Completely Random Agents of Shield Headcanons (Part 2)
Part 1
Daisy and Daniel's wedding anniversary is July 22nd. The day is the anniversary of Daniel's death in 1955. Daniel was actually the one who suggested that date. Daisy was very reluctant and confused, wondering why in the world he would want to choose his old death date, but Daniel convinced her with "You saved me that day." (Also it's the day 7x09 aired).
Despite the team not being in a formal work setting anymore (or very often), they all still pretty much call May, May, rather than Melinda. Phil is the only one who will call her that on a regular basis, and Mack and Elena will say it sometimes, but Fitzsimmons and Daisy still find it weird since they literally never called her Melinda before. In fact, there was a time when Daisy called her Melinda just to try it out. The two looked at each other, shook their heads, and laughed as they realized how weird it was, so she is just May, and May doesn't mind.
When really happy, Kora's body naturally emits warmth, and when she hugs people, they can feel this warmth radiate from her to them, and everyone pretty much loves it.
Also when Kora came back to 2019 with the team, she took 'Johnson' as her last name. Daisy was the one who suggested it given that Kora had said she actually didn't know what her last name was, so Daisy kinda just said, "You're my sister. Why shouldn't we have the same last name?"
Daisy visits Cal's veterinarian practice on a regular basis. He always has the biggest smile when she comes in, and everyone that works there knows her. Daisy always feels the sadness deep down within her, knowing that he doesn't truly remember their connection, but there are some moments that still make it feel like he's her father like when she first introduced Daniel to him. The happiest moment was when Daisy and Daniel decided it was time to finally adopt a dog, and they adopted a rescue from Cal's practice.
And the dog is either a golden retriever or a german shepherd (I might be biased towards german shepherds as my childhood dog was a german shepherd mix)
Each of the team members who have died at one point has their name on the Wall of Valor the number of times they had died during their seven years together. For example, May has gotten several students ask her, "Professor May, why is your name on the Wall of Valor twice?" This was Mack's idea.
Daisy will still sometimes use 'Skye' as a cover name for undercover work.
Polly Hinton invites May and Daisy to many of Robin's school functions (award ceremonies, holiday performances, festival nights, art shows, etc), and both of them make it a point to attend every single time. They even attend her high school graduation when that finally rolls around.
The team brought back their karaoke nights (it is canon that they had them in s2), and Mack made it a point to make "Don't You (Forget About Me)" a song they have to do every single time.
Alya's first word was 100% "Enoch", and Fitz is still pissed about it.
When/If the team starts having kids (excluding Alya), Mack and Elena are the first ones to have a kid (after already adopting Flint).
At some point, probably between seasons 1 and 2, Daisy got her GE Degree, and Coulson threw her a small party with the team and some of the new agents when she completed it.
This is more of a speculation than a headcanon, but what if Deke is not Alya's child? What if his mother is actually another daughter of Fitzsimmons? OR because the timeline changed, he may not even exist in the team's timeline at all anymore. Like Alya ends up pregnant and she actually has a girl, and Fitzsimmons are just like "Wait, what?" OR They have a son who has a son, and as the kid grows up, Fitzsimmons start to notice similarities and just go "Oh my god."
Coulson has taken all of the team's kids on joyrides in Lola at one point or another. Daniel nearly had a panic attack when he saw his and Daisy's tiny daughter in the passenger seat as Lola flew through the air.
Joey and Elena have lunch together very often. Mack and Flint tag along pretty often, and when she's free, Daisy is also invited as well and Daniel when he comes into the picture. They all also attend Joey and his boyfriend's wedding.
Daniel gets really into photography. After the typewriter, Daisy's next big gift is a polaroid camera. Eventually, he does own a more modern camera and he does have quite the portfolio on his smartphone, but he just loves his polaroid. He loves taking pictures of architecture and nature, but his favorite subject to photograph is, of course, Daisy. And once they have a kid, the kid is another favorite photography subject of his as they grow up.
One of the first things the team did after returning to 2019 after time traveling was going to a diner since their diner meal in s4 was cut short.
Alya and Davis' son actually become really good friends when they are older. (And if you think about it, Alya is actually older by like 2 or 3 years)
Every family takes turns hosting Christmas. After all the kids are born, May hosting and The Mackenzie-Rodriguez family hosting actually become the most anticipated Christmases

The shape of me
[AO3] {Polly/Bobbi/Hunter, rated M, 1.8k}
Summary: Polly takes a moment to herself during her birthday while Bobbi and  Hunter are away. She was not expecting Hunter to catch her red-handed,  but she has no complaints.
Notes: Written for @bobbimorseisbisexual prompt: “Were you touching yourself?”.
Sneak-Peek:
“Oi, I resent that. But you didn’t answer my question.”
It is hard to focus with his breath on her ear, with his hands firm against her hips. He knows all her weak points to drive her insane in thirty seconds, but Polly also coexists with him on a regular basis without going into a frenzy of desire every time their hands touch over breakfast. There is something about being exposed, maybe even about having been caught redhanded that makes her body feel electrified by his touch.
“N-no.”
“Then what were you doing?”

Mama May headcanons (post S7 - part 1)
When she first meets Alya she calls her ‘little duckling’ and proceeds to call her that for the rest of time
Whenever she travels to help recruit for the Academy or to meet Phil during his world travels, she finds little trinkets to send to Alya and all of her children
May loves to speak to Alya in Mandarin and Alya picks it up so quickly that her parents get her a tutor to help her continue learning even when May isn’t around
Alya will sometimes call her just to say the new Mandarin phrases shes learned and they will have whole conversations in Mandarin that no one else can understand
Or Alya will video chat to show her the new self defense moves her mom and Aunt Daisy taught her
“Mama May look what I can do!” and then proceed to knock Fitz off his feet
May will smile, provide a gentle correction or tip, and then tell her good job for taking her father down
One time she gets a call from Alya while visiting Polly and Robin
Robin latches onto the name Mama May as well, thus leading to all future grandchildren calling her Mama May
(which Coulson loves because that means he is Papa Phil)
She tries to visit Robin as often as possible
Robin still isn’t overly chatty which makes them both enjoy the others company. The not-awkward silence has a calming effect on both of them
May will often offer to spend a few hours with Robin so Polly can run errands or have a little me time
Every single drawing that finds it’s way into May’s mailbox ends up on the fridge until the next batch arrives
(they then get stored in a keepsake box in her office)
She likes to send Robin letters with pictures from her travels in return
While May might not always be good at using words to express her love, she is great at showing it, especially to her favorite tiny humans

AOS 30 Day Challenge
I missed the last few days, so here's my first catch up post, so the post doesn't get too long
Day 14: Underrated character: Polly Hinton
Honorable mentions: Elena Rodriguez, Enoch, Noah
I'm pretty sure everyone likes and even loves Polly, but I've only seen one post for her (a moodboard, shoot out to @springmagpies ). Polly has not had it easy. First her husband's powers meant they helplessly saw death coming and couldn't touch each other; as Fitz said imagine not being able to hold your child without painful images coming to you both. Her husband ran away and died at the hands of Hydra (at least he was able to save Daisy). Then her daughter comes to powers of her own much like her father's. Only she sees everyone's deaths and the lead up to them. Because of the way her memory works, she didn't always recognize Polly as her mother.
Polly always takes these painful moments in stride, and, what's more, has stayed very open and honest through out. She trusted Enoch to help interpret Robin's drawings/visions. I can't help but wonder how that meeting went. Did Robin tell her mother where to meet him, or did he approach? She trusted Fitz and Hunter upon meeting them, even though they brought secret agemts on their trail. Instead of being bitter towards May for being Robin's mother in the future the didn't survive, she was thankful and relieved to know that someone would always be there for Robin. Polly had every reason not to trust S.h.i.e.l.d, but she did and she is good and she deserves the world and to he safe with her family. She's the kind of person Fitz aspired to be when he said, "I believe in trust."
I planned on posting this on Mother's Day as it would have made for a very appropriate post, but alas. She's a model mom.

Agents of Shield Rewatch 5x22 The End
Well, here we are. Another episode I’m not excited to watch. But I know what’s coming in season 6 so let’s do this.
Look everyone’s fighting how fun
:( I feel really bad for Elena because she is honestly trying to do what she can but ayaya what a choice to have to make
Why isn’t anyone barking at May about that like they were griping at Elena? She essentially just made a choice for them like Elena did.
Idk I’m with Elena. Coulson is one man who has made peace with dying. It seems like an easy call to me.
This is really mean to do to Robin
Boo
I just really feel for Elena. She’s seriously is watching a trainwreck and can do nothing to stop it
RIP Chicago skyline
:( Deke is making me sad too
There’s too much sadness in this episode!
But Deke reading and absorbing all these books is very Fitzsimmons of him
I think May is putting Phil in an impossible position right now which is kind of unfair of her
But also I get where she’s coming from
Director Mack!!
This is amazing for him. He’s amazing. What Daisy is doing is amazing.
Well at any rates it’s nice to see Phil up and about
FITZ AND SIMMONS YOU SEPARATED AGAIN UGH
This is gonna suck isn’t it?
In the end Phil made the hard decision by himself
Daisy is not happy about it though
Noooooooooo this can’t be how Mack and Polly die!
I mean obviously I know the answer to that
I just wanted it noted right now that I love Daisy Johnson so much
This is a timely speech by Daisy
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I hate this
Although bless Iain’s agent for giving the heads up that he’d be back because that was the only thing that saved this for me
“Something’s different” YAY
PHIL GAVE IT TO DAISY!!! HE KNEW!!!
PHIL’s ALIVE!!
Fitz is...less so
Did Daisy legit just quake him off into space?
Queen
HENRY, MING, AND IAIN ARE AMAZING AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
Even knowing what happens this still makes me want to cry
Seeing May cry has to be the worst part of this.
Noooo someone has to tell Jemma whyyyyyyy?
:( Jemma packing up everything
:( Everyone is sad
“We were different people back then” noooooooooo
They were though
What a beautiful scene
Even if it hurts
I mean, he did miss his own wedding Jemma sooooooo
And his grandson
Ok legit Fitzsicle missed a lot
Phil is such a proud Dad and I love him for it
I’m so glad Daisy and Phil got to tell each other that they love each other because I think they’ve held back for various reasons
For real though if this is how the show had ended I would have been so ticked
Spending his lost moments with May is exactly the way Phil should go out though bless
Mom and Dad are empty nesters now
Enjoy it you two. You both deserve as much happiness as you can get.
We did it you guys! My first rewatch of season 5! So with the exception of 2 things, this season was actually amazing and so much fun. I know people were heartbroken at Phil’s imminent demise, but I felt like it was a wonderful way for him to go out. On his terms. And finally seeing Phil and Melinda get together made my heart so happy. We are never guaranteed any amount of time with anyone, so knowingly choosing each other in those last moments is one of the most loving and romantic things I can think of.
A lot of the choices they made with Fitz for this season ranged anywhere from AMAZING to AWFUL. I feel like they just went “Let’s have fun!” and didn’t really take time to figure out what consequences those writing choices would (or least should) have. Oh well, it’s done and over and we can’t change anything about it.
I know this episode should rate really high on the Philinda scale and probably not so great on the Fitzsimmons scale but I’m only going to give a rating on one scale- the Personal Growth scale. And every one of these characters scores a 500000/10 on this scale I love you all my Shield family.
The song for this episode (and maybe this whole season) is “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy” by Sarah McLachlan. I won’t fear love indeed.

I saw your latest posts, so : Robin is at the base ? How is she ? Does she live here permanently ? Who is the best at babysitting (I would go at Mackelena or May but who knows) ?
Well, she stays with May on base on the weekends. (Today Polly had a date night so she’s with us for the day.) To her, May is Mom and Polly is Mommy or Momma. So they rotate having her. May’s always off on the weekends because she’s part time retired with Coulson, so it works out for her to stay with them. During the week, May’s teaching and Coulson helps Mack with tactics, so Robin’s with Polly.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’m the best babysitter other than Coulson. At this point, we’re sisters and she joins Jemma and I in pranking Davis or Fitz. Also, I’ve been helping her with her homework and how to punch the boy who’d been bothering her in the right spot. So yeah, I’d say I’m the best babysitter.
Not that she’d like that term. She turned 11 a couple of weeks ago. Hard to believe that I was giving her a robin figure when she was, what, 6? I gave her a laptop for her birthday. I’m gonna make her a hacker, just wait. (May and Polly aren’t too keen on that happening.)
If people want to hear more about Robin and how she’s doing, or the pranks we’ve pulled, or something else about Shield life, just send in an ask!! All ask posts will go under the ask quake tag (:

I’ve been re-watching a LOT of SHIELD lately... specifically from the fifth and sixth seasons. And I gotta say how unparalleled my admiration is for the Hinton family. There is so much beauty to unpack here.
First, Charles Hinton... everything about him and his tragic story. I love him so much, and I love Spacetime so much. All he wanted to do was make a difference with the newly acquired power he had. He was sad to die but also embraced it with a peacefulness few find. Because he finally saved someone. Everything about him... he could’ve turned into a hardened, bitter shell of a man. He was heartbroken from being unable to touch his wife or daughter. He quietly bowed out and lived on the street because he didn’t want any trouble and knew his power was driving him crazy. And then his dying wish is for Daisy to look after Robin. I just love him so much, and I weep every time I watch Spacetime and thank him for his quiet heroics.
Then there’s Polly. She witnessed firsthand what happened to her husband. And then he essentially abandoned her. But she’s the first one to defend him. After seeing what happened, she could’ve easily allowed paranoia of all things inhuman to control her. But she didn’t. She was gracious and grateful to Daisy even though she knew her husband died saving her. She embraces Robin’s power and takes it seriously. Instead of being skeptical, she trusts that Robin and Enoch know much more than she does and tries to do all she can to help. She trusts Fitz and Hunter and tries to share with them everything she can gather. She’s accepted that Robin thinks differently than other little girls and gives her as much support and love and encouragement as she can. She caught on that she was going to die early on in the loop and instead of resenting May, she asks May to take care of Robin should something happen to her. She is a quiet, loving, supportive hero, and I love her so much. And I’m so glad Fitz saved her. She deserves a lifetime of peace with her daughter.
And finally, Robin. The girl who saved the world. But really. She really did. She was too freaking young to have the power she did. So young, in fact, that the only way she communicated her time glimpses was through quiet doodles. And yet, she doodled on anyway. She could’ve turned into herself. And ignored what she was seeing. She’s expressed her doubt to May about how unlucky she’s felt with her power and how hard it was to have it. She could’ve never told anyone about it. I doubt Enoch would’ve have known anything had she not picked up a crayon. But as young as she was, she still fought. She knew what she had to do, and she willingly put herself in danger to keep the vision of preserving humanity alive. She inspired a following of true believers. She endured ridicule and exasperation from the team. She walked into her own death. She lived everything all at once and didn’t shy away from it. She knew her power was bigger than herself and gave the team everything she could give. I love her so much. And I’m so happy she saved the world.
This seemingly ordinary family selflessly gives all they can for the greater good, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t think of them and their absolute devotion to doing what’s right. And I kinda think they embody the premise of the show... not all heroes are super. They’re not flashy. They’re not physical fighters. But they are strong. And through quiet and not-so-quiet acts, they save the world.
The Hinton family have a beautiful story. And I’m just glad they were able to share it.

“Can I ask you something? I don’t understand everything that’s happened here today, but Robin clearly has a  c o n n e c t i o n  with you.”
“I, uh, don’t know if I can explain it - I don’t fully understand it myself.”
“You don’t have to. I’ve seen the drawings: I know that I’m not in them. If anything happens to me…”
”Listen, that’s not gonna happen, ok?”

one of my favorite things about 5x16 is the fact that despite daisy taking charge in coulson’s absence even though may is coulson’s second-in-command and despite robin calling may mommy even though her mother polly was right there, we never see any jealousy or competition between these women
may actively encourages daisy to take on a leadership role and supports daisy’s decisions even if she doesn’t agree with them
polly is just glad robin has formed a connection with someone, even if it’s not her, and she’s just glad her daughter will have someone watching over her in the future, even if it’s a future she herself will never see

Get out
Deke’s love life were the only moments of comedy relief. Everyone else's seems more like a tragedy. I don’t know if I ship it but I wish him luck with the lemons.
Melinda May comes to Hale’s base without guns. She needs to hit something. Talking to Phil does that to her. And May and Daisy vs everyone doesn’t disappoint. But it also doesn’t last. Situation has changed and now they have to combine forces to save the world. Hale surrendered because they have bigger problems now. Ruby has gravitonium and Destroyer of Worlds project is a go.
Hall using gravitonium to consume Quinn didn’t kill him. Now they both stuck in there hating each other and endlessly arguing. It drove Creel crazy and he had to be sedated. I hope SHIELD can help him. But just like I suspected it also drove Ruby insane. She couldn’t even complete the infusion. And they want to get out. I wonder if they are still there in the ruins of Earth. Or if they managed to get out. In that blast from Ruby’s body? Or later when Earth is cracked?
I was afraid this was when Polly Hinton died but luckily it’s not yet. I’m glad this is not on Glenn Talbot’s conscience. He’s been through enough.
Get in. Get out. Nobody has to get hurt. Complete the mission. Happy to comply. Bring them Robin and the info about future. And she doesn’t run. She already knows how it all plays out.
I’m grateful Coulson and Mack managed to save Talbot. He only just got better from the last shot in the head. I loved how fast they realised he was controlled once they noticed paused feeds. This is their lives now. I loved even more that Coulson used the programming  to save Glenn. Make him comply and point the gun at Phil. and then Mack iced him. But here is Phil again doing suicidal things even when stuck in the base. This is what May was talking about.
FitzSimmons have sacrificed each other so many times they can’t do it again. Not even for billions of people, Earth and their families and friends. Still they did pretty good job stalling. And even Ruby ships them. Just not enough not to hurt them to get what she wants.
If she wasn’t this mix of spoiled and feeling like she’s never good enough. Not as good ass Quake. If she wasn’t trying to show her mother she can be all Hale kept pushing her to be. If she wasn’t so good at convincing Alex to help her (that guy always made wrong choices). If she didn’t cut off Elena’s arms. But that’s always easy to say in hindsight.
There is some irony in the fact that Ruby gave Alex a reason to live and then was the one who killed him. And some poetry in the last two scions of HYDRA elite laying dead in that facility together.
Get out really seemed like a theme today. So many people say it over and over again. It doesn’t seem like anyone does though. Especially not out of the loop.
