“I am sorry that I did not contact you.” – not that she really could, but she added no explanation to that simple statement – “I did not know that I would not be coming back. I was just to leave for the holidays, but then my father decided I am not coming back.” – Nunnally hoped that such an explanation would be enough. Yuriko knew who her father was, so she should also be aware, his orders were not to be defied or even discussed. Even if it wasn’t enough for her friend, Nunnally did not have any better explanation. And she did not want to lie.

A genuine smile appeared on the blond girl’s lips, when Yuriko accepted her invitation for a walk. It was nice to walk with Yuriko again. As if no time passed between the winter holidays and now.

“Congratulations Yuriko! You should be happy at the university. You always liked literature.” – Nunnally noticed as Yuriko played with her ring; should she ask about it? Or should she simply give Yuriko an opportunity to talk if she felt like that. Nunnally did not want to pry, but it seemed like an engagement ring… Poor Yuriko!

“Yes, I was busy…helping my father…” – not a lie, but probably not the truth Yuriko would expect; but it was all Nunnally was ready to say – “No, I am not planning to come back to school. School...did not seem to entirely match my needs… I will most likely start the university this year. But it has not been decided, yet. I might simply stay in Makai…” – a bit of sadness in her voice – “But even if I stay here in the human world, we will probably not meet as often as I would like. It’s…I have been admitted to the University of Tokyo, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology. As well as to Tohoku University… But most likely it would be Tokyo.” – yes, close to her father, but Nunnally was not sure if Yuriko knew about his human occupation, so she’d rather keep quiet about it.

“But you look so happy! And you have a beautiful ring over there…that seems important for you…” – hopefully that was not impolite.

My Skyrim Dragonborn, Vakna True-Thunder shortly after turning an unlucky band of highwaymen into a three-course meal. Wanted to make an illustration alluding to her history with lycanthropy and the Daedric Prince of Prey over the course of a decade. After all, where is the sport in hunting an unarmed prisoner on the run--a young messenger for the Jarl of Windhelm himself who had yet to see even her sixteenth winter? The pursuing Dominion jailers and hounds never had any intention of playing fair, blood moon or not, so Hircine offered the desperate girl the power to even these odds and make his forest a proper hunting ground once more. And in years since, she has certainly never let this power go to waste.

i have an illustrated book i want to be working on but i'm sick and my brain can only focus on jade harley

Hey does anyone have tips for keeping fleas off the damn dog while depressed and not earning your own money?

They're taking up residence on her tail.

Okay but I need to know what the people who have only watched c3 think about Beau and Caleb because I've been rotating them in my head for three years too long to be objective anymore but like. Getting to see them through the eyes of a new party just reminded me that even though so much of our delight in C2 was focused around the constant indignity of the Nein, they are objectively a flickering metronome between "how the fuck are these people alive" and "this is the most hyper competent group of mercenaries I've ever seen" and I just. Do they know. Do they know that Beau is so fucking cool. Are there people who learned these two npcs have a whole campaign and want to learn more about them. I look at these two and see a montage of tiefling dicks and red eyes and promising to kill the other if something goes wrong. I see Caleb smearing mud and bat shit on Beau's face and Beau just resigned even as she makes the most aggrieved and annoyed sounds, Beau hauling Caleb's dissociated ass over her own skinny shoulder and walking him to safety. I look at them and see 500 hours and more of the empire siblings. The weeks and months they spent going from hating the parts of themselves they saw in each other to loving in the other what they still struggled with in themselves. I see chosen siblings, best friends. What do other people see?
