"The Death of BarrenClan: Part Two"
So good to see you again.
The cover art is inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts and marginalia, if you're not familiar with the style. I highly encourage you all to look it up, there are many delightful drawings.
Cypressfoot marks the second blood of BarrenClan. Oh, darling, I'm so sorry to lose you.
But we do seem to have a returning member.

merry christmas, happy holidays. transfemme and transmasc solidarity always
[start id: two empty hormone vials are side-by-side. estrogen is on the left, and testosterone on the right. they have been repurposed as flower vases containing poinsettias. /end id]
i don’t have much to say here. i actually really hate christmas lol. did you know the poinsettia has indigenous origins? it was taken and appropriated by the first us minister in mexico, who took the cuetlaxochitl name and bastardized it to be named after himself. fitting.
in the Aztec language Nahuatl, the name translates to the "mortal flower that perishes and withers like all that is pure." - i find that more powerful than christmas

"The Death of BarrenClan: Part One"
First blood.
It'll become clear soon, but not all of Defiance is here - there are around 100 members in the group in total, and only about twenty here today. But it seems like a lot to the cats.
Also, Prowl did kill Mallowstar by snapping his neck, but I understand it may not be obvious in the art because I didn't want to look at pictures of broken necks for reference. Regardless he died near instantly.
He did his best.
