After seeing all the tragic events that have been happening in this country, due to gun violence, it’s easy to become paranoid and worse still tormented 😫. I have two little children, and I can’t even begin to imagine what the parents who are dealing with loss are going through right now 😭🙏. But for the sake of my sanity, and the well being of my kids, I have chosen to dedicate and give them up to God, because ultimately, He is truly the only One who can keep them safe from the attacks of the enemy. I know I sound irrational, but remember that “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in this world, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.” Fighting physical battles in order to reform gun policies may play a significant role, but the truth is, whether you like it or not, we need God now, more than ever before. #REPOST @adaughterofdestiny The Lord told Joshua three times to be strong and courageous in Joshua 1:6-9. He assured Joshua that He would never leave his side and all He promised to His children would be fulfilled. God also told Joshua that no one would be able to stand against him. The Lord laid out all instructions necessary for Joshua to be successful. Sometimes the call over our lives may seem heavy and everyone may not understand. GODS ARMOR The armor of God is an important truth to understand and apply. 📖 Ephesians 6:14-17 describes the 6 pieces of the armor of God. To put on the whole armor means to believe all that Jesus has done (📖 Eph. 1-3) and to live it out in daily life (📖 Eph. 4-5). It is living in the power of everything that God has done in every area of life even when there are challenges. In other words, to understand the armor of God in 📖 Ephesians 6 correctly, you have to look at what 📖 Ephesians chapters 1-5 say. It has to be understood in its right context. Putting on the whole armor of God is not mainly about a technique or paying attention to darkness and evil. It’s not about a secret prayer, a mystical spiritual experience, or visualization techniques. To put on the full armor of God is to apply all of the Gospel to all of your life. The whole armor is the expression of your full trust in God and what He has done for you through Jesus Christ. The Devil is real. Some people think he's fiction or a child's boogeyman story. Some people think he's real big, a real bad apple, too big for them to conquer daily.

Well, God created him. Unlike the animals in the wildlife, The Lord God remains King of Kings.

Don't let the defeated one pull you down with him.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
