The funniest part to me about the Bi-Curious TommyInnit coming out is I distinctly remember this one tiktok I saw back in 2021 (or early 2022??) That was like "Bisexual streamers 1!1!1" which included Ranboo, Tubbo and Tommy- to which people told them "Hey maybe let's not speculate on real people's sexualities"

Which obviously is like, very valid and they were right for saying it. (And obviously they were partially wrong with the bi label specifically with Ranboo and Tubbo) And obviously obviously I'm not condoning doing that because it was pretty weird of them to do.

I'm always gonna be pissed off about Sapnap and George being so blatantly uncaring of the time and work their fellow ccs put into their lore and stories that they literally broke into a house neither of their characters should know existed and made a big deal about killing a plot important NPC for "content" even though Ranboo and Tubbo had previously requested that Michael be left alone and one of the server's literal rules was to not do anything that would seriously upset anyone.

First of all, they both know damn well they could sit and stare at a wall onstream and get tens of thousands of viewers. Threatening to kill that piglin was not necessary for them to get content, it was just mean spirited, and the onslaught of people complaining about people getting nervous or upset was so exhausting. It felt like being punished for caring about the characters and story, and Sapnap and George just kept doing shit like this over and over (didn't they release Shroud?) The DSMP's story was cool and needed to be taken seriously when THEY we're a part of it, but if it was anyone else's story, it was lame and stupid and everyone was dumb for caring about a video game mob that much. God it still makes me so mad

Generation loss, a horror comedy show, is an incredible allegory for being a content creator in this day and age. The main characters are all real content creators themselves and are discarded after they have broken from their kid safe molds; directly paralleling the YouTube algorithm and controversy experience. The medium it is produced in also directly ties back into the concept of content creation as it is canonically live with audience ‘interaction’. While some aspects of it do not fit one to one (as it isn’t a metaphor, but an allegory) overall the themes directly translate to one another and the main ideas and struggles of content creation are depicted even while exaggerated. The crucible, on the other hand, is NOT an allegory for McCarthyism at fucking all- in this essay I will-

the whole diamond heist scene with the lasers in gl2 is genuinely the funniest thing i have ever seen in my entire life. vinny so reassuringly saying “throw me” and ranboo and sneeg not even arguing with him just flat out agreeing to lob him across the room. the different shots of them swinging him back and forth to get momentum. the fucking puppet flying through the air. sneeg and ranboo staring off into the distance to watch him soar, the instant cut to them holding each other screaming. vinny hitting the fucking roof???? the elation. the anvil falling sound effect. the looney tunes stare as it falls from the sky. vinny’s final words. the fucking anvil crushing his head in (and the shock that came watching it live and not being able to pause or rewind and see the cut). ranboo making the world’s worst pun. sneeg’s indignant “i’m not throwing you!’. everyone moving on as if it didn’t happen. truly the funniest scene in all written history. i will never recover.

#i think there’s an element to watching it live that really elevated the comedy and the shock #bc it was a complete tonal shift too like all of a sudden it goes from serious problem solving to flying puppets #this like borderline unreality which is so different from the last scene #makes the comedy and change in tone so unexpected and that much funnier #and having no idea an anvil was going to crush vinny and just having it come out of nowhere #and he DIES and the cut is so quick that i didn’t notice it live obviously and so the shock factor is definitely there #i thought we were getting midsommar 2.0 on the ranboolive channel #and then everyone just fucking moving on like it didn’t happen so you barely have time to recover #so much happened in the span of about one minute i had no idea how to react #by far the hardest i’ve laughed i think in all of gen loss so far #fucking genius brilliant fantastic comedy script writing editing production EVERYTHING MWAH #i love this silly little show so much #generation loss #genloss #generation loss spoilers #genloss spoilers #ranboo #tilda rambling
