Hollyleaf should have been the fourth

Spoilers for Omen of the Stars and Power of Three

I like to think the only reason Dovewing had powers was because Starclan thought Holly was dead. They clearly don’t see into the tunnels (why else is Fallen Leaves stuck), so they would’ve believed she died like Lion and Jay did.

I also like to think that the reason she didn’t know about her powers is because of her blind loyalty to the warrior code. Her power, similar to Jay and Lion’s, would surpass the warrior code so she unintentionally limited herself because of the code. After the rockfall, she began to see the cracks and immoral parts of the code and then let herself be more her, rather than what she thought she had to be in order to be a good warrior.

Her power should’ve been what Firestar’s was, but in a different sense. She obviously had a strong connection with the dead. Fallen Leaves only showed himself to Jay and that was through his time travel/dream walking weirdness. I think she should have had the power to speak to the dead, see them as they walked among the living. This could’ve tied into the dark forest leading their recruits on secret scouts of the clan territories and seeing them speak to recruits outside of night training (like Hawk and Tiger did to Lion as an apprentice).

Holly deserved to be one of the four, originally meant to be apart of the three. She also deserved to live and become Hollystar in my opinion, but her death was also honorable.

my other fire man hot take is i wish his death in oots had been used earlier for shock value, the three thinking they’ve found the fourth cat only for firestar to be brutally killed in the dark forest attack and the clans are left scrambling

Two beasts, two heroes, two warriors of light...

I always thought that these two characters needed more attention, their story is unique and I have always loved it

I love the master and student relationship that was created for them, how Twilight had the support of his predecessor, sharing a burden, that's why I developed their story more in my comic, and I can't wait for them to reunite!

This is my drawing dedicated to them, and personally I love it very much and I think it would be a nice sticker 🥰
