Babamın cenazesini Antalya’dan geçtiğimiz Kasım ayında, kardeşimle kaldırırken, cami avlusu çok kalabalıktı. ‘Çok cenaze var’ diye düşünüp, kardeşimle, ölüm belgesi vb işlemleri hallederken, 70-80 yaşlarında çok yakışıklı, çok şık kahverengi takım elbisesi, gömleğinin beyazlığının parlaklığında gür beyaz saçları olan, uzun boylu bir beyefendiyle tanışmıştım avluda. Neden beklediğimi vs sorup konuşurken, Diyarbakırlı olduğunu, bir gün eğer gelirsem Diyarbakır’a kendisini bulmamı söyleyip, ismini vermişti. Herkes tanır beni deyip, bir yandan da yanına gidip gelen, eğilip kulağına bir şeyler söyleyen gençten insanlara cevap veriyordu. Sonrasında bir anda babamın cenazesi o camideki kalabalığın omuzlarındaydı. Meğer tüm o yüzlerce insan, o beyefendinin yakınlarıymış. Kendi cenazelerinden önce elbirliğiyle bizimkini, mezarın kazılmasından ölçülerine kadar, ayakları elleri, üstleri çamur balçık içinde, mezarlık görevlilerini en ince ayrıntısına kadar yönlendirerek, düzelttiler, hoca getirttiler, defnettiler babamı. Diyarbakır’ı görmeyi zaten çok istiyordum, o güzel insanların yüzü suyu hürmetine bir an önce geleyim istedim. Tanıştığım beyefendinin, diğer insanların isimleri, yüzleri o durumda aklımda kalmadı malesef. Onlar kadar iyi birçok insanla burada tanışmış oldum. Mutlaka onlara da denk gelmişimdir, yanlarından geçmişimdir... Dört ayaklı minare, 4 İslam mezhebini temsil ediyor. Anadolu’nun tek örneği ve 1500 yılında yaptırılmış. Buranın altından yedi kez geçince dileklerinin kabul olacağına inanan insanlar vardı ben gittiğimde. Tahir Elçi’nin katledildiği yeri içim titreyerek, her kesimden insanı bu camii gibi birarada, ayakta tutan Diyarbakır’ın tarihine, insanına da saygım sevgim artarak gezmeye devam ediyorum.
