Before the end of April, the story was done. Even though Morgan felt she could have written two hundred pages more, she had agreed to write a short story for The Rainbow Alliance first. However, before she shared her work with Lindy, the first person who got to read it was, of course, Joshua.

Joshua quietly read the pages Morgan had given him.

She tried to give him all the time he needed to read as she kept tidying up around the house.

Eventually, Joshua lowered the pages and stared at Morgan through teary eyes. "This... this is me..," he said softly.

Chapter 5 is now out!

Chapter 5, “The Raid On Naha”, is now released.

Word-count is now 193k words including code.

A short summary of what to expect:

Forlorn finds out repression isn’t actually healthy.

Gloria has a seeeeeecreeeeeeet~

Make (and lose!) a new friend!

Oh, yes, shittalk God’s wife. Not like he made the planet, or anything.

Other!MC is a master baiter.

Ignis talks a lot of shit for a girl into fucking Lobo.

As always, please bring up any issues you find. I think there aren’t any full on bugs, but I added a few things after the final quicktest so I am not sure. Likewise, I left a few choice bodies for the end of the writing session, so if any one is missing, let me know (except for the ones that say ‘WIP’. Those are on purpose. Play to win, y’all).

Note, the one big thing I want from you (for this chapter, at least) are suggestions on what the MC can say, specifically in the ‘questions’ and ‘reactions’ sections. Could really use more thoughts on those two.

Also, I don’t think I messed with any variables this time, but it’s probably best if you do a full new run now.

I'm working on another game called A trial of horror, or ATOH for short, and trying to prepare it for release for this November hopefully 🤞🏿🤞🏿 with that being said, I've only started writing a teeny bit for Maboroshi. Like maybe 100 words? Nothing substantial ya know?

I'm not gonna give a release date just for my mental health, but I can say that its probably gonna be either the end of the year of Q1 of 2024 😬😬

And it’s totally okay to be disappointed. I guess for me… it’s not something I’m looking for. Bridgerton’s their job and they’re busy people with busy lives. It’s fine to be disappointed, I love any content they’re willing to provide us but at the end of the day I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi guys, bet you thought you wouldn't see me again! 

Lol its been a terrible couple of months and I have already written this post at least 3 times but I've never been able to fully get across what is truly going on and how to articulate it.

I'm gonna try to keep it short and to the point however, cause I know some of you all don't really care about theatrics.

 ATOH is still in production. Yes, you heard right, I am still working on it. I am just going through a slump. And it's not necessarily that I am in writer's block. I wish it was writer's block honestly, that would be so much easier to deal with…

Under the cut is more details. A little personal, I suppose 👉🏿👈🏿

 I'm extremely depressed currently, and for a while, I hadn't even known I was depressed! This has truly threw me for a loop yall 🥴🥴. I honestly have no idea when I will be able to fully get myself out of this but I've been trying for a very very long time and it just doesn't seem like it's coming to an end. 

During this time, I've managed to gain some energy to work on edits given to me by beta readers but I cannot say for certain that this project is something I can turn my full attention towards anymor. I'm not putting a ATOH on hiatus because I hate that. And I'd hate to put my game on hiatus for fear that ill completely forget about it. Instead, I'll sayil that production, ie., editing, writing, etc., is going to be extremely slow. The good thing is and I keep saying this over and over is that this new chapter or i should say the new portion of the game is ready for drop. I just need to go ahead and finish adding suggestions but again I just need to gain the energy to do so.

Thank you, everyone who has stood by a trial of horro and it's slow slow production and who has continued to stand Bambi I really appreciate it and you guys are honestly like my light right now if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask send a while for me to respond but I am seeing most of your messages and I do appreciate your guys caring and you're reaching out.

FYI

Hey, so, I'm gonna be turning off the anonymous asks for a few days. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the past two weeks or so I've started getting some hostile posts, mostly relating to what you can imagine and such.

As I've said before, I appreciate anyone and everyone that tries to send in criticism, since I like to believe it's done with good faith and to help the story be better and improve my writing, but I feel like there's a bit of a difference between hearing why a story beat didn't work/made sense to you and getting half-a-dozen oneliners about how the characters disgust you and that you only read the story to see how often it makes you cringe.

Anyway, um, it'll only be closed until the update is out, which should be in a bit less than two weeks, I think. I'll make a post right after sending this one talking about that (you may know what it'll be about if you're on the CoG forums).

Sorry about this. I know a fair few of you prefer the privacy from anon asks and all, and I have gotten some anon asks that absolutely warm me up to this day still, but it's a bit disheartening to come home from college only to go online to get slammed.
