Strangely, the recurring trope of amnesia in the PMD hero, is part of the appeal to me. Part of the... desire, the dream, I suppose.

To have gobs upon gobs of pain just. severed. To not weigh on my soul anymore. The mental pain replaced with a fresh page, right as the change in body rolls a new chance, for a body without the maladies that made the old body a living hell to inhabit.

Just fully, whisked out of the prison, of oneself. Putting the new life at risk to save the world or whatever, simply the price of admission. What a person would owe, as a reasonable exchange for the benefit.

Why did it only just now occur to me that going by Legends Arceus confirming that Pokémon shrink down that it could mean like in PMD when your teammates faint and you can revive them later with a Revive All Orb, it means like you basically just stick your teammate in your bag until they’re conscious again?

New host, new Pokésona! (Especially since, out of my system, I'm someone who never actually picked/made one).

I took a page out of Rokko's book for hers, going with a three-way fusion. I knew I wanted a cat in there somewhere and was like "you know what, I've kicked down myself enough, I'm just gonna go for Mew! I've earned it!" Plus I feel like what I and Mystery have come up with here strikes a good enough balance between contrasting with, yet pairing up well with, Rokko's Pokésona. Anyway, thank you!

Wish Fulfillment aspects of PMD:

Get to be a cute creature with superpowers

Can recover handily from even the most severe injuries by eating 1 from 2 kinds of citrus fruits

Can eat citrus fruits and other fruits without becoming violently ill and this one is probably only wish fulfillment to a select few like me and-

Despite my overall opinions on Dusknoir and Nuzleaf, people who can forgive Dusknoir but not Nuzleaf are funny to me. I don’t mean this in a mean way it’s just all I can imagine is “I can excuse attempted murder but I’m drawing the line at mind-control influence”.

#my own thoughts on it are like i dont forgive nuzleaf or future!dusknoir #while for present!dusknoir or really in my headcanon hasnt even evolved to duskboir since they necer did specify his past that much #its more complicated like... knowing future him would do evil things but its a future that the heroes averted from happening #so its like i guess not forgiveness per se? #and then of course sky then also threw a big wrench by making the bad-future version of him and the other future trio still exist dkdjddj #honestly sky special episode 5 is an emotional and great story #but i dont consider its ending canon to my pmd headcanon just out of how much this complicates how to consider dusknoir imo #pmd spoilers
