By the way, I know poison pokemon seem to be your specialty, but do you have any tips for keeping an older Persian? My boy is gettin' on in years and I wanna be sure he's comfortable in the cat-fé~

Hello there, Quill!

You're in luck because, even though poison is my speciality, my family has an elderly Persian so I can try to give some tips based on what I experienced with ours.

In general, Persians are known for their fickle and temperamental personality and their Alolan counterpart tends to be a bit more haughty. Of course, not all Persians have the same personality but to a certain degree, they tend to act similarly. And when old, the "bad sides" of their personality could become more evident.

My mother's Persian is a Kantonian-Alolan mix that always had a nasty personality, being both haughty but also very temperamental. With age, Freddie's personality became even more mercurial and easy to resort to scratching others if he felt annoyed for whatever reason.

This is to give you an example, I have the thought that probably your Persian won't have such a moody personality like Freddie that grew up butting heads with the neighbour's Perrserker on top of being already naturally capricious…

Anyway, since your Persian will be staying in your cat-fé I'd say that the first thing to make sure of is that he's fine with people and crowds. Sometimes, when getting older some Pokémons might start to dislike crowds even if they used to always be fine with them. I'd suggest making a little space for him, maybe in the back, where to rest without the risk of being bothered by customers or the noise in general inside the café.

Speaking of resting, I suggest keeping their bedding quite soft to avoid any joint pain: being a quite big feline, there's a possibility that they might start to develop some form of arthritis and/or start having aching limbs. Also, soft bedding helps avoid the cold of the floor. Persians tend to like staying in high places, so I'd suggest checking your cat-fé furniture to make sure it's sturdy enough for him to climb: another option for the Persian to "avoid" people without bothering to change room.

Their thick whiskers are sensitive and ageing they probably become even more sensitive, so beware of children that might pull them! If a young Persian could get angry, but only growl at the "offender", an old one might resort to their claws without warning first!

Other things… hm… I'd say that's all for keeping your Persian comfortable in the cat-fé. Check on him from time to time, to see if he's comfortable with people and other mons that could enter the café.

For general care, periodic check-ups at the Pokémon Center are advised but if the Persian is healthy it's okay doing that sparingly to make sure everything is fine. Some PokéFood mixes are formulated for "senior" Pokémons, so maybe you could mix some of that with his usual food if you see he might need some extra energy… ah! Yes! Old Persians - and other felines - tend to spend more time sleeping, but it's nothing to worry about.

I'm seen alot of emet In legend AZ and while that would be so ccool. It's highly unlikely.

See pokemon likes its formulas. Keep doing something slightly diferent to keep it fresh. If we are gonna have another time traveler that get stuck before us. It's gonna follow the same pattern has ingo.

My idea for the pattern is, Someone who isn't a main plot character, i havent play black or white but im sure the train duo arent main plot charactes. A person who is connected deeply with someone else who will miss them dearly in their own time, like Emmett. and someone from the next generation, legends arceus takes places in sinoh while ingo is from unova, so if AZ is kalos, then our new time traveler has to be from alola.

I did play sun and moon so I'm familiar with the story. I did a Google search to refresh my memory. Unfortunately there are not alot of interesting side characters that dont connect to the main plot. But still i did my quick research and here are my options from posible Alola natives than get stuck in pass kalos.

Lillie or gladion

Another sibling duo, their story was sweet and heartbreaking so why not add more. wishes just reconnect after who knows how long and then for one of them to disappear to an unknown world without any memory would be so sad. Bonus points if we get to see a more confident Lillie helping the urban development of lumious city, or a more scare gladion been terrified of megas, yet wishes to learn more about how to bond with pokemons.

Nanu or Acerola

Nanu acts all uncaring but he does love acerola has she is the only family he has left. On the flip side, Acerola loves his uncle and keeps looking up for him. Acerola js elude to be descentdant from a royalt family, which would fit perfectly if she gets send into a pass Paris inspired place, she can be a princess or a noble lady. Nanu did take care of team skull making sure they weren't too problematic, so he could be something like a protector or something.

Hala or Hau

Self explanatory. Grampa loses grandkid or the other way arround. No idea what they could do in kalos though.

Plumeria or Guzman or kukui

I'm putting them together cuase is the same concept. If Guzman loses either kukui or plumeria he act all tuff but he be heartbroken if he loses one of the few people he can call friends. On the other side, if Guzman disappeared just after starting to fix his life out, I'll destroy kukui and plumeria. Though again, no idea what they could be in pass kalos.

Burner or kukui

Just. Couple angst. No more to say.

Kabu

He hates being touched by people he doesn’t care about, if he cares about someone it’s ok.

When he was a kid people would talk over him, he hated it. He still hates it, but now he can do something about it.

I wanna say he’s bi and trans i think. Goes under the pronouns of he/him he came out as trans when he was 18-20 a couple years after surgery he moved to where he is now.

If he finds a lost or distrusted ( that’s how he met allister ) he’ll try his best to calm them down and help them .

One year the other gym leader gave him a ‘ best dad ever ‘ shirt that’s the first time they had ever seen him cry like ever.

Man’s knows what your thinking and before you can do anything stupid he’ll tell you to stop it

Bede

Like kabu he also hates touch, and they hates it even if you know him, in-fact he’s only ok with it if your dating them or have known him for many many years.

I wanna say Demisexual/gay and his also trans and goes under the pronouns of he/they.

He was horrible with dancing until opal taught him how to( he still stumbles a lot in it though )

I like to think he got his stuck up personality because he was in foster care, when he was 7-9 ( then rose picked him up ) because none of the homes wanted him because he was ‘ to traumatized for they’re likening’ so in a way of coping they start to act like that, he also came out as trans when he was 11 ( rose may be a bad man but he supported bede).

Theater kid

He’s nickname for people he cares about is idiot. Yes he shows affection through mean names

Listens to music that’s like the music sleeping at last makes

Probably have a squishmallow collection

Leon

I think that he’s a demi-boy ( trans ) he/they and he’s gay ( yes he has dated rahain )

Has a arua that can calm down any Pokémon or human

He stress draws, and he’s gotten good at drawing because he’s always stressed

Loves to put his head on peoples thighs if they’re ok with is, like it’s just a built in pillow for people

Other that kabu he happens to be one of the shortest mf’s you’ll ever find ( this is a joke )

Breedable

Probably also has a squishmallow collection

Bimbo

He’s gotten lost in a IKEA before, it was a challenge to find him

Play with his hair, he loves it

Leon has a undercut

Rahain

He’s pansexual ( i mean he already flirts with everyone he thinks is hot ) he goes by he/him

He’s a funny drunk, (yes that means blackmail )

Also likes to lay on peoples thighs( mostly Leon’s when he can get away with it )

Has stolen Leon’s squishmallows before and will again

Hes reciprosexual and goes by he/him ( props to the people who know what that is )

He has so many chains in his closet he can and will strangle people with them, like an e-girl

Steals his partners clothes if they’re a size bigger than him because they’re comfortable unlike his

He’s gay ( has dated bede they ended it on goodish terms) and goes by he/him

He learned how to braid and put hair in a bun for leon, he still will and does Leon’s hair for him

Also has squishmallow but only because bede gave them to him as a birthday present

He can’t sleep alone for the life of him so his Pokémon all cuddle with him in his bed

Learned how to draw when he was younger so he could be like Leon ( not knowing leon did it only when he was stressed)

Marnie

Doesn’t really smile but when she does it’s only for family and loved ones

She’s bi. And goes by they/she

Is an absolute freezer and steals like all the blankets they can

She blacks out ( doesn’t know why still ) and it can cause her to faint

Has salt packets in they’re pockets don’t ask why ( black outs

Has a stuffy collection and a squishmallow collection

Ingo

He has adhd

I think that he’s gay and demisexual and his pronouns are he/him ( trans )

I can imagine ingo with one of those giant beer mugs so there’s that

Has a overwhelming obsession on history more so, the Hisuian Sneasels

Just watched the pokemon presents and my FIRST thought was "FUCK YEAH SAWBUCK'S BACK". Apart from that i couldn't take half the news seriously because for a region set in Spain it sure got some lame ass names like wdym Glaseado Town ??? NARANJA/UVA ACADEMY??? PROF. Unfortunately I gave into my midnight impulses and have committed to playing endless ocean on my pc, so I bought a wii control yesterday and today ordered a sensor bar.
