A continuation of this ⬆️⬆️ story
I felt like writing again, so I decided I wanted to continue this story. It's all fluff, so I hope you enjoy.

Prying her mouth away from his nose proved to be more difficult than he'd thought, but after his third attempt, Agustín succeeded. Shifting her on his hip, Agustín rubbed the little girls' back and bounced her up and down, trying to soothe her distress.
It didn't work.
Agustín rushed out of the bedroom, determined to get to the kitchen before his bebé's whimpers turned into full-blown cries. Julieta didn't need anything else to worry about.
He would take care of this.
He pulled back to get a better look at the little girl. Her cheeks were flushed, her wide doe eyes glistened with unshed tears. Her mouth was set in an adorable little pout that broke his heart, because he knew his baby was in pain.
"Oh, it's ok, Miraboo. Papí's here. Papí's gonna take good care of you, I promise. We're gonna make everything better."
Trudging into the kitchen, he found Félix, Pepa, Dolores, and Alma. Little Camilo was sitting in his high chair, eagerly awaiting his meal.
"Buenos días, la Familia! Do we have any cold pineapple cores still around? I think this little one here is teething!"
Alma walked over to the sink where they were standing, and lightly pinched the little girl's cheek. Mirabel let out an agitated whine and turned her head away.
"Ahh, yes, I'd definitely say she's teething. Dolores had mentioned her using your nose as a chew toy upstairs, so I took the liberty of planning ahead. We don't have anymore pineapple cores, but I did cut up some mango pits. They're in the cooler."
"Oh, thank you Alma! And thank you Dolores!"
Dolores simply smiled at him.
After placing the little girl in her highchair and putting her butterfly bib on, Agustín felt a tap on his shoulder. It was Félix, a cold mango pit ready to go, in his hand.
"Here you go, Cuñado."
"Thanks, bro."
Taking the pit from his Cuñado, Agustín then placed it on the little tray in front of his daughter.
Mirabel looked at the new object with hesitation. The color seemed to fascinate her, so she pressed on and picked it up. Confused by the texture and the sliminess of the pit, she dropped it back on the table and looked at Agustín for reassurance.
Agustín pulled his seat closer to her highchair.
"It's okay, Miraboo."
Putting one sticky hand in her mouth, she studied the pit in utter fascination.
But then, her eyes widened to giant saucers. She looked at her hand, then the pit, and back and forth, and then to him again.
Grasping the pit with both of her tiny hands, little Mirabel opened her mouth wide and attempted to fit the entire object in her mouth. They all watched in amusement as her eyes grew even bigger, her entire body in pleasantly surprised shock.
Pulling the mango pit from her mouth once more, Mirabel squealed, squirmed and banged her little fists on her tray in absolute delight.
"Mmm, is that good, Miraboo? You like it?" Scooting closer, Agustín leaned toward Mirabel as if he were ready to take a bite. "Can papí have some. Do you want to share with papí?"
With an annoyed huff, Mirabel held the pit close to her chest and twisted away from Agustín.
The whole room erupted into laughter.
Félix let out a bellowing laugh. "Well, that was a no! At least we know who won't share their mangoes with us!"

Abuela's eyes closed as she sucked in a heavy breath, her head bowing a fraction, "Agustín was never meant to die, Hija. He was only to leave the family"
Julieta stared at her mother, agape and horrified as the truth was laid bare.
Mirabel was first to make the connections, to how that could have sounded. "But you never thought to wonder how he understood that statement. He thought you meant Encanto!"
"And Dolores heard everything! She must have tried to get him back!" Pepa seethed, her cloud thundering in rage but her eyes were welled in grief, "You got her killed too, Mama!" __
Agustin leaves AU |
Blackmailed to leave by Abuela, Agustin complies but meets trouble on his way out as leaving Encanto turned out much harder than anticipated, especially when followed by his 6 year old Sobrina, Dolores before they're pushed too far to go back and leave the family fumbling in the aftermath of their sudden disappearance. Assumptions are made, memoires are lost and new lives are build.
Of course, the past doesn't stay buried forever...

Chapter 2
(Present Day; 3rd POV)
A yawn escaped (Y/N)'s mouth as he stretched and made his way towards the kitchen to help his mama make breakfast."Buenos dias, Mami." The woman smiled at the early riser. "Buenos dias, mijo. Sleep well?" she asked, turning back to the areaps. "Yup, til Casita threw me out of bed." The shutters open and shut, similar to someone laughing. "You're not sorry in the slightest, are you?" you deadpanned, as you snuck a huevos pericos.
"When you finish that, why don't you help me with the calentado. Everyone will be up soon, and we need to get ready for Antonio's ceremony tonight." Julieta then turned back to the tamales. You swallowed and dusted your hands off and listened as your youngest hermana, Mirabel slid down the stairs with a cheery, "Morning, Abuelo!" She ran off to catch the plates, missing one. "Oh!" "I got it!" The oldest Madrigal grandson caught the plate with a smug grin. "Careful, Mira." "Thanks, (Y/N)."
"Hey! When's the magic Gift happening?" called a kid who had access to WAYY too much coffee. "My cousin's ceremony is tonight." Mirabel replied, setting half of the table as you did the rest.
"What's his Gift?" asked a little girl. "We're gonna find out, ninos!" (Y/N) waved, walking away, to find his mama.
"What's your Gift?" asked the boy again. "Who's asking?" Mirabel asked, playfully eyeing the kids with a suspicious eyebrow.
"US!" The three made faces back, their grins ruining their mock anger.
"Well, 'us', I can't just talk about myself. I'm only part of the amazing Madrigals."
"Who's all the amazing Madrigals?!" They screamed.
Mirabel playfully rolled her eyes, "Ah, you're not gonna leave me alone, are ya? Casita! Help me out!" With that, the teen burst into song.
"Drawers!"
"Floors!"
"Doors! Let's go!"
The magical house began glowing and moving in rhythm.
"This is our home, we've got every generation. A rhythm of its own design.
This is my family, a perfect constellation; so many stars and everybody gets to shine, WHOA!
But let's be clear, Abuela runs this show WHOA!"
The younger Madrigals danced in front of their doors as Mirabel continued singing.
"She led us here so many years ago WHOA!
And everyday our family blessings grow WHOA!
It's a lot, you've simply got to know, so!"
Mirabel opened the door and her family walked out in front of her, everyone with a smile on their face.
Welcome to the Family Madrigal! The home of the family Madrigal! (We're on our way!)
Where all the people are fantastical and magical, I'm part of the Family Madrigal!"
(Y/N) laughed as Mirabel caught up and nudged her. "Aren't you cheerful this morning?" He said before walking away to begin his chores.
"Oh my gosh, it's them! It's them!" The kids from before cornered Mirabel and she began to explain the different powers of her family.
"My Tia Pepa, her mood affects the weather...when she's unhappy, well the tempature gets weird.
My Tio Bruno--(we don't talk about Bruno!)
They say he say the future, one day he disappeared, oh!
And that's my mom Julieta, here's her deal whoa!
The truth is she can heal you with a meal whoa!
If you're impressed, imagine how I feel, MoM!
Welcome to the Family Madrigal
The Home of the Family Madrigal
(Hey, coming through!)
I know it sounds a bit fantastical and magical
But I'm part of the Family Madrigal
Two guys fell in love with the Family Madrigal
And now they're part of the Family Madrgial
So yeah, Tio Felix married Pepa
and my dad married Julieta
That's how Abuela became an Abuela Madrigal,
Let's Go, Let's go!*
We swear to always help those around us
And earn the miracle that somehow found us
The town keeps growing, the world keeps turning
But work and dedication will keep the miracle burning
And each new generation must keep the miracle burning."
"Wait, whose the sister and whose a cousin?"
"There's so many people!"
"How do you keep them all straight?"
"Okay, okay, okay
So many kids in our house
So, let's turn the sound
You know why?
I think it's time for a GRANDKID ROUND-UP
GRANDKID ROUND-UP!
Cousin Dolores can hear a pin drop!
Camilo shapeshifts
Antonio gets his gift today!
My older siblings
Isabela, (Y/N), and Lusia
One strong, one graceful, one kind
Perfect in everyway
(Isabela)
Grows a flower the town goes wild
(Isabela)
She's the perfect golden child
((Y/N))
(Y/N) is the kindest of all
((Y/N))
His waves will never let you fall
(Luisa! Luisa!)
Luisa's super strong,
the beauty and the brawn do no wrong!
That's life in the family Madrgial!
(whoa!)
Now you know the Family Madrigal
(whoa)
Where all the people are
Fantastical and magical
(whoa!)
That's who we are in the
Family Madrigal
Adios!"
"Oh!" She gapsed seeing the girl behind her suddenly.
"But what's your gift?"
"Ha! Well I gotta go
The life of a Madrigal (whoa!)
But now you all know the family Madrigal(whoa!)
I never meant this to get autobiographical
Just to review the family Madrigal, let's go!
(What about Mirabel?)
It starts with Abuela and then
Tia Pepa, she handles the weather
(What about Mirabel?)
My mom Julieta can make you feel better with just one arepa
(But what about Mirabel?)
My dad Agustin,
Well, he's accident prone but he means well
(What about Mirabel?)
Hey, you said you wanna know what everyone does
I've got sisters, a brother and cousins and
(Mirabel!)
My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today
(Mirabel)
My cousin Dolores can hear this whole chorus a mile away
(Mirabel)
Look it's Mr.Mariano
Hey you can marry my sister if you wanna
Between you and me, she's kind of a prima donna
Yo, I've said too much
and thank you but I really gotta go
(Mirabel)
My family's amazing
(Mirabel)
And I'm in my family, so
(Mirabel)
Well..."
"MIRABEL!"

Sinners
Julieta just wants to get railed.
Camilo just wants to sleep.
At least one of them gets what they want.
Agustín is awoken by someone trying to reach a hand down his underwear. His eyes flutter open to see his wife staring openly at him with an absolutely evil look on her face.
"Julieta" He hisses, "What are you doing?!"
Julieta gives him a wolfish grin, but doesn't say a word. Agustín almost chokes on air when he feels his wife wrap her hand around his shaft, and pulls his dick out of his pajama pants. His mouth has gone dry.
"Julieta, we're in a church. Our children are meters away. We can't be doing this here!"
Julieta, still saying nothing, lets go of him, grabs the blanket, gets up and starts walking. She abruptly turns around, beckoning a confused and befuddled Agustín to follow her. He puts his… stuff back in place and grabs their pillows (just in case).
She leads him through several hallways and up a couple flights of stairs before they come to a heavy duty steel door.
Julieta opens the door and they're on… the roof? She smirks devilishly at him.
"T-t-he roof? Why are we on the roof?"
She's still smirking.
Julieta turns around, wraps her arms around him, grabs his ass, and pulls them flush against each other. Agustín flushes and gulps. She whispers seductively in his ear.
"Well, papí, we're not in the church anymore. And no one can hear us. "
He can feel all the blood rushing to his cock. He grinds his hips against hers, teasing her. Julieta whimpers.
"Oh, I like the sound of that. Just one question?"
"Yes?"
"How did you get that mattress up here?"
"Oh, that." She said airily. "Luisa helped bring it up. I told her we wanted to stargaze tonight. She believed me." She shrugged.
"Oh you naughty, naughty girl!" Agustín laughed as he kissed her passionately and fell onto the mattress.

Camilo grunted and groaned as he tossed and turned, trying to sleep. He let out a rather loud sigh as he flopped back onto the mattress.
"Ugh, why can't I sleep?!" He groaned.
He thought he heard someone shuffling around but didn't care too much to check. He grumbled something unintelligible and tried to get back to sleep. He tried counting sheep, counting backwards, doing breathing exercises; anything to help him get to sleep. Nothing worked.
He tried closing his eyes again. Through his eyelids, he felt someone standing over him. Camilo snapped eyes open and saw a shadow.
"AHHHHHH!!!!"
" Shhhh!! Keep your voice down!! People are trying to sleep!" His Tío Bruno hissed.
"Well I'm sorry! You scared the living daylights out of me!"
Bruno ignored him.
"Come with me." Bruno waved his hand for Camilo to follow.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
As they were walking out, they didn't see that a certain couple's mattress was empty. Soon enough, they'll both wish they had.

They finally pass through a series of hallways and flights of stairs when they come to a heavy steel door.
Camilo turns 0to his uncle in confusion. "The roof? Why are we on the roof?"
Bruno turns to him.
"The quiet helps soothe me. I'm used to being isolated, all the time. I'm not used to hearing so many sounds at night, while I'm trying to sleep. It's calming, being up here, where there's only the sounds of the winds rolling, or the crickets chirping. Sounds of nature. I thought it might help you too."
Camilo gives him a look that Bruno can't quite read. "Thanks, tío. I appreciate it, I really do. Camilo flings his arms around his uncle in a crushing hug.
"Let's go."
Bruno opens the heavy door. In a few minutes, he'll wish he hadn't.
They step out onto the roof. Bruno doesn't hear anything, at first. Then he heard it.
Moans. Loud moans. Bruno knew who those moans belonged to, and they weren't Pepa's. You see people tended to think Pepa was the wild one in bed, and maybe she was, but she wasn't that loud. Now his sister Julieta, on the other hand, was LOUD. VERY LOUD . Yes, prim, proper demure Julieta was as they say "A lady on the streets but a freak in the sheets." Bruno had lost count at how many times his sister and her husband came down for family breakfast, STILL unaware of just how loud they were.
The moans only continued to increase in tempo and volume. Bruno cringed and turned to his nephew, "Heey, sorry kid, you know what? Maybe we should save this for another night? Hey! I have an idea! Let's go for a walk! Yeah! That sounds like a good idea, right? A walk? Yeah, let's do that! How about it?"
Bruno was suddenly feeling very skittish. Was Camilo really not hearing this? How was he not hearing this? How could anyone not hear this?
Camilo ignored him. Seriously, this boy could be so dense sometimes; it was surely going to get him hurt somewhere down the line. Like in the next 5 minutes…
Camilo looked at him in confusion. "Tío, you dragged me all the way up here at 2 AM, the least you can do is keep your word!"
Camilo pushed past him before Bruno even got the chance to respond. He got more and more anxious the further onto the roof Camilo went.
Bruno heard a shrieking ""FUCK! I'M SO CLOSE!! OH MY GOD!! ""
He saw Camilo freeze in utter shock.
Oh. He saw them.
And then a disgusted, "OH MY GOD! MY EYES!! MY EARS!! "
Then, a thud, and Julieta gasping, trying to cover herself with a blanket. " Camilo?! What are you doing here?!"
"I'm up here with Tío Bruno! He brought me up here because I couldn't sleep!! What are you doing here?! Actually wait, don't answer that, I already know, unfortunately!"
Bruno definitely blocked out the rest of that conversation. He wanted no part in it. At all.

Meanwhile…

After a few minutes of intense groping, grinding, and more than passionate kissing, Julieta had Agustín pinned on his back.
She had the waistband of his pajama pants gripped in her tiny hands. She started to slowly pull them down, never taking her eyes off of her husband.
Agustín groaned as she groped his crotch through his underwear. His breath hitched when she began to pull his boxers down his legs, slower than she'd ever done before.
"You're just intent on torturing me tonight, aren't you, mi amor?"
Julieta gave him a seductive smirk. "Oh, maybe a little. But you'll soon get what you desire. You just have to be patient. "
She wrapped her hand around her husband's shaft. He whimpered.
Agustín's hips twitched as he felt her lick up the underside of his shaft. His breath hitched when she stuck his tip in her mouth. She was giving him that look.
Looking at him like he was a damn piece of meat through those long, luscious eyelashes. He groaned.
He moaned and gripped her hair when he felt her take his entire length in his mouth. She reached under his buttocks to pull him even further into her mouth.
He could feel her tongue swirl around his shaft and her cheeks hollow out as he grew inside her mouth. He pressed her head further down when he felt Julieta cup his balls.
He knew he was close when he started to buck into her mouth and felt his balls tighten.
He came with a groan and she took every inch of him and every drop of his cum until he was sucked dry and boneless.
"Was that good for you?" Julieta climbed on him like a panther stalking its prey.
Agustín was still trying to catch his breath. "Oh, it was so good for me, amor. Now let me make it good for you. "
He pulled her up, so she was straddling his hips. "You're wearing too many clothes. Let's even the score a little bit here."
Agustín slowly started to lift her nightgown up, inch by inch, when he came to see what she was wearing underneath. Or rather, what she wasn't wearing underneath.
He laughed, "Oh you little devil. Is this for me?" He brushed his fingers along her slit, very lightly. Julieta quivered. "Just for me?" He nibbled on Julieta's earlobe.
Julieta let out a strained "Yes."
She pulled the nightgown over her head. She was finally laid bare to him.
Agustín pulled her into his lap. He inserts one, two, three fingers into her entrance. He swallowed her moans in a heated, open mouthed kiss.
He pulled his fingers out from her, and put them in her mouth. "Taste yourself."
She sucked his fingers dry.
Julieta felt all the heat in her body travel downwards when Agustín rubbed his tip through her folds.
"Don't tease." She growled. She felt even more heated when she saw his smirk. She ground her hips against his.
Julieta was caught by surprise when Agustín entered her. They both moaned in unison. It had been far too long. His wife was truly a genius. He would've never thought to bring this mattress up here.
She looked like a vision, with her long, curly hair down, her head tilted back in utter pleasure, the moonlight casting an ethereal glow on her skin. She was beautiful. He couldn't believe she was his.
She rode him hard, grinding and bouncing on his cock. She pulled on her nipples, squeezed her breasts and let out a loud moan.
Agustín bent his legs, braced his feet on the mattress, and began to plow into her. Julieta couldn't keep her head upright. She began to shriek.
"Oh my god, Agustín, por dios , you feel so good !!" He plowed into her harder.
He reached up and rubbed her clit. She writhed and ground onto his hips even more.
"Oh my GOD! Agustín, fuck!! Yes!"
He grabbed her hips and slammed them down as he pistoned his own hips upward, making Julieta shout and tremble in ecstacy.
"YES! YES! Oh, God, right there, right there, right there, right there, YES! Oh my god, AGUSTÍN !!"
Her pants reached a fever pitch, turning into high-pitched squeals of pleasure.
"FUCK! I'M SO CLOSE!! OH MY GOD!! "-
"OH MY GOD! MY EYES!! MY EARS!! "
Agustín was so startled, he bucked his hips hard , and she went flying off of his lap. She vaguely remembered her husband muttering "Mierda" as he tripped and fumbled, trying to get his clothes back on without their nephew seeing his… parts.
Julieta frantically tried to cover herself with the blanket. She could still feel her wetness in between her thighs. She crossed her legs under the blanket and tried not to whimper. She was so close to her orgasm and then… this. It had been so long since she and her husband were intimate, through no fault of their own. Julieta couldn't help it, she was upset.
" Camilo?! What are you doing up here?!"
"I'm up here with Tío Bruno! He brought me up here because I couldn't sleep!! What are you doing here?! Actually wait, don't answer that, I already know why , unfortunately!"
Julieta didn't know what to say to that. On one hand, she felt for her nephew. On the other hand, she really, really wanted him to leave, so she could finish having her way with her husband. Her pussy clenched at the thought of it.
She was about to open her mouth to speak when Agustín interrupted her. "Bruno's here? What's Bruno doing here?"
Camilo groaned.
"Nope. Nope. No. I want no part in this. Bruno turned to Camilo. "I told you we should go back! I told you! As soon as we stepped on the roof I told you! As soon as we stepped on the roof, I heard them!! How could you not hear them?! They're so loud, they probably woke half of the Encanto!!"
Agustín sputtered. Julieta blushed scarlet.
"Come on, guys! W-we weren't that loud! Were we?"
Camilo threw his hands in the air, exasperated. " You weren't! She was! " He said, pointing to Julieta. "I am scarred for life!! You guys are worse than my parents!!"
Bruno turns to Camilo again. "Ok kid, I'm sorry, I think it's time we get going now. It's late."
"I don't know what's worse, me having nightmares because I'm scarred for life, or me being sleep deprived because I'm scarred for life!! I'M SCARRED FOR LIFE!!"
Bruno pulled Camilo towards the door and turned and waved awkwardly.
"Uh, bye."
The door slammed.
Julieta and Agustín looked at each other. They didn't know whether to burst into fits of uncontrollable laughter, or die of embarrassment.
Julieta gathered herself and grabbed her slippers to make a run for the door. Agustín clasped his hand around her wrist, stopping her.
"Where are you going?"
She sighed in defeat, pouted, and sat down on the mattress. "Well the mood is ruined. I was just thinking we should go back down and sleep while we can. It's almost 3AM."
Agustín, who was sitting on the mattress, grabbed both of her hands to pull her down, so she was sitting between his legs, her head resting on his chest. He placed two fingers under her chin and tilted her head up to look at him.
"The mood is only ruined if you let it be ruined. Amor, you went through all this trouble for us to finally get some alone time. It'd be a shame to let it go to waste because of a stupid embarrassing encounter. How many times do you think Camilo has walked in on his own parents?"
"You know what, you might be right."
Agustín crossed his arms over his bare chest. "Of course I'm right. I'm always right."
Julieta snorted, "Sure you are, Amor."
She watched him as he pulled his pants back down. She squealed in surprise when he roughly pulled her into his lap, pulling the blanket from her naked body. Her skin erupted in goosebumps and she shivered when he inserted three fingers into her folds again.
He kissed her neck. "You know I'm right." His hot breath on her neck made Julieta shake even more. She didn't even know what he was talking about at this point, she just knew she needed to chase the high that she was currently on. She rolled her hips down on his hand. He swallowed her whines in a fervent kiss and pulled his hand out of her.
"Taste yourself."
For the second time that night, Julieta sucked her arousal clean off his hand, staring at him openly with those wide princess eyes she knew he loved. She surged forward and fused their lips in a searing kiss. She whined again when he stroked his tip through her sopping wet folds and let out a groan of relief when he entered her.
Their kisses quickly turned feverish when Agustín braced his feet on the mattress, and snapped his hips upward at an absolutely feral pace. His arms were wrapped around her back, locking her in. She was completely at his mercy. All she could do was wail in ecstacy.
And she did.
"YES! YES! YES! FUCK, AGUSTÍN, YOU FEEL SO GOOD!!"
Hearing his wife's pleasure only spurred him on further. He bucked his hips up into her faster and watched as her eyes screwed shut.
"Say it."
"Ngghnugh."
"What was that? Use your words."
"More papí! Please, more! Please, please, please, please, I need more!!"
He snapped his hips up once more and drove into her like a jackhammer in overdrive. She howled.
"You fill me up so good Papí!! OH FUCK!!"
Agustín ran his hand down her back, slowly, until his hand rested on her ass. He squeezed and groped the supple flesh, then raised his hand and brought it down, hard with a loud crack. He watched, mouth parted as it jiggled and rippled before bringing his hand down again and again.
"MÁS DURO, POR FAVOR!!
"Oh, you like that, hmm?"
" Sí papí! Please duro!!"
Agustín switched hands and struck her other cheek in rapid succession. Julieta let out a loud sobbing moan that picked up in tempo, the faster his hips went. He could feel her become wetter and wetter with every slap.
" Please papí ."
"Please what?"
"Please, please, I'm so close, cum inside me por favor!"
"You want me to cum inside of you, princesa? You're close?"
" Oh sí, oh sí, oh sí, oh sí! Por favor, I want to feel your cum drip down my legs all day, papí."
Agustín growled, "Look at you, my naughty , naughty girl. You really want it?"
"I want it, papí. Please, please, please give it to me." She begged.
Agustín grabbed her face and pulled her into a searing kiss, while his other hand crept down between their bodies to stroke her clit. Julieta didn't take her eyes off of him.
He picked up his pace again, and Julieta pressed her forehead against his, whispered something unintelligible and fused her lips to his again, in an open mouthed, erotic kiss.
Agustín braced his feet against the mattress again and slammed into her once more.
"Oh, FUCK, AGUSTÍN, DIOS, YOU FUCK ME SO GOOD!"
He broke their kiss to take a nipple into his mouth. He was pretty sure that this sent her over the edge, because her keens grew louder and more erratic with every passing second, until they turned into wails of euphoria.
"Please, I'm so close, I'm so close, I'm so close papí ! CUM INSIDE ME POR FAVOR! I need it, I need it, I need it!! "
"Let go, princesa, cum for me, I'll take care of you."
Julieta's moans reached a fever pitch and turned into screams when Agustín pinched her clit and plunged into her with one more hard thrust. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
"YES, YES, YES, FUCK, AGUSTÍN, RIGHT THERE, RIGHT THERE, RIGHT THERE!! YES!!"
Julieta writhed and quivered as Agustín filled her with his release. She trembled as she came down from her own release.
She laid limp on top of him, burying her face in the crook of his neck, still quaking from her orgasm.
Agustín carefully shifted them so they were both lying on their sides. Julieta tightened her arms around him, snuggling closer to her husband. She felt him pull the thin blanket over them and she sighed in contentment. Agustín rubbed his arms down her bare back, pressed a kiss to her head and murmured in her ear, "Amor, we can't stay up here much longer, we're going to have to get up and leave soon."
Julieta whined. "Mmmm, I'm tired."
"I know amor, but we don't want to get caught by anyone when we come back down. I don't want to have to explain this to any of our family members, especially Luisa. "
"Camilo already caught us. I'm sure everyone will know before we even sit down at the breakfast table this morning. He's going to tell everyone anyway . "
Agustín sighed. "I still think we should move now. Mirabel was right. It does look like it's going to rain after all."
Julieta pouted. " Fine. "
Agustín chuckled. "C'mon amor. I'll help you up."
Julieta grunted as Agustín helped her sit upright. He handed her her nightgown and got dressed himself. He grabbed the pillows and the blankets and pulled Julieta to stand up from the mattress. She looked up at the sky. It was beginning to drizzle.
Julieta gave him an exasperated look. Agustín smirked. "See, I told you, I'm always right."
Julieta rolled her eyes. "Let's just go, before it starts pouring. Here, I'll take the pillows and the blankets. You can take the mattress."
"Why?"
"Well, I'm not too keen on ruining a perfectly good mattress by getting it wet from the rain all because we didn't feel like picking it up and moving it!"
Agustín placed his hands on Julieta's shoulders, and kissed her on the forehead, placating her. "Ok, ok, I'll carry it down, don't worry mí ángel."
" Please be careful. I don't have my gift to heal you anymore. I can't help you if you get hurt like I used to."
"Don't worry, amor, I won't fall."
Surprisingly, they made it back without any accidents, completely dry, without anyone else (besides Camilo and Bruno) catching them. They climbed back into bed, curled around one another, and fell asleep, almost missing breakfast.
Later, they'd wish they actually did miss breakfast.
All hell would break loose.

That Morning…

Camilo walks into the church kitchen, grumbling and tired. His whole family is already in the kitchen, save for his Tío Bruno, and Julieta and Agustín. ' I wonder why?' He thought sarcastically.
He fell into the chair beside Mirabel, still grumbling. His prima turned to him, "Rough night?" She asked, mockingly.
"You have no idea. And you do not want to know."
Isabela places a plate of arepas on the table. "What doesn't Mira want to know?"
"You don't want to know either."
Bruno chose this moment to walk into the kitchen, Julieta and Agustín following not far behind him.
He smirked. This would be the perfect moment to embarrass them in front of everyone.
Julieta was pouring coffee at the counter. Agustín had his arm around her waist. She whispered in his ear, 'I can still feel you dripping down my thighs.' She looked at him with a smirk. His tío suddenly blushed hard and gulped audibly. Camilo looked at them in disgust.
"Actually, none of you want to know."
Pepa leaned against the counter. "Ok, now I'm interested. What do none of us want to know?"
"Isabela, do you know how loud your parents are?"
Julieta choked on her coffee.
Agustín blushed scarlet.
Pepa and Félix erupted into peals of laughter.
Abuela turned around and pretended to be more interested in finding the orange juice in the refrigerator than the conversation that was about to unfold in front of her.
Dolores was frozen in shock.
Mirabel buried her head in her hands and groaned ' Why?'
Isabela looked at her primo, then her parents and back and forth again.
"No. No. Nope. Hell no. I want no part in this conversation. I've lost my appetite. Goodbye. "
"Where are you going?"
"Somewhere far away from here!"
"It's raining though!"
"So I'll get wet!"
She stalked out the door, leaving absolutely no room for arguments.
"I caught them on the roof! Tio Bruno took me to the roof because I couldn't sleep, but then we saw them, now I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep again!"
Luisa looked confused. "You got traumatized by seeing them stargaze? Oh! How was that, by the way? I bet it was so romantic!"
Mirabel stared at her hermana in utter shock. She absolutely couldn't believe her naivety.
"I-wha-Luisa, no. You don't actually believe that, do you? Please tell me you don't actually believe that?"
Luisa looked like she wanted to cry. She wanted to believe they were just stargazing, she really did, but in the back of her mind, she knew that wasn't what they were doing. Luisa looked at her younger sister.
"Wha-then what were they doing?"
Camilo groaned. "THEY WERE HAVING SEX! VERY LOUD SEX!! It was TRAUMATIZING!!"
Luisa's spoon clattered onto her plate. She got up from her chair so fast, it fell to the floor with a loud bang.
"I-you-wha-EW! That's why you wanted me to help you bring that mattress to the roof?! I can't believe you guys!"
She ran from the room in complete humiliation.
"Well that went well." Mirabel deadpanned.
" Mirabel!"
"What? You two have no room to talk. You did this to yourselves."
"Well it's Tío Bruno's fault too! If he hadn't taken me on that roof, I wouldn't be so traumatized!"
Bruno stalked over to them, waving his hands in a disagreeing manner.
"Oh-no, no, no, no! You don't get to blame this on me! I heard them as soon as we stepped out onto the roof! I tried to get you to turn around! You didn't hear them! How did you not hear them! You wouldn't listen! You barreled right over to them with absolutely no hesitancy! If you had listened to me and gone on the walk like I suggested, we would've heard them from the ground, and you would've thanked me for saving you from being traumatized! This is as much your fault as it is everyone else's! So don't pin it on me!"
Pepa was still laughing. "Now that sounds about right!"
Julieta pouted.
Pepa turned to her sister. "Why are you upset hermana? Are you mad because we know about your secret spot?"
"Yes!"
Pepa and Félix looked at each other and snickered
Bruno turned to his mamá. "Mamá, are you ok? You're awfully quiet."
Alma couldn't believe this. Did her daughter think she wanted more grandkids?! Her children were almost 51, for crying out loud! She was way too old for this. "I am an old woman. I am too old to be dealing with this. Certainly way too old for more grandchildren! Are you going in that direction, because I certainly hope you're not!"
Alma sighed and turned from her place at the stove. "I'm just very tired of having these conversations. I don't know how many more times I can explain that I don't want or need to know about any of your sex lives. I don't need to see it. I don't need to hear it. That is between you and your spouses. I think I speak for everyone here, on that matter."
"Y-yes, mamá."
Of course, Pepa, ever the shit-stirrer, had to impart her 'words of wisdom' upon the family and come up with some smartass comment to annoy her sister with. Oh, joy.
"Mama, you should know by now that none of us are going to listen to you. Juli may seem timid and prim and proper to you, but looks can be deceiving. She may even believe she's going to keep her word to you. But once she gets him alone, forget about it!"
She turned to her sister who, along with her husband, was blushing profusely. "Demure Julieta is all just an act. She's, what do you call it? 'A lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets!'"
" Pepa!"
Julieta and Agustín were now so embarrassed, you could feel the heat on their cheeks.
Félix doubled over in laughter. "Ay, Cuñado! Congratulations on effectively traumatizing mi hijo even more than Pepi and I have! And that's a feat in itself!"
" Papí! I am traumatized ! Stop making light of my horrible situation! All I wanted to do was sleep! Bruno brought me up to the roof because he said the quiet was comforting. I went with it because I really just wanted to sleep! I know now that I should've listened to Tío Bruno, and I should'veturned around, but I didn't, and now, I'm going to be TRAUMATIZED for the rest of eternity and beyond !"
"Ok, now you're just being overdramatic, Milo. It'll always be in the back of your mind, but at one point, you'll get over it and you won't think about it as much."
"You know what, I don't thin-"
Julieta and Agustín looked around sheepishly, "-You know what? We're just gonna go... take a shower... together! To... save water! Yeah! Agustín! Come on!"
She froze in concern at her youngest daughter, who was sitting at the table with her head down, looking quite ill.
"Mira, are you ok? You look... a little green."
"No, I'm not ok ! You two are absolutely disgusting! I am officially scarred for life!"
Mirabel got up from the table, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find some bleach, and bleach my brain... and the shower too, for that matter, after you're done with it! Other people use it, you know! I can't even look at you two right now!"
Mirabel was headed straight for the exit when Camilo barrelled right into her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the kitchen.
"I'm coming with you, prima."
They ran away without looking back.
Antonio had been silently observing the chaotic conversation, until the moment he asked a question that Pepa thought she'd had years to answer. They were apparently not-so-lucky. She was going to kill her sister and brother-in-law. And her husband, for that matter, who was finding this whole conversation very amusing. Pepa wondered how amused Félix'd feel when she castrated him.
Antonio turns to her, eyes wide and innocent.
"Mamí, what does sex mean?"
Pepa sputters.
Felix's laughter gets even louder.
Julieta and Agustín are frozen in shock.
Dolores is silent, anticipating Pepa's answer.
And Bruno and Alma look as if they want to melt into the floor.
Pepa gives Dolores a desperate look, silently begging her eldest child to save her. Their staring contest continues for a few seconds more before Dolores tells her mother exactly what she didn't want to hear.
"Why are you looking at me? I'm not his mamí."
She rushes out of the room. Pepa dies a little more inside.
Agustín and Julieta make a break for the exit to the kitchen. Not on Pepa's watch!
"Get back here Hermana and deal with the consequences of your actions!"
Julieta and Agustín turn around in the hallway.
"He's your child, not mine. I already had to do this three times, so should you!"
"You know, Pepi, she has a point!"
" Shut up Félix!"
"Have fun in your shower!"
"Oh, we will !"
"Well I hope you slip and fall!"
Julieta fired back, "Well you're just jealous because I'm having SEX and you're not!"
Pepa couldn't believe the audacity of her sister being right!
"W-well I can't think of anything to say right now because you're right, but when I do..."
"You'll do what? Come on Tino, let's go have REALLY LOUD SHOWER SEX!!"
Pepa stalked back into the kitchen. Her mother was sitting at the table, her head in her hands. Bruno was sitting back in his chair, head back, staring at the ceiling.
Bruno turned to his mamá, "You know, now would be a really great time to hide in the walls. Forever."
"I would definitely join you."
"Too bad there aren't any walls anymore."
"Maybe I can get Señora Guzman to let us stay in her house for a few days. Just to get away from the family for a bit. Lord knows we need it."
Alma abruptly gets up from the table. "Let's go ask now."
"But it's raining."
Alma gives him a pointed look. The room is deadly silent. Then… a cacophony of moans and groans, coming from the bathroom. Mother and son look at each other. Bruno springs from his chair.
"Let's go."
"Hey! What about us?!"
Bruno turns around and in true Bruno fashion, deadpans, "You'll live."
They leave Pepa standing in the doorway, flabbergasted and stuttering.
"Mamí, you still didn't answer my question!"
Pepa groaned. Of course she had to pay for her sister's sins.

To be continued…

Sneak peek #2 of Chapter 2 of
Birthday Wishes
"Pepa!"
"What, mamá?
"I thought we had two tables!"
"We don't! Well, we did, but not anymore!"
"Pepa, what happened to the second table?!"
"Mamá, what do you think happened to the second table?!"
"I don't know, Pepa! That's why I'm asking you!"
"What do you think happened to the table?! Those two zorras cachondas got to it and broke it!"
...Alma paced around the kitchen, steaming...
"I have already taken a bath in holy water and prayed in my sleep all night! Do I need to get out the sage too?!"
"Yes."
Bruno deadpanned, "I think warding off the evil spirits is a great idea this morning."

Pariah AU | Starting of a disaster | P1
Tumblr media
Julieta shouldn’t have been surprised when Mirabel vanished, and the hours searching had been painfully long; thousands of worries and concerns, the ever-growing feeling of dread that something could quite easily happen to her child… lost in the woods if she went too far.
No one had ever wandered too far and the sight of the mountain split… it was all to easy now for someone to slip away and she wasn’t sure if anyone would survive this far out. Abuela had said the landscape had shifted to the point that…leaving was easier then returning.
Magical design to keep out outside visitors.
Agustín’s hand remained enclosed as their steps crunched through the rubble of their home. Her home of 50 years; her entire life was in shambles.
This felt like her fault.
A domino effect.
“I need to tell her.” Julieta whispered as she sunk to rest onto a fallen pillar, her hands coming to her knees, fingers gripping the dusty blue fabric anxiously, the settled dust no longer weighing in her lungs but she felt the pressure of guilt press far more heavily, “She needs to know.”
“Mi Amor…” Agustín sat down beside her, an arm enveloping around her that tugged her close.
Julieta shifted against him, her head coming to his shoulder. The soft breeze of the early morning air tickling at her cheeks as her eyes fluttered shut.
“She’ll hate me.” Julieta feared because… how could she not after what she had been through. Sparing her daughter a gift had landed her into a much more complex situation. If Mirabel had been spared a gift naturally, she didn’t see her mother changing because she didn’t even know.
“Mi vida, you know our daughter; she’s a forgiving girl.”
Julieta licked her dry lips, fingers unknotting and knotting into her apron, feeling the weight of the candle’s remains in her pocket still. “I robbed her of a gift, Agustín… how can she forgive me for that?” She whispered “I thought I was sparing her the weight of expectations… now look where that’s gotten us. Homeless. Giftless.”
Neither of them noticed Camilo slinking away with a frown on his face with furiously pink cheeks.
Agustín’s touch rubbed at her arm soothingly, his lips pressing against her forehead. “It…won’t be easy but you know I’ll help you through it. Once it’s out in the open… you don’t have to carry it anymore.”
Julieta inhaled deeply. “I hope so. I have a lot to make up for.”
“Talk to your mother first… if anything that’s a good place to start before we tell Mirabel.”
“Dolores knows.” Julieta reminded, “She…. She heard me that night.” It hadn’t occurred to her until after by Dolores’s expression but the girl had never said anything. Julieta had told herself many times that Dolores understood her reasoning; understood the weight that came with gifts.
“Maybe that’s a good thing.” Agustín mused.
Julieta’s eyes flickered open, peering up at him with a dry look.
“I mean, she can probably… mention it to Pepa and Felix about the concept; might make their responses a bit easier.”
“Hm..” He wasn’t wrong, Julieta realised but Dolores’s filter was always dodgy if dinner had been anything to prove…. But the girl had kept her secret for the last ten years so she wasn’t going to judge too sharply on a slip-up. Maybe it was best to leave Dolores to her side of the family and Julieta could handle hers.
 -
Julieta had been reluctant to stand around so they had begun to look through the rubble of anything of salvage. Abuelo’s portrait had been damaged but Julieta felt relief to see the majority of the damage was to the frame and background canvas; her mother would be pleased.
A small portion of Clothes, food; the kitchen table was as solid as ever. Mirabel’s sewing machine took a beating but it stood on the table with their salvaged belongings.
Slowly, the family began to trickle back to Casita but Julieta’s heart dropped to see each one come back without her daughter.
“She’ll come back.” Felix assured, patting her arm as she led him and Pepa to a small table where someone had dropped off some food. “Your mother’s still out there.”
“Alone?”
“Mama’s not going to wander off too far.” Pepa spoke, picking up a few of the arepas. “Camilo, Antonio. Come get food.” She called out sharply.
The two were standing around; not sure what to so with themselves, well Antonio was while Camilo was looking downright furious, arms folded across his chest and cheeks flushed , kicking one of the pebble. This seemed to make Antonio look more confused at his brother but thankfully both came when called.
Julieta offered them a plate with a smile.
Antonio happily took but Camilo downright snatched with a glare her way.
“Camilo!” Pepa was quick to jump on his attitude with a look of thunder given the lack of her cloud. “You do not snatch!”
Camilo’s eyes lingered in Julieta before his jaw tightened. “Sorry.” His tone seemed to suggest otherwise that seemed…targeted as his gaze lingered onto her.
Julieta frowned, her eyes flickering to Pepa in confusion at his sudden attitude. Pepa set her plate down, Felix following after but both converged onto their son and led him away with hushed voices
“What’s that all about?” Antonio wondered.
Julieta swallowed but frowned as both her sister and Felix looked to her sharply with confused looks. It made her mouth feel dry and her stomach feel queasy; like they knew something but… no Dolores wouldn’t have told them. Camilo wasn’t the one to be trusted to know secrets so Dolores wouldn’t have told him; they hadn’t even asked Dolores yet…
Agustín’s hands pulled her attention away, pushing an arepa into her hands. “You should eat, Corazon.”
Her eyes flickered to the baked good before gingerly taking it, offering her husband a tight smile and took a nervous nibble but it only seemed to dry her mouth out more. Her appetite disappearing quickly with each chew.
“She’s back!”
The calls were distant but Julieta zoned in immediately and abandoned Agustín and the half-eaten arepa. The low haze of anxiety lifting with hope that burst into happiness as she set her gaze onto her daughter’s face.
“Mirabel!” her feet carrying her and before she knew it Mirabel was in her arms; her breathing ticking at her skin, seeping warmth into her shirt and arms locking around her middle;
Mirabel was back.
Safe.
“Ma, I’m fine.”
“I was so worried.” Julieta swallowed, pulling away, her fingers coming to cup her cheeks. “We couldn’t find you.”
Mirabel looked…tried but she was unhurt. Nothing had appeared since and now she was back. But her eyes looked lighter. Julieta’s hand dropped to clutch Mirabel’s hands, scared for a moment that she might disappear
“I’m sorry Mama.” Mirabel replied, squeezing her hand back. “I shouldn’t have run.”
“It’s okay.” She lent forwards, kissing her daughter’s cheeks. “As long as you’re okay, that’s all what matters.”
Mirabel nodded though they were interrupted as a new figure moved into view.
A second relief to see her mother well and looking far happier, despite their circumstances. Their family was almost as whole as it had been. Minus one important figure but she had no time to unpack those thoughts.
“The Guzman’s had dropped us some food while we were searching.” Julieta spoke, “we should eat and… and think of what we should do next.”
There was mutual agreement towards the table but Julieta’s good mood changed as Camilo beelined straight to Abuela as the groups moved; Felix seeing him last second but the world seemed to fade into slow motion as Camilo whispered to Abuela.
Abuela’s face morphed from her calm, relieved demeanour into confusion but that didn’t last long before her face turned stony, expression firming to mask the welt of emotion that shone in her eyes.
“Camilo!” Felix’s voice pulled Camilo away but the damage was done in his echo.
Abuela’s eyes rose and Julieta felt her inside coil as she met her gaze and for a moment, she felt like a little girl again, facing down her mother’s wrath for accidently knocking down her papa’s portrait that almost got torn when she was four. Small and alone. Her blood was the loudest thing in her ears and her breath second as she tried to breathe.
“Is this true?” Abuela didn’t shout, but she may as well have from the lack of emotion in her voice.
Julieta felt the gazes of her family, of Mirabel’s hands in hers, which seemed to ground her back to reality and she blinked, coming back to her body. Her mouth remained dry and her stomach filled with butterflies, she was sure her hands were shaking.
“Go eat food. Now.” Julieta let her go, Agustin stepping in and pulling their confused daughter away but Julieta stayed still not meeting her mother’s eye as Abuela got closer, her breath seething and she could already picture the smoke.
“Is this true?”
“Is what true?” Julieta swallowed. She didn’t know what Camilo did but… she had to make sure they were going to argue about the same thing. Was she stalling? Probably.
“You interfered with Mirabel’s gift ceremony.” This was not spoken hardly, but it was sharp. Leaving no room for loopholes that Julieta could see.
She swallowed thickly, taking a breath that seemed to waver in her inhale, her fingers gripping her apron again. “I… I didn’t want her to be overworked like the rest of us. I… made a decision for her best interest.”
Abuela’s face morphed from neutral to furious in a heartbeat. “Her best interest? Look around, Julieta! Our home is gone!”
“We can rebuild, Mama.” Julieta spoke back, “The Magic shouldn’t have been at the expense of our family. I couldn’t stop the weight on Luisa is Isabela but I thought I could spare Mirabel that weight.” But reality wasn’t kind to allow her that; not with how her mother saw it.
“Ma? What’s going on?” Mirabel’s voice was quiet but now, with no walls it occurred that now their conversations had carried.
“Tia Julieta is the reason you didn’t get your gift, Mirabel!” Camilo called, his face less pink and furious but there was a displeased glint in his eye. “She must have done something to the magic.”
Pepa grabbed Camilo by the ear, hissing angrily at him as she began to pull him away again, this time Pepa didn’t stop a few meters away but onwards through the town.
“Mami?” Mirabel blinked, “What did…what did you do?”
Julieta felt adrift in the haze of silence the ranged, Agustín’s hand coming to Mirabel’s shoulder but his face was lit with caution and concern. It took a moment to find her voice, drifting away from the furious figure of her mother to her youngest.
Mirabel’s face had lost colour, brown eyes wide and glistening but there was a sense of…need.
“I’m… I’m sorry, Mirabel.” Julieta spoke, “All I did was…talk to the candle. I didn’t want you to have the burden that comes with gifts. I didn’t know if it’d work…”
“I… I was supposed to have a gift.” Mirabel realised, eyes widening. “I… I would have gotten a gift that night if—“ She stopped sharply, inhaling deeply.
“Corazon…” Julieta reached forwards but Mirabel stepped back, looking like she had been winded with this information, the movement; the clear rejection piecing into her chest and heart but Julieta ignored that icy feeling “I didn’t do it to hurt you, Mi Vida. Never to hurt you.”
Mirabel’s eyes welled up but shook her head at her, stepping away as she tried again to comfort her baby. “I was supposed to have a gift…” that was what Mirabel was fixated on, but another, pollen covered hand pushed her away.
Isabela’s expression looked shocked but took control in pulling Mirabel away from her and Agustín and began to lead her away and Julieta didn’t have the strength of will to fight her on that.
“What’s going on?” Antonio’s small voice echoed but no one could answer him. Julieta wanted nothing more than the ground to swallow her up as Abuela seemed to straighten up with a new expression.
Disappointment.
Which was worse than anger. Julieta wanted anger because that burned out quickly. Disappointment was long-lasting and Julieta felt sick to her stomach to be at the end of it; to being the cause of it.
She was a terrible mother, wasn’t she?
Okay, so i decided to drabble further back to Pariah’s actions coming to light to the family. Hope you enjoy and I’ll maybe put a masterlist of which order these drabbles are in?

Wanderer AU | Julieta, Pepa & Luisa ( minor  vague tw)
Tumblr media
Both Julieta and Pepa were together when their AU was terminated; Luisa not too far away but all of them watched as their townspeople disintegrated before the land under their feet eroded away before they found themselves aboard a pirate ship in the early 18th century Caribbean; no longer at their Encanto.
Due to the confusion and rather shocking appearance, the two were taken prisoner into the brig of the ship and questioned but they were just as confused as the pirates.
Pepa’s weather cloud though had not gone unnoticed, nor the fact she was also a redhaired; women on board, redheads were often signs of bad luck on pirate ships but also the ‘ominous’ cloud above her head did little comfort to the crew. There was loud contemplation of if they should throw her overboard to spare their ship and their fortune but it was decided to sell the two at the nearest port, 1 days away.
Despite the confusion, Pepa and Julieta tied themselves together using  Pepa’s headband, incase one of them dropped off to sleep and the other was taken; this would wake the other up.
While Pepa wasn’t considered fortunate and often ignored by superstition, Julieta wasn’t which is where the paranoia and need to stay together was enforced after one tried to take Julieta by force but Pepa’s storm cloud zapped him and triggered a hurricane that nearly sunk the ship. The captain was forced to rule that any harm to either one would be their demise and left them two the brig.
At the port, the weather turned naturally bad and worse as Julieta and Pepa were separated. Pepa wasn’t sold and so she was left beaten and left for dead while Julieta was sold to a brothel but that didn’t last as she killed her first client and escaped in his clothes, taking his money and went to find her sister.
Unknown to the two, Luisa had found herself at the port, taking the first day to quickly get a job, disguising herself as a man to do as as men got paid well and with her muscles, and build, it wasn’t hard to do. She took the name Luis and was able to accomplish manual labour fast but she quickly charged hefty for it than seem desperate for cash.
Luisa’s first day would get her a room but on the second, her attention changed when she caught wind of a redhead with a cloud and immediately went to see.
Luisa was horrified to find her Tia so injured, taking her back to her room to heal her but to both of their surprise, Pepa’s injuries were healing far faster than usual. Pepa let her know where Julieta last was so Luisa immediacy left to find her.
For two weeks, Julieta was separated from them before Luisa was able to glimpse her mother almost getting into a bar fight before Luisa was able to step in; her mass and size quickly intimidated the group and Julieta was relieved to see her daughter and sister alive.
With Pepa’s cloud and weather shifts, the group decided to take to a ship to escape the island they were on and to start ‘fresh’ in a different port. Both Julieta and Pepa cut their hair short to match male disguises; Pepa enjoyed teasing Julieta on this look. Pepa hid her red hair under a hat, as again, redheads were still considered bad luck.
They got passage to a sailing port where they found jobs at a tavern, Julieta was the one to take her gender back after a few weeks of growing her hair back out to pose as sister to Pepe, and mother to Luis and to keep a firm hand in listening to gossip of the place they worked at; women were ignored but she, like the other two were quick to learn to draw a blade at a moment’s notice.
For twenty five years, that was their life, Pepe worked as a shop keeper, eventual manager while Luis worked as manual labour and Julieta worked at a tavern. This put money in their pocket and they saved what they could, over time this was a lot.
Things changed as regulars noticed the trio’s lack of aging, which they had noticed but assumed no one else would.
So they moved again, this time purchasing a small merchant ship and head south towards south America and Colombia in short trips, in a faint hope to find Encanto eventually; not knowing it wasn’t there. Settling for a few decades at a time, save money, move on was their eventual routine over the century.

Pariah Julieta: Because you flip your shit about everything.
Hallow Pepa: Well, will you look at this. Here is my shit, and yet it remains unflipped. Just sitting there on the skillet, getting burned on one side. It’s a miracle.

Pariah AU | The Return P2
Tumblr media
The whole family was a buzz of nervous energy as they settled into the dining room, Bruno gone for a vision which seemed prudent in both his and Abuela’s eyes. Mirabel could feel the same nervous flutter in her gut and it was more than just the sight of a new door.
Her mother’s door lit up.
Even if it was somehow connected to the new door, it still lit up.
Julieta’s door had died out a little over two years ago. She died. There was no way that she could still be alive… she wouldn’t have survived 2 years in the forest… certainly not if she had been pregnant. A fact Mirabel knew she hadn’t tried to process. And, even if by some miracle she had survived, the child would barely be over 1. Too young for a door. It didn’t make sense.
Bruno’s vision had been clear enough. Julieta drowned. Luisa found her apron. All the evidence they needed that they had truly lost her.
So what changed?
“Has anything happened in the last few hours or days that you can think of that could have triggered this?” Abuela was asking, “Dolores, a…. pregnancy by any chance?” There was an almost hopeful edge to it.
Dolores shook her head, her hand gripping Marino’s hand tightly. “Nothing. No one in the family is carrying, at least, not at a point where I can pick up a heart-beat.”
“Anyone adopt someone secretly?”
Mirabel knew that was the next possible option; while it wasn’t known if adopted children would get a gift, it was a possibility. A Madrigal was still a Madrigal; it didn’t matter where they originated from first.
“No, I mean, Bruno was thinking about it but he sure as hell wouldn’t have done it without talking to you, Abuela.”
“Bruno wants to adopt?” Abuela looked genuinely, and somewhat pleasantly surprised by the news. “That’s nice.”
“What could have triggered Julieta’s door? We know she’s….gone.” Agustín spoke, voice trending slowly over his wife’s fate but as much as her loss hurt, it was a fact he was living with. He had to use that door every day.
“I wish I knew.” Abuela spoke. “Maybe Bruno will give us more answers; somewhere to look maybe, a person or perhaps a place?”
“Odd place for a new door to form.” Felix remarked, mostly to himself though eyes turned to him regardless before he noticed, “Most cases, it’s either side of the courtyard. The Nursery is vacant now but there’s plenty of space of a door next to that, so why would Casita grow and adapt a door right next to Julieta’s? Abuela’s….Pepa, even Bruno’s door is still on that side of Casita. That’s a lot of doors on one side when there’s still plenty of space along the sides.”
“Perhaps it’s…connected to why Julieta’s door glowed?” Mariano suggested. “Just because we don’t understand now, there had to be a reason. It could take days more to understand it.”
It felt like fate that the attention shifted to see Tio Bruno return; pale faced but with a stack of emerald tablets in his hands though he looked both concerned and confused which did little to settle her anxieties.
“Bruno? Everything okay?”
Bruno nodded, if a little uncertain. “Yeah… just a little out of it.”
“Take a seat.” Abuela instructed softly. He complied and sunk into one of the chairs before he placed the stack down in front but didn’t let go for them to spread and take a look at each one.
“What did you see?”
Bruno’s face remained frowned before he began to look through the tablets before he pushed one to the table centre.
“The door belongs to a girl, just a bit younger than Mirabel.”
On the green tablet, there was the view of a girl from the profile reaching for the door handle. She was fairly short, her curly hair that was pinned back into a low bun but she was wearing tinted glasses so her eyes were obstructed from view. There was distinct…familiarity of her; Abuela didn’t know if it was the hair style but the girl looked creepily like Julieta but the girl looked displeased at the prospect of claiming the door.
“A teenager?” Felix was the first to move, “another Madrigal?”
“Unlikely,” Abuela denied, “We would have noticed if Pepa or Julieta got pregnant…and it’s unlikely there was infidelity given the magic isn’t passed down through in-laws way.” So she did doubt Agustín would cheat on Julieta. “The only explanation is…Bruno? Is there a slim chance you have a child or left someone pregnant?”
Bruno shrunk at the implication and shook his head. “As much as I’d like to say yes to make this make any sense, no.”
Abuela sighed, tiling the tablet; watching the image shift to the girl’s grasp on the handle; the glow that lit across the nob that indicated it was truly hers.
Abuela handed it to her right for Agustín to get a clearer look; see what he thought before Bruno handed her another tablet.
This time, it was of the same girl.
A tent set up in the woods, the girl was in front of a fire but in her hand she had a few blades, a holster of them strapped onto her, and a delicately crafted knife thrown and looked to be mid-way at a makeshift target where other blades were rested, heading towards a bull’s eye. The girl’s arms were exposed; showing she had more muscle than average for a girl her age. IN the background of the girl, aside form the tent and fire was….Mirabel.
Only this Mirabel had much longer hair, her clothes seemed to be different; no sewing or embroidery that Mirabel typically wore. Her hair was pinned back into a bun too, much like how Julieta wore it.
“Do you know her, Mirabel?”
Abuela turned the tablet to her youngest nieta who frowned at the question before she took the vision.
“No…. and I don’t think that’s me.” Mirabel denied.
“Of course it is, she looks like you...” Isabela pointed out over her shoulder.
“I know how it looks but… my hair is too short to be up like that and those clothes… I don’t own anything of that style.” Mirabel deflected. “If it is me, it’s not me of now or any time soon.”
“My visions aren’t always clear on dates.” Bruno pointed out, “There’s a chance this won’t happen for a good few years.”
“Well… I hate to break it to you but this Mirabel…she looks younger than 17 or older, even if it is a few years aged.” Camilo pointed out, but he shifted form, resembling Mirabel but there was a soft subtleties to how he looked as 15 year old Mirabel against the real life 17 year old one next to him. “Things aren’t making sense…but I know how old people are by their appearance. Both of those girls are the same age.”
“That’s…not the only thing that’s not going to make sense.” Bruno piped up and turned the last one to them.
This was of the camp sight but it was all wrecked, Mirabel held a sleek gun in her hands, aimed up to the mass of a large man wielding a similar weapon but from the…mess coming from the back of his head it looked like her aim was true but there was blood on her clothes. But the shadowed figure behind her suggested she was about to be tacked into the river’s edge
The other girl’s blades were also embedded into the back of a skull, another man but much slimmer but he was on top of another girl, bleeding from the head, who Abuela realised was Isabela, his hands around her neck but it was easy to see he’d be dead first. The Isabela’s arms were…covered in come protective armour.
“Dios mios!” Her hand came to her mouth in horror. “We should find them.” She’d keep Mirabel Isabela home… she couldn’t have them getting hurt. The other girl’s identify aside, they had to try right? Even if it didn’t make sense, she couldn’t have Mirabel or Isabela hurt. She already lost Julieta.
---
Rana exhaled deeply as she twirled the blade along her fingers, flexing her fingers on the handle before a quick flick and a…
Thump
And the spear-head of the blade buried into the soft trunk of the tree; the bullseye of the makeshift target she had drawn. Of all her weapons, throwing knives were her favourite. Not good for just throwing thrills but it allowed for a ranged weapon or a melee weapon in the event it was necessary.
Day one here was so boring, so she had to find her entertainment elsewhere beyond sparing with Wanderer and taking a swim in the river. Their end-point out hadn’t been to where they had found her mother all that time ago and Rana wasn’t sure if that was for better or worse but apparently they were just a little out of Encanto’s range to not be picked up by Dolores’s hearing—thank god—before they set down their tent for the next foreseeable future.
A part of her itched to throw her blade at an animal but they didn’t need to hunt for food yet…a dead animal would also attract predators which was another reason why she knew hunting animals for simply sport was unwise. So mutilating trees at variable degrees was her only form of entertainment until she got board of that and resorted to….reading and drawing.
“How long are you gonna do that?” Wanderer asked, prodding their fire with a stick, happily roasting a marshmallow on a stick in the other hand as their dinner heated up in a pan above.
Rana rolled her eyes, heading to the tree and began to collect them up again, slipping them back into her holsters but left one to twiddle between her fingers. “This world is boring. What do people do here?”
“Have lives.”
“Sounds awful.”
Wanderer smiled softly. “You’re far too used to technology and a systematic life of predictable expectation.”
“Civilian life lacks purpose.”
“Your mother spent 45 years as a working civilian.”
“Look where that got her now.” Rana bit back grumpily, earning herself a look of displeasure from the elder-teen. “I like purpose.”
Wanderer shook her head. “You’re gonna suffer from the biggest culture shock, I bet.” Her tone was dry before she pouted as the marshmallow caught fire.
Rana shook her head. “I was raised in a military like environment, trained very young to fight. My gift is designed to help in defence and offence…. I am a fighter and Mami said I popped out that jar wiggling like my little life depended in it! I need something more than to get soft in a world that doesn’t prioritise the risks or have fundamental lessons of how to defend themselves with or without gifts.”
Wanderer dropped her ruined marshmallow into the fire and said nothing which was unusual but Rana shook her head than focus onto that right now.
They has far too much time now. A topic for later.

Agustín new something was off in the moment he stepped into Casita, his arms ached as he carried the basket of wood with him, shadowed closely by Felix with his own basket but the quietness of the space reached him long before he entered the kitchen.
He had expected to see his wife in front of the oven, kneading her frustrations of the day into dough, expected to hear and smell the food cooking on heat. An unbreakable habit of the last few weeks, once he had coaxed her out of her room after the first few days.
Instead, he was met with a Julieta-less kitchen and no sign of meal preparations or warming oven. Julieta hadn’t been here for a while, it seemed.
“Julieta?” Agustín frowned lightly, placing the basket down onto the side. Casita began to wiggle it down the surface.
“Maybe she has a nap?” Felix suggested, “I’ll get dinner started.”
Agustín nodded, sounded good. Maybe Julieta needed time for herself, a well-earned break. He could always leave her a plate if she was conked out. Agustín’s knuckles echoed across his wife’s door.
“Juli? You asleep?” He carefully opened the door, poking his head around first and expected to see Julieta’s sleeping body on the bed. But the bed was empty, the sheets made and untouched. It looked…like she hadn’t been here for a while either.
“Julieta?” He moved inwards, poking his head into the closet, then around but it wasn’t overly big that he expected her to be hiding; a part of him thought that maybe she had fallen asleep in a curled up position. Wasn’t the first time and he defiantly didn’t want her back to hate her later on.
The room was empty.
He left the room, though he let himself head towards Mirabel’s room, knocking lightly.
“Mira?”
After a moment the door opened to Mirabel sitting on the floor, a mess of fabric and thread around her, her sewing machine in pieces and she looked a little flustered.
“You…have a disagreement with your sewing machine?”
“It’s the old one. I thought it’d work well despite having a building dropped on it.” Mirabel answered. At the side of Mirabel’s new room, was a collection of embroidery tools, including a new machine, so it wasn’t like she couldn’t do anything. “I liked this one.”
Agustín nodded with a soft smile. “I remember your mother choosing it.” He smiled, “I wanted to get you a purple one…she wore me down with the black one since they didn’t have a blue one that you likes. She let Isabela hand-paint it though.”
Mirabel’s 7th birthday. It took a lot to convince Julieta that Mirabel would be safe with a machine with supervision. The girl took to it faster than she had with manual learning. One of the last few times Isabela really put effort into presents.
Mirabel snorted, her finger trailing over the worn, damaged paint of golden vines and leaves. “Still, I love it. I don’t want to get rid of it.”
“Don’t. Why don’t you put it back into one piece and have it as décor or a trophy of it’s 8 years of service before its demise.”
He could see a good few spaces that it could work. It didn’t have to work but he hoped she’d like the suggestion.
“I’ll see.” She set down the wheel in her hands, pushing her glasses up her nose, “did you want something, pa?”
“Oh, Right.” His reason of being resurfaced quickly. “Have you seen your mother?”
Mirabel blinked in surprise, “No… not since breakfast. I left earlier to hang out with the town kids but came back to sort out Luisa’s new skirt. She wants donkeys put on along with the dumbbells.”
Agustín’s shoulders deflated but nodded with a false smile. “Well, I’ll leave you to it.” He departed quickly without another word and a confused look.
 -
Pepa didn’t know where Julieta went.
Luisa didn’t know where Julieta went.
Bruno didn’t know where she went.
Abuela also didn’t know where her daughter went.
Agustín was feeling the anxiety now knowing that almost everyone didn’t know where his wife was and no one seemed worried about it even as dinner was set Agustín waited for Dolores and Isabela to arrive.
Only… Isabela seemed to sit down at the table.
“No Dolores?”
“She’s eating with Mariano and his mother tonight.” Isabela shrugged, “It’s much quieter there.”
Despite the fact it was a valid point, it frustrated Agustín and though Abuela mentioned briefly on Julieta’s absence, Agustín found no appetite as the others dug into their food. His eyes lingering on the darkening sky.
Something was wrong.
“isa, when was the last time you saw your mother?” Agustín asked, interrupting her conversation with Pepa who clouded over a little.
Isabela’s face pulled in but he gave her a hard stare to answer.
“She left to do some shopping just after lunch.”
“Alone?”
Isabela nodded but that was enough; something had happened when she had gone shopping. Why she hadn't left it to him, he didn’t know but she certainly would have been back by now if it was just that.
“Agustín?!” Abuela called as he jumped onto his feet and stormed from the table. His feet faster than his mind but he knew only one person now who could actually be useful. He should have just gone straight to Dolores. Not wait and wonder and hope for the best.
“Dolores!” He knocked on the Guzman’s door, his weight shifting from one leg to another impatiently in the following seconds before Mariano’s head appeared as the door swung open.
“Tio?” Dolores looked a little startled as he stepped around him; he had clearly interrupted but Agustín didn’t care.
“Your Tia. Can you locate her?”
“Agustín, can this wait?” Senora Guzman asked in mild frustration, setting down her cutlery.
“No.”
Dolores’s head tilted but after a moment her eyes widened before she rose to her feet, doing what he asked at the very least.
“I can’t hear her.” Her hands rose to her mouth. “I can’t hear her.”
Agustín felt his stomach drop and the ice form in his veins. In Encanto, there wasn’t anything she couldn’t hear.
“She’s not in Encanto.” Agustín realised out loud, feeling horrified at the idea. “That’s the only reason why you wouldn’t be able to hear her.”
Dolores did have a range and that covered at least a mile in all directions from Encanto from her current position. What worried him mostly was that… she had very little in the way of ability to leave and he knew she certainly didn’t pack anything. Not even a knife.
A woman, alone in the woods with no supplies…or water.
Dolores gasped sharply, “Excuse me,” She grabbed Agustín’s arm and tugged, leaving the Guzman’s staring after them as they ran back to Casita.
“Julieta’s missing!” Dolores called first, stopping all conversation at the table, “She’s not in Encanto and I can’t hear her!”
“Missing?” Abuela echoed first, standing up sharply “What? When?”
“Well, shopping and not coming back fills that criteria.” Agustín remarked back. “We need to find her now. If she’s been gone for the last 7 hours, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover”
Luisa stood up, wiping her hands down. “I’ll help.” Her face serious. “It’ll be complete darkness soon…I don’t want her to be out there alone.”
“Antonio, can you get your friends to help us?” Mirabel asked, her face pale and strong but he could see the silent terror in her eyes.
Antonio’s eyes flickered to his jaguar and nodded. “Parce has a good nose. He can follow her scent.”
“Good. We’ll need it, especially in the dark”

Pariah AU | Birthday grief
Tumblr media
“Happy Birthday, hermana.” Pepa whispered as she and Bruno sat in his room, a photo of their eldest lost third between them. The aching loss never feeling more real than now in the privacy of his walls from the family. Not that the rain didn’t give her tells away at the moment she had disappeared off with her sibling and no doubt everyone else knew as well but the fact they were humoured was enough to keep the charade going; that this was now what they had to do.
Pepa didn’t care and Bruno was doing a good job at keeping the photo and candle dry with an umbrella settled above it.
Loss like this, the pain made the celebration of their day feel hollow. She had grown accustomed to absence, like Bruno has in the last decade but it had never been this ache. They had never had a birthday together since their 40th. When Bruno had come back, Pepa had felt relief that they’d once be a proper triplet birthday.
Then Julieta had vanished… and died.
The real realisation was swift to follow was now that they’d never have a triplet birthday again with one missing…or dead. The inability to bury her didn’t help with closure. Mama hadn’t come out of her room and Pepa didn’t even try because there was no denying the grief this day meant for their mother; a reminder of their Papa’s loss and the loss of her home but now.. now it was the loss of Julieta was now a part of her grief…
“Think she’d watching down at us?” Bruno asked quietly, thumbing over his rosary beads slowly.
“No.” Pepa answered, not looking up as she felt his look. “Why’d she come down to see us grieve when she’s with Papi celebrating what she never could with him up there?” At least with him, she didn’t have to think about them; what she had left behind.
Pepa hated that. Hated that Julieta had died and left them alone. Left them a duo. Left them in a horrifying way. Left her husband and her daughters… left their mother. She hated that she hated that. Julieta’s death hadn’t been purposeful… the desperation for water
Pepa felt Bruno prod at her before she waved the snow away.
“Why did she have to die on us?”
-
Pariah Julieta say quietly against the pillar to their private room, most people now had taken up bean bags and passed out like Stray or in Decay’s case, found a lover for the night in her drinking and disappeared off.
Distort had also passed out drunk, which was odd to see given he was still physically aged 15, even by now he was twenty-two. Much like Wanderer in appearance in comparison to her real age. She too had also disappeared off but Pariah didn’t let herself over think if she had disappeared off with a guy or just got bored.
It was an odd day but Pariah was…one of the few that kept track of her birthday in her native world. Sure, she already celebrated her own birthday here already but this day, it was also October 17th in her native world. Two years had passed and by all accounts, she was now physically 52 years old, even though she was about 65 years old.
She had wanted to celebrate it and Hallow had worked wonders for a last-minute party. Hallow herself had long since dropped birthdays for herself; she didn’t care for them as much anymore.
The high of the party had worn off and Pariah was tucked in between Dweller and Hallow with the familiar buzzing and dryness in her mouth. Dweller was quiet though, his fingers tracing the metallic shell of her prothetic with curiosity.
Hallow was… mellow. Which was off for an emotionless woman but Pariah didn’t ponder on that too much as they all sat quietly.
“You okay?” Dweller asked after a moment. “You’ve gone all sad.”
Pariah offered him a soft look as he looked at her with those glowing eyes, a face so young but only a few years younger than herself.
“I keep thinking of my family…my Pepa and Bruno.” Pariah admitted, “their…second birthday without me.”
Dweller’s eyes turned down in understanding. “I’m sorry.”
“After…my Bruno went into the walls… the birthdays after that, we still celebrated with the family. Me and Pepa would sneak to his door and leave a cake… or a little present.” Her lips curled sadly, “But…. We hoped he was alive. They were always gone by morning.”
Dweller sighed out softly. “You still kept him in your life…even if you didn’t know how close he always was.”
“This day… this will be the hardest for them. Not as bad as…last year but again…” She knew how hard it was but… they had probably long thought she was dead. At least with Bruno they had hope. Not her. No, she was literally dead to the family at this point and… that was a new pain.
A part of her longed for her native siblings.
Dweller’s hand moved from tracing to grasping her metal hand softly. “Their grief in your absence is just a sign that they still love you.”
Pariah closed her eyes as she rested her head onto his shoulder. “I know. I…I do miss them…but I don’t think I’ll ever find the strength to face them.” Not with what had happened to her. She…was too different now. Less…human. How could she look them in the eye and all they’d see of what she’d become.
Agustín may not even want her; she could kill him with a touch…or worse accidently break him with her arm or leg. He was so delicate now; a loving, warm father that had done so much more in the last two years while she had become a soldier…a fighter and she was a hardened soul. She wasn’t what they needed anymore. She had ruined her family long before she had left, inflicted by her choices and they hated her for it.
