One Way Dream from Frontiers please!
Great pick!
A great ending track for this game. I like the balance between the light hearted, kind of "typical" sound for a Sonic ending song with the bigger energy this track provides. The distorted guitars do a lot for this. I do like the choice to not really amp up the drums into that double-time feel until the first chorus--you can tell the song wants to take off, but it's nice to anticipate it and really dig in when it does. The drums even get their own time to shine after holding back in the second verse. The instrumentation at the fringes--particularly the piano, although there's some synth strings as well, is a nice touch without being overbearing on the feel. This song is melodic, triumphant, and ends quite thoughtfully with the piano and vocals going solo.
"We can go much higher now, gravity can't hold us down!"

One Way Dream Credits Song for the True Ending of the game
Tomoya Ohtani: "Sonic Frontiers is a massive game, but we put a lot of thought into the soundtrack from start to finish. We want you to play the game all the way to the end and listen to the true ending song “One Way Dream”. It contains a message from the Sonic Team."

I haven’t had this much fun with a Sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2, but if I’m being generous I can say since Sonic Generations.
GAME: Sonic Frontiers
PLATFORM: PC

Just wanted to make a very important sonic-related announcement that Nathan Sharp, the guy who sang Endless Possibilities in the big 2021 Symphony AND One Way Dream from Sonic Frontiers has an ENTIRE SONIC ALBUM that he put out on Spotify back in 2020. I have been a fan since the day it released and it is a tragety that more people don't know about it.

Also there is an expanded album with more of Shadow's themes on it

Sonic comic lyric dialogue
This long after Frontiers' release, and no sign of it's song lyrics in the IDW comics' dialogue. I feel at some point, somebody has to say some of the following:
"You can throw me to the wolves, 'cause I am undefeatable!"
"I've been here waiting for the longest time; I can't believe it's real!"
"Will the whole world know your name, when we dance with destiny?"
"With my life I fight this fear! In my hand I hold the ones I love!"
"We're only at the beginning of this one way dream!"

Now that everyone's firing Frontiers back up, I wanna talk a bit about One Way Dream.
First off, I saw rumblings of Nate having a song in the game and it being "a message from Sonic Team" before beating it on Hard. So while I didn't get to have a "NATEWANTSTOBATTLE???" moment, I knew beforehand what lens to receive the lyrics through.
I held it in through the first verse. I got a little shaky during the second.
And then... "Even if they laugh, we'll never bite the dust." That's when the tears came.
I should state the obvious: Corporations Are Not Our Friends. I understand this; it's why I held off making this post for months. There's no need to remind me.
That being said.
I watched Sonic Team have to pull back, further and further every year. Backed into a corner, corporate mistakes echoed at them whenever they tried to climb out. I watched them try, just before stagnating for a decade. With staff leaving for greener pastures, pressure from their parent company, and jokes where there could've been honest criticism, it's not a choice I can blame them for.
For all the shit we get for still liking these games, the people making them seem to get it just as bad, if not worse. And unlike us, they couldn't outright talk about it if they wanted to. That would be critical of their parent company, critical of the people who book interviews with them just to bring up '06. That would be complaining. Or worse: unprofessional.
So to suddenly see them make something that lasted longer than 10 hours... with exploratory gameplay and boss fights like THAT... with fondness for the characters' pasts and setups for their futures... with rough edges, yes, but with updates that prove they've been listening to us... all to the tune of a 30% pay raise and the highest-selling Sonic game since 2003...
...and then hear this?
Yeah.

Has anyone noticed that in One Way Dream that Reach for the stars is in the instrumental? Not to mention the lyric of "Let's show the world what we can do" is similar to the start of Fistbump's chorus "We can show the world what we can do". I wonder what other references this song has.
