So what are your thoughts on the second AK x R6 Collab? Do you look forward to it?

Personally, I'm a little sad my boys Wamai, Jager, Glaz, etc didn't make the cut, nor any of the Nighthaven crew like Osa and Kali. This makes sense (HG's approach is basically isekaing the Rainbow crew into Arknights and passing them off as funny aliens in a world of animal people rather than using any Rainbow Six storylines, which is probably for the better), I'm just a little sad that among the new batch the only character I actually play often enough to call a main is Fuze.

That being said, I'm looking forward to it. Originium Dust was one of my favorite AK events, and I really liked how HG translated the R6 characters into its tower defense gameplay, they showed some real creativity along with a weirdly specific understanding of Siege memes (such as the Rainbow ops calling Tachanka, Lord Tachanka, which is not something that's canon to R6S that's an in-joke the players have because Tachanka is a terribly weak but beloved and fun character).

What makes me confident they'll bring that same creativity to translating their FPS gameplay into Arknights is that they made Doc an Instructor Guard. Like, holy shit, it takes a great understanding of Siege to see a medic character whose special skill is that he heals people and then NOT make him a Medic in AK.

Do you know why Doc's an Instructor Guard despite being a medic? Because when you actually see a Doc in a match of R6 Siege, they don't sit behind their allies pumping them with heals every time they take damage. You only have limited healing darts, and you can heal people at full HP to overheal. No. When you're fighting a Doc, you see him grab a partner (usually Rook), jamming them full of heals while their health is full to overdose on their HP, then healing HIMSELF to overdose his HP, and then both of them run out of cover guns blazing to kill as many Attackers as they can before they are blown to hell.

HG understands that well enough that instead of making him a medic, they make him the Guard class that sits behind another unit, buffing them but also meant to do DPS. That's fantastic, I am completely sure someone at HG remains a dedicated Siege player to this day.

Plus, I do love that the Free units on both R6S events are notoriously terrible but fan-favorite characters. Before his rework in R6S, Tachanka sucked ass, and after his rework he still wasn't picked competitively all that much, but he HAD to be the star of the event because he's Lord Tachanka with an LMG that rips through everything and is incredibly satisfying to use. In the same vein, Fuze is infamous for LOSING more games for his team than winning, since his gadgets are bouncing cluster bombs that often kill his teammates, the hostage they're rescuing, or even himself sometimes while completely missing actual enemies. You pick this guy and it's halfway to a loss already, so you're either a god on Fuze, a madman, maybe both, and that's absolutely why he's the next free unit. Now all of AK can get to experience griefing themselves with Fuze RNG. Fuck yeah.

Ultra rich coming from me, my blog being mostly KAMcore (although in my defense I'd say I use Tumblr mostly for memes, shitposting, hardcore venting and moid hating instead of serious activism, which I prefer to practice irl), but I think some of you who call yourselves radical feminists are more driven by men hating than the wish to liberate women.

Is this the point I say hating men is bad and counterproductive for the movement? Absolutely not, perfect valid feelings I seriously share 100% The problem is when you throw other women under the bus because of that.

Not to be an "oh the poor OSA women Uwu" defender, but some of you are absolutely deranged on hetero partnered women's posts/blogs lol. Like going full apeshit on anon calling them traitors, dick lovers and worse things I won't mention because I don't like speaking porn brainrot.

Other thing that irks me is the "hope you marry and he cheats on you/beats you, etc :)" messages. Look, as a woman who practices separatism to the extent she can and will be dead before touching a moid, I've also felt frustrated with women here who post about the moid crime/abuse/cheating stats but partner with them anyways because tbh, for me it would be mental dissonance, but the thing is I don't want those women proving me right. I'd be glad if they truly found a decent man who would treat them right and would be ready to unlearn male socialization, something I believe statistically possible, but so weird I personally think it's not worth it. Waiting that harm and even death comes to them to prove your views are right is disgusting behaviour, sometimes amplified and encouraged by internet anonymity and echo chambers.

God knows how many times I've posted I don't understand being aware of the dangers of being with a man and still dating/marrying them, but at the end of they day I want to work towards the liberation of all women, the ones I hate, the ones I think are making bad decisions, the ones working against us... While Blazkowicz was by no means a linguistics expert, he was familiar with what some foreign languages looked like from his time in the OSA. Mainly from the Nazis' invasion of various countries around the world. But whatever the language was in the journal someone had left for him? Completely and utterly foreign to him. Hell, he brought it to Set and even he couldn't make heads or tails of what was written, let alone what the language even was.

Still, even if nobody on the sub could really make sense of what was written in the damn thing, he figured it might be best to hang on to it. Just in case.

The fact that I don't recognize or care about any male celebs makes me so unfathomably based.

I literally never bother to learn the names of male actors or singers. I wouldn't be able to even if I tried.

I have a rough time following osa women on here because their incessant thirsting over bland boring average commonplace male celebrities is so bizarre. Like I get that it's basically a meme on here but like. how do you care that much about a man who you've never even met? Am I missing something here?

It is genuinely amazing how you girlies manage to memorize the names of all these male actors that look exactly the same. PIPOL QUE TRATA TEMAS PROFUNDOS

Son un poco más de las 7 a.m. y nos encontramos en el punto de venta de Kupa, una marca de diseño que busca cambiar el mundo un color a la vez. 

Afuera, en el costado oriental de la carrera séptima, se arremolinan  los asistentes de la charla sobre Depth, el tema escogido a nivel global para CreativeMornings, que está a punto de dar la periodista económica María Camila Gonzáles.  

Ella aparece con un morral al hombro y su pelo crespo que, parece, protege las miles de ideas que lleva en su cabeza. Antes de que el equipo audiovisual de Osa Imagen la ocupe, aprovechó para charlar un poco con ella.

“ ¿Qué significa para ti lo profundo?”, le disparo a quemarropa la pregunta después del saludo. 

“Uish que pregunta tan profunda”, responde y sonríe. “Para mí tiene que ver con conexiones y relaciones”, concluye.

Maria Camila, una fan a morir de la pasta, no puede vivir sin el arte y el estímulo visual del mundo que la rodea, por eso busca diferentes maneras para conectarse con ideas, personas  y objetos.

Sobre libros me cuenta que ahora está leyendo Economía en Colores, una obra que explica, de manera sencilla,  por qué es importante la economía.

Una novela que la marcó en su juventud fue 1984, de George Orwell, porque amplió su perspectiva de cómo funciona el mundo, al tiempo que le dio un acercamiento político de la realidad.

Tomar café acompañada de un libro le parece un plan perfecto, y un lugar que le encanta es Nueva York porque pasó mucho tiempo de su infancia en esa ciudad.

Luego de que le ponen el micrófono Maria Camila pasa al frente para iniciar su charla.

Cuenta  que  Economiaparalapipol tuvo su origen en un tweet,  cuando estaba cubriendo la reforma tributaria del estallido social del 2019.  En ese entonces notó que había una desconexión entre lo que la gente pedía y lo que el gobierno y los medios comunicaban.

Entonces trinó: “¿Quién se apunta  a buscar una forma de explicar y desmentir tanta cadena falsa en redes?”

Varias personas respondieron a su llamado, así que abrió un grupo de WhatsApp con el nombre “Economía para la gente”, y una de las integrantes fue la que propuso el actual: Economíaparalapipol.

Ella y su equipo de trabajo se han dado cuenta de que la imagen si importa y por eso su feed  de Instagram cuenta con colores brillantes y llamativos, que ayudan a resaltar el lenguaje sencillo con el que traducen todos los tecnicismos económicos de la prensa tradicional.

Algo que deja claro es que tanto ella, como Valerie Cifuentes y Angélica Benavides, sus compañeras de proyecto, antes que nada son periodistas,  y que los temas que tratan los han aprendido como ciudadanas.

Uno de los objetivos de Economiaparalapipol es buscar cómo romper barreras tensas mediante el humor; Por eso hacen uso de memes o secciones como “Lo chimbita y lo paila”.

También están incursionando en el mundo del video con “Ideas para la inclusión”, un podcast en el que bajo la misma línea de lenguaje sencillo que utilizan en redes, explican de qué manera se puede derrotar la desigualdad. 

Su proyecto ya está inscrito como empresa, y su trabajo les ha permitido convertirse en traductoras de distintas entidades financieras, que las buscan para que expliquen sus proyectos de forma sencilla.

“Es raro, ni nosotras sabemos bien que somos”, cuenta  María Camila sobre su modelo de negocio. Por ahora lo define como un híbrido entre medio de comunicación y plataforma de educación y pedagogía.

Sin embargo, las marcas identifican Economiaparalapipol como un espacio de asesoría de comunicaciones. “A las entidades se les olvidó la importancia de hablarle sencillo a sus audiencias”, dice.

“El secreto de nuestro proyecto es responder a preguntas que está haciendo la gente y que no tienen cobertura en medios de comunicación”.

Para finalizar la charla, una de las preguntas que le hacen es sobre consejos para afrontar económicamente el año que viene.  Nos  da tres: 

Olvidarse de los gastos. 

Es mejor tener a metros los créditos.

Si piensan utilizar la tarjeta de crédito, lo mejor es pagar siempre a una cuota.

“2023 es un año para estar tranquilos y no gastar tanto”, concluye.
