Being poly mates with Feyre and Rhysand HC

Warnings: afab!reader (could be read as gn if you ignore the use of 'girl'), throuple mates, protective mates, fluffy, slight nsfw

boy was everyone surprised when their eyes fell upon you and how fast you just became their's. It wasn't unheard of to have more than one mate but it was such a rare occurrence that many just thought it impossible. Of course the High Lord and Lady of the Night Court did have a habit of surprising everyone.

you'd find it incredibly intimidating in the beginning. who wouldn't?? Feyre Cursebreaker and the Lord of Night, those were the two that the Cauldron deemed your fated mates. Weren't you a lucky girl. You totally didn't feel overwhelmed at all

Outside of the public eye though, they were the warmest beings you would ever have the honor of knowing. They eased you in as smoothly as possible, always checking in on you

Congratulations, you've just obtained two (honestly lets face it, Az and Cass were part of Rhysand's package) sexy and powerful guard dogs. If you had problems with anyone before, you definitely didn't once it was announced that you were their mate.

Cue special treatment everywhere in Velaris.

If you weren't accustomed to finery before, you were certainly familiar with it now. They lavish you with gifts that ranged from books to priceless jewels. Rhys had even bought you a custom made bed frame that was large enough to accommodate all three of you. Your wardrobe was also freshened up with pieces that Rhys' mother had made. Feyre figured it was only proper for you to share in the wardrobe she'd made before her passing. She had half of them tailored to your size

They never make you feel like the odd man out. This is a relationship of equal love. Neither love you any less, jealousy was not an issue with the three of you.

When it came to the physical act of love, everyone took things slowly. Rhys and Feyre took turns each night until you were comfortable enough around both of them. The first night ALL three of you have sex, no one lasted very long with the roaming hands, tongues and sounds that were swirling around the room.

You're always squished between the two of them during public outings. In the Hewn City, Rhys has Feyre on one knee and you on the other to really throw out a power move

Helion is definitely jealous that Rhys has not one, but two beautiful mates to call his own.

When you can't be with them, they leave you in the safety of Cassian and Azriel.

It does something to Rhys when he prepares to hop into bed to sleep and finds you and Feyre already curled up together. Your foreheads pressed together with hands clasped together.

You're Feyre's new painting muse. You're embarrassed by how many paintings of you there are throughout the house. Cassian teased you relentlessly

The question of titling you as a High Lady as well was discussed. You chose to go with High Consort instead. Less responsibilities but you still garnered respect and less important duties that would not jeopardize the country. You didn't want that level of responsibility on your shoulders. Rhys and Feyre were handling matters of the realm perfectly fine themselves.

Rhys loved playing with your hair when he's absentmindedly doing work.You liked the quiet of when Rhysand was working. The perfect time to curl up next to him as he looks over papers, your own book or article in your hand. He'd also cast little glances at your cute face. He takes in the line of your nose and the subtle curve of the corner of your mouth. He can't resist startling you with a kiss to your cheek.

For once, they had the Cauldron to thank for this extra blessing that came in the form of you.

Long post but I actually like the end

Lith:

Are you looking for some super obscure artefact that might or might not curse your entire family for generations? Are you looking for a way to reverse the curse some bastard ancestor put on your family for generations? Do you want to do all the previous slightly illegally and without the Ministry’s knowledge? Then Thorne is your girl.

Lith’s ability to actually get out of trouble (even if created by herself) quickly got her a reputation in the lower Wizarding World after graduating. She gains popularity and trust amongst wizards and witches with shady backgrounds, and she feels a bit like she doesn’t belong in that world. Because of that, she decides to drop it a year after and goes to study art at a muggle college. She then comes back with a “healthy” hobby to balance her curse breaking adventures.

Lith’s closest school friend is surprisingly Jae. He supplies whatever weird stuff she needs and she restocks his inventory when needed. Chiara is also very present in her adult life and Lith will visit her before a hospital (which Chiara disapproves sometimes)

The old Werewolf Protection Squad (Jae, Lith and Talbott) still gets together some full moons with Chiara. Although now they are all busy adults, sometimes at least one of them will be missing.

During the Second Wizarding War, Lith abandons her job as a cursebreaker and starts to hide and smuggle muggleborns and undesirables out of Voldemort’s reach. She flees to Mexico for a while to make sure her family was safe and returns for the Battle of Hogwarts.

After all that, I think she would dedicate herself more to her art and reconnect with Badeea on the way, but still goes cursebreaking. Also, she marries Talbott a few months after the Battle. Maybe he quits as an auror and becomes a poet, who knows?

Ty:

Ty has the Blackwood family name and fortune behind him. But instead of getting some fancy position in the Ministry or the Wizarding World itself, he gets a small home in the middle of a city and becomes a writer. He publishes short stories and novels for Muggles, often depicting magical themes. However, Ty goes by an alias.

The Blackwoonds don’t approve of his way of life, so he distances himself completely from his family but finds a new one in Lith and Charlie. Ty often visits Charlie in Romania when he feels like going out. They definitely have something going on but they start officially dating years later.

Ty also keeps in touch with Lith. During their Hogwarts years they realize they are related, so Lith will use that as an excuse to get Ty into doing things for her.

During the War, he runs a newspaper dedicated to contrarrest the Ministry’s propaganda. He uses another alias, but is eventually discovered by Death Eaters. He almost doesn’t make it out alive. That only helps to make him more determined to fight Voldemort. Ty does join The Order and participates in the Battle.

After Jacob Thorne dies, leaving his only son Icarus orphaned, both Lith and Ty act as foster parents for the kid. Ty will babysit Icarus most of the time, given that Lith still works as a cursebreaker and Lith will teach her nephew charms and spells.

If Talbott does become a poet, he wil become friends with Ty too. Even if their writing is very different, they would enjoy working in the same room. Ty would help Talbott get his work published, as he has been in the industry longer.

Maybe Talbott, Lith and Icarus move with Ty, but as Lith is always away, Talbott and Ty get mistaken as a married couple with a child and when Lith is home it gets weird for the neighbours but neither the three of them realiize that everyone is confused so now they have half the neighbourhood believing that one of the husbands is having an affair. When everyone comes to terms with “hey, maybe they are in a poly relationship, that’s fine”, Charlie arrives one Christmas and the story repeats itself.

some really random details in this "cursebreaker" au i'm struggling to come up with plot for (the one i ranted in the tags of a previous post about):

red and shadow work together at a little cafe/diner, but they're literally constantly screwing around and no one understands how they manage to get all their work done every day when all they do is make sugar cubes levitate in inconvenient places around the cafe

red can enchant any food item, literally any food, except for stuff involving eggs. he can make any other foodstuff give cool effects, like luck-boosting or memory-improvement, but the eggs...they don't like him..

they all met each other independently and only found out later that somehow they all knew each other from wildly different places???

green had some sort of hex or w/e put on him so long ago that he's forgotten about it, and so he's just constantly baffled as to why he's late for everything no matter what he does

blue works at the local university library and students keep leaving piles of books at tables instead of putting them on the "to be shelved" carts and honestly? blue's gonna burn the place down one of these days

vio can't plan out structured rituals at all and green literally cannot use his magic on the fly, so they work together and it all evens out

red and vio have a lil teeny book club they've maintained since their first semester of college

blue's incredibly proficient at usin magic, like everyone's super jealous and also confused as to why they're not doing something in a magically-oriented field of work? they usually just use their skill to yank stuff down from where shadow's glued it to the ceiling or to push green off the couch when he complains about getting ready for a job (they also, on one memorable occasion, literally disintegrated one of vio's cups)

vio magically inscribes protective runes an symbols all over his arms (bc honestly he keeps getting in the most trouble and nobody can figure out why), and one of the runes may or may not have a...deeply phallic association. that one's not for protection. nobody's caught on yet. it makes him laugh every time he looks at it

Poly curse breakers would be so cute idc HOW impractical it is.

In my head: MC, Charlie, Rowan, Penny, Chiara, and like maybe Talbott live in a little place in Romanian. Charlie goes to work at the Dragon reserve and Rowan works at the Romanian equivalent Gringotts. Talbott keeps a job to fill his Time and Chiara is a healer part time it's no st. Mungo's (yet) but she's getting there. And One day a letter comes for Charlie and MC picks it up while he's getting ready in the morning (he always liked the company in the morning and is hopeless in the kitchen so he simply wouldn't eat before work without you there) as he pulling on his heavy work boots he asks mc to read it. They read it over in their head first and a wicked smile plays on their lips. Charlie asks what it is and MC just grins even harder.

"oh you've got to go save your brother." They laugh covering their mouth "Hagrid and those friends of his are going to get him in trouble. Minnie 'll have a heart attack, my love."

"well what is it then?" Charlie frowns tying his hair back.

"a dragon. They've got a baby dragon. 'Names Norbert"

(McGonagall did not catch a break for 14 years straight.)

"Tally-Dear, why the long face?" You fuss over your boyfriend as soon as you step into your shared home fumbling to place down your work bag. It wasn't often that you needed to work, picking up odd jobs as a traveling curse breaker, but when you did your were gone for days. To be honest Talbott's face looked like it always did. Blank and pretty expressionless. It was his slouched shoulders that gave him away.

"I've..." he started out morosely slow as if he didn't know how to say what he wanted to "Missed you."

"awww, I know." You clamber to hug onto him placing yourself pressed up against him. You did know. He always missed you. "I've missed you too."

"did I just hear MC?" The raspy voice of another partner called from your room. Rowan.

"in here, Sweetface."

Soon after a rocket of emerald sweater vest and glasses come shooting into your arms.

You woke to shuffling in a big bed that wasn't yours. A giant source of heat was ripping itself from your arms leaving you cold a grasping for it.

"you've got to let go of me, love I have work." You peek your eye open finding surely enough your boyfriend sitting up in the dark with the sun having yet to rise you groan and bury your face were his warm body had just laid.

"don't leave.'m cold."

"y' cold?" He mocks back lovingly rubbing circles on your back as he fumbled for his wand.

"chaaaarlie."

"I have to work." He sighed, leaning down to kiss your forehead.

"For money." Another kiss.

" So you can eat." This time he smiled, you could hear it in his voice even with your eyes closed, but no kiss followed.

You groan and he groans back louder.

"Come on I'll take you to Chi." He mutters opening his arms. You sigh and roll over climbing into his arms to carry you to Chiara's room. He crack the door open with a creak almost bumping your head on the frame as he pushed through to make his drop of.

He sat you slowly on the bed next to your girlfriend's warm body. she stiffened in her sleep and sniffed the air around her. She sneezed softly, like she always did when Charlie had washed his hair with cinnamon shampoo, and rolled over to hold you. Snuggling closer to the small woman you relax as the smell of lavender and vanilla finally hits your nose when she lays her chin on your head lovingly.

"have a good day, Char." She muttered sleepily.

"love you too, Chi." He laughs softly.

Poly curse breakers brain rot.

Theres so many of you you're practically a friend group/roommates who kiss and sometimes talk about a pet dog. (Or human child. Penny would like a human child.)

The place you stay in is small for the amount of people. 3 bed rooms 2 bath.

Charlie has his own because of how loud he snores and his work schedule is basically dawn to dinner. which leaves the 5 of you scattered between the two other rooms.

The Biggest room is MC, Rowan, and Talbott because they're both clingy and attached to mc. Rowan is Trauma bonded and has a little separation anxiety after being together 24 seven for the last 9 years of life. And Talbott has imprinted like a little bird.

Chiara and Penny get the other room and it smells faintly of rain, lavender, vanilla, exotic plants and potion ingredients at all times. Very homey and Hufflepuffy.

Despite all of the efforts to make sure that everyone has their own space. everyone more often than not ends up in the biggest bed (Charlie's) cuddle piled tangled in each other as the broad shouldered ginger roars like a dragon in his sleep.

Chiara likes to knit gifts (the muggle way) in her free time. Scarves, gloves, and cute little sweaters (not for charlie. never a sweater for Charlie)

Penny brews Chiara's monthly potions and let's Reader help most times.

Talbott isn't super affectionate and sometimes with accidentally refer to his partners by their entire first and last legal name. "Thank you, Chiara Lobosca. I appreciate it."

Darling. He meant to say darling.

Seeing as Penny is the only one who knows anything about the muggle world sometimes she'll take you guys to new places (museums, bowling, the movies. Usual date night things)

The lot of you avoid Molly Weasley like the plague. While she was...sweet during your Hogwarts years she was always particularly pushy when things weren't "traditional" (read as: like her marriage)

She sends letters to talk with Charlie to see how he's been occasionally she asks about you. "How's your friend dear, the one from Christmas? With the....brother."

Talbott plays piano

And Penny plays guitar

Both musical gifted

They'll play for you, just ask.
