all in due time ✨ honestly the big anniversary art did burn me out a little on drawing Swap MH stuff for a while, but I am just the type to switch between projects from time to time and can't endlessly work on one thing.

with any luck the time not spent drawing Swap MH at the moment means I'll find the energy to start on my comic scripts sooner rather than later, because I really really wanna get to those :'D

Yeah, no dice. :/ I’m reaching a point where I may have to do a temp comic after all, just until we know Sparks is okay. In general, the status of IF right now is... Parts 48, 49 - Done Part 50 - 95% done (pending last minute bugtests and polishes) Part 51 - Done Part 52 - Maps completed, still pending some overworld assets and maybe cutscene slides True Lab - Maps completed, overworld amalgam sprites about 75% done, possible cutscene slides need doing And scripting, missing bgm, etc needs to be done.

What is Chara like?

Wow this ask is so old, sorry for the looooong delay but I'm here to answer your question.

Okay so Chara is relatively simple here. Chara swaps with Rooney (The Ruins Dummy) in this universe.

Okay so Chara was an average kid with a grudge against humans who lived on the surface and was completely unaware of the war between humans and monsters, and before thwy could piece together what was going on, their time on the surface was cut short... the soldier who accidentally killed Chara was struck with a boat load of Guilt and Agony and decided the least they can do is bury the body inside Mt. Ebott. Since then they roam as a ghost child who wanders the caves of Mt. Ebott BEFORE the Monsters were sealed Underground.

So Chara was a ghost for hundreds of years and was there to see the underground be built over time. Present day however, Chara """Haunts""" The Ruins... but not really.

The monsters can actually see and talk to Chara but they're just a human ghost, so Chara can't pick up anything. Chara was pretty lonely since it's hard to make friends when you're the only """Human""" in the underground, until one day...

One day Asgore (Who swaps with Napstablook) decided to take his son Asriel (Who swaps with Mad Dummy) to the ruins with him to see all the pretty flowers that grew in the Ruins, but Asriel noticed Chara's ghost was following them and Asriel decided to make some small talk with the ghost and after several weeks of convincing Asgore to let him go back to the Ruins, Chara and Asriel became best friends, practically siblings.

They would talk for hours about how weird humans and monsters were and about dorky things. Eventually Toriel and Asgore adopted them into the family despite Chara wanting to stay in the Ruins. So Toriel (Who swaps with Mettaton) decided that since that since Chara is a ghost that can't touch anything, Tori decided to make Chara a doll that looks just like them to possess. Of course the doll isn't the easiest thing to control but it was Chara's new body and they LOVED IT.

However after the unfortunate and heated argument with Asgore and Toriel, Toriel abandoned the Dreemurr family to become a superstar in Hotland, leaving Asgore with a bad case of depression and Asriel with huge anger issues and feeling like everyone will abandoned him. He goes to the Ruins more often to get support from Chara, where they always tell Asriel to "Stay Determined" and that everything will work out in the end.

Chara's personality is very similar to Classic Chara but except they are alot happier with how they are now and wouldn't want to completely murder every human on the surface. They are a happy ghost Chara who loves their family and monster kind. They'd rather be referred to as a monster and not a human however. They can't do much on their own in terms of attacks but they know about the humany related stuff like LV, HP, ATK, DEF, EXP, etc.

The area of Corona Mountain in Mario Sunshine is only a very small, isolated area of the mountain. The setting of Undertoad is much deeper underground.

oh definitely! the next one I work on will be RG 01 and 02's son, but Glitter will be part 3 after him :>

I don't wanna spoil too much, but I'll share some basics and things that probably won't fit in her reference:

she's the oldest of my 12 fankids and the only one who was born before the barrier broke, though she was the ghost monster equivalent of a toddler at that point.

Mettaton doesn't strike me as the natural parent type like Toriel, but he saw a lot of past self in Glitter when she traveled to the surface a few years late, so they're a found family of sorts :'>

she basically looks like Mettaton's mini-me, as she has a robot body which Alphys agreed to build in exchange for Mettaton babysitting her twins while she worked on it. (the twins have a bond with Mettaton thanks to this, and Glitter is very thankful to Alphys)

she has a big following on Undernet and is popular with both monster and human kids, but Mettaton is pretty careful to manage how much public spotlight she gets until she's old enough to set her own boundaries.

as Frisk considers Mettaton an uncle, Glitter is a cousin to them and the main three kids, though they don't see her too regularly.
