Team Friendship Alliance

Doodled my main PMD Team for my Comic! Darcy the Skitty is the team leader, and she’s the one who came up with the team name! The other two think it’s kind of cringe but Darcy can’t be convinced to change it. Darcy is a farm girl who moved to the city, along with her sister Alki, in order to get money for  their sickly mom! While the two started with simple rescue missions, the two soon moved on to Outlaw missions, which paid much better, in an attempt to earn more money.

The two are joined by Saphira soon after, an exiled Noble who is seeking to make a name for herself to earn her parent’s love back. They all are a teensy bit traumatized for different reasons buuuuut. You’ll see. These three are the main characters of my PMD Story, and I adore all three of them. All of them have some minor issues to work out with each other, but really love each other very much. I’m so excited to show them off!!!

I really like the story of pmd games but I just don't like the dungeon crawler gameplay loop at aalll heeelllppp

Unfortunately, I can't really give any suggestions with the dungeon crawler thing. I personally liked it, but it does get repetitive sometimes. That, and I'm not even done with EOT.

However, if you still want to go through the story of those games, uh...

Fan comics exist, I guess. I have a few suggestions:

On Borrowed Time: It's basically a remixed version of the Explorers Saga, with a bit of "tension", high stakes, heck, even fan characters. I can-not recommend it enough. It's still going strong, and there's even a prologue chapter.

Abridgstery Dungeon: It's also just the plot of Red and Blue Rescue Team, and the mc's a Mudkip that remembers nothing except the fact that he's a memelord(I swear, my description doesn't do it enough justice, it's such a gripping story).

PMD Alliance: It's also not done yet, but I'm pretty sure that it's based on Super Mystery Dungeon.

I hope you enjoy these suggestions. If these aren't really your thing, go to Comicfury, and search up "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" in the tags. You will not be disappointed.

misc r/place thoughts bc it has consumed all of them for the past like three days

- this emote from a relatively obscure gacha (dragalia lost) that's seeing the end of service this summer was in the top left corner and held until the end (i think) and I was incredibly emotional about it when i first saw it

- NIKO ONESHOT MY BELOVED NIKO ONESHOT (It was more filled once but I don't have the sc)

- the gacha alliance as a whole ^-^ I am a gacha enjoyer at heart. i was surprised to see guardian tales make it :D

you know something that i always thought would be a good idea for a story, is what would the pmd world look like during the industrial revolution, i mean with the advancement of technology the population would drastically increase, a larger population needs more houses and food (deforestation) cities would need more money to pay workers, so commerce and mining would become more common causing coastal towns to grow, but with the growth of commerce there would be more crime (pirates, highwaymen,raiders etc.) it would a matter of time before a lumberjack gets ambushed by thug, panics, and uses it's axe to defend himself realising that it's more effective than moves, soon weapons would become common (sword, spear, bow etc.) and be used by militias to defend trade and maintain order. nations that don't have many resources would go to war against those which do have resources, like commercial nations with a ton of money and they would, perhaps, hire those militia, starting mercenary companies. with the rise of naval commerce, naval technology would advance, allowing 'mon to go farther than any other 'mon before them. and overtime kingdoms and empires would rise and fall, gunpowder would be invented causing moves to be more outdated than ever, armies would be formed, cities would grow, cultures, alliances, federations, feudalism would come and go, and finally STEAM, trains, cars, factories, automatization and etc.

Persona Spin-off Idea

Since i’m diving into the hell hole known as Persona, my mind’s been coming up with ideas and stuff related to it. So, might as well share an idea for a Persona spin-off.

What i have in mind is a mystery dungeon style game called Persona: Twisted Memories, see it as like...Persona Q, but better.

The story is that, out of the blue, the casts of P5, P4, and P3 find themselves in a strange realm that resembles a large library. For some reason, they seem to have forgotten a majority of their memories (minus some important ones, like their names, the fact they’re all friends, they have Personas, etc) and they don’t know why it happened or how they got there. A mysterious duo; a little girl named Lune and a strange man named Chro, reside in this strange library and they wish to aid them in their journey to recover their memories.

They later learn that their memories are actually scattered across “Story Worlds”, manifestations of stories and tropes as small pocket dimensions that changes how it’s structured every time someone enters it. So the Phantom Thieves, the Investigation Team, and S.E.E.S must travel through these worlds and recover their memories. Along the way, they find they are not the only ones dragged into this realm, they find Naoya and Tatsuya, the protags of P1 and P2, who lost their memories as well, but unlike the others, they (and by extension everyone in the P1 and P2 cast) have lost all their memories, turning into grey hollow husks of who they once were, all they know is that they must fight for a reason they don’t remember.

As for gameplay, you all know how a mystery dungeon game works, right? We all played PMD at some point. It’s like that but with Persona’s mechanics mixed in. You can build a team of five and run through dungeons, attacking demons with melee attacks, ranged attacks, and Persona attacks. Oh, and you can also recruit demons if you’re lucky. And yes, you can do an All-Out Attack too, if there’s a large amount of enemies in one room, you can unleash an All-Out Attack against them (see it as like Alliance Attacks from PSMD). You can do fusion too, just like other Persona games, but this time the one who’s doing it is Chro, for some strange and ominous reason, no one from the Velvet Room can reach them, so Chro has taken their place of fusing Personas.

Other game stuff includes; a bookstore that sells items, Memory Goals are basically missions to retrieve a memory for a certain character, Social Links help make characters stronger and their Arcana too.

And (i’m just throwing it here cause i don’t know where else to put this) there are five hard dungeons that are tied to the five protagonists and their friends; they are collectively called The Doors to Remembrance, they hold the core memories of the protagonists. The Door of Identity leads to a distorted school building and it holds Naoya’s core memory; the death of his brother, and they must fight Shadow Naoya to gain it. The Door of Paradox leads to a large shrine with five different colored floors and it holds Tatsuya’s core memory; his choice that led to Eternal Punishment, they must fight Shadow Tatsuya to gain it. The Door of Mortality leads to a dark and eerie tower with chains binding it and it holds Minato’s core memory; his sacrifice to seal away Nyx, they must fight Shadow Minato to gain it. The Door of Self Worth leads to a distorted version of the Midnight Channel and it holds Yu’s core memory; facing the truth, they must fight Shadow Yu to gain it. And The Door of Justice leads to a maze-like hallway, that looks kinda like Mementos, holds relics from all the palaces, and it all leads to a large stage, it holds Ren’s core memory; the false assault charge, they must fight Shadow Ren to gain it.

just wanted to ask (since i never saw it answered on your blogs, or i‘m blind lol) what were/are you biggest inspirations for ats?

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky was a HUGE inspiration for the foundation of Team Star. Also the existence of guilds was taken from PMD Sky and from Fairy Tail; I really liked the idea of people forming alliances and going out on epic quests with lots of magic and elemental powers involved! And the found family trope. So good.

The main conflict between Team Star and the Maligo Army is actually based off of a story game I used to play with my best friend when we were kids! We developed this insanely intricate plot with lots of betrayal and fun plot twists, also this was with all of my Pokemon plushies so it originated as a Pokemon story. I took the basic concepts and expanded on them over the years and integrated it into ATS. But that’s only a part of ATS’ overall story arc as there’s tons of different shit going on with all of the characters, so the specifics differ from person to person.

A lot of my OCs are inspired from already existing characters in fiction that I have strong attachments to lol so if you look closely for most of them you can probably tell who their designs were influenced by :’D I’m very fond of taking basic character traits and putting my own spin on them! Sometimes their backstories are inspired from something or it’s something I come up with myself.

Game: Rescue Theme: Tension and lore Spoilers: Later in fugitive arc

“What are you doing out here?”

I freeze, my whole body tensing up at hearing a voice that wasn’t mine nor Flood’s. The only part of me that continued moving was the wavering flame on my tail.

A flash of white leaps out of the trees ahead, fully revealing itself to me. The figure is mostly white, with a dark blue face and claws. A horn of that color juts out one side of its head. I’m staring down an Absol. “I could ask you that. What are you doing here?”

“I live in these mountains,” the Absol says, “isolated from city Pokémon. I only travel there to warn of great crises.”

“That sounds like a pretty lonely life…” Flood says, his tail drooping.

“I’ll ask again,” the Absol interjects, his tone alarmingly firm. “Why are you here. These mountains are too dangerous for Pokémon to wander through like this.”

“We’re here to climb to the peak of Mt. Freeze and find out the truth about those legends,” I defend, the snow around us melting from the burst of heat from my tail.

“The legend that a human would bring ruin to this world?” the Absol concludes. “I’ve heard of it, but never thought much about it. If it happened, I’d certainly know. Nature has been degrading, but I don’t know of any definite connection to a human.”

“Guess we all have the same question, then,” I comment. “If you live here, could you show us the way to Mt. Freeze?”

“Yes,” the Absol says. “But there’s one thing I want to know first. What made you investigate this legend?”

I hesitate. Should I tell this random Absol that I’m a human, and probably the one the legend’s talking about? Or should I leave that part out and say we’re just curious?

“Curiosity, mostly,” Flood answers, sparing me the need to resolve that dilemma. “I mean, no one’s really seen a human, right? So how would a legend like that even start?”

The Absol glances to the side in thought.

“And in the other legends, humans are spoken of with reverence. They would unite us in times of mutual peril, forming powerful alliances to bring down even the most monumentous of foes. How could someone like that be the cause of this world falling apart?” Flood continues.

My eyes widen. I wasn’t aware humans had such a special place in these Pokémon’s folklore.

“And to top it all off, I actually have met a human. He’s right in front of you. Yeah, I know he’s a Charmander now, but he was human before that. And he’s one of the nicest, most selfless Pokémon I’ve met!”

The Absol recoils in shock. “You’re…you’re a human?” he says, his tone as low as a surprised growl.

“I am,” I affirm. “And that’s the other reason we’re looking into this. We wanted to find out, once and for all, whether there’s any truth to claims that I’m accidentally bringing about the end of the world.”

The Absol softly dips his head, claws digging into the snowy ground beneath. “Follow me. I will take you to the peak of Mt. Freeze.”

So I think I’ve finally thought of an idea for the story of the PMD x Dynasty Warriors thing - or at least a ROUGH idea:

Basically, the story would involve the organization called the Light Rangers Alliance, who’s purpose is to serve as surveyors or protectors of various regions across the land from various threats, like bandits, natural disasters, etc! They’d essentially have bases across the landmass that you would gather resources for to fortify so you can properly deal with various problems as they come up, and you can even be dispatched to other regions to help out with their problems. I’m still working out the details, but that’s giiiiist

Smash Ultimate should have a “Rescue/Exploration/Adventurer/Expedition/Whatever Team” as an Echo Fighter for Pokémon Trainer. The switch out could be done by quickly flashing a (fake) PMD menu of Switching Leader+Selecting “Stay There” for the two out of the three you’re currently not fighting as. Then the Final Smash has them all working together and use either a Team Attack (form Gates) or Alliance Attack (from Super)
