Do you ever have cases where after a ranger retires, their pokemon starts working with another ranger?

Well its not unlikely to happen, but most pokemon and Rangers work together because they are partners and usually work for a very long time, so when one retires, the other is usually not tok far off.

In unfortunate circumstances when one passes away, the pokemon might keep doing its job and maybe work with another partner or just retire with their family.

Partnership is a pretty serious commitment as a ranger, and their partners are usually pokemon they have formed a bond with just like a trainer.

There are instances of pokemon being trained for ranger work and paired with a capable ranger, and they are professional partners, but it's far more common to see people bring in their own partners.

I'm trying to figure out who the straw hat crew would have as pokémon partners from the original 151

So far, I'm thinking:

Zoro-Scyther <obviously for the swords>

Usopp-Bellsprout <for his connection to plants post 2 year>

Nami-Staryu <because of the gem? And I couldn't really think of a weather related one>

Sanji-Farfetch'd/Hitmonlee/Lickitung <farfetch'd because of the leek and hitmonlee cause of the kicks, but both don't have good hands to help cook. Lickitung because I just always think of the lickitung mini game from pokémon stadium lol>

I can't really figure out who for Luffy, though, maybe mankey? Lol, because 'monkey' d. luffy, get it?

Also, bonus if you can think of partners for the rest of the crew!

Location: Lone Mamoswine (a tiny village a few days north of Snowpoint City)

Pokemon partners:

1. Beef

Abomasnow; nicknamed Chris Pine

Been his partner since he found him in the woods as an abandoned young Snover when he was a boy. They bonded over not having parents around. Chris Pine is very caring and helps Beef raise the kids and their pokemon. People assume the nickname is related to the actor but its actually just a coincidence.

2. Wolf

Glaceon; nicknamed Ice Age after the movie

Was given to him as an eevee by his dad as a birthday present. Eventually evolved to a Glaceon thanks to the climate. Loyal and sweet just like Wolf.

3. Ham

Bergmite; nicknamed Berger King

Bergmite and Avalugg still live in the most northern reaches of Sinnoh as they did in Hisuian times. Ham met Berger King when he was a kid out on a walk and they bonded. Now he helps Ham with his cake baking.

4. Judy

Froslass; nicknamed Freeza Kahlo

Judy adopted Freeza Kahlo when she was still a Snorunt at the town's annual baby pokemon adoption fair. Judy made sure that Freeza wanted to evolve and that it was her choice as a pokemon. Now they do art together and fight the patriarchy.

5. Moon

Cubchoo, nicknamed Bear

Was a gift from Beef to Moon after Kathleen abandoned them. Beef recieved him as an egg from the local pokemon center. Moon took good care of the egg and helped it hatch. He and Bear have been inseparable ever since. Every morning they check their traps for legendaries.

6. Honey Bee

Flareon; nicknamed Quest for Fire (like the movie) but mainly just Quest for short

Honey Bee grew up in Slateport City in Hoenn before meeting Wolf online and moving north. She recieved Quest as an eevee when she was a girl from school. Quest chose a fire stone when it (along with the other stones) were offered to her at a pokemon center. She is fun-loving and up for adventure. She and Ice Age are a bonded pair.

Additional: Jerry Bee

Sylveon; nicknamed Lacey

Jerry Bee recieved Lacey as an eevee when he asked his parents for one, trying once again to copy Honey Bee. He was going to evolve her into a Flareon too but his sweet disposition and kindness made her evolve into a Sylveon almost immediately. She went with him when he moved north and now helps out at his job where he dresses up as legendary pokemon for parties.

Hi, I would like your opinion on something.

My sister was paralyzed from the waist down due to an accident, afterwards she was given a chance to bond with a pokemon at a nearby rescue and adoption center to obtain a therapy partner/companion for her depression she got after her accident and she ended up bonding with and picking a kantonian slowpoke named pinkie.

No one opposes it, it's just we're uncertain on how good of a therapy partner/companion a slowpoke can be.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she adjusts well, and thankfully she's still here.

Honestly, Slowpoke isn't a terrible pokemon for a companion.

Most Pokémon can be trained to be some kind of companion for physical, emotional and Mental alements, some just take more work than others.

In your sister's case, her lower half is paralyzed, assuming she must need a wheel chair or has limited mobility, Slowpoke might not be the best for helping with that, but as an emotional support Pokemon Slowpoke is actually really good for that.

A lot of people take their "slow take to life" as troubling and believe that they aren't too smart, when in reality they are pretty smart, they just aren't in a rush.

For someone with anxiety or even depression, it can help to relax and just be in the moment, and having a Slowpoke that you can chill with isn't a bad idea.

Their psychic typing also helps them communicate and resonate with other creatures, so they don't even need to talk, they are just viking on their own mental wavelength.

I hear that if you become in sync with a Slowpoke it can be a real calming time.

Of course as they evolve, Slowbro is much stronger, but a Slowking would be an excellent partner for communication as well as helping per get around.

I'd say that if she needs a good, slow restart to her life, a Slowpoke is a great partner.

Also they are pretty soft and can be great cuddle partners.
