I liked the part with the hollandaise sauce.
Something about this movie just didn't work for me. It had some fun moments, but there was a general lack of tension and excitement that you'd expect from this genre of movie, which really dulled its edge.
The plot was kind of incoherent; I mean it all mostly made sense, scene to scene, but the whole thing lacked a clear motive or direction. There was an attempt to rely on witty, inane dialogue, but the writing wasn't good enough to support it. The prison rape joke in particular should certainly have been left on the cutting room floor.
Olivia Cooke obviously stole the show, with all the scenes focusing on her eponymous Pixie character being the best parts of the movie. She brought great energy to the role, and if the others had been able to keep up with that, this could have been a far better movie.
The only other person even close to matching her was the ever-great Colm Meaney, playing her "retired gangster with a soft side" step-father. The bit where he was mad at his other daughter for vaping in the house, because it wasn't a real cigarette, was hilarious.
The thing with the gang of priests was amusing for about two minutes, and then quickly wore out its welcome. Alec Baldwin as their leader was sort of funny, but not enough to carry that particular concept.
There were a few good twangy guitar moments in the score, and the title screen even made a play on "Once upon a time in the West... of Ireland.", but the movie didn't actually build on the Western theme in any meaningful way.
Finally, I have to mention that when one flashback sequence ended, they decided to transition scenes with Olivia Cooke's face in close-up. You'd think this would involve green-screening her so they could swap out the background, or simply fading to her in the same pose, right?
Nope. They used the worst, most grotesque looking morphing effect I have ever seen, momentarily displaying an unrecognisably warped amalgamation of two different faces. An awful decision, and truly baffling that anyone thought it was a good idea.
A movie with unrealised potential, overly concerned with being something it really wasn't. It was okay, though.

Good Lord, the 1996 Emma is so poorly executed that Mr. Elton is the most likeable character.

#ridspoilers - "Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Pixies"
Grandpa folded his hands in his lap. “Poof… I’ve had a good, long run. Most gynes don’t live to see their grandkids like I have. I’m getting older. Steadily weaker. I keep up appearances, but those only run the business so long, know what I’m saying? I’ll be strong a little while longer, but one day it’ll have to end. And that’s where you come in.” “What?” “I want you to kill me. Not yet,” he amended quickly when my brows shot up, raising his hand. “Not for a while still. But consider this your head’s up. I don’t want some random challenger taking me down, which is exactly what’s gonna happen if I don’t retire before long. And if I do retire, no one will accept me passing the business to a kid your age. When I go, I want it to be with glory. You should be the one.” “That’s why you had me take all the grappling classes.” He inclined his head. “You have to make it look real. No, you have to let it be real. If you earn the business by winning it from me, everyone accepts you as my heir regardless of your age. If I pass it without a fight, nobody will.”
