," Spider breathes, smiling faintly when Jake gently knocks his knuckles against the glass of his mask affectionately.
"Good. Let's get you home. Your sister's probably worried sick."
That was news to Y/n. From what she understood, Quaritch and Paz only had Spider, unless the colonel was getting around. Looking back, Paz could have cozied up to others, but from the few encounters Y/n had with her, she didn't seem like the type. Socorro was high maintenance.
Still left on the cold, wet ground, Y/n continued to struggle until Sully remembered that she was there, and the bastard had the gall to smile down at her while patting Spider's shoulder proudly, "Well, son... not bad for your first catch."
"Go to Hell!" She screeched back. This had gotta be the worst night of her life.

Ma Miles - Ch. 1
Tumblr media
1.4k words
Masterpost | Chapter 2
Looking up at the bright sunny skies, you thanked the Great Mother for the peace that now lay over your new home. It had been so difficult leaving the Hometree behind, watching it burn and scream for help that could not be given by any of you. You had done what you could for the wounded, helped send the dead back to Eywa and when the dust settled, Jake Sully - Toruk Makto - emerged with Neytiri as the new leader of the Omaticaya clan. When they welcomed their first child, however, everything changed for the better. Neteyamur had been such a well-behaved child, so calm, so kind. The wise women of your clan often liked to comment on how Eywa had blessed the young boy, and how she flowed through his veins. They made a beautiful family, the boy bringing Neytiri joy in every sense of the word.
Your lives were finally getting back to a semblance of what it once had been. Although the RDA still built their machines, mining away where your Hometree once stood, a relative peace had wrapped itself over your new home. Jake was a good leader to the Omaticaya, bringing victory and pride to your clan when the sky people tried to get closer. The few sky people that were left, guarded by the dreamwalkers, helped in every way possible while doing their peaceful research in tune with Eywa. How they could be the same species was beyond you.
With no great value to your clan, you were - among others - tasked with helping the sky people and their dreamwalkers to the best of your ability. The small people were kind, although…different than what you had pictured them to be. Most were just in awe over the Great Mother’s abilities, registering her energies, and noting how everything connected, content to do their work to better understand the blessing that Pandora had received for Eywa. The dreamwalkers tried their best to rectify what their sky people had done to the Great Mother, working hard to rebuild and mend what was broken.
But among those who stayed, a small child was left, orphaned by the tragedies of war. His mother killed in the assault on the Tree of Souls, and his father… the very demon who led the assault - Colonel Miles Quaritch. Born before Neteyam, Miles Socorro was too young to undergo the journey back to his home, although you had always argued that Pandora was his home. Eywa had granted him life, had welcomed the little boy to grow among her children, and so he did. Enamored with the little, odd child you were never far from each other and when the sky people who took him in gave up, you were the only constant left in his life.
With the nickname Spider, he grew to be a big boy full of joy and curiosity for Eywa and her children. And although you were alerted when he first started calling you mom, the title brought nothing but love and adoration now, something the young boy knew to exploit whenever Lo’ak managed to drag him into trouble. You never stopped worrying when he wasn’t around, but your son was all too quickly growing into an adult. Letting go was a part of motherhood and one you would have to accept to let your son find his own path along Eywa. Luckily he was attached at the hip to Kiri, the brightest of the Sully children. She would always manage to talk sense to him, even if Lo’ak tried his hardest to persuade him otherwise.
Chuckling to yourself, you bent to collect the last of the dew drops from a floating rock. Although your work wasn’t considered important, you liked helping the sky people collect their samples which in turn made them wonder in awe of the Great Mother’s reach. Getting back on your Ikran, you lazily flew back to the campsite, taking the time to caress his long neck, smiling to yourself as he purred loudly.
But before you could walk into the research area to deliver your work, you were stopped dead in your tracks. The moment you saw Jake Sully you knew that something was wrong. He looked worried, tired, and bruised.
“Jake?” You ask carefully, your ears lowering nervously.
When Neytiri walks up behind him, avoiding eye contact with you, your heart starts beating loudly in your chest. Something was very wrong for the both of them to come to find you while you worked.
“Where’s Spider?” Your voice doesn’t sound right to your own ears, the tone wrong.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry,” Jake starts and Neytiri finally looks you in the eyes.
“The children were playing down at the old shack when Lo’ak called me,” Jake starts, his own ears folding backward as his throat struggles to swallow, “A group of RDA avatars - recombinants - were there and they were caught,”
“What are you saying, Toruk Makto?” You ask gently, your ears lifting hopefully.
“When we arrived, they were waiting for us and a battle began. In the chaos, we got separated, and… Y/n, they took Spider,” You can hear Jake Sully’s words, you can understand what he’s saying, but at the same time, nothing makes sense to you.
“The children…” You mumble, not sure what to say as you let it all sink in.
“Kiri, Lo’ak, and Tuk are safe,” Jake offers gently before continuing, “Spider is a tough kid, Y/n, he will be alright,”
Snapping your eyes to your Toruk Makto, you narrow them dangerously as your tail whips furiously behind you. ‘He would be alright,’ My son is out there, alone, and he will be alright. The anger you feel is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before and it’s directed at the clan leaders. You haven’t noticed the crowd slowly gathering around you, nor heard their whispers as you try to make sense of everything. Your Ikran screams somewhere behind you, but you can’t turn your eyes away from the couple in front of you.
“You left my son to be taken,” The sheer venom that filters through your hiss tastes vile as you growl them.
“We tried to save him, Y/n, but in the chaos, he got away from us,” Jake tries, he really does, but the words sound hollow to your bleeding heart.
“You are Toruk Makto, you are supposed to protect your people, our children,” You scream at him, your voice so loud it makes your own ears ring uncomfortably.
“He is not of us,” Neytiri hisses back, ears flat as she protects her mate, hissing angrily when Jake hums disapprovingly at her.
"You do not speak of him like that," You hiss dangerously as you point to Neytiri, "You have always thought him unworthy because of who his father is, but he is a child of Eywa - my child, and you just left him to be taken,"
Neytiri doesn’t have anything to say to that, her mate trying to calm her down as he gently holds her arm. You can’t stand to hear their excuses any longer. Your son needs you and he’s out there alone somewhere. Turning away from your clan leaders, you quickly make your way to your home, not turning when Jake runs after you, weak protests falling from his lips. He doesn’t dare to enter your home, however, silently standing on the outside, watching as you gather a few essentials, Spider’s songcord, and your weapon.
“Who?” You sneer at him before passing on your way back to your waiting Ikran.
“Y/n, I don’t think that -”
“Who!?” You shout this time, snapping your head around to level your Toruk Makto with the darkest glare you have in you.
“Colonel Miles Quaritch, Spider’s father. He's back to life as a recombinant Na’vi…”
Freezing at the words you just heard, it takes a moment for your body to let go of the immediate fear you’re experiencing. You never thought you would hear that name like this. One day, you had prepared yourself to have the talk with Spider about who his father really was, but Spider never asked and you never offered more than everyone already knew. Hearing that the demon from the skies was back to life, and in a Na’vi body nonetheless, made something sink deep inside of you.
At least you knew where to look now.

This a concept im exploring for a new Neteyam x reader series I’m working on called ‘Virago.’
A story about a warrior!reader X neteyam who’s been raised with a ‘I don’t need anyone but myself’ mindset.
The story follows the path of Neteyam and the reader finding sanctuary within eachother and the reader trusting neteyam to protect her even from battles that aren’t his to fight.
I love the idea of projecting some of Jake and Neytiri’s live story elements into Neteyam x Reader works.
As I’m writing this, something came to me that I think should be shared 🤷🏽‍♀️
Before anyone comes for me, I just wanna say I love Jeytiri with a passion.
Don’t get me wrong. Jake and neytiri raised this fandom. The og’s fr. I’m telling my kids and my grandkids about them. They are my favorite love story.
A man who leaves his entire planet for the woman he loves?
Ugh. We all need a Jake.
…BUT
What if In the next avatar movie Neytiri can’t find herself to forgive Jake?
Not to the point where it forms a void between them to a point of resentment, but in a general sense of starting to loose some trust in him?
The RDA returning is in no way, shape or form Jake’s fault, and neither is Neteyam’s death.
But Neytiri entrusted Jake and held him to his promises when he vowed to protect their children, and a good 70% of that movie were the kids being kidnapped, bullied, kidnapped, threatened, tied up, abducted, and just generally traumatized because of someone from Jake’s past life.
Jake sully is a character who is haunted by his own shadow.
According to the visual dictionary,
“Jake is tempered by his concerns for his family and the guilt he feels for the lives he lost all those years ago.”
Truly a tragic character in his own rite.
He can never seem to escape this shadow of who he used to be.
Quite literally being hunted down by a former enemy.
But let’s discuss Neytiri for a moment.
A woman of the forest, fierce and beautiful. Loyal to her people and her culture.
She will never truly understand every aspect of the repercussions of Jake’s actions.
Why? Because Jake has embraced the motto of ‘the family protector’
Which is a positive feat, of course.
And that he does. Jake proves himself to be a good father and protective of his children 100%.
But Neytiri looks at this side of Jake’s past life through a window.
Not a mirror.
A window of
‘Oh. The sky people are gone. My family is safe’.
And then colonel Scarface 2.0 comes back to fuck her shit up.
Tumblr media
Jake is a good father. May that fact not be lost on us as audience.
I wish sometimes we could see into the tortured mind of Neytiri.
But we can’t. So let’s review some facts.
Where does Jake come from? Earth.
Who did he work for? The RDA.
What does the RDA do? Mine resources and fuck shit up.
Neytiri’s father, sister, ikran, son, a good portion of the fellow na’vi who were apart of the omaticaya in the first movie? Dead.
What do these things have in common?
All their lives were taken by the RDA and the humans.
I’m not usually one to quote myself, but for those of you who have read my fic ‘diaphanous’
“Trust is a fragile thing. And most protect fragile things.”
“It's a cruel joke, really. Disguising something as binding as affection, to cradle someone's heart within the palms of your hands, to build it a home out of glass and shatter it.”
Neytiri trusted Jake.
Jake says to her,
“Look I've got nothing. I got no plan. But I can protect this family, that I can do. But I know one thing. Wherever we go, this family is our fortress.”

From Heartbreak to Harmony: Alternate Ending
Tsu'tey x F!Na'vi!Reader
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the fanart, screenshots, or gifs.
Warnings: Rejection, and fluff. (In this version the RDA learned from the first time they fucked around and found out so they don't return😁)
Original Post
Tumblr media
Even after the war, you couldn't bring yourself to accept Neytiri and Jake after their betrayal. They had gone behind your back and made the bond without you present. It broke your heart that Neytiri would do this to you after you had courted eachother for 4 cycles. At the end of the day, you will be Eywa's voice in the future, and all grudges you hold must be let go. That does not mean that you forgave them for their actions. They still held rank in the clan but none of importance. Tsu'tey resumed his position as Olo'eyktan, even before his wounds healed, and not long after the war, Mo'at made an important decision.
"It is time for the two of you to mate before Eywa." Mo'at says and you bow your head. Tsu'tey places a comforting hand on the small of your back, and looks up with determination on his face.
"I would like to court her properly for a short time before we mate. After she provided such a caring and watchful presence for me during my healing, it is what she is owed. I would like to show her that I deserve to be her mate, as she has shown me that she deserves to be mine." Tsu'tey says and Mo'at gives a small smile.
"This has nothing to do with events that happened before the war?" Mo'at asks him.
"It does but only to an extent. She has been wronged and I want to show her that she can trust me." Tsu'tey says and you smile lightly at him. "I would like to start with this." Tsu'tey takes a necklace resembling his own from his bag and presents it to you. It's green in color and you smile at the gesture he had prepared for this specific conversation.
"Thank you Tsu'tey. It is beautiful." You say quietly and turn your back so he can put it around your neck. He does and once it's sitting in its rightful place you run your fingers over it gently. "I did not prepare anything for you." You say sadly and he takes your hand in his.
"Your consistent presence for my healing process was gift enough." Tsu'tey says and you frown more.
"As tsakarem, it is my duty to stand by your side." You say and decide you will prepare a proper courting gift for him.
"It is decided, and I give you the time of 60 eclipses to court before you mate." Mo'at says and leaves the two of you be. That conversation began the long arduous task of creating an intricately designed bow, fitting for an Olo'eyktan. For you, it didn't matter if he used it just that he liked it. However, you weren't going to go in blind. So you recruited his parents to help you come up with the design, and his mother especially was excited for your upcoming mating. You spent many early mornings and many late nights in their kelku as you carved him a new bow from the wood of the new Hometree. The first to be created with it, and it's fitting that it will go to the Olo'eyktan. The design resembled Eytukan's bow, but you carved three feather-like prongs from each end. When you got close to finishing it you frowned as you looked over it. You had been working on this bow for weeks, as you and Tsu'tey went on walks, and flights, ate meals together, and prayed together. So you felt something was missing from this design since you felt more for Tsu'tey than friendship now.
"Something is missing." You tell his mother who looks over at the bow.
"It is beautiful, and he will love it ma'ite." She says but you naw on your lip in thought.
"What if I add a natural glow to it?" You ask her and she becomes interested. "I can go gather some algae and moss and grind it into a paste so I can paint it to accentuate it."
"I like this idea. And you still have plenty of daylight to gather it today." She says and you nod and put the bow back in its hiding place in their home. You make your way out and start to gather as much moss and algae as you can find. However, you're approached by the two people you have not been interested in seeing for a while now.
"(Y/n) can we talk to you please?" Neytiri asks and gesture for her to continue talking as you go about your task.
"We wanted to apologize again and to ask you to join our mating." Jake says and you look up from the moss you just placed in a bowl.
"I do not hear this apology you both speak of frequently." You said and Jake looked like he'd been slapped.
"We're very sorry and we regret not waiting longer to pursue mating." Jake says and you wade into waist deep water with the bowl in hand.
"Yet you do not regret mating with each other?" You ask and Neytiri looks guilty.
"I'm sorry (Y/n). If I had known he was who you wanted to suggest as our third I would have waited." Neytiri says and you scoff.
"The Great Mother speaks to those who listen, yet you remain closed off to her mostly. For this, it will be your downfall and I will not accept your offer. I need a mate who understands my connection to the Great Mother and embraces it as I do." You say with finality. "I am busy so please leave me be." Jake and Neytiri sulk away and you continue your task. You get back onto the shoreline of the river and find a rock to grind the moss and algae into paste. You sneak back to Tsu'tey's parents kelku as best as you can with the bowl in your hands. When you enter Tsu'tey is standing there talking to his parents.
"Have you seen her today? I wanted to ask her to join me for a hunt." Tsu'tey says and his mothers eyes cast to you.
"Ah there you are (Y/n). Thank you for gathering this for me, you're such a sweet and caring tsakarem." His mother says as she takes the bowl from your hands and Tsu'tey relaxes when he sees you.
"You made glowing paste? For what?" Tsu'tey asks his mother and she waves her hand nonchalantly.
"We have been working on crafts for a few days and we wanted to add something special to them." His mother says and Tsu'tey seems to accept this and moves to your side.
"I wanted to know if you would not mind joining me for a hunt?" Tsu'tey asks and you smile. It had been a long time since someone had offered to take you hunting.
"I want to warn you I might not be the best hunter anymore." You tell him and he scoffs.
"You have been hunting since we were children. I do not believe that you will be bad at it now." Tsu'tey says.
"I would like to know when you would like to go hunting. I was just going to finish this project with your mother." You tell him and he nods.
"Would tonight be alright?" Tsu'tey asks.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you for inviting me." You tell him and he bows his head and then leaves. When you're sure he's out of earshot his mother becomes giddy.
"You can present him with your gift before you go hunting." She says excitedly. "It will be dry by then." You get the bow from its hiding place and you got to work. The paste was blue when in the light, but the light would give it the energy to glow at night. When you finished painting the accents around the edges you set it on Ateyo's bow stand with his permission. Both of his parents looked over the design with happy smiles and Artsut(his mother) set her hand on your shoulder.
"You will be a good mate for our son, as he will be a good mate for you." Artsut says and Ateyo nods.
"Artsut will ensure that. There will be none of the same nonsense that Neytiri pulled on you." Ateyo says and your ears pinned back at the thought of your former courtship partner.
"She and Jake followed me into the forest this morning. They tried to convince me to bond with them but I rejected their advances." You tell them and Ateyo makes a face of disgust while Artsut just clicks her tongue in disappointment.
"Let us not think of them and allow us to enjoy a late second meal." Artsut says and starts to cook some meat while you cut the fruit.
You spent the remainder of the early afternoon with Tsu'tey's parents talking, eating, and waiting. To say his parents were excited was an understatement. They were ready to be grandparents and had been since he was originally promised to Sylwanin. They knew the love he held for her and refused to force him into mating with someone else. This was why they were so happy when he willingly accepted being promised to you. Though it made you wonder if he only agreed because he pitied you, so you left your worries unheard as you went back to your kelku. The bow was hard to keep out of the eyes of The People since they were watching you and Tsu'tey form a bond. Tsu'tey stopped by your home before you left for the hunt, and you smiled at him when you saw him.
"Come in Tsu'tey." You offered and he fully came into your home. "I have a question for you before we go." His ears perked forward in interest and you knelt on the ground and he followed suit.
"Is everything alright?" He asks and you exhale a weary breath.
"This morning Neytiri and Jake followed me into the forest and tried to get me to mate with them, but I rejected them. But I want to know if you were willing to be promised to me if you pitied me." You said and he frowned.
"No. I may have lost my first love as she was returned to the Great Mother, but I have always felt close to you in some way. You were a safe space where I was allowed to seek comfort without being judged after Sylwanin's death. Because you were happily promised to Neytiri I never wanted to show my interest in being your third mate. It would have been expected of me to also provide Neytiri with children, but she reminds me too much of Sylwanin. You are different. Where Neytiri and Sylwanin were headstrong and willing to fight, you are spiritually strong and constantly finding new things to learn to help heal people comfortably. For that I admire you." Tsu'tey says and you wiped your eyes from the gathered tears.
"I do not expect you to love me as you did Sylwanin. Your bond was created by the Great Mother herself, but I thank you for trying to create a bond between us." You tell him and he reaches over to you taking one of your hands in his while his other hand gently rid your cheeks of the running tears.
"You are beautiful, strong, independent, and very smart." He says and you take a deep breath to stop your emotions from taking the form of happy tears. "But I would be a fool not to love you." And just like that you were crying and he was holding you. Allowing you to release your pent-up emotions. After a few moments, you calmed down and stood up.
"Before we go hunting I have a gift for you." You tell him and grab the bow. You present it to him and his eyes held shock as he gently took the bow from your hands.
"Is this the crafts you were working on with my mother?" He asks and you nod.
"It is my courting gift to you." You tell him and he seems genuinely touched by your gift.
"It is beautiful, yawne. Thank you." He says with a hand gently taking yours in his. At that moment something snapped into place for the both of you.
"I am ready to mate with you, yawntu." You whisper and his features soften even more. He puts his arrows on his new bow and puts it on his back. He helps you up from your seated position and you become confused.
"Where are we going?" You ask him and he smiles st you.
"We're going to the Tree of Souls so that we can mate before Eywa." Tsu'tey says and you happily follow him to your ikrans. Flying through the night with your soon-to-be mate was freeing. Knowing it wasn't just duty for the both of you felt very good. When you landed and approached the tree he offered his hand to balance you while you went up the raised roots. You both knelt infront of the tree and offered your tswins to eachother. As they embraced you were bombarded by feelings and thoughts that were yours and his. You felt his past heartache, his admiration for you, and his newfound love he held for you. In turn, he felt your former heartbreak, your recently discarded insecurities, and your love for him. The atmosphere quickly turned intimate and you consummated your bond that night.
When you returned the next morning came and you both returned smiling and holding hands, Mo'at gave you a knowing look. During first meal she announced your and Tsu'tey's recent mating. Neytiri and Jake deflated when the news was delivered but picked themselves up and moved on.
You discovered you were with child when you started showing the symptoms. Morning sickness, strange cravings, and lastly your breasts became tender. You strode off in search of Tsu'tey and found him speaking with Takuk and Jake about the next day's hunt. You waited until you believed the conversation was done and you gently set your hand on Tsu'tey's arm.
"Ma'yawntu." You say and he turns his attention to you.
"Is everything alright yawne?" Tsu'tey says and Jake crosses his arms with an annoyed look on his face.
"Everything is alright. I come baring news." You tell him and his ears perk forward. "I'm with child." Tsu'tey and Takuk reacted with happiness and excitement while Jake's arms fell limp and his face dropped in shock. A celebration was held for the conception of your child the next night.
As days dragged into months you birthed your first son, who you named Tsayet te Rengola Tsu'tey'itan. One child turned into two, and two years later when you brought Atseya te Rengola (Y/n)'ite, your daughter, to the world. A year later it became four when you adopted Spider and he was gifted the name Spider te Rengola Tsu'tey'itan. The same year you welcomed your second daughter Kitvea te Rengola (Y/n)'ite into your family. Tsu'tey and Spider got along surprisingly well given Spider's origins, but Tsu'tey only saw Spider as his own person. He did not see the tie he held to his birth father but as Spider got older he spoke with Norm about the possibility of Spider getting his own avatar. He wanted his son to beable to appreciate the world around him the way all Na'vi do. When Spider was 15 cycles he got an avatar and he passed through the eye of Eywa and returned to his permanent body.
He then sat as the eldest of your children but did not want to take the title of Olo'eyktan of your firstborn son. But Tsyet protested and asked Spider to train alongside him to give him the same opportunity he was given.
Mo'at passed away peacefully in her sleep during the 18th cycle of peace and the title of Tsahík was passed to you. Naturally you had been training your daughter to be tsakarem for this day, but she was more of a hunter than she was a healer. So you allowed her to choose if she wanted to continue her training or if she wanted to become a hunter. She chose to become a hunter and now your eyes turned to the potential mates of your eldest sons. You realized early on the connection Spider held with Kiri, Jake and Neytiri's eldest daughter. While Tsyet had set his sights on Ninat's daughter, and her only daughter out of 6 children. Then it was time to wait for one of them to make a move to start courting.
Inevitably you took both girls under your wing and nurtured both of their connections to Eywa. Though you started noticing Tsyet was drifting more into hunting. Then came the inevitable talk between you and your mate, and your eldest sons. Where Tsyet confessed he did not want to be Olo'eyktan and had seen Spider becoming Na'vi as a sign to pursue his dream of a simple life. Spider originally felt like he pushed his brother away from his birthright, but Tsyet quickly squashed that fear. Once again saying that he had wanted a simple life since he reached 13 cycles. When the time came Tsu'tey announced Spider as the next Olo'eyktan, Tsyet settled into the simple life he wanted with Ninat's daughter, Atseya became one of the clans best hunters, and Kitvea became a healer with Kiri and Ninat's daughter.
Spider and Kiri mated when Spider reached 25 cycles and the clan celebrated for weeks after. As the cycles continued you watched your family flourish and you and Tsu'tey couldn't be more proud of the life you created for your children. The humans never returned and Eywa'eveng was safe and peaceful.
