For doctor mesquite, I'd really like them to do something with scent based pokemon, something like a spritzee or what would be really good, a stunky, I feel like theres people with a bias against that, I also imagine theyd get along beautifully with green oak just hating the professor or even with red helping train his mewtwo into a therapy pokemon. Scrappy Doo deserved better. He is my favorite character and people dont like him cause they dislike kids that arent perfect and quiet

now that i’m actually watching some of the old series with scrappy in them, i have to admit i do like scrappy a fair bit. i didn’t before because of the 2002 movie, but he was intentionally written in that movie to be a villain in hopes of ruining his character.

I'm lesbian and I really wish there was lesbian rep without creepy age diff or cheating or somebody dying or one of them being evil or mindcontrolled, also I want lesbians not intended for Male consumption,like they're pretty with acrylic nails and obviously no lesbians were consulted but instead it was made for the biggest audience as which is not lesbians but in fact straight dudes

god i totally feel you on that one, you dont have to worry id never go for either of those tropes. i do have femme characters but theres a HUGE difference between femme lesbians and “hetero-coded” lesbians that were made by and for straight men. good thing im not a straight man :fist:

Can you tell us your thoughts on the ever elusive mage class, and any speculations you have on it since canon lore on the class is basically nonexistent?

i dont consider Mages the black box many people do--they’re just the Active ‘Know’ class, paired with Seers. Sollux and Meulin’s short stints coupled with our knowledge of the classpect system in general make it relatively easy to deduce what that entails imo.I’ve done writing on every Class, which you can find here:

Well, most pokémon have had at least one poem written about them at some point, but as far as I know there aren’t any pokémon who have an especially strong association with poetry. Butterfly, bird, and flower pokémon are fairly common motifs in poetry, though. Adrian Moore’s popularity in poetry circles has also led to typhlosions being at least tangentially associated.

@irlgoldenboy i thought about that but she's pretty solidly light. not only does she talk about "being" light, but she's pretty heavily autonomy (or lack thereof), perfectionism, all knowing, etc themed, and those are all light things.

If boromir had lived he would have moved into the shire and lived there change my mind

God fuck I’m so sorry for this real ass reply I will give this truly blessed message but this topic has been bLEEDING out of my heart If!!! Boromir had lived he’d have spent years struggling under the mantel of Lord Steward that, whilst he absolutely can do and WOULD be good at, would make him miserable. 

He would force himself passed every single wearying task and guide Aragorn gently through the knotted thicket that is the various relationships and sensitivities of all the individual lords of Gondor, he’d do that for his father and for his city because this was what he was born into, the trust his people placed in him, and he loves Minas Tirith so dearly! 

And whilst all his friends and family about him get married and start families and manage to heal and enjoy this new peace of theirs, Boromir is just stuck, feeling like a relic, frustrated with himself that he somehow can’t be happy and okay with them, internally crushed by the idea that he was happier in war than he can ever be in peace. That with the passing of battle he’s been made obsolete. 

Of COURSE this isn’t true, he’s just depressed and traumatised and the last thing he needs is more responsibility, to be forced into a position he feels no joy in, that puts him under a great deal of stress, to be separated from Theodred and the relationship that has been their solid foundation for a decade and a half, at a loss now that the essential home that they made of their war tents and meetings has been torn asunder by Theodred’s kingship or his death-

All compounded by the fact that!! Boromir forgot how to be genuine and needy around his family decades ago. They ALL fell into unhealthy relationships with each other, it wasn’t just Faramir and Denethor who were on the rocks. So he’s miserable! Lost! Confused! Isolated! And lonely!!!

And it definitely is Pippin and Merry, the outsiders looking in, the friendly faces who have known Boromir in his darkest of moments and know there is more going on within him- who have the benefit of infrequent visits to see the toll living like this has taken on their friend- who come from a country that values leisure and enjoyment and fulfilment and care-!!! It’s their encouragement and conversation that allows Boromir to see what needs to be done, and to let go of there being any shame in doing it. What he realises is, in fact, none of this is helping anyone. 

And so after a lot of difficult and unsatisfying but productive conversations with his family, Aragorn and Faramir specifically, Boromir cedes the sceptre to Faramir. He does this publically, giving a truly inspiring speech (which I always imagine very... ‘one last time/george washington is going home - Hamilton’ ‘I want to sit under my own vine and fig tree // A moment alone in the shade // At home in this nation we've made’ esque) And there’s talk and reassurance and discussion and if I talk about the people of Minas Tirith raising a farewell and thank you celebration for him I WILL cry so MOVING ON- 

Merry and Pippin just!! Take him with them!!! They take the most leisurely way home, through Rohan where they stay for months with Eomer and/or Theodred (look this is for me and Boromir and Theodred are narrative parallels so they either live or die together cOOL? cool moving on) They talk with their friends and Boromir gets to spend time with his cousin and see her settled in and finally get some time with Theodred too and do a bit of rebuilding there but! The purpose of the trip is not settled and eventually they set off again, eventually through lands Boromir has never seen before and people who do not know him at all and the relief is palpable!! He enjoys just the simple act of learning about the place where his two friends came from and that being ALL he has to worry over. And just as Gandalf said, he discovers one can never be sure that one understands hobbits.

I don’t think he lives permanently in the Shire. It’s too far from Minas Tirith and the family who is waiting for him to come home and finally put effort into mending the wounds war torn between them. Which he’s so determined and excited to do after this. But he spends a long time in the Shire still! And I think he eventually settles in Rohan, close enough to Minas Tirith that he can ride to see her beautiful white towers when he needs too, but not ever hovering over him, weighing him down with the shadows and struggles and horror that he has inexorably tied to her without even knowing it. BOROMIR HEALS AND FINALLY FINDS THE PEACE IN HIS HEART THAT HE WAS FIGHTING FOR FOR EVERYONE ELSE, HE FINDS IT LATER THAN MOST, BUT HE GETS THERE!!! FUCK

Thank you. I did eventually find a copy and read it. I don’t think its bad because its problematic (its nowhere near coherent enough to rise to that level) - its bad because its possibly the worst thing Andrew Hussie has ever written on a very basic, ‘this is first draft word salad’ level. From a writing standpoint I am embarrassed to read it - “oh, no, shit, Andrew accidentally sent along the backup of his original outline draft, oh no-one was ever supposed to read this this is every author’s nightmare.” It doesn’t quite have doodles and fancy calligraphy versions of his name scribbled in the margins, but it might as well have.The wizard jpegs are pretty dope, tho.
