Hi

I'm obviously late here but happy new year. Sorry for the crickets since I posted Part 1 of Chapter 2. Without getting too personal, I know people don't want that, here's why I've been away:

My mother-in-law is sick and they are pretty certain it's later-stage cancer. We are waiting for the final results but we've been traveling back to England to spend time with my husband's family.

Our lease is ending this month and our landlord isn't renewing so we are moving.

I've recently started taking anti-depressants because I'm struggling with my mental health. I haven't been in a good place for several months. Several things have happened that have really messed me up mentally and I've been in survival mode.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates. Once we get settled from our move (Feb or March time), I will be making some fixes to the current demo as some different issues have been reported over the last couple of months. After that, I will begin work again on completing Chapter 2 and try to be more consistent with at least a monthly update on here.

I'm sorry that I've been flaky over the last year. 2023 was incredibly difficult for me personally and for my family, as I'm sure it was for many others. I am feeling positive about 2024 and I can only say this: I love this game and I am not giving up on it.

~2024 Update

Hello my dear 🍅🌸 friends,

I hope you all had a great 2023 and happy 2024! ✨

It’s been so long - just over a year, I know. 😲 I miss you and being here a lot. I’m still fighting more battles than I can handle, but while fighting them, I realized that I also deserve some small mercies. 🥰

I love reading, I love SS, I love writing, and I love helping you guys, so while I’m not fully back here or active every day like I used to, I’ll start to indulge in small visits here and there. 🥳

I don’t want to create any expectative or promise anything that I can’t deliver, so I created a FAQ page to address common questions, and to outline my plans for sharing content in future interactions.

I tried to be honest with myself as I wrote the page. Essentially, it covers questions about Asks, Reading/Writing, and what I can do online now without overwhelming myself and my life (health/family/work). 🙏😅

🫖 Wu’s Teas: An Update 🫖

Hello, yes I’m still alive!

If you’ve been a long time follower, you’ll know that back in 2017 I started a custom tea line over on Adagio to bring Ninjago fun from the screen to your cup. The collection is called “Ninjago: A Collection From Steeper Wisdom By Brittney D” if you want to search it up. 😉

Well, I accidentally left it be for a while and…

…welp, that happened.

But no need to fret, I’m on the case!

For “Ninja Never Quit” and “Sharp Witted Sensei”, the pomegranate black tea used has been discontinued, so it’ll be replaced with a pomegranate green tea. Thankfully, it shouldn’t effect the taste too much.

For Kai and Jay’s blends, the ginger tea used has been discontinued and replaced with a double ginger blend.

For “Sweet-Toothed Troublemaker”, the sprinkle inclusion is currently out of stock. If you’re waiting for the restock, the site has an option to add you email to a notification list.

These blends should come back online over the week, so stay tuned and thank you for your patience!

Regarding Fanfiction...

Ok so to those of you who also use Fanfiction.net I'm sure you're aware of how buggy its been over the years and how especially bad it's been acting up since the middle of September. Now, I've been writing fanfiction since high school which means one of the main things that's kept me there so long is the familiarity along with liking the overall setup when it comes to posting new chapters. But it's been 13 years now and the site just feels, well, broken...

That's why I've decided to start migrating my work to AO3 too! It's going to be a big change for me since I'm not used to the set up, however, I'm hoping to gain a few new readers who haven't come across my work yet! I'm still planning to upload content on both fanfiction sites but updates might be slower on the AO3 end until I get the hang of everything. Plus I'm going to be leaving a few stories alone that I either plan to touch up later or are on an indefinite hiatus, mostly just the older stuff from my last major hyper-fixation lolz.

So yeah, on AO3 I'm under the name SecretSigil to make things easier on myself since that's my main username on most platforms and my plan is to consolidate my Danny Phantom fanfics in one place instead of two like I've been doing up until now. Might take some time though since I can't import the documents directly but hey, at least I have backups of everything so it shouldn't be too hard to make the move! Wish me luck as I start working on that in the upcoming new year!

Happy new year everyone :D

Just wanted to write a quick update for the IF. I am nearly finished with the remake and chapter 2, the coding is still not done though.

I would have loved to have finished the new demo before 2024, but I’ve been busy trying to find a job during my study.

I’m not worried for the writing of the IF, but more the coding. (i’ve been struggling even with guides and youtube video.) There’s so many things I wanna do in the coding to make it more personalized that will take time to learn to code.

I don’t like giving date for a demo drop, but perhaps this end of January (if everything goes well) or the next end of the month. :)

Hi guys, bet you thought you wouldn't see me again! 

Lol its been a terrible couple of months and I have already written this post at least 3 times but I've never been able to fully get across what is truly going on and how to articulate it.

I'm gonna try to keep it short and to the point however, cause I know some of you all don't really care about theatrics.

 ATOH is still in production. Yes, you heard right, I am still working on it. I am just going through a slump. And it's not necessarily that I am in writer's block. I wish it was writer's block honestly, that would be so much easier to deal with…

 I'm extremely depressed currently, and for a while, I hadn't even known I was depressed! This has truly threw me for a loop yall 🥴🥴. I honestly have no idea when I will be able to fully get myself out of this but I've been trying for a very very long time and it just doesn't seem like it's coming to an end. 

During this time, I've managed to gain some energy to work on edits given to me by beta readers but I cannot say for certain that this project is something I can turn my full attention towards anymor. I'm not putting a ATOH on hiatus because I hate that. And I'd hate to put my game on hiatus for fear that ill completely forget about it. Instead, I'll sayil that production, ie., editing, writing, etc., is going to be extremely slow. The good thing is and I keep saying this over and over is that this new chapter or i should say the new portion of the game is ready for drop. I just need to go ahead and finish adding suggestions but again I just need to gain the energy to do so.

Thank you, everyone who has stood by a trial of horro and it's slow slow production and who has continued to stand Bambi I really appreciate it and you guys are honestly like my light right now if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask send a while for me to respond but I am seeing most of your messages and I do appreciate your guys caring and you're reaching out.

Hey everyone - I do apologize for falling of the face of the earth the last two weeks. We had a pipe burst at home and had to get it repaired and cleaned up. I was hopeful that I would be finished with chapter 2 in July but I never gave a date because I wasn’t sure. I’m still working on it but I was sick and then this happened so it put me behind. No one is more disappointed than me. Now that things are getting back to normal, I will be making regular updates again like I was a couple of weeks ago.

Hello dear friends,

Hope everyone is doing well. 💕

I stopped by to let you all know that I’m alive (haha) and that I miss being here with you. Unfortunately, life circumstances are keeping me away from tumblr, social media, and most (if not all) of my hobbies. 

Within the last six months, I was diagnosed with a few conditions which I briefly mentioned before but I won’t go into detail -- it’s certainly life changing but not threatening if I take care of myself, and I’ve been working on that since then. But on top of that, both Mr. Red Converse and I were laid off recently, within a couple months of each other. The tech layoffs caught up to us it seems. 😭

Anyway, while I’m trying to put my life back together, I just wanted to say hello and that I’m not away because I want to. Hopefully, once this rough patch is past us, I’ll be back with full force, filling your timeline with endless rec lists and new fics to read. 🙏🥰

I’m grateful for everyone that still lurks around my blog and likes my posts - it’s heartwarming to see the notifications, and sometimes it’s what makes my days brighter. (Ugh, I’m sounding so broody and sulky that I’m sure I could write some good angsty fics if I could stop to channel this feeling into a blank page lol).

I had all these plans for kinktober but I got hit with COVID symptoms last Thursday and while it is now starting to fade (as you can see below), it's been 10 days of this nonsense and I'm not really feeling the kink for obvious reasons.

I'm not sure if I'll manage anything but I will see what I can do - it just might be more whumptober than kinktober since icky feelings do not inspire the spice.
