Something more casual (and masculine) with very minimal makeup

During the several episodes of smog and dangerous air quality due to forest fires around the whole of Québec, my allergies to smoke/pollution caused my eyes to swell and crust, so I couldn't wear eye makeup and contacts for a while. My health was also bad, and I didn't dress up much during that time. However, on that rainy day, the air quality and my health were both "decent", so I helped my sister on her quest to find glasses that fit her face (we succeeded).

Last of the art I drew for the “put the turtles in your outfits” thing that’s been going around. They’re both in outfit combos that I regularly wear around the house, so I guess they’re about to hang out for the day.

I say this about every pair up we’ve seen on the show: I really like their dynamic, haha. Especially on Snow Day. The synergy of their ride-or-die energy that whole episode was chefkiss.

yeah ofc! i got my suit at moores which i thiiink is canadian so sorry abt that if ur not. but my friend (also trans guy) got his blazer at the thrift store & just bought dress pants elsewhere. my button downs r both from uniqlo (they have good small sizes which is rly helpful for me) but tbh decent button downs aren’t that hard to find (try old navy, h&m, etc). ok wait back to the suit -> i did get a 2pc set (suit jacket + pants) but ngl its also not super difficult to match dress pants (again, old navy has some p decent ones) to a suit. hardest thing to find was def the suit jacket so imo ur best bet is to find any local men’s clothing store n try to find the smallest blazer they have or even look in the boys section tbh. as for the tie i just googled “tie” & found some store at the mall to go to (but first check ur male relatives’ closets tbh. if my dad had a rly nice one i wouldn’t have bought one)

Uniqlo baker pants are actually elite

- MASSIVE front pockets!!! + slightly bigger than average back pockets

- aesthetically nice wide leg cut — fashionable but formal enough for workwear

- high waist

- comfy

- 100% cotton, on the lightweight side

- they don’t have black but the navy is honestly really close to black (I didn’t realise it was meant to be navy til I rechecked the online listing)

Okay I'm never buying from Uniqlo again. Last winter I bought a black turtleneck from the store because I'd gotten a yellow one from there a year before which is still good quality and cute af, but after two (2) washes a hole appeared on the sleeve. I thought, okay, fine, I can deal with it. Faith not lost in the company, I recently bought some basic boxy button down shirts to wear to work and after one (1) wash they have discolourations on the fabric. I read the label and apparently discolouration is common and you have to actually hand wash it seperately because it loses colour when rubbed against other fabrics which is so dumb?? A fast fashion company can't even make a linen shirt last more than one wash?? The cherry on the cake is now my original yellow turtleneck has a hole on the left shoulder. Can't wear this shit. Such a waste of money.

#Uniqlo isn't cheap either #i have a pair of pants that i got there about 4 years ago and the leg hem has frayed #i roll them up and still wear them but jesus #if the price is marked how they are on Uniqlo I'd expect the clothes to be more durable

i have so much… stuff that i dont need but am loathe to part with (even though someone else would probably get more use out of them). part of the issue, im realizing, is that so many of my memories are “locked in” with these things and releasing them would essentially mean consigning that memory to be forgotten. they arent particularly valuable memories so its not even sentimental value, just that without a tangible physical reminder i will lose that flash of being 12 and walking home, and with my terrible biological memory i dont have a lot of those. but this is possibly one of the most inefficient ways to store them. but i dont have the energy to re-encode them as journal entries or something so… back they go into the basement storage

#the other half of the issue is post-middle school despite most of my stuff being relatively cheap #they tend to last forever… #I have a gap sweater that’s been going strong since 10th grade -_- #two $60 jeans from Uniqlo which were the only pants I wore fall-winter-spring for about four years that have finally given up the ghost #and my laptop? a decade and counting babyyyy #another third of my memories are just locked up with my sketchbooks lol which is a way better preservation format #I’m not really sure why or how my shit lasts this long bc/ I don’t take particular care & my friends report a much lower lifespan #it’s fast fashion to you it lasts 5 years for me etc. and I wear the same things on rotation like a depression capsule wardrobe so… #bytebun rambles

The fabric is very thin, and allows for a lot of movement!

Back when I lived in the tropics, I actually wore this as part of my everyday wear!

Nowadays, I live in the subtropical region so the weather is colder. Hence, I only get to wear these pants indoors. Still a part of my staple wear during the summer though!
